Welcome to April! Let's give the Earth some love

{Latest newsletter} Welcome to April! Is this the most insanely fast year or what?

We have entered the most energetically intense month of 2014. Are you feeling it on some level? There is a heightened sense of anxiety, uncertainty, wonder, and possibilities. You may feel edgy at times, or fearful, or insecure, or insanely confident. The extremes are higher as waves of "new stuff" are pulsing through the air, prodding us to be more than we've ever been before. Parts of you could be resisting; parts of you could be wildly excited. An intensity is moving through us because it is time to move forward from "who you have been" into "who you really are" - big doses of trust and opportunities to leap will be required.

On a human level, this is new. On a soul level, it's a perfectly planned opening to more of You.

Astrologically, this is a crazy-powerful time because April offers turning points for us individually and collectively. I outline more of the astrology milestones here, including the two eclipses, the Cardinal Grand Cross, and the Pluto-Uranus square. I cannot remember a single month in recent years that held this much energy.

Depending on where in your astrology chart these significant transits occur is where you are ready for change. And because there are many transits going on, it means many areas of life are energetically heightened and will be changing over the next few months and into the rest of the year.

The one thing you can count on: You are ready for whatever changes, breakthroughs, opportunities, and insights come your way. You really, really are ready on a soul level, even if your Ego-Mind fights it or dives into fear.

One of the most effective ways for dealing with anything new is to EMBRACE it. Don't struggle against the change because that creates greater strife within yourself.

Instead, go into a detached observer mode and describe what you're feeling to yourself: I am feeling (this emotion) because I do not know what will happen next. I am feeling (this emotion) because I am afraid of (insert your fear). I am feeling (this emotion) because (insert your reason).

This simple practice of being a neutral observer is grounding. You may have a whole bevy of emotions come up throughout the month. And that is normal! You are multiple layers of energies and all parts of yourself need to be heard. And loved. And hugged. And supported.

Because ultimately, when you love and acknowledge yourself in the present you connect with the best of yourself that is always available regardless of external circumstances. It's a very exciting time to be evolving and growing because there are higher vibrations and frequencies available to us than ever before. This means greater EASE, PEACE and LOVE can guide you forward.

Our beautiful Earth is feeling the energy right now, too. I have a free app on my phone called Earthquake Alert! (Android), and I look at it almost daily. Since the New Moon on March 30th, numerous locations along the Pacific Rim have experienced many earthquakes measuring 3.0 or higher on the Richter scale: Japan, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, India, China, Alaska, California, Honduras, and Chile have all been moving. 

Plus, many places not known for earthquakes have been shaking, including Utah, Idaho, Yellowstone National Park, Oklahoma, Greece, and Romania.

Let's take a quiet moment and send loving prayers to our brothers and sisters in Chile who have been rocked by 8.2 and 7.6 earthquakes in recent days.

Earthquakes remind us how we are all connected by the physical world. On a soul level, we each consciously chose to be here at this time and we have the ability to support each other globally. Include the world in your prayers, meditations, and intention. The energy we consciously create now truly makes a difference.

22,144 downloads! THE ART OF TRAPEZE Makes Kindle Top 100

WOW, and YAY, and THANK YOU!!!

THE ART OF TRAPEZE made it into the Kindle Top 100!

With 22,144 downloads in TWO DAYS!

(I was so excited I took that home-style, completely amateur photo of my Kindle with my phone.)

With this high number of downloads in a short amount of time, the book made it to #6 on the Kindle Top 100 and then showed up on the first page of every Kindle device worldwide and reached new global readers!

I even thought the download number was a mistake at first and was grateful to see "2,214" downloads - before discovering the fifth digit. Needless to say, this is beyond exciting for an indie author doing all of her own marketing and promotion. Especially since the book is no longer "new"; it was released last June.

The formula works like this - when a book gets thousands of downloads within a short period of time, it MIGHT break into the Kindle Top 100 (the holy grail of Amazon promotion). When this book was originally released, it got really, really close to the Kindle Top 100 with an impressive #196. I shook my fist in the air (doh, so close!) and then let it go. Release expectations, move ahead, focus on what's next. Get going forward.

As an indie author, you have to keep persevering and believing in yourself. It's on you, all you, and you must commit to yourself and your dream - mentally, emotionally, spiritually, fully. My marketing strategy has realistic goals, and in combination with word-of-mouth organic sharing, this well-received book got its own traction which took it to a whole new level.

5 Attributes of Conscious Uncoupling

A "new" concept hit the mainstream this week due to Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announcing the end of their marriage - conscious uncoupling. Perhaps you’ve heard the rumblings?

It’s exciting to see this concept get people talking because it is actually a Trojan Horse term that signifies a soul growth relationship! In spiritual circles, we’ve been talking about these relationship changes for years and now an example hits mass consciousness. How perfect!

Let’s break it down:

Conscious:  Awareness. Inquiry. Looking for meaning. Reflection.

Uncoupling: Separation. Un-marrying. Parting. Ciao, baby.

