Introducing Author, Maya DeLeina!
Maya DeLeina was born and raised on the beautiful and romantic beaches of Oahu, Hawaii. Relocating to Colorado, Maya's crystal blue oceans and powdery white sands were traded for enchanting forests, mystic mountains and golden plains of promise.Living just on the outskirts of Manitou Springs, the town's history of spiritual healing, eclectic flare, fabled underground tunnels and rumored lore of wizardry and witchcraft rekindled Maya's love for the paranormal, metaphysical and most of all, vampires. One bite and she was hooked. With a hint of incense lofting in the air and the majestic Pikes Peak sitting in picture perfect view from her windows, Maya can be found relaxing in the recesses of her comfy couch, sinking her teeth into crafting and weaving seducing and erotic tales of vampires that may or may not roam her beloved town. One read and you'll be hooked!Maya is published with Siren Publishing and Evernight Publishingwww.mayadeleina.netwww.youtube.com/user/mayadeleinawww.facebook.com/maya.deleina
Noel Tierney thought she’d have enough time before the predicted storm to make it to her holiday retreat, but the snow hit sooner than expected. Caught unprepared on a treacherous pass, poor visibility and icy conditions lead to a crash. She lay immobile in her vehicle, stranded in a ditch in the most remote leg of her journey.
A faceless hero comes to her rescue and Noel has no choice but to wait out the blizzard in her rescuer’s unique cabin nestled in the woods. Everything about Grayson James peaks her curiosity—his valor, air of mystery and most of all, undeniable attractiveness.
For three days and nights, passions are unleashed and unexpected emotions are brought to life. When the storm breaks, Grayson vanishes into thin air, but not before revealing startling news that leaves her questioning her sanity.
Fast forward years later and Noel is in the southernmost part of the United States. She’d come seeking solace after her husband’s tragic death, but what finds her in Key West is more than she ever anticipated.
In the sultry summer, her unbridled winter’s ecstasy resurrects.
And so does the Vampire.

An Interview with Author, Stephann Ibrahim
An Interview with Author, Stephann Ibrahim
Where are you from?
I was born in St. George’s Grenada, in the Caribbean. However, I grew up in Frederick, Maryland
When did you start writing?
I started writing at about the age of five. I began to keep journals in composition notebooks after an elementary school teacher gave me a notebook. Since then I haven’t stopped!
What is your favorite part about writing? My favorite part about writing is having the ability to express myself and create a world through words.
What have you learned from writing your books?
That it’s not as easy as I thought it would be, getting all of your thoughts and ideas or a story plot into one book can be tough. Sometimes I get new ideas and I’m more than halfway through writing a book so I have to find a way to insert that idea. But the main thing I’ve learned is that sometimes a story evolves into more than you initially imagined and you just have to roll with the inspiration that comes your way.
How long does it usually take for you to complete a novel?
It takes me about a month, sometimes a few weeks if I dedicate all of my time to it. I originally wrote the first chapter of Hearts of Larceny years ago but it wasn't until last February I decided to start where I left off and complete it. It took me about three weeks to write. However with my upcoming novels there’s a longer time frame because the word count will be larger.
What was the inspiration for your book, Hearts of Larceny?
My main inspiration for this book came from the main character I created, Jordan Thatcher; the rest came from my obsession with the Investigative Discovery Channel. I love watching shows that have a good scandalous mystery and I thought since I love mysteries so much why not write one? I developed the characters based on people I have encountered in real life and Jordan is based off of a combination a different women. She ultimately the woman that every female loves to hate and I based the majority of the book off of that idea.
Are you working on any projects right now? Can you share a snippet with us? I am currently working on Part 2 of Hearts of Larceny as well as another book, Diary of a Femme Fatale. I’m creating a series called The SIN Series and Hearts of Larceny is the debut book for that series. Here’s a small snippet for Diary of a Femme Fatale: June 1 The blistering sun covered my forehead as my auburn eyes hid behind the shades of my over-sized sunglasses. I could feel it already; this summer was going to be a scorcher. After taking a much needed sip from my water bottle, I picked up the shovel that lay next to my right foot and began to dig. The hole was not yet large enough, at least not large enough to fit a body…
If you could choose any actress to play the main character in Hearts of Larceny, who would you choose?
I would choose Michelle Trachtenberg, because she is great at playing a mentally unstable bad girl. The main character, Jordan Thatcher, has bad girl written all over her.
Do you have any advice for other authors?
If you have an idea for a story just start writing it down even if you think it’s silly. It’s a great way to brainstorm. Sometimes the lack of inspiration can get frustrating, but once you get it hold on to it and see where it takes you.
Is there anything that you want to say to your readers?
The main that I want to say to readers is that I hope that they get the same experience I get from reading. As a child I loved to read because reading took me to another world. Being able to give someone else that experience is the reason I wanted to become an author.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I hope to be an established author with a large reading base. Ideally I would have wanted to become better at my craft by then. Call it dreaming big but in ten years I can see myself on a best seller list if I work hard enough for it.

