A.J. Gonzalez from CHASING FOREVER DOWN!
I decided to do this post today instead of yesterday. New Year is about saying goodbye to a year past and hello to a brand new one. Well when Haley meets the third "bodyguard" of Colby Taylor, that's kind of what happens with her BFF. Happy New Year everyone! :)
What can I say about A.J. Gonzalez? He's a bit of a wild boy who can't stay out of trouble. In all honesty, though, he'd be in trouble with Deputy "Jackass" Pittman anyway just because he inhaled differently. None of the starstuck fangirls of Colby Taylor's have ever gotten past A.J. They all run away after they see his crazy stunt on the Jet Ski. Haley is the first person (other than Reed) to actually get on the back of the bright yellow Jet Ski with him (and Reed still has the scar), and she's one of the first outsiders to actually give him a chance to be more than a crazy Mexican thug.
A.J. has so many layers to him it's unreal. He can be wild and crazy or the nicest, sincerest, friendliest person in the world. If you're real with him and treat him right, he'll do the same with you. It's just a matter of getting past the front he puts on to scare people away. While Linzi is off sucking face with Alston, Haley and A.J. become almost inseparable best friends. Don't get me wrong, Haley and Linzi still remain friends, but A.J. now holds the BFF portion of Haley's heart!
He's also Nikki's favorite character in CHASING FOREVER DOWN! Maybe he'll become your book boyfriend for 2014! So, go get your copy now!!!
After seventeen-year-old Haley Sullivan meets a mysterious stranger who plays by his own rules, she's more than determined to learn every trick of the trade from the master himself. But her dream-chasing mentor disappears after that night, and according to the local newspapers, he's been dead for years. Knowing he's very much alive, Haley enlists best friend Linzi to join her on a scavenger-hunt-style road trip that ultimately lands them in the surf town of Crescent Cove, California. Mystery guy is no mystery here, though – he's Colby Taylor, the west coast's biggest professional surfer.
If Haley wants to talk to the wave rider again, she'll have to get past his four intimidating "bodyguards" who are highly skilled in the business of sending starstruck fangirls back to where they belong. Haley is up for the challenge if it means chasing her dreams and escaping the perfectly corporate future that's been planned for her. But dealing with these bodyguards isn't exactly what Haley imagined it'd be. Sure, being thrown off a jet ski sucks, but falling in love with one of them might just be worse.

Alston Wright from CHASING FOREVER DOWN
Alston Wright is the second bodyguard of Colby Taylor. He's extremely hot, but he knows it too. He likes to party, is a major flirt, wears brightly colored swim trunks, and has a tattoo hidden under his shirt. Most people see him as a player because he flirts with so many different girls, but he can't help it! Having to keep a secret like Colby Taylor's means he can't let people in. No one can find out the truth from him, so he's not able to have a committed relationship. Fortunately for Alston, he gets to have somewhat of a real relationship with Haley's BFF Linzi while they search for Colby in the wonderfully beautiful town of Crescent Cove!
Find out more about Alston in CHASING FOREVER DOWN now! :)

Reed Strickland from CHASING FOREVER DOWN
You know those genuinely nice guys who you just can't help but love? That's Reed. He's cute, nice, and pretty dang smart. He works at his family's boating store, but he's also one of Colby Taylor's "bodyguards"! He's not very good at being a bodyguard, though. He's just too dang nice for the job, but he really is good to have around. I mean he does know all the Crescent Cove/Colby Taylor secrets, and he's just the guy to ask about them. If you guys haven't gotten a copy of CHASING FOREVER DOWN by Nikki Godwin yet, you should! Reed may just become one of your book boyfriends! ;)

Welcome To Crescent Cove!
Hey guys! Sorry I've been absent for the past three days. I was busy with holiday stuff Tuesday and Wednesday, and yesterday I went with my best friend to look at bridesmaids dresses (she's getting married in May), so I haven't had time to update!
Now on to more 40 days of Chasing Forever Down. Today I set our scene.
Crescent Cove is the beautiful beach town in Nikki's book. Imagine crescent moons, stars, and beautifulness everywhere you turn! There are sexy surfers walking down the road. The beach is shimmering like a jewel in the background, and you can hear the wave rolling in. As you walk down the strip, you can find anything you're looking for! There's booths selling shell jewelry, sun catchers, and if you look closely, you may stumble upon Emily the Enchanter's booth where she sells her dark, handmade, non-evil voodoo like dolls.
You'll want to stop by Strickland's Boating of course. (Ask for Reed. No, don't. He'll be working.) Anything water related can be found there! Jet skis, snorkeling kits, parasailing, yachts. Everything...except maybe surfboards.
If you're interested in purchasing a surfboard, make sure to stop by Drenaline Surf! You can also pick up super cute bikinis there. Well, just make sure you stop by there regardless!
In Crescent Cove you never know who or what you'll find! You may meet your very best friend or quite possibly a boyfriend! You may find a couple of Hooligans lurking around. If you're lucky, you may even find the dream you've been dying to chase.
So go buy a copy of CHASING FOREVER DOWN by Nikki Godwin! You'll enjoy every second you're in Crescent Cove!

