Capturing my voice against the odds
Capturing my voice took time.
I tried to sing and my throat closed.
I was very embarrassed. Everyone could see and hear how fear was holding me back.
There were people I wanted to impress.
I hated how my voice sounded–bad. I vowed to get better–I can sing when no one is watching and I wanted to be able to sing as well in front of other people as I can in my car alone.
So I got support.

I am ready to fly free
Spirit takes me like a holy wave, an orgasmic possession of pleasure and ecstatic force.

It amplifies joy and it amplifies fear.

Ask yourself, “What is the energy I am putting out with this post?”
“Is it something I want to see more of in the world?”
“Is it something I want to see more of when it returns back to me?”

If you received my email weeks ago about my values, then you may remember that I volunteer for a nonprofit in Sierra Leone.
I’m helping an organization dedicated to empowering girls and ending sexual violence in Sierra Leone.
Over the last week, I’ve helped them do something they have never done before which is begin crowdsourcing online.
It’s really an epic step for them, as they’ve relied on local fundraising or grants before.
