Erin Schulte collects positive messages from strangers to inspire the homeless

Erin Schulte from Delta, British Columbia, collects thousands of holiday greeting cards. Oh, but this is not for some fun hobby. She has a very compassionate motive behind this.

Via her Christmas Card Collective, Erin Schulte collects cards filled with positive messages from across the world for the homeless.

Around Christmas time, Erin basically turns into an angel, looking to spread love to the homeless across North America. She aims to collect these cards filled with positive vibes and place it on the pillows of homeless shelter beds, reminding those staying there that they are loved.

When an Arcade went the Extra Mile for an Autistic Child

Dave and Buster's is an American restaurant and entertainment franchise that offers its customers a dine-in restaurant service alongside a fully lit-up video arcade for kids (and adults?) to enjoy. As of March 2019, they have 125 centers across America and Canada.

I want to talk to you about one specifically - Dave and Busters at Braintree, Massachusetts.

When the mother of an autistic child asked for help choosing the best time for her child to pop in, Dave and Busters arcade center did one better

Stephanie Saad has a 4 year old son, Jordan, who is non-verbal and autistic. One of the few things that excite him is playing video games. St...

Scott Chafian's 20th wedding anniversary gift is hard to top

There are wedding anniversary gift goals and then there are wedding anniversary gift goals. And in 2017, Cindy received the best 20th wedding anniversary gift she could have ever hoped for.

Cindy Chafian of Suffolk, Virginia had been suffering for years from a genetic disorder called polycystic kidney disease which causes cysts to grow and damage her kidneys. Though diagnosed at 22, the true deterioration began at the age of 38. Her left kidney had already been removed earlier but unfortunatel...

Newlyweds gift money to wedding guests... to buy toys for needy children

Immediately after Brad and Jessica Bond got married, they did something that they had first done together on their first date years ago... they went and bought toys.

A tradition in Brad's family, he used to participate in the Toys for Tots program, run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve that distributes toys to children who cannot afford them.

What made it extra special on this wedding day was that the Florida couple also went ahead and gave every one of their wedding guests a gift card...

When Romantic Firefighters Saved a Wedding #AtoZChallenge

24 hours before she was to get married, 23 year old Camille Bethea was having the worst day of her life. A horrible snowstorm had engulfed the area, caving in the roof of her wedding venue. A second venue too had to cancel because the snow had blocked their parking lot. To make matters worse, the pastor who was supposed to officiate the marriage called to cancel.

Some would consider it an ill-omen from an angry God. But not the Arlington County Fire station.

With time running out, no venue to g...

The lone breadwinner of her family after her husband had died of a heart attack two years ago, the widowed sweeper of Nirmala Hospital in Calicut, Kerala was struggling to pay for basic amenities while caring for her two growing children.

There was a pending loan of Rs 1.25 lakh even though the bank had waived off the interest, seeing her pitiable condition. With friends and family unable to assist much, the woman was struggling as the deadline from the bank to attach and take over her propert...

Heroes of Kindness - 2019 Edition

The world is not a bad place. I said this four years ago when I wrote an article for the first time showcasing the kindness of normal human beings across the world. That article had 50 different stories of compassion within it.

It is easy to be demoralized when you see so much negativity around in the news and barely a line or two of positive news hidden between the pages. But believe me, there are plenty of kind souls across the world doing good deeds in times of need every single day. I know...

A Dish I did not Expect to Like #WordlessWednesday

As a Malayalee from God's own microwave country Kerala, I am used to my seafood being fried properly (overdone?), be it fish eggs, fish fry crab, squid and prawns. Heck, even my first memory of my own life is of me stealing a bowl of fried prawns!

So, trying sushi was something I was really apprehensive about. The concept of being served a dish that had seafood that was not cooked was literally the opposite of how life had thought me seafood was meant to be prepared.

 Luckil...