Vampire Books For Blood **Charity Feature & Book Blast**
Author Scott Burtness is supporting the American Red Cross North Central Blood Services by declaring October “Vampire Books for Blood Month.”
Authors are encouraged to post on the FB page and pledge to donate up to 100% of their Oct. net royalties to the Red Cross.
Blood products are a perishable products and the need is constant to help prevent a shortage and ensure an adequate blood supply for patients. Red blood cells have a shelf life of only 42 days and platelets just five days, so they must be replenished constantly – there is no substitute. On average, must collect 15,000 blood donations every day for patients at about 2,700 hospital and transfusion centers across the country.
He will donate 100% of his net royalties from October sales of “Wisconsin Vamp” to the Red Cross North Central Blood Services. This donation will help support their blood drives, meet supply needs, deliver blood 24/7, and stay at the top in blood testing in research. Blood and platelets are needed for many different reasons. Accident and burn victims, heart surgery patients, organ transplant patients, and those receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer or sickle cell disease may all need blood.
He is also challenging other vampire and horror book authors to do the same, and support their local chapter of the American Red Cross.

A Quick Fire Q&A with Author, Kirstin Pulioff!
Q. Coffee of tea?A. Coffee
Q. What historical figure would you like to meet?
A. Jesus
Q. If you woke up in an abandoned castle, what would you do?A. Oooohhhh… first I would try on any abandoned princess dresses (I can dream right?) and then tour every room, check out the view from the towers, and enjoy the gardens.
Q. What is your favorite dish to cook? Or order in a restaurant?A. To cook… well, I’ll be honest. I’m not a big fan of cooking. I do it to prepare healthy food for the family, but it’s not ‘a joy.’ Favorite food to eat out… Dessert
Q. Which actor would play your favorite character from your books?A. Oh… I love dream casts. If I were to cast for my upcoming YA release, Dreamscape: Saving Alex, I would cast Jennifer Lawrence as my main character, Alexis Stone.

Veodue's Fire **Book Blast & Exclusive Excerpt**
We've had the pleasure of meeting author, A.J. Adwen. And now she returns to our blog during her tour of The Rain Trilogy. I'd like to present to you all, Veodue's Fire, an intense romantic/fantasy.
Enjoy.
Veodue's Fire Blurb:
The blackness of night consumed her, but she always thought it would lift. Time does not heal all wounds. Freedom is not hers to claim. And as the months pass, she realizes she no longer wants the light at all.
The keys to her future have been seized from Lucian’s hands. The power is hers now, and it is clear that she might be the only person who can bring Veodue out of ruin. In a battle against her own flesh and blood, innocent lives weigh in the balance of her choices.
Was the Pool’s prophecy true? Will she be able to rise above the person she has become to accept what might be her only fate?
This story of betrayal, love and redemption continues in the next chapter of Raenah’s journey.
Veodue's Fire Excerpt:
My teeth grind together. “Everything you did was for you, Lucian.”
“Is that really what you think?”
“How could I not?” I stare at him in disgust. “Do youhonestly think deceiving me about Gavin was for me?”
“No,” he says. He inhales sharply. “Not at first. At first itwas because I wanted revenge against Roth. But then . . . things changed. We ch—” he fumbles with his words, something I’ve never seen him do before. “You changed me.”
I look away, unwilling to participate in this nonsense. Hetakes my shoulders between his hands and his touch burns into my skin in a way that makes my throat close. “Take your hands off of me,” I say, strangled. I’m furious at the way my voice trembles; I’m furious that he drags me from my numb place without even trying.
“I was willing to sacrifice my life for you. I lost myabilities for you. Doesn’t that mean anything? Doesn’t that prove anything?”
“It proves nothing. I loved Gavin and you ruined anything Icould have had with him.”
“You didn’t love him, Raenah. Don’t pretend you did,” he saysflatly, releasing me. “How is what I did any worse than the fact that he lied to you for sixteen years?”
“He was trying to protect me!”
“So was I!” he says harshly. “The difference is that I wastrying to protect you from danger, not from yourself. And certainly not because I couldn’t handle what you were becoming.”
I look at him again, unable to stop my hand from whippingtoward his face. He catches it midair and his nostrils flare with anexasperated sigh. “So what, then, makes you hate me so much?”
I’m not angry that he still holds my wrist against my will;I’m angry that I don’t have an answer for him. I’m angry that I don’t know. But above all, I loathe the tears that are flooding my eyes. “Let go, Lucian.”
“Miss?” Daryel says from behind the door. “Your bath awaitsyou.”
“Thank you,” I manage as Lucian’s grip loosens enough for meto reclaim my arm. I begin toward the door and pause before opening it. “Our union was formed on a foundation of deception,” I say quietly. “I would never have loved you had I not left Gavin behind and partook in the evils you introduced me to. I may have changed you, Lucian . . .” I look at him from thecorner of my eye. “But you changed me for the worse.”

Allison was born and raised in the mountains of Oregon, birthed of the crisp, clean air and rainy forests. She now resides in Oklahoma City, though she is still thoroughly attached to her home and finds much inspiration for her stories whenever she has a chance to return. As the spouse of a police officer and a full-time photographer, she is on her toes 24/7.
In 2013, she was a recipient of the Oklahoma Next Generation award: an award given to thirty individuals under the age of thirty in the state who have proven to be innovative and inspiring leaders in the arts, entertainment, business, media, and other areas of impact.
Often told that she has her head in the clouds, she couldn’t deny it even if she wanted to. Allison began dreaming up stories long before she was old enough to write them. She enjoys a variety of genres, including YA, romance, historical romance, fantasy, dystopian, and anything else that hooks her interest. She prefers to write books that tell gripping love stories in heart-wrenching, real, inspiring ways.
Her stories are deep and raw, taking the reader into a world that is richly intricate. Readers often say that they are swept away and left reeling when they have finished the last page.
Allison loves to interact with her readers, and she does her best to respond to every email she receives. To learn more about her, visit her Facebook page and follow along on her writing journey!