You're Invited To Crescent Cove!
Hey guys! As most of you know, I blogged about my sister's book American Girl On Saturn for 31 days to give you guys some behind the scenes information about the book and little random facts about the characters before the book was released. Nikki's debut book Chasing Forever Down is going on tour on January 13th with Oops! I read A Book Again Blog Tours (if you guys haven't signed up for the tour, you seriously need to! This is not a book you want to miss out on!) Chasing Forever Down is my absolute favorite book ever (no, I am not just saying that because my sister wrote it. I am dead serious. #MilesGarrettForever!), and I decided that I wanted to give you guys a look into the book, characters, and Nikki's crazy mind! I welcome you guys to join me as I vacation for 40 days in the beautiful beach town of Crescent Cove!

Review for REAP by Christina Channelle
BOOK INFO Title: ReapAuthor: Christina ChannelleGenre: YA Paranormal RomancePublication Date: October 11, 2013 Christina Channelle is one of the few authors who I feel the need to buy every book she writes! Reap is a very quick, fun, suspenseful paranormal read. Reap was definitely a Five Star book to me! It’s absolutely perfect for today of all days to go buy a copy! REVIEW
I loved the main character. Despite not knowing who she is and the fact that she’s mute, Mia is a lively character who quickly finds her way into the hearts of Dante and his sister Amy (and me!) She’s thrown into a world where all the females keep disappearing and being murdered. Amy insists that they must keep her with them in their home where it’s safe. Amy’s roommates agree except for one. Briggs.Briggs is a very mysterious character. I didn’t know exactly how to feel about him during the first part of the story. I wanted to trust him, but there was something a little ominous about him and his dark looks behind his pair of sunglasses. I really liked his character in the end though when I understood his mysteriousness. And what can I say? I’ve always liked characters who have a dark edge to them.Amy is one of those characters who you just want to hang out with for a day. She’s quirky, cute and seems like she’d be a lot of fun. I loved her boldness when it came to trying to persuade James to be with her. She brought a lot of light to a dark story. I wanted to smother Dante in hugs. He was super sweet, caring, and swoon worthy. He was one of my favorite characters to discover this year! Christina has such an amazing voice and so much talent when it comes to writing. She is one of my favorite authors and she’s always been so sweet on Twitter! So go buy this amazing book and make sure to give her a follow on Twitter! J

