In HLV we see that both Holmes brothers have tendencies to not realize they adjust the door knocker to 221b and in MHR we see John turns to hard alcohol when dealing with something emotionally difficult. Siblings are alike in many ways, after all. So considering back in ASIP Sherlock was so adamantly against considering himself “on the same side” as Mycroft, what “side” do you think John is adamant to reject regarding his sister and where he belongs in reference to her? Sounds like confirmation that Benjamin Caron is indeed going to be the third director for s4 (x)(x)

Caron has recently finished shooting his block on The Crown and begins shooting on series 4 of Sherlock next week. He’s also soon to direct a live theatre broadcast of Romeo and Juliet in black and white.

Interesting that it says he starts next week though…

I think they start a few weeks before filming. Involved in recces and planning and such?
