Five Ways God Uses Your Problems

“My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your decrees. Your instructions are more valuable to me than millions in gold and silver.”
Psalm 119:71–72 (NLT)
Life is a series of problem-solving opportunities. The problems you face will either defeat you or develop you, depending on how you respond to them.
When most people encounter difficulty, they react impulsively or become resentful. They don’t pause to consider what benefit their problems might bring. As a result, they never see how God wants to use problems for good in their lives.
There are five main ways that God uses the problems in your life. I want you to understand what they are so that, next time you face difficulty, you can be on the lookout for how God is working.
God uses problems to DIRECT you. Sometimes God lights a fire under you to get you moving. Problems can point you in a new direction and motivate you to change. Is God trying to get your attention? As Proverbs 20:30 says, “Sometimes it takes a painful experience to make us change our ways” (GNT).
God uses problems to INSPECT you. People are like teabags: If you want to know what’s inside them, just drop them into hot water! Has God ever tested your faith with a problem? What did that problem reveal about you? James 1:2-3 says, “When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience” (NCV).
God uses problems to CORRECT you. Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. When you were a child, your parents likely told you not to touch a hot stove. But you probably didn’t actually learn the lesson until you ignored their instruction and were burned. Sometimes we only learn the value of something—like health, money, or a relationship—by losing it. That was true for the author of Psalm 119: “My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your decrees. Your instructions are more valuable to me than millions in gold and silver” (Psalm 119:71–72 NLT).
God uses problems to PROTECT you. A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. A few years ago, a friend of mine was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss asked him to do. His unemployment was a problem—but it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison a year later when his boss’s actions were uncovered. He was able to say like Joseph did, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good” (Genesis 50:20 NIV).
God uses problems to PERFECT you. Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders: “We know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character” (Romans 5:3-4 NLT). God is far more interested in your character than your comfort. Your relationship to God and your character are the only two things you’re going to take with you into eternity.
You’re going to experience difficulties. Everyone does. When you do, remember that you have a choice. You can let those difficulties defeat you. Or you can choose to let God direct, inspect, correct, protect, and perfect you through them!

God Uses It All for Your Good

“There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. . . . When your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.”
1 Peter 1:6–7 (NLT)
Life is not a series of random accidents. Life isn’t unplanned. It isn’t without meaning. God knows what’s going on. In fact, he’s using every part of your life—the happy times and the difficult ones—to weave your story into a beautiful tapestry.
If you’re a child of God, nothing can come into your life without God’s permission. Everything is Father‑filtered.
Don’t misunderstand. I’m not saying that everything that happens to you is God’s perfect will. That’s just not true. When you sin, that’s not God’s will. When somebody sins against you, that’s not God’s perfect will either.
But God does have a permissive will. In other words, he allows some things without causing them. For example, if I overeat, I may become unhealthy and not feel well. God does not cause that, but he does allow it. In the same way, God does not cause evil and God does not cause suffering. But he does allow them—and then he uses them.
How does God use evil and suffering? He’s an expert at bringing good out of bad! He could have kept Paul out of prison in Philippi, but instead he let Paul go to prison and the jailer became a believer as a result. God could have kept Jesus from the cross, but he let him suffer and die—and because of that, the gift of salvation is available to all who believe!
God loves to turn crucifixions into resurrections. The things you most wish were removed from your life are often the very things that God is using to shape you into who he wants you to be.
The Bible promises, “There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. . . . When your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world” (1 Peter 1:6–7 NLT).
God wants to use your biggest problem for your greatest good. Even when you’re in pain, you can look beyond it and trust that God is in control.
The apostle Paul said it like this, “That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” (2 Corinthians 4:16–17 NLT).

¿Eres perfecto? Absolutamente no. ¿Eres imperfecto? Sí. ¿Eres un pecador? Sí. Pero ¿tienes un valor infinito? Sí. Y eres profundamente amado por Dios.
Reflexiona sobre esto :
¿A quién has estado intentando probar quién eres? .fb-background-color { background: #ffffff !important; } .fb_iframe_widget_fluid_desktop iframe { width: 100% !important; }The post No tienes que Demostrar cuanto Vales appeared first on Pastor Rick's Daily Hope.
God’s Plan to Bring You to Heaven

“God says he will accept and acquit us—declare us ‘not guilty’—if we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, by coming to Christ, no matter who we are or what we have been like.”
Romans 3:22 (TLB)
The Bible says, “This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, ‘It is through faith that a righteous person has life’” (Romans 1:17 NLT).
God’s Word also says, “It is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV).
The Good News is that the death and resurrection of Jesus give us access to God. In other words, we can only get to heaven by trusting in God through his Son, Jesus Christ.
How can you express faith in Christ? Here’s a simple, biblical guide that uses ABCD to help you remember how salvation comes through Jesus:
A – Admit you need a Savior.
We can’t get to God on our own. We’re all sinners. We’ve blown it. Heaven is perfect and we’re not.
But the Bible says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9 NIV).
And the apostle Paul tells us, “God says he will accept and acquit us—declare us ‘not guilty’—if we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, by coming to Christ, no matter who we are or what we have been like” (Romans 3:22 TLB).
B – Believe in Jesus.
The Bible says, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31 NLT). What does it mean to “believe in the Lord Jesus”? It means you believe Jesus is who the Bible says he is, and you trust him for your future with everything you have.
Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6 NIV).
It’s not enough just to believe in God. Your belief must be specific in Christ: “If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved. For it is by our faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved. . . . As the scripture says, ‘Everyone who calls out to the Lord for help will be saved’” (Romans 10:9-10, 13 GNT).
C – Confess your commitment to Jesus.
Tell Jesus you trust him with your life. Confess that you believe in him and his promises. Jesus said, “If you trust me, you are trusting not only me, but also God who sent me. For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark” (John 12:44-46 NLT).
D – Depend on God’s promises.
You can rely on God’s promise in John 3:16: “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (TLB). No matter what you’ve done or how long you’ve done it, God promises that everyone who believes in Jesus will live with him in heaven forever.
Prayer of commitment to Christ
If you haven’t trusted in Jesus and committed to following him, why wait any longer? Pray this prayer:
“Dear God, I believe Jesus Christ is your Son. I confess I have sinned, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died to take away my sins and that you raised him to life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow him as Lord from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

