Can’t wait for Russell Brand’s new Trickster Tales series
When I found out Russell Brand was working on a series of children’s books, I was immediately intrigued. First off, he’s absolutely hilarious, and secondly, he’s been mischievously rocking the boat lately with his “Robin Hood rhetoric” in the most charming way. So naming his new series, Trickster Tales, is fitting, since Brand is something of a trickster himself. I have no doubt his interpretation of classic fairy tale stories will be peppered with deeper meanings.
Here’s a great excerpt from Brand’s story, The Pied Piper of Hamelin:
“The clock made its sixth chime. ‘Now it’s six,’ said the glint-eyed piper. A rat that was eating his discarded ham sandwich looked up, fearfully. All the rats paused. The piper silently drew in a long breath through his long nose. The glint-eyed piper knew that each breath we take is borrowed. The glint-eyed piper knew that all things are connected, the clouds, the people, the rats, the pipe, the music. All things are connected by invisible threads. The people of the town didn’t know that, for they only cared about things they could see and eat and get prizes for.”
I’m also excited Brand has teamed up with illustrator, Chris Riddell. I’ve been a fan of Riddell’s work ever since I first read The Edge Chronicles by Paul Stewart to my son. Riddell’s illustrations brought Stewart’s world to life, especially the banderbear. Oh how my son and I cried when the banderbear sacrificed himself to the wig-wigs to save Twig!

Ever wonder how Frank Underwood might fare in Game of Thrones?
If you’re a big fan of Game of Thrones like me, you love the creepy, mythical creatures of the North, as well as the wicked political intrigue constantly taking place throughout the seven kingdoms of Westeros. So it’s only natural that like me, you might also like the creepy creatures of Washington D.C. in House of Cards. But I gotta say, taking that sly fox, Frank Underwood out of his usual element and pitting him against the royal badasses in Game of Thrones was a stroke of hilarious genius. Even if you haven’t seen this video, I’m pretty sure you know who’s going to come out on top.

Wishing you lots of romance today!
There’s nothing like Valentine’s Day to make you feel romantic. And there’s nothing like a good love story to keep the romance going.
I don’t know about you, but I find the love stories where the boy and girl have to face impossible odds to be together are the ones I like the best. That’s certainly true for Fate and Finn. Fortunately, most of us don’t have to fight against dark, magical forces just to get a kiss. Dinner reservations and movie tickets are pretty much all that’s required.
I hope this Valentine’s Day finds you madly in love.

Meet the sexy Scot, Finn McKeen, from Fate’s Fables
Hey girls, I finally finished my Pinterest board for Finn and I’ve chosen the actor I think best suits him. I’d love to know if you agree or not. Leave a comment here on this blog post and tell me your pick.
Finn McKeen is exactly what Fate Floyd has always dreamed of. Right down to his dark gold hair, green eyes and Scottish accent. He’s intensely passionate, playful and deeply caring. His druidic upbringing gives him a profound connection to nature, but when he discovers something that makes him question his very existence, an insidious evil begins changing him in frightening ways. Will Finn lose the battle? You’ll have to read Fate’s Fables to find out.

What About The Pajamas? Catch another hilarious new episode of MILKIN’ IT!
Episode 3 of Milkin’ It went up today! In this new episode, Robin’s agent calls with an Oscar-worthy role. All Robin has to do is say yes, but only if he gives into certain demands.
This is my son’s web series, so I’d be eternally grateful for shares and tweets to help him get it out there.
Series summary: New comedy web series, which centers around plaid, pajama wearing actor, Robin Milkin, who’s decided the demanding work of acting gets in the way of sleepy time and video games. So he’s turned his messy bedroom and Mom’s garage into a studio for aspiring actors who’ve heard that taking lessons from the pricey, unorthodox Robin Milkin actually results in booking roles.
