Tuesday Teaser--Christina's Tapestry
STRANDS OF LOVE is releasing from Ellora's Cave on Friday so I thought this week the Tuesday Teaser should be from CHRISTINA'S TAPESTRY, the book that started the Tapestries series.
TEAESER:
The lust in his eyes disappeared in a blink and a cold, hard gleam appeared there instead. “Tapestry?”
Christina swallowed back her fear. After all, this was just a dream. “The one with the castle and the woods and the two warriors standing in front of it.” She motioned with her hands to show him the approximate size. “I bought it from a strange little shop a couple days ago.”
“The prophecy has begun.” His voice was low, his tone almost reverent as he bowed his head for a moment. When he raised his head again, his face was set in determined lines. “You are alone and must come to the castle for protection.”
Christina didn’t like his imperious tone and she liked his command even less. “I think I’ll stay here until I wake up if it’s all the same to you.”
The dumbfounded look on his face told her that no one said no to this man very often. He cocked his head to one side as he stared at her as if trying to figure out whether she was being difficult or if she was just plain crazy. At the moment, she’d opt for the second one. This whole dream was nuts.
Part of her wanted to go with him. If she were lucky, maybe this would turn into another long, erotic dream. A woman didn’t get a chance to have sex with a guy this hot very often, even if it was just a fantasy. But in the harsh light of day, he looked too big, too powerful and just too intimidating as he took another step towards her.
Panicking, she once again threw up her hands in front of her to stop him. “If you’re the warrior from the tapestry, where’s the other one?”
Strong arms enveloped her from behind and a pair of tan muscled forearms clamped around her stomach. She was pulled back against a rock-hard chest as a soft voice whispered in her right ear. “I’m right here.”

A Thank You to My Readers
Writing is a solitary pursuit, especially for someone like me who has never gone to a writer's conference. The only connection I have with readers and other authors is though our online communication. But sometimes that can be extremely powerful.
This past weekend, I blogged over at the Samhain Publishing blog and was humbled by the two ladies who left comments. When I have days of doubt about my work it's words like these that inspire me and remind me I'm lucky to be doing something so very special for a living.
Deb T said, "Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your books. Reading them has helped me make it through several painful days. I am getting ready to start reading the Hades’ Carnival series. So glad that the other two will be out this year. Thank you for your imagination and talent."
And Nancy G said, "I loved the first two Hades Carnival books (I have a teeny tiny crush on Marko) and can’t wait to fall in love with your next hero. They made my surgery so much easier to face, too. Thanks for your amazing stories."
Knowing that I was able to help one woman though a painful time in some small way and to make surgery easier for another was truly humbling. Thank you ladies for sharing with me.
And thank you to all of the wonderful readers who have emailed me over the years. You have no idea how much your kind words and support have meant to me.

New Print Book
I just found out that OUT OF SHADOWS will be released in print on May 21st! And if that wasn't exciting enough, it has a new cover too!
BLURB:
Companion to “Shadows Stir” from Dreams of the Oasis IV anthology and Beyond Shadows
Dovina Horne has arrived in Sleepy Hollow to study the legend of the horseman. She believes it’s only a myth until she’s threatened by a horse and rider while walking on a deserted trail in the woods. Only the sudden appearance of a warrior saves her from the horseman’s sword. She feels an instant connection, both sexual and emotional, to this protective stranger.
An immortal warrior of the Shadow Realm, Hadeon’s mission is to protect Dovina at all costs. He knows the horseman is not what he seems, but something more powerful and sinister in disguise. The longer Hadeon spends with Dovina, the more he wants her. He finds his way into her bed and her heart, but their relationship is doomed. He is an immortal from the shadows and she is a human filled with light. But when the final battle comes, they must use all that is between them if they hope to survive.

Thank you and an update

Thank you to all of you for your well wishes and good thoughts. Surgery went well, but I've had a few minor complications and am still resting my eye. Never thought I'd be tired of napping. *g*
Hope my eye will be back to normal by sometime this week. :)
