Así es cómo Dios te Mantiene en el Camino

“Me guía por sendas de justicia por amor a su nombre”. Salmo 23:3 (NVI)

 La vida está llena de comienzos y pausas.

Cuando fui de excursión con algunos compañeros del equipo, noté que todos teníamos inicios y paradas en el camino. Nos detuvimos a mirar algo al costado del sendero; empezamos de nuevo. Revisamos los mapas del sendero; hicimos pausas para los descansos.

En tu viaje por la vida, no siempre estás caminando. Siempre incluirá inicios y paradas. De hecho, hay algunas cosas que necesitarás dejar de hacer y otras que necesitarás comenzar a hacer. Cuando sepas cuáles son, estarás preparado para ver las señales de Dios, que en su bondad ha establecido a lo largo del camino.

Si David escribiera el Salmo 23:3 hoy, quizá diría: “me guía por el camino correcto”. El Buen Pastor no solo nos alimenta. Él nos conduce. Él no sólo nos corrige. Él nos dirige.

Quizás te preguntes: “¿Por qué es tan difícil entender qué quiere Dios que haga con mi vida? ¿Por qué la voluntad de Dios a menudo parece escondida? ¿Está Dios jugando conmigo? ¿Disfruta Dios confundiéndome? Por supuesto que no.

Dios nos ha dado una guía en la Biblia, una brújula en nuestra conciencia y un consejero personal en el Espíritu Santo. Claramente, Dios quiere guiarnos por los caminos de la justicia. Esto es importante de entender, porque Dios nunca tuvo la intención de que descubrieras los pasos de su viaje sin Él.

Dios se encarga de involucrarte y hacerte prosperar en su misión. Tu responsabilidad es buscar su guía y obedecer sus instrucciones.

Forgive Because God Forgave You

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)

You will, inevitably, be hurt in this life. And many of those hurts will be intentional—the direct result of what people say about you or do to you. In fact, any time you read the word “forgiveness,” you might call to mind certain heartaches, hurts, and problems from your past. The memories still feel fresh because you’ve been hurt deeply.

When you’re hurt, it’s often hard to consider forgiving the perpetrators. But the Bible gives one very important reason you need to forgive: You forgive others because God forgave you. 

The Bible says in Ephesians 4:32, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you” (NIV).

Thinking about how much God has forgiven you will help you be more forgiving of those who have hurt you.

The opposite is also true. If you don’t believe and accept in faith that you’ve been forgiven by God, you’ll likely have a hard time forgiving others. If you struggle to forgive other people, consider whether you truly believe God has forgiven you. You can talk to him about any doubts you have.

Look at it this way: God has completely wiped your slate clean of sin because of what Jesus did on the cross. Everything you deserve to be punished for has been cleared away because God has forgiven you. When you accept this truth, it becomes increasingly difficult to hold a grudge against someone else.

Remembering God’s forgiveness toward you can make it easier to let go and forgive others—and he has forgiven you. That’s a promise.

Talk It Over

When you hear the word “forgiveness,” what hurts from your past come to mind? Have you forgiven the people who caused those hurts?
Have you experienced God’s forgiveness? Do you really believe you are forgiven? If you do, then freely forgive others. If you don’t, then ask God to help you truly believe you are forgiven and, in turn, to help you forgive other people.
How can you express your thanks to God today for his forgiveness?

Tienes Que Pasar Por El Quebranto

“El Señor está cerca de los que tienen quebrantado el corazón; él rescata a los de espíritu destrozado”. Salmo 34:18 (NTV)

Cada cambio en la vida implica una pérdida, porque dejamos atrás lo viejo para recibir lo nuevo. Toda pérdida conlleva dolor, y todo dolor implica quebranto.

El quebranto no es algo malo; es parte esencial de las transiciones en la vida. Lo que es malo es el dolor sin procesar. Si no te afliges, te quedas estancado emocionalmente y pasarás el resto de tu vida reaccionando a algo que sucedió hace mucho tiempo. ¡Eso no es saludable!

