Mind, Body and Spirit – (Dharma Talk)
Christians believe that God is comprised of three entities – Father, Son and Holy Spirit
You are three distinct entities – Mind, Body, Spirit
In this lesson, Will helps you step aside and look at the trifold nature of your being. Learn to align your Mind, Body and Spirit for a greater connection with God.
This brings more happiness and inner peace.
Day 11 of the 21 Day Challenge
I’m on Day 11 going Complaint Free…AND in just 2 minutes I’m doing a LIVE national radio interview with Dr. Dan Gottlieb on WHYY in Philadelphia.
The interview will be broadcast nationally on many NPR stations. The time is 12 noon EDT, 11 AM CDT and 10 AM Pacific.

Day 9!
9 Days in a row without complaining. If I could give people one piece of advice when attempting to become Complaint Free it would be, “MAKE PEACE WITH DAY 1.” You’re going to be on Day 1 dozens or even hundreds of times before you reach 21 consecutive Days without complaining.

Day 8 of the 21 Day Complaint Free Challenge
I’m on Day 8 in my quest to go 21 consecutive days without complaining.
I want to make you aware of something BIG happening tomorrow and to invite you to participate.
Tomorrow and Sunday, May 3rd and 4th are Global Free Hug days. My friend Carol Miller began this to share hugs around the world and she has more than HALF a MILLION people from 6 continents and 60 countries participating.
JOIN IN! Fair Warning–If you come near me tomorrow, you’re going to get hugged!
There is still time to join the movement: http://bit.ly/hugsignup

Day 6!
I’m on Day 6.
Complaining is so habitual it’s like watching a bullet train go by. The complaints go through our minds at lightning speed and, for a while, we are incapable of stopping them from coming out of our mouths.
Becoming Complaint Free is allowing the railroad cars (the negative thoughts) to pass through our minds and not focus on them. Instead, focus on the space BETWEEN the cars which is the CALMNESS of our minds.
As you feel less inner conflict you will find yourself making fewer negative comments (complaints) about life.
What might you do today to de-stress and, as a result, complain less?

Day 4!
Day 4!
Remember, “Hurt people hurt people.”
People who are, themselves, hurting are far more likely to lash out at others. As we become more spiritually awake, we remember this and our compassion for others grows. We realize that their outbursts are not meant for us personally.
Well, an MRI reveals that I have a torn rotator cuff and a torn labrum–old injuries that were exacerbated by a fall while snow skiing.
So, until the surgery, I will be in constant pain. After the surgery, which the surgeon refers to as, “The most painful surgery I perform,” I’ll be in pain for quite a while. Additionally, I will have to stop working out–which is a great boost for happiness.
So, friends, I’m continuing the Complaint Free challenge committed to not complaining even while in pain.
How’s it going?

Day 3 of the 21 Day Challenge
I’m on Day 3 going 21 consecutive days without complaining.
If you want to test the theory that it takes 21 days to form a new habit try it in another area of your life. Here’s one I’m currently experiencing:
I fell skiing a couple of months ago finally severing a torn rotator cuff. As a result, it’s more comfortable if I sleep on the opposite side of the bed.
Marti and I switched sides, which means we exchanged bedside table drawers. For 2 weeks, I’ve gone to what WAS my side of the bed looking for my stuff. In about another week, the habit will be broken and I’ll remember which is my side.
What do you want to become a habit? Do it daily for 21 days until it takes you over.
Day 2

Remember—it’s NOT complaining if you speak DIRECTLY and ONLY to someone who can affect the change that you seek. Rather than complaining to someone ABOUT a problem, speak to someone who can FIX the problem.
It seems that many people spend some portion of their workdays complaining about their families and their problems at home. At night, they reverse the process and go home where they complain about work.
They never address the person(s) who can actually improve either situation. As a result, things don’t improve and their complaints continue because they feel even more justified in complaining.
Being Complaint Free isn’t about being a doormat. It’s about practicing healthy communication.
WHO do you need to summon the courage to TALK TO rather than COMPLAIN ABOUT
Back to Day 1 of the 21 Day Challenge
“Did I say that out loud?”
Have you ever thought something negative and then realized that you also SAID it? Well, I caught myself doing just that while checking in at the airport.
I’d been working 16-hour days on a short film about an entire middle school that is becoming Complaint Free. I’d been high on passion and enthusiasm for days but now I hit a wall. I was tired and hungry. As I stood at the counter, I found myself complaining aloud—to no one in particular, “I don’t like this person,” in reference to the clerk. FORTUNATELY, she didn’t hear me but it’s back to Day 1 for me.
Actually, the clerk was being helpful and somewhat playful—but my nerves were on edge.
Even when I’m tired or hungry, I’m responsible for what I say.
Complaining while working on a film about being Complaint Free—now THAT’S irony.

Day 6 of the 21 Day Challenge!
I’m on Day 6 (again) in my attempt to go 21 days without complaining.
CONGRATULATIONS to David Hogan who just completed 21 consecutive days Complaint Free. DAVID SAYS, “DAY 21 being Complaint Free – It took me 14 months to get there and being honest with myself was essential as I went back to day 1 many…many times. Thanks Will Bowen, for a great method of changing an entire outlook on life for the better.”
Great advice, David!
1. Stay with it as long as it takes
2. Be honest with yourself
3. Be willing to start over at Day 1 a lot
