Welcome Monday

Good morning and welcome to Monday!
I know a lot of folks aren't particularly fond of Mondays, but I love them. Everything is fresh and new on Monday. It's the beginning of the week, the start of something new. Anything can happen. I always feel hopeful on Monday, like I can really do something special and set the tone for the entire week.
Don't get me wrong, I love the weekend, but I think every day is special, including the dreaded Monday.
So I hope you all have a fabulous day.

Book of the Week--The Proposition by Jennifer Lyon
I've read a bunch of books lately, most of them good reads, but nothing that really stood out until I read THE PROPOSITION by Jennifer Lyon. This is the first book in The Plus One Chronicles and the story of Sloane and Kat will continue in POSSESSION and OBSESSION.
Now, these books have to be read in order. The story is a serial, starting with The Proposition and continuing on from there. I've only read the first book yet, but am looking forward to the others. Richly drawn, complex characters make this book worth the read.
I picked this book up because I'm a big fan of Jennifer Lyon's Wing Slayer series, which I hope will continue. This is a short read, but it doesn't disappoint.
BLURB:
Rich, sexy and volatile, Sloane Michaels has a dark agenda that keeps his heart on ice. His extreme wealth gives him the control he craves and his skills as an ex UFC fighter the tools he’ll need to extract his ultimate revenge. But when the woman he never believed he’d see again crosses his path, Sloane is caught between the vengeance he needs and a sexual conquest he craves.
Kat Thayne has been in survival mode for six years, hiding behind the sweet creations for her bakery. But when a random carjacking brings her face-to-face with her darkest fears and hottest fantasy, Kat is forced out of hiding and offered a dangerously passionate proposition. One she knows she isn’t strong enough to refuse.

Tuesday Teaser: Seeking Charlotte
Seeking Charlotte is a smokin' hot paranormal novella, which is part of the Hearts of Fire series.
TEASER:
Charlotte turned back toward the dark-haired stranger. “Please help me.
If anything, his expression grew even more forbidding. A muscle in his jaw worked and she suspected he was grinding his back teeth together. A wave of annoyance rolled off him. He was going to say no. Going to dismiss her.
She couldn’t let that happen.
The pendant around her neck was so hot she was surprised there wasn’t a wisp of smoke rising from her sweater. At the very least there should be a scorch mark. He started to turn away from her and, for the first time in her life, Charlotte did something totally outrageous and completely out of character. Grabbing his shoulders, she went up on her toes and kissed him.

Tons of Writing News

Hubby left yesterday and will be out of town for a week so I'm home alone!
Got up at 5 am to see him off in a cab to the airport. Tried to go back to sleep. When that didn't work I got up and finished the Print Galley Proof for Mark of the Bear, which will be out in PRINT next April 1st. I also submitted a new Quickie to my Ellora's Cave editor and the first book in a new paranormal series to my Samhain editor. (I was going to wait to submit it until I had book 2 written in case I wanted to change some plot points but decided to just go ahead and send it.) Now the waiting begins.
Oh, and I just signed a contract for Craig's Heart, book 7 in the Legacy series. No release date yet. And I will have a new ménage a trois/western novella coming from Ellora's Cave soon.
Now back to work on my WIP...

Tuesday Teaser: Amethyst Dreams
AMETHYST DREAMS is the sequel to Amethyst Moon but can be read as a stand alone novel. If you love steamy ménage a trois stories then this one is for you!
And if you haven't read AMETHYST MOON, you can buy this ménage a trois novella from Ellora's Cave for only $0.99.
TEASER:
“You should go before it’s too late.” His fingers tightened around her bottom as he uttered the warning.
She leaned closer, brushing soft kisses across his jaw. “I think it’s already too late.” She didn’t want to leave. Not now.
“It’s not too late for me, is it?”
She whirled around at the sound of another male voice. Rorik wrapped his forearm around her stomach, keeping her close. The newcomer was tall, not as tall as Rorik, but he was still larger than her. His hair was a little longer than Rorik’s, but it was a dark brown instead of black. He wasn’t quite as broad as Rorik, but was certainly an impressive specimen of manhood. If she hadn’t met Rorik first, she would definitely have been attracted to him. Was attracted to him.
“So it has begun.” Rorik’s whispered words sent a shiver down her spine and not a good one. He didn’t sound happy about this.
