I love this authors books so it breaks my heart to say this...this could have been just one book. Seriously, there was so much inner dialogue that I was skipping over some places and if I was truly honest - this was more of a 3.5 stars than a 4 star read. We could have fit all the drama, angst and whatever (whining) in one. Meyah....I just wanted to slap the crap out of her. I wanted to like her sooo bad, but I just couldn't after the first book...with all the daddy drama, Ham drama, his brother, his sister, and by the end...I was just done. I love this world and that's why this is just so disheartening to me that something great turned out....like WTF? It worked out in the end but by the end - I was about to go "Enough!" Of course, read if you've read the whole series or the first book or you'll be lost.

This is part of the Reapers MC world and is a good addition, but I'm glad it was a Novella because I don't think it would have been good as a full-length book. There wasn't really a whole lot of the usual action in this that I'm used to with a Joanna Wylde book and it left me feeling just blah about the whole storyline. This was a short and hot read that is part of The Vault series. If you've been reading the anthology series then this is a part of that world. The plot was okay for me, but again with short books you really don't get the "meat" of the story.

This book was the absolute bomb!! I mean, it was the first book I have ever read by this author and then I read EVERY single book by her!!  It was awesome and I enjoyed every minute of it.  It was dangerous, had backstabbing, serial killers, psychopaths, sociopaths - did I say killing?  Because it did and lots of it.  It's not for the faint of heart.  As a matter of fact, my mother almost puked trying to read it...me I just soaked it up - kind of like a Psycho.  I thought I knew who it was in the beginning and I'm not giving any SPOILERS away, but I didn't.  I raved to my best friend that this was the best book of the year and I couldn't wait for the next one.  I wanted more Connor, Dominic, Bratva, Cosa Nostra...I wanted it ALL.  I probably should have started at the beginning but I didn't.  I didn't care, I was invested and fell in love with Psychopath and wanted to be his prey.  Could you love someone who killed people, but those people were evil?  Ask yourself that question and then read this book.
