Star of the Week: Dean Stockwell

Picture A toast to Dean Stockwell, our new Star of the Week! He's a doll at any age, and to see his range, you can read reviews of two Juvenile Rag-winning performances from Down to the Sea in Ships and The Boy with Green Hair, as well as a grown-up video clip from Married to the Mob. Enjoy and come back to his page every day for two new reviews!
For his television work, check out five seasons of Quantum Leap, three seasons of Battlestar Galactica, two seasons of The Tony Danza Show, three seasons of JAG, and one season of Street Gear.

Kick-Off for Fall

Bluestockings, bookworms, and bibliophiles (and any other nicknames you can think of) know what fall means. It's not Halloween, and it's not colder weather. It's time to curl up with our teacups, fireplaces, and stack of thrillers we've accumulated throughout the year.
To kick things off, check out Pretty Little Liars #2 and The Perfect Stranger. If you're not ready for scary books yet, try this autumn set school book, an interesting drama: Saving Miss Oliver's.

Indian Summer

There was a bit of warm weather where I was, so I checked out a few more beach reads from the library and tore through the last of the summer books until next year. Enjoy!

Books to close out the summer

More beach reads, at long last!  In case you're experiencing an "Indian Summer" in your region (just that phrase alone makes me want to pick up 'Peyton Place' again!), you might need to find some more summery novels to get you through the hot weather. Check out my reviews for I'll Take Manhattan, The Boardwalk Bookshop, and Never Too Late.
