Want! – day 6

Here’s the truth: people who get what they want tend to be the ones who make the effort to know what they want.543864_10151396587383034_1871443200_n

What do you really want in life?

This image belongs to Karen Marie Moning an author who is my idol. It’s so true, I wanted to share it with you all.  Thanks Karen!

Karma – day 5

Even if things aren’t working out the way you’d like at the moment, the law of karma says that the positive effort you make now will inevitably come to fruition.3d4

Are you making a positive effort in whatever you’re doing?

Say Yes – day 4

When you are joyful, when you say yes to life and have fun and project positivity all around you, you become a sun in the center of every constellation, and people want to be near you.fly

How do you present yourself to the world?

I’ll post my results to keep myself accountable. I have to say today was a wash. Family was in from out of town and the day and night got away from me. At least I managed a measly 320 words. They leave late Sunday so hopefully I’ll do a bit better tomorrow.

Believe in yourself – day 2

Writing every day can be a powerful action, a gesture of belief in one’s own imagination.lulu

Motivation Smotivation

motivationThat sound you just heard was me heaving a big ole sigh… I don’t know about the rest of you but it’s been a rainy week and my motivation just isn’t there. We need the rain so I’m not complaining but I’d like a little sunshine. I love sitting outside on the deck in the sun working. Maybe it’s because I published my first book and this is a normal lull. But I know I got sidetracked with  my writing and then some personal stuff came up and now I haven’t written a word in two weeks – uh oh.

Pulls up big girl panties

I don’t know about the rest of you but public shame, ahem, accountability helps motivate me. I’m competitive so I like seeing how my word count stacks up against others – in a friendly way  – grins

What do you do to regain your motivation?

I’ll be posting my progress so check in with me to share your words of encouragement and/or tough love.

Cheers!

Tropical Blast

I made a delicious Wicked Green Smoothie this morning that I had to share. It was so tasty and immediately made me think of the tropics! You won’t even taste the greens and your body will thank you. Go on try it! OK, if you’re afraid, leave the greens out – grins.

Tropical Blastphoto

1 c. OJ (or cut 1/2 cup with water if you don’t want it sweet)

Oikos Greek Yogurt Coconut Vanilla – single serve container coconut-vanilla-greek-yogurt

2 Tbsp chia seeds – if you’re a beginner you can omit or just 1 tbsp. Using 2 tbsp. will keep you full until lunch or dinner

1 c. pineapple (fresh, frozen or in it’s own juice)

2 big handfuls collard greens torn to pieces (if you’re new, only add maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of a collard leaf) These are also great to use frozen if you like a thicker smoothie.

Blend well and imagine yourself on a beach somewhere! What are your favorite spring/summer flavors? If you like smoothies, head on over to Wicked Green Smoothies and you can read all my musings on smoothies and healthy living – thanks!

Lost in Shadow, A Shadow Walkers Novel (#1) Add the book to your shelf at Goodreads.

Lost in Shadow is the first book in the Shadow Walkers series. Meet the ghostly warriors. All are cursed…

We were wrong…ghosts are frighteningly real.

For centuries a war has been raging between light and shadow. Shadow Walker pitted against Day Walker, threatening to plunge the world into darkness. Colin, an ancient warrior who lost hope long ago, prowls the streets of Edinburgh, eviscerating those who prey on humanity.

Emily possesses the ability to see beyond our realm into the dangerous realms of Light and Shadow. Unwittingly drawn into the shadows when she intervenes to help Colin, igniting his long-buried desires, she unleashes a terrible curse. Now with a week to break the curse, time is running out as they are locked in a deadly fight with forces that will stop at nothing to destroy them before they succeed.

Intensely romantic and thrilling, Lost in Shadow portrays the struggle between redemption and retribution.

2Fans of J.R. Ward, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Karen Marie Moning, and Charlaine Harris will enjoy the Shadow Walkers Series.

I love to hear from my fans!

P.S. The audiobook version should be available in June!