A veces, la única respuesta apropiada y lógica a la vida, es el dolor: las pérdidas, las decepciones, el pecado y el sufrimiento en el mundo. Dios no espera que siempre estés feliz. De hecho, Dios quiere que seas intencional con tu dolor. El dolor es una elección. No todo lo que es útil y saludable te hace sentir bien. Tienes que permitirte hacer duelo por las pérdidas para que puedas recibir la bendición de Dios.

No hay dolor que puedas experimentar que Jesús no entienda. Él ha experimentado toda la soledad, toda la traición y todo el rechazo que posiblemente podamos experimentar. Y la buena noticia es que Él vino a sanar nuestros corazones.

Cuando estás triste, Dios te acerca a Él mismo. El Salmo 34:18 dice: “El Señor está cerca de los que tienen quebrantado el corazón; él rescata a los de espíritu destrozado” (NTV). Cuando estás afligido, puedes sentir que Dios está a un millón de millas de distancia. Pero lo que sientes y lo que es real no siempre son lo mismo. Dios no está a un millón de millas de distancia. De hecho, nunca ha estado más cerca: “restaura a los de corazón quebrantado y cubre con vendas sus heridas” Salmo 147:3 (NVI).

Permite que Dios restaure tu alma con estos tres pasos: 

Confía en el Buen Pastor para perdonar tus pecados. Romanos 3:23-24 dice: “pues todos han pecado y están privados de la gloria de Dios, pero por su gracia son justificados gratuitamente mediante la redención que Cristo Jesús efectuó” (NVI).Libera a tus ofensores, y enfócate en el futuro. Tu alma no puede ser restaurada hasta que dejes ir el resentimiento. “Abandonen toda amargura, ira y enojo, gritos y calumnias, y toda forma de malicia. Más bien, sean bondadosos y compasivos unos con otros, y perdónense mutuamente, así como Dios los perdonó a ustedes en Cristo” Efesios 4:31-32 (NVI).Únete a Jesús para llevar tu carga. Cuando estás unido a Jesús, no tienes que soportar tu carga solo: “Vengan a mí todos ustedes que están cansados y agobiados, y yo les daré descanso. Carguen con mi yugo y aprendan de mí, pues yo soy apacible y humilde de corazón, y encontrarán descanso para su alma. Porque mi yugo es suave y mi carga es liviana” Mateo 11:28-30 (NVI).

God Sees You as Forgivable

“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.”

Ephesians 1:4 (NLT

Forgiven. It’s a word that’s easy to overlook. If you’ve been in church or around Christians for very long, you may have heard it so many times that you don’t even stop to think about it. But today I want you to take a few minutes to think about what it really means to be forgiven—and to be “forgivable.”

Ephesians 1:4 says, “Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes” (NLT). Before God created you, he knew every mistake you’d make and sin you’d commit—even your worst moments. But he still chose to make you, to love you, and to forgive you—to make you “without fault in his eyes.”

That’s the good news of grace: If you receive Christ, your sins are erased. Yet most of us struggle to believe it. Why? Because we often think God is mad at us. When something goes wrong in our lives, we ask, “Why me, God?” And we imagine God responding, “Because you made me angry!” But that’s not how God operates. 

Isaiah 43:25 says, “I am the God who forgives your sins, and I do this because of who I am. I will not hold your sins against you” (GNT). Unlike us, God doesn’t hold grudges. 

Romans 8:1 confirms, “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (NIV). God doesn’t replay your sins. He erases them.

If you’ve committed your life to Christ, here’s what has changed for you:

Many people picture a long line at the gates of heaven, with people hoping to get in. But the moment you accepted Jesus, everything shifted. You don’t have to wait in line. You have a fast pass. You’re already part of God’s family, and your sins are gone.

