2014 Begins

Another new year begins. I'm not too excited - just feels like another day. I sure am glad I won't be hungover tomorrow, that's for sure!

I really wish I could read more. I used to read 100 books a year, give or take. Now I'm down to less than a dozen.

Problem is I write too much. I put out 5 books in December and I'll probably put out at least 3 in January. What can I say? I like to stay busy.

But how do those books staring at me from the shelf think? They probably feel sad that I've neglected them so. After all, Mistborn has been on my Goodreads 'currently reading' list since July!

Boy, Greg, you need to get cracking!

FaceBook Ads Today

I'm doing an ad campaign for my epic fantasy book, The Hirelings.

https://www.facebook.com/TheHirelings

I'd really appreciate it if anyone could like this page, or tell someone that likes fantasy novels.

This novel is rather unconventional in that it's quite humorous, but also dark. Take a look and see if it's your cup of tea!

Tracy Hickman's Problems

I love the first 3 Dragonlance novels.

I think I bought each of them twice, and I really should buy them again.

And that's why I just can't understand the problem Tracy Hickman is having.

See, he says his books are making him no money.

I find this hard to believe.

Perhaps you'll be the judge after you read this post.

Classic Fantasy for a New Generation

The Lord of the Rings is certainly my parents’ fantasy. I grew up with the D&D universe, however, and my favorite author was R.A. Salvatore.

I got started with The Crystal Shard, and I came across this awesome review and summation of the novel, which you can find below.

If you haven’t read this fantasy book I highly suggest you add it to your “to-read” list. Like the article below says, the book’s got 3 murders in the first 15 pages!

It keeps up that great pace but doesn’t sacrifice on character development or plot. I’ve read this book at least 3 times and know I will again. You should too!