Reap – Excerpt
I opened my eyes but had to squeeze them shut against the harsh lights. My lids felt swollen, heavy with fatigue. My eyes burned, tears leaking from their corners. It was the most uncomfortable of feelings.I must have been dreaming.“Hello?” Although the word seemed alien to me, almost as if I had never heard it before, I instantly understood its meaning. The voice that had spoken was warm, making me feel as if I were suddenly sitting in front of a fireplace, wrapped in a heavy blanket, flames crackling. The heat of the word practically licked my skin.Again, I tried opening my eyes, this time a bit more cautiously. Blinking, I slowly adjusted to the artificial lights, now able to see. I found myself staring back into a pair of bright blue eyes, a look of wariness in their depths. For a brief moment I couldn’t look away as I stared up at him. Then he cleared his throat and glanced away, as if uncomfortable with my gaze. With the spell of his eyes broken, it was then that I noticed I was lying on the ground—no, on hardwood floor. And with not one, but three interested faces peering down at me. I sat up, then winced at the abruptness of my movement, bringing my hand to the back of my head.Pain, my mind whispered.“Careful now.”I directed my eyes toward the person who had spoken such kind words. It was the first person I had noticed, the one with the blue eyes and the warm voice. His voice was deep and calming, and as I sat there I tried to think of the emotion I should be experiencing. Inhaling softly, I closed my eyes, ignored the painful throb in my head, and waited for the proper term to flutter into my mind.Gratitude.“Where did you come from?”Satisfied I had found the correct word, I opened my eyes again to the voice speaking to me. It was a pleasant voice, reassuring to say the least, and immediately captured my attention. At that moment, I didn’t notice the black hair atop his head, a striking contrast against his blue eyes that looked like I was staring into an ocean. I didn’t notice that the corners of his eyes crinkled up when he smiled kindly at me, complementing the single dimple in his right cheek. By just looking at him, anyone could tell that he was someone who knew how to laugh. But I didn’t notice any of that. All those things I would notice later.I stared at the corner of his lips as he continued to speak, not toward me, but to the others present in the room. “Guys … I don’t think she understands a word I’m saying,” he mumbled softly, as if afraid I’d be insulted at the notion of not comprehending him.“I like her,” stated the girl kneeling next to him. She looked quite outrageous wearing a short black dress with a black choker wrapped around her neck, pink shiny embezzlements adorning it. Her white-blonde hair was extremely long, almost past her lower back, as the ends brushed the floor. I directed my gaze to her face and found blue eyes staring down at me.Her eyes were identical to the man’s.“It’s always the silent ones we should be weary of.” The words themselves were harsh, but as I looked to my right I was greeted by a kind smile with equally kind brown eyes behind wire-framed glasses. They belonged to a man casually sitting on a couch, his shoulder-length dark brown hair tied back. As he continued to stare, he tilted his head to the side as if analyzing a computer software program that wouldn’t work properly.I guess I was the computer software program.“James, help me out, will you?” the man with the blue eyes asked calmly. The man on the couch, James, stood up and slowly sauntered over to my side, then both he and the blue-eyed man grabbed my arms and brought me to my feet. I didn’t protest, shuffling alongside them as we entered a kitchen, where they placed me on a wooden chair next to a table.Sinking down into the hard chair, I averted my eyes downwards and focused on a crack on the wooden table. I knew I was still being stared at, three pairs of eyes boring holes into the crown of my head.It was difficult not to look up but I managed. I needed a distraction, so I started to trace the crack on the table instead, feeling the texture of the wood as it scraped against my skin. I find wood to be … quite rough in manner. “Here you go.” That calming voice spoke once again and I looked up to find a glass of orange juice placed in front of me. It was in that instant that I realized that I was thirsty. I reached for the glass, instinctively bringing the rim to my lips. The juice was cool down my throat. Refreshing. This was familiar: the taste of juice in my mouth. Closing my eyes, I licked my lips slowly, trying to memorize this feeling. Perhaps if I stayed like this long enough, I would be brought back to that time of familiarity…. “Yo, Briggs!” James’ voice beamed through the kitchen and I startled, setting the glass on the table, the clanking of the glass hitting the wood almost palpable to my ears. I hadn’t noticed the front door had opened—I believe an apartment building was where we were located—and a new presence had entered the living room. I looked over to where he stood by the stairs, utterly still. Although we were indoors, he wore sunglasses. And even though I couldn’t see his eyes, I knew they stared directly at me, hard as stone. He didn’t like me.If the man with the blue eyes was warm like a fire on a cold winter day, this man was like the wood I had just caressed: rough, jagged.
Broken.
Title: ReapGenre: Young Adult Paranormal RomancePage Count: 92Blurb: Foreign, or rather unfamiliar, would be the word I would use to describe how I felt.
Faintly, I could hear the glimmer of voices surrounding me in this dark haze, caressing my ears like skin against silk. I felt like I was in a cocoon of sorts, protectively enveloped, quietly drifting in some far-off place. I wanted to stay that way forever.
But we all know that what you want never really seems to happen in the real world.
Something’s not right in Mia’s head.
The first thing is that her name isn’t Mia. In fact, she has no clue what her name is—who she is. All that she knows is that she’s not like the ones who found her: Dante with his kind blue eyes, Amy with her child-like demeanor, James with his questioning gaze.
And Briggs.
The one she cannot decipher no matter how hard she tries.
As Mia tries to fit in with these people, a strange occurrence is amidst outside. And as she finally remembers who she is …
Well, let’s just say that things get a little more complicated.

Interview with Spaceships Around Saturn's bodyguard Tank Rodriguez (from American Girl On Saturn)
Spaceships Around Saturn's head bodyguard Tank Rodriguez joins us today! :)
Hi! What is it like being the bodyguard for a super famous boyband?
It's cool. It's like just hanging out with the guys all the time. The girls are crazy, though. And loud.
You're not much older than the SAS boys themselves, are you? What made you decide to get into the business of being a bodyguard?
Not much. I'm only 24. I worked security in a night club in college, and then I got offered a bodyguard position for a rap star - who shall remain nameless - but that lifestyle was a bit much. A boyband seemed safer. HA! Joke's on me, right?
I know you're probably not allowed to answer this question, but which of the SAS boys is your favorite?
Ah, c'mon now. I can't answer that. They're my boys! But uh, if anyone's curious, Benji and I hit the clubs and tattoo parlors together a lot.
Do you ever rock out to their music?
Only during live shows, rehearsals, and when they feel the need to burst into song at random times/places. I tend to listen to more rap/hiphop.
How does being a bodyguard affect your personal life?
I don't have a lot of free time. When the guys are touring or doing promo events, I'm right there, tagging along. But it's cool. Like I said, it's like hanging with the guys all the time, and there are tons of hot girls. It's not a bad life. I wouldn't get to see all these places otherwise.
Were you anywhere near the stage when the shooting happened in NYC?
I was offstage, waiting in the wings. The venue's security were actually on the floor, maintaining the crowd. I was just chilling and watching the show then BOOM!
How closely were you watched while the boys were on lockdown?
Man, the government don't play! They guarded all of us (crew) pretty well so we wouldn't talk to the press or leak information, especially since we knew where the guys were. They always made me wear a wire when I saw the guys. We were pretty much on lockdown too. They had us holed up in a fancy hotel. It got pretty boring. I think the guys had more fun than I did!
I'm going to end this with a very random question. It seems like the one question that is in the majority of interviews and things is the one thing I never put in any of my interviews.... What's your favorite color?
Black! It looks good and matches everything!
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hear from sources that we'll be seeing a bit more of you in the world of Saturn! I can't wait! ;)