This is why Jesus came—to save you from judgment and to secure your place in God’s family. You’re not waiting for forgiveness; it’s already yours.

Take a deep breath and say, “Thank You, God, that I’m forgiven because of Jesus.”

Talk It Over

Have you typically thought of yourself as someone who’s “forgivable”? Why or why not?
If you’ve committed your life to Christ, you’re forgiven already. How does knowing you’re already forgiven through Christ shape the way you approach God in prayer and daily life?
God has forgiven you. Is there anyone you need to forgive?

There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

The Bible says in John 3:18, “Those who believe in the Son are not judged” (GNT). And Romans 8:1 says it like this: “There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus” (NLT).

No matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been, you’ve got a place in God’s forever family ready and waiting for you. The invitation is wide open. Just believe and receive.

How do you do that? Trust in God’s character and the grace he extends. Confess your sins and ask God to forgive you. Claim the promise of Jesus, that salvation is free and open to anyone who turns from their sins and agrees to follow him as their Lord and Savior. Humbly ask God to accept you into his forever family.

Are you ready? Then start your journey by praying this simple prayer: “Dear God, I know when I die, I’m going to give an account of my life to you. I know I have sinned against you, and I have lived by my plan, not yours. I want that to change, starting right now. I want to turn away from my sins and toward you.

“Thank you for sending Jesus to die for all that I’ve done wrong so that I don’t have to pay the penalty. I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness. I know only your grace can save me, Lord. I could never be good enough to get into a perfect place.

“Jesus, thank you for loving me so much that you took all my guilt on yourself. You made me acceptable for heaven, and I humbly ask you to save me. I believe in you, Jesus. And I believe you will keep your promise to save me instantly, certainly, completely, and eternally. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

Solo hay una Manera para Deshacerse de la Culpa

“Él fue traspasado por nuestras rebeliones, y molido por nuestras iniquidades . . . Todos andábamos perdidos, como ovejas; cada uno seguía su propio camino, pero el Señor hizo recaer sobre él la iniquidad de todos nosotros”. Isaías 53:5-6 (NVI)

Cada uno de nosotros tiene una buena razón para sentir culpa. ¡Nadie hace todas las cosas bien! Herimos a otras personas. Actuamos de formas egoístas. Muy frecuentemente decimos las cosas menos amables a las personas que más amamos.

Así como no puedes esconder tus pecados de Dios, tampoco puedes ocultarle tu culpa. Y no solamente eso, sino que cuando tratas de cubrir tus sentimientos de culpa, ellos te comen por dentro.

Solamente una cosa funciona para deshacerte de la culpa: Confiesa tus pecados, y confía en el perdón de Dios. La palabra confesión en el griego es homologeo. Homo significa el mismo. Logeo significa hablar. Así que confesión significa estar de acuerdo con Dios. “Tú estás bien, Dios. Yo estoy equivocado”.

Todos los errores que cometerás —hoy, mañana y en los próximos años— ya han sido pagados. Esa es la bondad de Dios.

Jesús tomó toda tu culpa sobre sí mismo y, a cambio, te dio su justicia. Esta es la más básica y fundamental verdad de la Biblia: Tú alma rota vuelve a ser completa en Él.

La Biblia dice en Isaías 53:5 y 6, “Él fue traspasado por nuestras rebeliones, y molido por nuestras iniquidades . . . Todos andábamos perdidos, como ovejas; cada uno seguía su propio camino, pero el Señor hizo recaer sobre él la iniquidad de todos nosotros” (NVI).

Si tú no te sientes perdonado, significa que no comprendes por completo la bondad de Dios. Cuando Jesús murió, Él cubrió todos tus pecados, los lanzó a la parte más profunda del océano, y puso un letrero que dice “No pescar”. Si has confesado tus pecados ante Dios, ¿por qué sigues cargándolos si Él ya los perdonó y olvidó?

