This January will mark 10 years that @sarahlinden and I have been professional wedding photographers. 10 years spent chasing the light all over the planet, being with people on such special days. 10 years of meeting you, all of you, and helping you see you like often didn’t see possible. 10 years. rock solid and unwavering,
the knowing to replace all I once called
the hoping.  
Belief that it all happens as it was meant to,
that you were always going to find me,
that I was making my way
to you.  

Point North and walk out into the shine,
walk up and around
and through but walk next to me,

and let all the rest fade to memory.

Simple words start a life, sparks to tinder,
hello becomes the match,
hi into dry wood and grass.
I am perfumed in the smoke
of the life I once lived,
you’re standing still,
half a continent from your
beginnings,

in your hands.

This day’s gonna crumble,
gonna erode into another,
will you be there, atop
all the rubble?

Hand in hand at the dawn
