Funny Friday Photos: Don't Mess with Bambi

Happy Friday to you!
How was everyone's week?
Mine was good, although I struggled to make progress on Through the Fairy Ring and forgot to watch the Night Manager on Tuesday. I remembered during the day, but at night got started helping Boy 1 with math and spaced it until the next day when I saw Tom Hiddleston's tweet about the show. Today I found out that the American Movie Channel actually has it on their website for streaming. Yay!
We did go see the First Folio of Shakespeare's works. Reading from a book that old, that was so close in time to the actual creation of the stories was surprisingly special. It could be because I'm a bit of a Shakespeare nerd, but even my husband found it a cool experience.
And, oh my gosh! Prince... I can't believe it. With his passing, I think all the musicians that I admired most have all died. The world has lost so much creative talent this year.
We didn't really have a winner last week, so I'll just get on with the new photos. All photos are from I Can Haz Cheezeburger and have unknown caption makers, unless otherwise specified.
Here you go!

Funny Friday Photos: Highlight of My Day

Happy Friday!
This sure has been a long week. I guess it's from working so many short weeks in a row previously.

I hope everyone had a great week, though, and have plans for a relaxing weekend. We might go to Omaha on a day-trip this weekend to see Shakespeare's First Folio! How many chances does a person who is born and raised in the western United States get to see such a thing? And, you know, it's Shakespeare!

I was completely surprised that our winner for last week was this photo:

It even was unanimous!

Here's our new photos.  All photos came from I Can Has Cheeseburger.

Me and Murder She Wrote!

See! Bunnies can be brutal!

I really can't say which is my favorite. I think the hide-n-seek animals made me laugh the most. Highlight of my day comes in a close second, too.

Which did you like best?

Funny Friday Photos: Creepy Sloth is Creepy

Happy Friday!
So, my entire family LOVED the 2Cellos concert. We had so much fun and they were amazing to watch. They have a new video coming out today, so if you are interested, look up the 2Cellos on YouTube. I'd put the link here, but the video hasn't been released as of yet.

On our drive to Kansas City my husband helped me figure out what needs to happen in the new chapter two of Through the Fairy Ring. I think it's going to be good. What I am loving most about this part of the process is seeing how everything is fitting together. I am thankful to Kelley Gershke for suggesting I work on the story goal a little more.

Let's get on with some photos! Last week's winner was:

All photos are from I Can Has Cheeseburger. Also, a profanity warning - one of the pictures this week has a bad word in the caption. I debated if I should include it, but it really is a good caption to the picture, so I went with it.

Here we go!

Puns!

My favorite is the profane penguin. There's just something about how the dolphins are looking at it. Makes me chuckle.

Funny Friday Photos: Pow, Right In the Kisser Cat

Happy Friday!
We had a four day week that felt like seven work days long. But, it's Friday now!

We've been counting down to the 2Cellos concert in our house. Next week! And that means only a three day work week.

I'm almost done with a new first chapter for Through the Fairy Ring. I'm writing it as best I can (all the details and description) so it'll be ready to go to line editing when the rest of the manuscript is. Then I need a new second chapter and I'll be ready to tackle the middle. Things are looking a little grim for a May release, but we'll see how April goes.

If you left a comment last week, I wanted to let you know I appreciate it. This post went together quickly enough that I even got to respond to comments, too! I'll try to do better with that. You guys take the time to say hi. I think I've been quite rude.

Last week's favorite photo was actually a GIF:

And now our new batch:

No caption needed!

...because now we have to work.
Cue Frasier voice, "I'm listening."

I'll choose the "Pow, right in the kisser" cat.

Do you have anything exciting happening this week/weekend?

Funny Friday Photos: Patient Mommy-Cats

Hey there! How's your Friday (or almost Friday) so far? I hope it's going well for you!
Can you believe it's the end of March already? I'm very much looking forward to April! In less than two weeks my family will be enjoying the 2Cellos. Then later in April (the 19th) the Night Manager with Tom Hiddleston is coming to AMC.
As anyone who has hung around here for a while knows, I love to watch Tom Hiddleston act. I think he's one of the most talented actors there is. He's got two movies out or releasing--I Saw the Light and High-Rise--but I'm reluctant to see those. I read High-Rise and I think it's going to be an amazing movie, but the similarities between the societal demise depicted in the book and the state of politics (society?) in the U.S. is scary. I also try to steer away from depictions of self-destruction. With Hiddleston's ability to bring to life amazing emotional depth within his characters, I fear I Saw the Light might be too much for me right now, too. Funny thought, that an actor might be so good they'd make me not want to see their films! I just know my emotional limitations, though.
So, last week's favorite photo (using me as a tie breaker) was:

Here are the this week's photos! I have a couple of GIFs this week, too.

So much the way I feel after I get home after work. I've become such an introvert.