God Sees You as Lovable

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

John 3:16 (NIV)

Not only does God see you as acceptable and valuable—he also sees you as deeply lovable. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 NIV).

The verse doesn’t say God loves only beautiful, intelligent, or perfect people. It says God loves the world—all of us. That includes you. Jesus essentially said, “I’d rather die than live without you.” That’s how much God loves you.

Isaiah 54:10 says, “‘The mountains and hills may crumble, but my love for you will never end. . . . ’ So says the LORD who loves you” (GNT).

God’s love has two key characteristics you must never forget:

God’s love is consistent. God isn’t moody or fickle. His love doesn’t depend on good or bad days. A woman once shared how her mother’s moods kept her guessing—one day she’d get a hug from her, the next she’d be ignored or worse. God’s love isn’t like that. He loves you with unchanging, steady affection every single day.

God’s love is unconditional. God’s love doesn’t say, “I love you if . . . ” or “I love you because . . . ” Instead, God’s love says, “I love you. Period.” His love isn’t based on your performance; it’s based on his character. God’s love says, “You’re mine. I made you. I saved you. I redeemed you. I want you with me forever.” God’s love is absolute and doesn’t change. You’ll never need to earn it.

Doubting God’s love leads to trouble. In fact, every time you sin, it’s because you doubt his love and think you know better than he does. For example, when God says to keep sex within marriage, it’s not because he’s restrictive—it’s because he loves you and knows what’s best. But when you choose to step out of his plan and follow your own way instead, you doubt his love and often experience the painful consequences of your sin.

You can build your life on these two truths: God loves you consistently, and he loves you unconditionally. He will never stop loving you, no matter what. That’s a foundation you can trust forever.

Talk It Over

When have you experienced moody, inconsistent love? How has that affected your understanding of God’s love?
When have you doubted God’s love and followed your own path instead of his? What was the result?
God loves you consistently and unconditionally. What difference does that kind of love make in your life?

What is your choice about Jesus?

God proved his love for you through his Son, Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 NIV).

Are you ready to trust God to fulfill his promise of eternal life? If so, start by praying this simple prayer:

“Dear God, I don’t want my sin to separate me from you any longer. You have promised that if I believe in Jesus, you’ll forgive me for everything I’ve ever done wrong, you’ll show me the purpose of my life, and you’ll accept me into your family and bring me to heaven one day to live with you for eternity.

“Jesus, I confess my sin, and I believe you are my Savior. I trust you when you say salvation comes by grace, through faith, and not by anything I do. I ask you to come into my life as my Lord. Today, I commit my life to you.

“I want to live the way you created me to live—at peace and rested—and to use the remainder of my life to serve you. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

Dios Quiere Sacar lo Mejor de lo Amargo en tu Vida

“Ahora bien, sabemos que Dios dispone todas las cosas para el bien de quienes lo aman, los que han sido llamados de acuerdo con su propósito”. Romanos 8:28 (NVI)

Todos estamos incompletos. Todos somos imperfectos. A veces nos lastimamos, ya sea intencionalmente o sin querer. La vida no es justa. Las personas inocentes sufren. Todo el mundo ha experimentado un trato injusto o perjudicial de alguna manera.

¿Cómo respondes a esto? Si comienzas a pensar demasiado en esto, poniéndote ansioso, explotando y preocupándote, tu alma recibe el golpe. Los rencores por lo que otros te han hecho lastimarán tu alma, afectando tus pensamientos, emociones y decisiones. El resentimiento, la amargura, las represalias y la venganza te harán daño.

La Biblia afirma que Dios hará justicia. El juicio viene un día. Las personas que fueron maltratadas, mal juzgadas o tratadas injustamente recibirán justicia. Sin embargo, la venganza no te corresponde: “No tomen venganza, hermanos míos, sino dejen el castigo en las manos de Dios, porque está escrito: «Mía es la venganza; yo pagaré», dice el Señor” Romanos 12:19 (NVI).

