Thoughts Expressed

“Thoughts expressed,” Devorah said, “become conditions experienced. To create a world that works for everyone and everything, express thoughts of gratitude, compassion, peace and abundance more often than thoughts of war, poverty, fear, blame and suffering.”

Process

Working with the power we call ‘God’ to become aware of the real loving ‘God’ already within, is a process involving every aspect of ourselves: spiritual, mental, emotional and physical; a slow process often with two steps forward and one back. So be patient, persist, kind, gentle and forgiving.

Oneness?

What if our experience of two gods is a mistake, just a mistake, not a sin, and we are not now, nor ever have been separate from the real loving ‘God’? What if right now we are one with the power we call ‘God’, invested with full spirituality, not when we die, but right now? We did not earn it, we cannot let it go. We can only work with it.

Which ‘God’?

Which do you want to accept and believe in? Most of us want to believe in the benign loving ‘God,’ but just can’t ‘cause something’s always coming up – at work, in the news, in our bodies. But what if the loving ‘God’ knows us as part of Itself and is always leaning into us nudging us towards Itself? What if this happens quietly, softly without the fanfare of Cecile B. DeMille movie? Only if we’re prepared and willing to experience this stillness and peace will we be able to receive it.

Which ‘God’?

The power we call ‘God’ can give us only what we can believe in and accept. If I believe in a benign and loving ‘God’, and also a rule-bound, demanding and punishing ‘God’ then my ‘God’ experiences swing wildly between inspiration, unconditional love, peace, creativity and joy, and fear, guilt, anxiety, blame, judgment, and sin (original & otherwise). Only one of these is the real ‘God’. Deep, deep down, which do you accept and believe in most?

Prayer

Prayer has no beginning and no end. It is part of life. It’s not an act of overcoming God’s reluctance, but an active acceptance of Its highest willingness. We receive as we believe because our strongest beliefs are prayers. What are you believing about politics, religion, God, the world, yourself, Life, your family and friends? Do you really want to pray for that? What would you prefer? Believe that, pray for that instead.
