It’s Alive!!! It’s Alive!!!

All right, maybe a little overdramatic, but I couldn’t help it. I’m excited. Today is the day Crimson Moon Hideaway: Muse Unleashed hits the digital shelves of Amazon. I know you’ve heard quite a bit about this story already, so I’m not going to tell you how fun, how great, how easy to read, how captivating, how mesmerizing, how… Okay, I won’t say any of that stuff. (But it is, just sayin’.) For many of you, Muse Unleashed hit your Kindles last night or this morning. For the rest of you, you sti...

Easter Eggs at Halloween

Confession time: Muse Unleashed has been the book I’ve struggled the hardest to write, and to be honest, I’m not even sure why. I had the concept, the cover, the characters; what I didn’t have was the idea. Or the inspiration toward one. Now, I could blame Covid, the passing of my mom, the constant trips back and forth to Alabama, but Muse Unleashedis my eighth book this year, so obviously, I’ve been able to write. However, for whatever reason, this one book has been just out of my reach, and it...

A Celebration of Life

Today, we’re traveling back to Alabama for a Celebration of Life for my mother, who passed away last month. It’s just another reason 2020 has totally sucked, but I can’t stop thinking of those words – Celebration of Life. They definitely sound better than funeral or memorial, which hold some depressing undertones. They bring to mind a party of things that have happened in our lives. It brings thoughts of laughter as stories are shared around a table or a fire, holding a drink in hand, and lettin...

It’s That Time of Year Again

If you’ve followed me for any length of time, then you know we’re entering my favorite time of year—the holiday season. October, November, and December are my favorite three months out of the twelve. I love the decorations, even the spooky ones, as well as the festivals and parties. There are exotic costumes, special music, and delicious food we don’t eat at any other time of the year. The focus of people’s minds tends to shift with less complaining and more giving of thanks and appreciation. It...

Introducing Crimson Moon Hideaway!

Have you heard? Black Hollow is moving out west!!! Well, not the entire town, or any of the characters, or the fantastic storylines, or…hmmmm….perhaps I should explain what I mean. You see, the authors of Black Hollow, a series many of you have come to love, have created their own paranormal vacation resort below Crescent City, California, deep in the redwoods between Damnation and Redemption Creek. You’ll get the same fantastic stories filled with folklore, mythology, and supernatural character...

Digging Into the Background of a Story

When I set out to write Blood Shadows, I knew I wanted something in Miles Lysander’s past to give him nightmares, something he regretted and which still caused him pain. Then I decided I also wanted it to be triggered by someone coming back into his life, bringing those nightmares back to the surface. That’s when I decided war was the biggest nightmare. Of course, Miles is a vampire, has been for centuries, so it couldn’t be a recent war. However, I also wanted the person who triggered Miles to ...

Mean Girls Need Love, Too

Im not sure why, but one of the themes in a couple of my series has to do with the relationship between sisters. I didnt really think about it until I finished To Be Cherished this year, but the Driscoll sisters as well as the Harper twins are stories where sisters either hate or love each other, one being the calm individual who just wants everyone to get along and enjoy their life, and the other who feels the worldand her familyowes her just because she was born. Complete opposites, but don...
