Novel-In-Progress

My next novel continuing from my first novel Inheritance is coming along nicely. I hope to have the first draft completed by June this year and my timetable is looking achievable with 67135 words so far. Then the real work begins the editing process and although this can be gruelling it is also the most satisfying.

Editing

I have started the editing process of the novel in progress and buoyed with the knowledge that my cover has been done, by an Australian Graphic Designer from Western Australia, fantastic job too. So my target to have the novel ready for publication by Christmas 2016 looks good.
I also have a friend who has been writing stories of the people he has met and after I read them feel that they should be published, so I've offered to assist him to get them published, watch this space.

Editing, Plot

At the end of June, I started the second draft/edit of my novel in progress and so far, I’m happy to say, no drastic plot changes were required. Main changes centre on dialogue, missing words, grammar and conciseness. I hope to finish this phase by end of August, early September. Then a short break and onto the final pass. My goal to publish by December/January still looks achievable but only time will tell.

Editing

Novel in progress has now entered the third edit phase. I look forward to a quick turn around with only minor changes to dialogue/grammar. The cover is complete and the back cover blurb in draft, all going well.

Editing

Progressing well with the edit phase of my novel in progress. The characters are growing and are beginning to have minds of their own. Feels like I'm being taken over.

Editing

October was not a good month with my writing and editing of the novel in progress. We visited the grandchildren and in-laws up and down the coast. It was great to catch up with them all and had a good time. So my timetable has slipped and now I estimate the NOP will be completed by end of January as Christmas and Holidays a coming. Frustrating to say the least but we move on.
