Nate's: POV:
“Tory, you’re aware of how I feel about it, but are you sure you’re ready to show the world that we’re together? I know you were worried about Pierce.”
“It will be near impossible to hide it, and I don’t want to.”
“Then let’s do this,” I say as the door swings open. After climbing out of the SUV, I step back to let her go in front of me, but I notice that Evan is helping her out on the other side.
Dammit, where did he come from?
I never know what the hell is going on, and for the longest time, I’ve only had to worry about myself. With the crazy fans around and media, I’m going to have to be informed of what we’re doing and where Tory is at all times. I couldn't take it if someone hurt her.
“Nate, go,” my bodyguard, Harvey, says, but I continue to look back at Tory. “He’s got her, Nate. She’ll be right behind you.” Reluctantly, I take off, hurrying toward the lobby.
We’re going in the front doors tonight since it’s supposedly important for our fans to see us out as often as possible, but now that Tory has to be subjected to this mob scene, I’m making Janie change that.
Screw this. I want the media to see us together, so I come to an abrupt stop at the door and turn. As soon as Tory reaches me, I slide my arm around her waist and pull her close.
The volume from the cameramen asking questions goes up, and I hear even more shouting. No one missed that shot, and in about five minutes, the world will know that Tory Page and I are a couple.