Los rencores te ciegan ante todo lo bueno que Dios ha hecho en tu vida. Te vuelves ciego a la verdad. Te vuelves ciego a las necesidades de las personas que te rodean. Tu alma no será restaurada hasta que dejes ir el rencor. Eso es lo que Jesús quiere ayudarte a hacer. Dios quiere restaurar tu alma, sacando las cosas amargas de tu vida y convirtiéndolas en cosas mejores.

Romanos 8:28 dice, “Ahora bien, sabemos que Dios dispone todas las cosas para el bien de quienes lo aman, los que han sido llamados de acuerdo con su propósito” (NVI).

Por supuesto, sabemos que no todo lo que te sucede es bueno. Pero, ¿puede Dios tomar las cosas malas que las personas te hacen y usarlas para bien? Sí. ¿Puede Dios tomar tus pecados y tus errores y sacar el bien de ellos? Sí. ¿Puede Dios tomar tus propias debilidades y tu voluntad destruida y trabajar para bien? Sí. Cualquiera puede sacar lo bueno de lo bueno, pero Dios se especializa en sacar lo bueno de lo malo.

Dios transforma tus heridas en santidad y sabiduría. Él usa las ofensas para eliminar tus decepciones.

Cuando crees que Dios puede sacar cosas buenas de las cosas malas, Él comenzará a reconstruir tu alma: tus pensamientos destruidos, tus emociones destruidas y tu voluntad destruida.

¿Qué personas o situaciones te están incomodando, por algo que te han hecho o no hicieron por ti?¿Cuál es el costo de seguir reflexionando sobre esa ofensa (o esas ofensas)?Cuando oramos por los demás y nos alineamos con el corazón de Dios, es imposible guardar rencor. God Sees You as Valuable

“Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!”

Luke 12:24 (NLT)

God not only sees you as acceptable; he sees you as valuable. If you’re going to see yourself the way God sees you, you need to recognize your worth.

Luke 12:24 says, “Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!” (NLT). God values every bird that flies in the sky—and he values you so much more!

So, how much do you think you’re worth? Not your net worth, but your self-worth. Your value isn’t tied to your wealth. If it were, you could lose it in an instant. Value comes from two things.

1. Who owns it? Ownership determines value. A celebrity’s ordinary possessions can be worth extraordinary amounts simply because of who owns them. A superstar athlete’s sneakers are far more valuable than yours.

Who owns you? The Bible says, “You belong to God” (1 John 4:4 NLT). You were made, saved, and redeemed by him. That makes you infinitely valuable.

2. What is someone willing to pay for it? Value is determined by the price someone is willing to pay. A house, a baseball card, or a piece of art is only worth what someone will pay for it.

How much are you worth? The Bible says, “God paid a high price for you” (1 Corinthians 7:23 NLT). The greatest price ever paid was paid for you. God exchanged his own Son’s life to redeem you. Even if you were the only person on earth, Jesus would have died for you. That’s how valuable you are to him.

The cross proves your worth. God doesn’t make junk, and you are not junk. The people who said you were worthless lied. Their words do not define you. God’s declaration does: You are acceptable and valuable.

When God sees you, he sees someone worth the greatest ransom ever paid. That’s the truth about your value.

If God says you’re of infinite worth, nothing anyone else says can diminish that. Rest in this truth: You are deeply loved, endlessly valued, and eternally significant to God.

Cambia tu Inquietud por la Paz de Dios

“De nada sirve que ustedes se levanten muy temprano, ni que se acuesten muy tarde, ni que trabajen muy duro para ganarse el pan; cuando Dios quiere a alguien, le da un sueño tranquilo”. Salmo 127:2 (TLA)

¿Sabías que a las ovejas no les gusta acostarse? A ellas no. ¡Y somos como ellas! Sin embargo, si no te relajas, Dios te hará acostarte. En el camino de Dios, debes tomarte el tiempo para descansar, no es solo el camino correcto, sino que también es el único camino saludable.