Put together, the concept signifies an awareness that a partnership has been a blessing to each person’s growth, development, and healing, and now there is a conscious choice by each individual to follow their best growth trajectory.  The relationship is no longer supportive of what an individual needs, or who they are now, or what is best for them at this point in their life. Conscious uncoupling brings in gratitude for the relationship, the lessons learned, the healing opportunities, and the time shared together.

When we make relationship choices from a conscious perspective, we have the potential to eliminate a lot of emotional energy. Instead of focusing on blame, resentment, anger, hurt, or pain, there is a detached understanding that this partnership has ran its course (for whatever reasons). You turn inward instead of project outward.

An intention for soul growth cannot always be fulfilled in a single marriage or one long-term relationship. And are you beating yourself up to make it work, stick it out, or struggle to keep it together? Social, religious, and cultural programming has supported couples staying together for centuries, but as we collectively expand our consciousness and connect to soul growth lessons, there is deeper inquiry into the best choices that can be made for each person’s life purpose.

But we mustn’t idealize these situations completely, or the individuals involved, because humans are complicated. We have layers of energies and trigger zones. We enter partnerships, especially legally binding ones, with a lot of expectations and dreams. To use the term “conscious uncoupling” does not mean everything is peaceful and great and emotion-free between two people. There may be huge disappointment, sadness, or feelings of loss around the change, and the most healthy situations allow for a mourning process.

Conscious uncoupling means there is a personal awareness by both parties that we are making this choice together to go our separate ways, but there will still be tough decisions to make, rough spots to navigate, and potential discord. Again, humans are complicated. We’re figuring out relationships with others as opportunities to figure out relationships with our Self more. It’s a life-long pursuit.

 

5 Attributes of Conscious Uncoupling:

Personal Responsibility: Full ownership of one’s lessons, healing, and growth opportunities in the partnership.

Less Emotional Warfare: Doing inner work to understand personal emotional patterns and trigger zones without projecting blame, pain, anger, or hurt onto the partner.

Self-Reflection: What did I learn in this relationship? What do I need to change in myself going forward? How did this relationship help me grow?

A Focus on Mutual Respect: Allowing each partner to choose what is best for them with respect and love.

Acceptance: Removing expectations and attachments of “what might have been” and instead focusing on peace for the reality of who each person is, what they need, and/or the choices that are best for them.

 

Spiritually speaking, there are deeper soul meanings to conscious uncoupling. We form partnerships for any number of soul reasons – karma, soul agreements, soul contracts, healing, etc. – and when the soul reason is fulfilled, both individuals have the choice to move on to their next level of soul growth.

Karma is complete. Soul lessons are learned. A new level of personal awareness is mastered. A soul agreement is fulfilled. Personal wounds are healed. Greater self-knowingness is determined.

In the highest sense, conscious uncoupling is an awareness of how partnerships are a reflection of Self, and when the Self grows and evolves in significant ways, key relationships must stay up to speed with this growth in order to be sustainable and healthy. If the relationship does not grow, a number of qualities may pop up to grab one’s attention, ranging from discomfort and dissatisfaction to escapism through betrayal, addictions, or blame. A conscious individual will turn inward for answers with responsibility, acceptance, and a focus on Love.

From the soul perspective, relationship changes can signify a celebration of growth and mastery. There is appreciation for the partner soul who supported healing. There is an acknowledgement of Self for the courage and self-respect to move forward. There is a connection to greater Love within one's being and an opportunity to bring that new awareness forward into the next relationship.

There is nothing truly lost among relationship changes.

Only more Love to gain as a new journey begins.

Astrology Forecast - March 20 to April 20

From the collective of Pisces emerges the Soul’s desire to experience itself in human form. Aries is born as an initiator to kick-start the journey of physical Light with enthusiasm, initiative, motivation,and leadership. Charged with the ability to begin a new task, Aries will lead the pack on the road to self-discovery and assert themselves as a pioneer discovering new terrain.

What new beginnings are you ready to initiate? What is the biggest, brightest dream you can hold for yourself? What do you want to focus on creating and manifesting in your life over the next 12 months?

March 20, 2014 is the annual Spring Equinox, the dawn of a fresh energetic cycle designed to support the next phase of your soul's growth. The Equinox is the "equal balance" point from the inner, reflective Winter Solstice to the bright, external Summer Solstice. Day and night are in equal balance at this time, providing us with a stable place to start anew.

The Sun moves into Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, activating your pioneering spirit and personal leadership so you can move forward with confidence.

The Light of Aries shines brightly when actions are taken to honor, respect, and guide All with the highest of intentions for their personal awareness and growth. Aries shows us where to lead with fresh energy and where we must honor our relationship with Self.

However, Mars, the ruler of Aries, is retrograde in Libra until May 19, and this will create a 'halting' energy to your best laid plans. Before pushing forward, consider how your actions effect others, and make sure your grand plans are in the spirit of cooperation. Mars has a tough time in Libra, especially while retrograde, so adjust your expectations to include diplomacy, communication, and heart chakra energy. Too much ego will crash-and-burn and being passive-aggressive will backfire in relationships. Be clear about what you want and trust in yourself to create it.

