2nd Edition-A Week for Love to Bloom Excerpt
I'm super excited to say that the 2nd edition of A Week for Love to Bloom (Soul Mates 101 series, Book 1) will be re-released in less than two weeks! Brett and Hannah (Soul Mates 101, Book 2) will be right behind it, re-releasing only a few days later! They're the first writings I had ever done besides school projects, so I feel I've improved greatly over the last year.
They have been changed from third to first person to match the rest of the novels in the series. I'm working with Amazon to update the original version for those who have already purchased it. I will keep you posted on their decision. Here is an excerpt from A Week for Love to Bloom to hold you over! :)
Lauren's POV:
Feeling something on my face, I open my eyes and find Justin leaning over me, running his thumb down my cheek. “Justin, what are you doing in my room?”“Your mom is a pretty cool lady. She was determined I was coming up here to see you and would not take no for an answer. I brought you bagels.” He holds up a small paper bag for me to see before he sets it on my dresser.“I waited the three days, but you should know I wouldn’t wait a minute longer. Now scoot your butt over, so I can feel your warm body.”“I’m not doing it with my mom downstairs.”“I’m offended. I only plan to cuddle, but I like the way you’re thinkin’, so maybe you need to come over and get into my bed instead.”I pull back the covers. “OK, but you asked for it.”Justin takes a step back. “Shit, Lauren. I didn’t think ahead about what you’d be wearing under the sheets. I guess I thought you’d have pajamas on. This wasn’t a good idea.”I’m wearing a thin white tank top and purple panties. “Oh no, you wanted to invade my bed and cuddle, so you’re going to have to deal with it.”Justin curls up with me, keeping the lower half of his body away from my skin as much as possible.“You know I have to get ready for work soon, right?”“Yeah, and I’m here to work, too.”“Oh yes, that. I forgot.”“Um, Lauren, I need to ask you something. My parents want to know if you’ll come over for dinner tomorrow night.”“Already?” I sit up in bed, apprehension settling in the pit of my stomach. “Are you here this morning to butter me up?”“No, but if you’re into kinky shit, then I’m sure I can find something to do with you and butter,” he says, laughing.Swiftly, I flip the blankets back and straddle him.“Whoa, get off Lauren–Now–Shit.” Justin can’t help but grab my hips and squeeze right at the top of my panties. “Damn, you look so fucking hot. Now I’m getting an erection, and it doesn’t feel good with you on top of it in these jeans. You know I can’t control myself for long, so cut it out.”“Fine, but that’s what you get for springing this on me. I’ll go to your parents’ for dinner, but I’m going to be a ball of nerves.” Climbing off, I sit back on my legs facing him.“I’ll be right by your side. I want my parents to see how special you are.” Justin readjusts himself in his jeans. “I could tell you had a feisty side when we met, but you’re taking it to a whole new level.”“I’ve learned from the best,” I say with a wink.“Woman, one of these days when your mom isn't home, I’m giving it to you in this bed.”