El Salmo 127:2 dice: “De nada sirve que ustedes se levanten muy temprano, ni que se acuesten muy tarde, ni que trabajen muy duro para ganarse el pan; cuando Dios quiere a alguien, le da un sueño tranquilo” (TLA).

Dios quiere que renuncies a tu tendencia a desviarte del rumbo. La inquietud lleva al agotamiento físico, emocional y espiritual. Necesitas más que dormir para curar esos dos últimos.

Uno de los nombres hebreos de Dios es Jehová Shalom. Shalom significa paz. Jehová Shalom significa “Yo soy el Dios de la paz”. Jesús dice en Juan 14:27: “Les dejo un regalo: paz en la mente y en el corazón. Y la paz que yo doy es un regalo que el mundo no puede dar. Así que no se angustien ni tengan miedo” (NTV).

Si Dios dice: “Te estoy ofreciendo un regalo de paz”, lo dice en serio. No es algo por lo que tienes que trabajar. No es algo que mereces. No es algo por lo que suplicas. La paz no tiene nada que ver con una vida libre de problemas. Es simplemente un regalo que debes elegir y está disponible para ti hoy.

“Vengan a mí todos ustedes que están cansados y agobiados, y yo les daré descanso. Carguen con mi yugo y aprendan de mí, pues yo soy apacible y humilde de corazón, y encontrarán descanso para su alma. Porque mi yugo es suave y mi carga es liviana” Mateo 11:28-30 (NVI).

Jesús prometió que, si lo sigues, aligerará tu carga. ¡Puedes descansar en Su promesa!

God Sees You as Acceptable

“Jesus treated us much better than we deserve. He made us acceptable to God and gave us the hope of eternal life.”

Titus 3:7 (CEV)

Rejection is the deepest hurt in life. Whether it’s from a parent, spouse, teacher, or friend, rejection cuts to the core. To avoid it, we spend much of life chasing acceptance—trying to please parents, peers, neighbors, and even people we don’t like.

We buy things we don’t need with money we don’t have to impress people we don’t even know. This drive to be accepted influences our choices: the clothes we wear, the careers we pursue, and the lives we live.

Think back to childhood. How many times did you do something silly or foolish just to be accepted by the crowd? This desire for approval doesn’t fade with age—it only becomes more sophisticated. 

Yet there’s a myth about the relationship between perfection and acceptance: If I can be perfect, then everyone will accept me. But this just isn’t true.

When it comes to perfection and acceptance, there are three things that absolutely are true: One, no one believes you’re perfect. Two, you’ll never be perfect. Three, even if you were perfect, not everyone would accept you; even Jesus—who was perfect—was despised and rejected.

There is nothing you can do that will make everyone accept you. But we still want to be accepted, we want to be loved, and we want people to see our value.

And there’s good news: You can find that acceptance in God through Jesus.

God settled the issue long ago: “He saved us because of his mercy, and not because of any good things that we have done. God washed us by the power of the Holy Spirit. He gave us new birth and a fresh beginning. God sent Jesus Christ our Savior to give us his Spirit. Jesus treated us much better than we deserve. He made us acceptable to God and gave us the hope of eternal life” (Titus 3:5–7 CEV).

If you’ve invited Jesus into your life, God sees you as acceptable, no matter what you’ve done. It’s not because of your achievements, but because of his grace.

1 Peter 2:9 reminds us, “But you are God’s chosen and special people” (CEV). That’s a life-changing truth!

God chose you to live with him forever. That’s where your value comes from—not from others’ approval. There are 8 billion people on earth; it’s okay if a few people don’t like you.

Let this truth free you: God not only loves you, but he likes you, too. If he knows all your flaws and still accepts you, why chase the approval of others? Psalm 27:10 says, “Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me” (NIV).
