Tea Trivia - Green vs Black Tea #SuperBloggerChallenge

Beyond the Myths: Life After Leprosy #LeprosyFreeMinds

In the 1959 Hollywood epic Ben Hur, the final act found the titular character seeking out his family and breaking down after realizing that his mother and sister had been banished away from society and isolated after contracting leprosy. It is a heart-breaking moment that accurately depicts the mindset towards the dreaded disease over 2000 years ago.

The problem is, even today, that mindset has not changed even though we have achieved so much in our fight against leprosy.

The 11 year old who risked his life to save a drowning man twice his size #watwb

There were at least nine men at the indoor pool of the apartment complex in suburban St Paul, Minnesota as the 34 year old man sunk eight feet down to the bottom, unable to swim.
Unfortunately, none of them knew how to swim and the one man, Raghu Nandikotkur, who jumped in with a floating tube was not able to grab the drowning man.

That was when his son, Advaik Nandikotkur, urged by his mother, jumped in. All of 11 years and 36 kilos, the fifth grader swam down to the bottom, grabbed the man (w...

So we got robbed recently. I guess 'recently' is the wrong word since we were being robbed at home for over 6 months without realizing it.

To put it in a nutshell, we lost a lot. Like 'millions' lot.

I could sit and whine about the pathetic state of the world, the country et al but I figured I would be doing us all a favour with a little less whining and a lot more introspection.

So here are my 10 precautions to take to avoid getting robbed by the domestic help... from a family who was robbed by...

The 18 year old who Drove 720 kms to Deliver a Pizza for a Special Cause #WATWB

Tragedy struck the Morgan family when husband Rich was diagnosed with an incurable cancer with very few days left to live.

The 18 year old who Personally Drove 720 kms to Deliver a Pizza for a Special Cause #WATWB

As wife Julie and Rich reminisced about their younger days, they fondly remembered a pizza shop, Steve's Pizza in Battle Creek, Michigan where they used to have dinner over 25 years ago when they lived there. The couple were in fact planning to visit Steve's pizza again after all these years when they were hit with the diagnosis of cancer.

“We were young and money was tight...

COLS - How Indian Anaesthesiologists are Educating Citizens to 'Restart a Heart'

For decades, doctors across the world have been creating and regularly updating step-by-step algorithms on how to save a life of someone who has collapsed. This matters because providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in the early stages of a cardiac arrest can actually save the life of a person who has no apparent heartbeat.

We doctors study these guidelines diligently and become certified providers of Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by passing exams.

But...
