Ceci n’est pas une pipe!

Nope!
It’s a novel and it is DONE! We’re clocking in at 75,600 words (haha! Remember when I thought it would be a short story? How to plan a novel, don’t learn it from me) and it took me exactly to the day 2 months to write, edit and re-edit again and again… x50, and proofread. No matter what happens, I am so damn proud.

Now comes the hard part…

Get on a plane and go

This weekend, hubby and I are flying to Myrtle Beach with our 18 month old. It's not the first time we're getting on a plane with him, we did it when he was 3 months and flew to Europe, which left me traumatized to this very day. He cried the entire eight hours there, took ten days to stop being awake through the night, then cried all the way back. While Sunday will only be a fraction of that flight time, it's still stressing me out beyond proportion.

Book Rec: The Salisbury Key by Harper Fox

After allowing this story to percolate for a while, I think I’m finally ready to recommend it. Man, that one really caught me in the solar plexus to the point I didn’t want to talk about it to anyone. This is angst and hurt/comfort and everything you could possibly want out of a story like that, all packed together.

It had my heart in my throat, brain melting out of my ears and made me feel slapped in the face within the first twenty pages. And then it did it all over again. And then it never...
