Writing the sequel to my first novel Inheritance

Well I have a lot of work to do. Just finished the book outline and plan and the first two chapters drafted (20,000 words). Christmas is around the corner, a time with the family and a welcome interruption. I just need to work harder before the family arrives.
An author's work is never finished for me at least as I have another three projects on the boil, so I need to finish book two to write book three, four, ......

But Christmas will give me time to read a couple of books for the Goodreads reader challenge over the Christmas period.

Novel-In-Progress

My next novel continuing from my first novel Inheritance is coming along nicely. I hope to have the first draft completed by June this year and my timetable is looking achievable with 67135 words so far. Then the real work begins the editing process and although this can be gruelling it is also the most satisfying.

Novel in progress

Last night completed 87,688 words of the first draft of my novel in progress. The story and plot are developing very well but I had to make a slight change to one of my minor characters who will take a major role in the story.
It is surprising how as you are developing the characters and plot how an author might identify in the beginning a character's relationship in the story but left them as minor player but in the back your mind you feel that this character will take a more active role.
I now feel the story and plot are better integrated. I have a month to finish the first draft.