Praying for Others Leads to Recovery

“After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.”
Job 42:10 (NIV)
One of the most powerful stories of prayer and recovery is found in the book of Job. Nobody had more to recover than Job. He was a man who loved and served God but lost almost everything—his wealth, health, and children—in the span of one day.
Job fell to the ground in agony, grieving his losses and suffering physically from illness. Then three of Job’s friends showed up. The Bible says, “They sat on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights. No one said a word to him, because they saw how great his suffering was” (Job 2:13 NIV).
This is a powerful example to remember: When friends are in pain, sometimes the best thing you can do is simply show up. The deeper their pain, the fewer words are needed. This is known as the ‘ministry of presence’—you don’t have to say anything; just be there.
But eventually, Job’s friends did more than sit with him—they started to give advice. A lot of it wasn’t very helpful, and it made God upset. So God told Eliphaz, one of Job’s three friends, to go make some sacrifices. Then God said, “My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer on your behalf. I will not treat you as you deserve” (Job 42:8 NLT).
Notice God said, “Job will pray for you.” Wait—who’s in the crisis here? Who’s lost everything? Job had. Yet God knew recovery wouldn’t come to Job until he prayed for the recovery of others.
Job 42:10 says, “After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before” (NIV). God completely recovered everything Job had lost—and beyond!
You may have suffered some big losses in life. Maybe you’re in a season of loss right now. Don’t just pray for yourself; pray for the recovery of hurting people in your neighborhood, community, church, and world—and watch how God brings recovery to your own life.

Dios quiere que Descanses

“En verdes pastos me hace descansar. Junto a tranquilas aguas me conduce”. Salmo 23:2 (NVI)
¿Siempre andas corriendo?
Salmo 23:2 dice: “En verdes pastos me hace descansar. Junto a tranquilas aguas me conduce” (NVI).
Jesus Prays for Your Recovery

“Satan . . . wants to separate you from me as a farmer separates wheat from husks. But I have prayed for you . . . that your faith will not fail. So when you recover, strengthen the other disciples.”
Luke 22:31-32 (GW)
No matter how badly you think you’ve messed up in life, recovery is possible with prayer. Not only that, but God can use your failures to help others.
In the Bible, Peter is a perfect example of someone who messed up—a guy who had a massive personal and public failure—and then recovered. But in this story, it wasn’t his prayer or someone else’s prayer that helped him recover; it was Jesus’ prayer.
At the Last Supper, Jesus told his disciples that one of them would betray him. Peter, of course, was confident it couldn’t be him. He impulsively told Jesus that he would go to prison with him—and would even die for him!
But Jesus said to Peter, “I can guarantee that the rooster won’t crow tonight until you say three times that you don’t know me” (Luke 22:34 GW).
Jesus didn’t just predict Peter’s fall; he also knew Peter would recover and use his failure to help others. Jesus said in Luke 22:31-32, “Satan . . . wants to separate you from me as a farmer separates wheat from husks. But I have prayed for you . . . that your faith will not fail. So when you recover, strengthen the other disciples” (GW).
That’s what Jesus is doing in heaven for us right now. Romans 8:34 says, “For Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us” (NLT).
He’s praying for you because he knows Satan wants to ruin your life. If Jesus thought there was something more important than praying, he’d be doing that instead. That’s how important prayer is to both the recovery process and the commissioning process. Jesus prayed and commissioned Peter to “strengthen the other disciples”—to encourage his brothers and sisters in God’s family.
And he commissions you to help others too.
You don’t need to worry about how badly you may have fallen in life. Confess your sins and accept God’s forgiveness through faith in Jesus. He knew about your mistakes and setbacks long before you did. God is a God of recovery, and he’ll use every circumstance in your life for his purposes.
No matter how far you feel you’ve fallen, know that God’s grace and purpose can redeem every moment.

Think about the times you’ve messed up in life. In what way does Peter’s story bring you hope?
How does knowing that Jesus is praying for you right now make you feel? What does it do to your confidence? To your sense of peace?
Think of an example of how God might use a mistake you’ve made to help others.
Have you received God’s forgiveness?
No matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been, you’ve got a place in God’s forever family ready and waiting for you. The invitation is wide open. Just believe and receive.
Are you ready? Here’s a prayer you can start with: “Dear God, I know when I die, I’m going to give an account of my life to you. I know I have sinned against you, and I have lived by my plan, not yours. I want that to change, starting right now. I want to turn away from my sins and turn toward you.
“Thank you for sending Jesus to die for all that I’ve done wrong so I don’t have to pay the penalty. I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness. I know only your grace can save me, Lord. I could never be good enough to get into a perfect place.
“Jesus, thank you for loving me so much that you took all my guilt and sin on yourself. You made me acceptable for heaven, and I humbly ask you to save me. I believe in you, Jesus. And I believe you will keep your promise to save me instantly, certainly, completely, and eternally. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”
If you just prayed to accept Jesus, congratulations! Please email me at Rick@PastorRick.com and let me know about it. I’d like to send you some free materials to help you start your journey with Jesus.
