What Has Been A Powerful Lesson For You?

The first thing that comes to my mind is… the power of endings. Yep, that would summarize a lot of life changes I’ve experienced in the last five to seven years.
The second thing that comes to my mind is that cliché phrase, “When one door closes, another one opens.” I know that is true, or else it wouldn’t be a cliché. But there is that distinct phase after a door closes, and the new door has yet to open, when I am looking up and down the hallway for answers: Why is this over now? What was the true lesson? Could I have changed it? Did something go wrong... did I do something wrong?
Or, I could be standing in the hallway feeling peacefully complete with the experience, eager for the next opportunity to show up. And at that point I’m not just standing around in the hallway waiting. Nope, I’m impatiently pacing, roaming and shouting, “Open up, next door, open up! I’m ready for you NOW!”
But during my questioning, impatience and eagerness for the new, I know in my spiritual Self there is a deeper understanding about why an ending occurred. It’s very simple, really: Endings occur when the energies no longer match up. The energies are at different places, going different directions. The connection has changed and the vibrations doe not harmonize. A separation is the next result.
These energetic partings can happen in many directions. One wants to go right, the other left. One wants to go internal, the other wants to remain external. One wants to find “the new” and the other wants to stick to “the old.” One wants to go fast, and the other is much slower. I have experienced endings due to all of these changes of direction in the past few years. My Ego generally kicks in and wants to make sure I am the “higher/right/better” person in these situations, but I know it’s not about the Ego’s need for validation and superiority. It’s about recognizing energies changing based on each person’s free will, their soul’s growth path, and the choices they see available to them at that moment in time. All changes are always in Divine order.
Yet I don’t always have this perspective. I forget it. I lose it in my closet. I put it down and then stack books and mail and keys on top of it. I’ve even kicked it around on the floor as I move through my emotional process, forgetting that answers are right at my feet.
But when I discover this perspective again, my soul does a little happy dance of recognition (A-ha! Yay! Ooooh, that’s right! I KNEW that!).
Then I move to that higher level of peace, and connect with an open heart: It wasn’t personal. It wasn’t “bad.” It wasn’t wrong. It wasn’t even final because I know we are always connected to people we love. And I know this ending happened for the best because I believe that is the foundation for every life event: We are each growing, evolving souls doing our best every day.
Endings occurr because something even better is coming through that next door that matches my energy even better (“Open up, next door, open up! I’m ready for you now!).
So as I sit (pace..roam...loiter...) in the hallway between endings and open doors, I consciously connect to this perspective. I remind myself that the power of endings is simply the power of energy changing. It is the power of soul-level decisions happening. It is the power of free will in motion. It is the power of choice. It is Divine.
I am so grateful to reconnect to this powerful place of peace because it leads me to a new, better door opening.
Then at the perfect time, and in the most perfect way, I see a door handle begin to gently turn. The door slowly creeps open. My eyes open wide with joy. My hand touches my heart:
This new door opening is PERFECT... and beautiful... and even better than I ever could have imagined..woooow...
I gather myself together and take a deep breath. Then I gratefully turn, and kiss that beautiful hallway goodbye until we meet again.

The Evolution of Your Consciousness

Are You Open To Receive Right Now?

Receiving is a necessary component to the continual flow of Universal energy.
Receiving balances. It renews. It is the inhale to every exhale. It is a connection to the eternal ebb and flow of blessings that surround us.
Receiving energy is required for your life force to prosper, grow and breathe.
It is your birthright to receive in numerous ways as cycles of energy come to you.
When you are open to receiving, miracles happen. Doors burst open. Gifts arrive with your name on them. People who need your talents find you.
Often times we meet receiving opportunities with our Ego Mind leading the way:
What did I do to deserve this?
Is this a mistake?
Do I need to pay for this?
Ah, no, this would be better suited for someone else.
No, thank you! I'm doing okay as it is.
Yet a Universal truth is that like-energy attracts like-energy. If something has arrived in front of you, it is an opportunity to receive the like-energy that you exhibit in the world. You absolutely deserve it without further questioning, analysis or doubt.
Receive with grace. Be open to all the possibilities of happiness, creativity and abundance you deserve.
Allow it all to come flooding in.
Inhale. Exhale. Allow. Receive. With grace.

Full Moon in Gemini: Prioritize During The Hustle and Bustle
The Full Moon on December 17 at 25 degrees of Gemini is a burst of activity in the final week before Christmas and Boxing Day. The Moon in Gemini is BUSY on a daily basis, loves variety, and filters feelings through the mind - then wants to talk it out. Gemini is ruled by Mercury, which is currently in Sagittarius; this is the energy of the big talker, thinker, believer, visionary. Many people will feel extra busy this week - emotionally, verbally, energetically; the quintessential hustle and bustle of the season. Prioritize. Breathe. Pause before committing.
Full Moon’s illuminate what was unconscious and are a high point to the preceding New Moon (Dec 2). Ego-Mind energies are especially active with fire (Sag) and air (Gemini) combos, and we could easily get caught up in believing only what we think. Thankfully, Jupiter in Cancer asks us to listen to our hearts, trust our feelings, and tune in to our real needs. Do you really want to attend that party or does it feel like a heavy obligation? Are you giving a lot of gifts/energy/time externally and not receiving the same for your internal needs? Watch where your energy rises and sinks, and trust that guidance.
Uranus in Aries goes direct on the same day as this Full Moon after appearing to be in reverse mode since July. This is a significant shift in energy, like moving the car from reverse into drive and slamming your foot on the gas. Erratic or reckless “driving” could result, so remember to take a few deep breaths to ground yourself if you feel a charge of energy roar through. Uranus in Aries is moving to connect with Pluto in Capricorn again in April (Round 5!) and shake-ups will result. If you’re following your true path and owning who you are, this could lead to magical manifestations.
Interestingly, Saturn in Scorpio and Jupiter in Cancer are in a lovely trine which also reinforces energies from July. Whatever you were working on in the summer could now have added flow and ease, as well as direct manifestations. This assumes you remember July… it might feel like five years ago.
It is also the last full week before the Winter Solstice (in the Northern Hemisphere) on December 21 and then we start to receive greater daily light as we move towards the Summer Solstice. This natural cycle focuses on reflection, inner work, and rest. Retreating inward is seasonally supported as we shift from the buoyancy of Sag to the solitude of Capricorn. Cap reminds us that we are the source of our own integrity and the path is of our own making.
The last week of 2013 is incredibly dynamic - one of the most energetic of the whole year! I feel it as a gateway between worlds: your 2013 Self expands into a truer version of your 2014 Self. We will be given opportunities to consciously own how much we’ve grown, evolved, and changed in a single year. Tensions may come up with family and friends because each of us is growing on our own timeline and in our own manner; this is not a group endeavor. Take really good care of yourself as 2013 closes. Appreciate, acknowledge, and respect yourself. Write a love letter to you calling out how fabulous you’ve been this year.

Like children, you shouldn't publicly say that you have a favorite. But nevermind that - I have a favorite child! Except it's a book, so no nap times or toys are involved.
The Modern Heroine's Journey of Consciousness is my current top pick because it takes the journey from The Art of Trapeze to a whole new level of understanding around spiritual growth and expanding consciousness. The way our lives unfold is based on numerous energies, dynamics, and choices, and Modern Heroine explains the deeper issues and reasons behind key life situations.
Modern Heroine shares WHY I moved to certain geographic locations... experienced deep emotions... connected with certain people at certain times...had key transition points and experiences and all of those elements that create a journey.
