Connecting Goodreads to Facebook
How strange!
I just tried to connect my Goodreads account into my Facebook page and ended up inviting lots of people to be my friends who are already my friends!
Sorry if you received an unexpected invitation.
I think that it is down to the fact that I use a slightly different e-address for my FB pages. That is to avoid unwanted intrusion.
Anyway, here I am. Same old me!

Successful promotion!
In the three days that
When Pleasure Blooms
was free on Amazon, there were 171 downloads. Plus there were two people who couldn't wait, and paid for a copy before the promotion started.
This success was way beyond my expectations. I thought that I might scrape into double figures, but the word must have spread. Thank you all for your help and participation.
I hope that a few reviews and ratings will follow. It doesn't take long to read five short stories, and only a few minutes to post your thoughts. Which story was your favourite, for instance? And it takes literally seconds to post your rating, even if you don't have time to review.

My 2014 Book Challenge
I have reduced my target for 2014 for two reasons.
The first is that I have so much going on in my personal life, that I have less time for reading than I would like. It is most stressful.
The second is that I would like to spend more time writing than reading this year. It is the only way that I will stand a chance of pushing out at least one of the two books that I intend to publish in 2014.

Writing progress - or not!
I am afraid that so much has been happening in my life recently, good and bad but you really don't want to hear it all, that I have had little time for writing.
I am still going to work at getting Eleven Miles published by the middle of this year, but that self-imposed deadline is becoming tougher to meet by the day.
My diabetes book will follow on after that. I really hope to get it finished this year.

I am absolutely delighted to be embarking on a new writing project!
I am even happier that I have introduced a very worthy charitable element to my new project. For more details, please take a look at my summary description of the new book: Eleven Miles.
