Anna over at Book Lovin' Mamas has given MARK OF THE BEARa 5 Moon review.
Here's a snippet of what she has to say:
"NJ, seriously!?! It had to end like that? :( I am so dying for the next book to be out now!!! This was another great read! This series is quickly turning into a favorite for me. It's unique and interesting...If you enjoy a fast paced romance with hunky shifters, kick ass heroines and creepy but entertaining villains, this series is for you!"

Tuesday Teaser: Bakra Bride
This week the Tuesday Teaser comes from BAKRA BRIDE, which is part of the Tapestries series.
TEASER:
Bracing his arms on either side of her head, he threw one muscled thigh over her legs, caging her easily. The only thing to do was brazen it out. “Listen mister. I don’t know who you are or what’s going on, but you’d better get off me.” She was pleased that she sounded so tough and decisive. That was more like her.
Except, he didn’t look impressed at all. Instead, he looked quite amused. He wasn’t smiling, but there was a distinct twinkle in his blue eyes. “I am Zaren of the House of Bakra and you are on my land.”
“Well, you’ll have to excuse me. I have no idea exactly where I am or how I got here or where exactly here is.” She knew she was starting to babble, so she took a deep breath. Calm. It was important to remain calm. Although that seemed an impossible task with a gorgeous giant looming over her. The heat coming off his large body was amazing and she had to fight her inclination to just lean into it and absorb it. The man was a living, breathing female fantasy.

Victoria Day Weekend
It's the Victoria Day weekend here in Canada, more commonly known as the May 24th weekend even though it rarely falls on that date. It's the unofficial kickoff to summer here, which is why it's about 38 degrees with rain and fog here this morning. But I'm not complaining. Some areas are getting some snow.
Happy Victoria Day to all my Canadian friends!

Excitement last night

Plenty of excitement at our place last night. Fire trucks started rolling in just after 10:30. (Two fire trucks, two ladder trucks, two emergency vehicles, police and the power company truck.) There's been a lot of false alarms over the years we've lived here, but this one was real. There was a fire at the building across from us.

They had a ton of equipment and I could actually see the lobby of the building was filled with smoke. Thankfully, it must have been a small fire and they got it under control quickly. Yay to the fire department!
When we went to bed around midnight, the last of the trucks was leaving, although there were still police around. Not sure when, or if, the poor folks who live in that building got back inside.
The only plus was there was no ambulance, which means no one was hurt. Scary stuff.