Once when I played hide-n-seek with my boys, I hid in the closet behind the clothes and had my feet by where my shoes were, so when they looked right at me, they didn't realize what they were looking at. The boys couldn't find me and they still don't know how I disappeared in the house. I felt like magic.
The way I feel when my kids put stuff right in my face. Still. When they know I don't like it.
Gesundheit!

A sentence I hear between Boy 1 and Boy 2 on a regular basis.
The missing response is a cheery "Okay! And then I do you!"
I guess I was wrong on Facebook. Apparently not everyone does love balloons.
Puns!!

You know what? I think I just recognized where they are! I think they're in Boulder, Colorado!
I have sooo been missing Colorado and going hiking in the Rockies. :(

That's it for this week! My favorite is the Mommy-cat GIF.

Funny Friday Photos: Cat's Rule the Week

Happy Friday!
Hey, it's (already) Friday somewhere! I hope everyone had a great week.

In any spare time I've had, I've tried to iron out issues with Through the Fairy Ring. I think I have a good plan. I just need to organize how I'm going to make the changes and then I'll be on my way. I'm still shooting to hit that publish button in May, but we'll see how long the changes take me. I applied for a summer job, and if I get it the hours may overlap with my current job. If I'm working two jobs in April and May, that means not much time for writing. I'll do my best to get the book done as soon as I can, but if the release date needs to be pushed back, so be it.

Well, after that downer of a paragraph, I definitely need some funny photos. Blech!

Two of the three of you liked this photo last week!

Cats rule the week. I found a bunch I haven't seen before. They were on Pinterest, so I unless they have an attribution on the picture, I can't tell for sure where they might have come from.

I like the cat with a murder button.

Funny Friday Photos: Motivational Owls

Happy Friday to all!
You may have noticed I didn't post last week. Something terrible happened related to work, and finding funny jokes seemed totally profane. So, I apologize if you were wanting some funny, and hope to make it up to you this week!

I've gotten Through the Fairy Ring back from my editor, Kelley Gershke at CookieLynn Publishing Services and have already begun problem-solving some of the feedback issues she identified. I have Friday off, so after I finish this post, I plan to get to rewriting. Wish me luck!

On to funny photos! Unless otherwise noted, all photos are from icanhascheeseburger.com.

I get so anxious and angry, I can't even watch any of the debates.

Funny Friday Photos: Cat-atonic Cat

Happy Friday to everyone!
While baking cookies and getting my children ready for bed, I realized that today's Thursday! For some reason I thought I had no responsibilities today. I guess that's what happens when I don't have a book to work on.

Wednesday I noticed that Amazon deleted one of the 5-star reviews from a top 100 reviewer for Finding Meara. I don't get it. I earned that review. She wasn't a friend, she wasn't paid to write the review, she just liked the book. And when you only have 52 (now 51 reviews) every good review counts. I felt a little frustrated with the whole self-publishing process, all over again. I can't seem to figure it out.

But, today, I'm back to focusing on the creative side of writing. And I do so enjoy being creative and putting together a story that hopefully entertains people. So, I guess that's that. I'll just try not to think about the frustrations of the publishing side too much.

Are you ready for this week's photos? Well, I better go find some! Wait here and I'll be right back.

Okay, here we go!

Move along. Nothing to steal here...
There is something wrong.
It became cat-atonic (get it? ha, ha)

Good thing they put the "not to scale" note or I might have gotten confused.
Tetris: Reality Edition Oh dear. "Ew, it's wet!"And a couple of puns:

I think I like the cat-atonic cat. His reaction makes me chuckle.

Funny Friday Photos: Pop-up Insects

Happy Friday to all!
Through the Fairy Ring is to the editor! Yay for the third draft being done! I'm looking forward to seeing her suggestions for improvement. I think I'm on schedule for a May release date, even if she makes a lot of suggestions.

While I'm waiting, I'll be doing some beta-reading of my own and I'm going to make a map! There's a lot more travelling between lands in TTFR, and I think it's confusing. I'll share it here first, so be watching. I haven't decided if I'll put it on my website, or if I want to include it in the book. Potential formatting issues scare me.

Not as much as Donald Trump though. I think the US has gone crazy. And what's this about a Go Fund Me account to get Kanye West out of debt? Is that for real? If it is, I am appalled. I can hardly look at news anymore. The ignorance found there is astounding. E-gads.

So, want to get lost in some funny photos? Last week's winner is:

Here's the new photos:

How I felt last week when my husband was gone.

Now that they mention it...

That's just cruel, in a funny sort of way.
A pun:

I can't really say which is my favorite. The exacto knife and the mixer are both cute.

How about you? Did you like any in particular?
Have a great weekend!

Happy Valentines Day!

I love this passage of Venus and Adonis, especially the line "Love comforteth like sunshine after rain." Isn't that what it feels like to be in love?