After 18 months in Scorpio and Taurus, the Nodes change signs on March 22 and enter Libra and Aries. The North Node moves into Libra and the South Node goes into Aries reinforcing intelligent considerations and partnerships instead of instinctual self-interest action. From now until mid-October 2015 we'll be focusing on working together and balancing our individual desires with smart conversations and co-creation. You may want to forge ahead as a solo act, but it's wiser to halt your impulsive decisions and think things through a bit longer. In all honesty, this may be hard if you have a lot of Aries/fire/or strong Mars in your chart, but all you need to do is PAUSE and breathe before charging. 

A New Moon on March 30th is bursting with spirited energy and motivation, setting the stage for powerful intentions that are in alignment with your heart's desires.Trust yourself and follow where your energy rises. Tune into your solar plexus regularly as an indicator of your power center. It's a great time for breaking through your own walls or unconscious barriers that have kept you small. Burst forth with delight in who you are!

Collectively, we will all be experiencing huge shifts in April 2014 because this month holds the signature of The Big Bang Theory – powerful forces transmuting energy into a completely new creation. More of that is explained here.

April 15th is the first eclipse of 2014 and shows up as a Lunar Eclipse at 25 degrees of Libra that also connects to the growth potential of the North Node in Libra. We're creating new, healthy relationships that will support authentic sharing, cooperation, and inner peace. If you feel an inner fight occurring, listen to your inner warrior and show it peace. This is not a matter of survival, it is a matter of co-existing together. Calm down the desire to prove yourself and reinforce the ability to just be yourself.

Relationships that are not supportive, healthy, or meant to go forward will be revealed to you during April. And in perfect order, new people will show up with like-minded energy and intentions so you can grow together - woot, woot! Also, quick changes and accelerations in partnerships can occur this month, so be ready for whoever shows up in your life to (most likely) be an ally and friend.

Venus in Pisces rules the powerful Lunar Eclipse, and Venus's placement is dissolving separation within partnerships and further opening us up to “I AM” energy – an incredibly high vibration! April is also prime for more people awakening to their soul energy, life purpose, and personal path of growth.

If you could go back and speak to yourself upon awakening, what would you say?

A push-pull energy is also present throughout the month because of the overfall combined energies of the Sun in Aries, Mars in Libra (retrograde), and the Nodes in both of these signs. Find a place of balance for yourself where you can think things through and then take action – or just wait it out if you don't have to rush anything. The more you can work with the energy internally, the better off you'll be by not starting external conflicts with others, whether consciously or not.

The Sun moves into Taurus on April 20, and then we ignite Cardinal Grand Cross energies! The second half of April is uber-powerful, and you may feel it building up throughout the month. Full Moon in Virgo: Clean Up, Let Go, Get Ready!

As the Sun moves through the final degrees of Pisces until March 19, we are completing an energetic journey that started twelve months ago. Where were you one year ago this month? It may even be hard to remember specifics because of how much has changed and accelerated in this timeline.

More importantly, where are you feeling nudged to “clear off your desk” before a new cycle begins? What do you need to get rid of, throw out, or release because it feels stale, outdated, or too small? Anything that makes you uncomfortable in some way is showcasing an energetic disalignment. Remembering to release, allow, exfoliate, and be in the flow are essential daily practices.

The Virgo Full Moon at 26 degrees reveals how you’ve been tending to daily matters and the physical world while also balancing your spiritual wellbeing, including knowing when to let go and trust.

If anything is causing you stress right now, focus on how you can balance your expectations and find greater ease. Turn worry into affirmative prayer. Speak about a matter as if it is already perfectly solved and complete: “I feel peace around the perfection of my financial situation now.”

This Full Moon is an excellent time to clean up your energy field: physically, mentally, spiritually. Look at what no longer serves a purpose in each of these areas - and throw it out in the spirit of spring cleaning! More accurately, transmute it into a higher expression of self-love, acceptance and joy.

Virgo and Pisces share the theme of “responsibility” – Virgo can feel responsibility for every detail; Pisces can feel responsibility for everyone. The lower expressions of this theme show up as martyrdom, blame, escapism, and resentment: Why am I doing all the work? Why am I the one who cares the most?

If you have any of that subconscious programming showing up this weekend, see it as a potential for grand transformation. Time to transmute those expressions into higher perspectives that incorporate  Forgiveness, Compassion, and Self-Love.

Make a commitment to implement greater trust in the fact that you’re always exactly where you need to be - and doing the very best you can. Call forth personal compassion. Don’t allow the Inner Critic or Relentless Perfectionist to run the show. Consciously stop it in its tracks and put it in the light of Love.

Be responsible with your time, energy, and thoughts. Bigger things are ahead and you don't want to be distracted by inconsequential matters!

A powerful new cycle begins on March 20, the Spring Equinox, followed by a super-charged Aries New Moon on March 30. Then we enter April, a game-changer month packed with two eclipses, a Cardinal Grand Cross, and the fifth Pluto-Uranus square. The more you purify now, the more open you’ll be to receive the incoming blasts!  And are we ready for incredible upgrades and amazing developments, or what?
