Silly Saturday Photos: A Froze Nose
Surprise!!
Happy Saturday!
I missed another post, and decided to just switch days instead of waiting a full two more weeks. Who knows, I might move the post to Saturday all the time, so I can stay up late finding photos and not worry about having to be to work the next day.
Over the last several weeks I've made several decisions. The first is to avoid reading about US politics, which means steadfastly avoiding scrolling through any social media. Pretty soon we're going to have world leaders in twitter fights with Donald Trump and I just don't want to be a witness to it.
I've organized my home life to within an inch of my sanity. I have a financial budget, an food and exercise plan and a weekly cleaning schedule. I'm hoping by doing a little bit of cleaning all through the week I'll have bigger blocks of time to edit on the weekends. Then I can write new stuff during the week in short-time bursts in a handwritten notebook. This is my first week trying it out, and it's looking good going into the weekend. There's very little cleaning to do, and I can conceive of editing all day on Sunday. So exciting!!
Anyway - I'm ready for new photos, so perhaps you are, too! Let's go!
And a pun.
I think my favorite is the owl. It's how I've felt this week.
Did you see one you liked better than the others? Tell me in the comments!

Funny Friday Photos: A Whim Away
Is it Friday yet?
This week has taken forever to pass. Probably because it's the start of school vacation so my kids are off and I don't have a two-week, paid break for the first time in fifteen years. Those school schedules sure are nice when you're working on one.
I don't have much new and exciting to discuss, so I think I'll just mosey on along to the photos.
Here's the favorite from last post:
And now some new stuff to take us into the holiday weekend with cheer:
Finally a caption for this picture I like!
Writer's be like "Will you like my book?" Oh, wait, that may be just me.
Actually, it's the school drop off lane at 8:50 and 8:51...

I'd burn to death. I can't moonwalk.
Now that's stuck in your head, here's a couple of puns!
My favorite is the Lion Sleeps Tonight. It's such a cute, quirky joke.

Oh! AND... !!!

Funny Friday Photos: Kinky Camels
Happy Friday to one and all!
So, I ended up taking a little, unannounced vacation from blogging for a month.
Sorry about that...
I don't think I'm really blogging, anyway. I'm just kind sharing things I find funny every couple of weeks. I wonder if I'd have any readership if I actually started writing posts again. I fondly reminisce about how interconnected I used to be with other writers and in the writing community, but I don't think I have the energy to try to renew those connections, or make new ones. It takes so much work and time to engage on social media, and I'm shorter on time now than I was before I moved. Sounds like an excuse, but it's just my truth.
Strangely, after moving, I let go of expectations, and pretty much dropped any sense of need or responsibility to writing. Over the last couple of months I've been contemplating how much of a commitment I'm ready to make to writing again and what would be doable within the structure of my current life. Maybe that's what I should write a post about. *rolls eyes*
Anyway, here are some funny photos! It's been so long, let's just start fresh with new ones.

Funny Friday Photos: Fight Club for Writers
Very Happy Fridayanda Happy Veteran's day to the Veterans out there.
I will admit that I'm having a bit of a crisis since the Presidential election wrapped up. It's not so much that Donald Trump was elected, but what it means that he got elected by the people of the USA. I used to tell my children that, as Americans, we stand up for equality and social justice and protect the weak and vulnerable. Apparently, for about half of the US, this is not a true statement. This election has shown us the true face of the American public, and about half of them, and apparently most of them white people, feel it's a good idea to have a racist, sexist, misogynistic man as the leader of our country. Abraham Lincoln is probably turning in his grave. Or crypt... Wherever he's at. All I know is I'm disappointed. And not because I was a huge Clinton fan, either. We need a better way to get presidential nominees. And a better way of electing than the electoral college.
But, I don't want to go on about it anymore. So, let's see if we can lighten up a little with some funny photos? This batch has a lot of signage. I'm really enjoying words lately. I've been making a real effort to work on Through the Fairy Ring, and I'm starting to work on ideas for my next project. Slow going, as usual, but I'm glad to have my interest back.
Anyway - to the photos!
I don't think they're paying enough.
They're at a discount because they have no self-esteem left.
Where I live now is the birthplace of Kool-Aid. I love Kool-Aid, but hate the Kool-Aid man.
My boys and I make jokes about the "Oh, Yeah!!" all the time. I mean, couldn't they come up with a better slogan?A pun:

Well, off we go for another weekend!
My favorite is the Senior Citizen sign. It's the idea of old people being vacuumed. Very quirky visual in my mind. I see some of my clients and imagine their reaction to people chasing them with vacuums.
Which is your favorite?

Funny Friday Photos: Bath by Cat?
Happy Friday all you Funny Friday Photos Fiends!!
Is everyone ready for Halloween weekend? My children keep asking me if clowns are going to steal children and kill them this Halloween. The random, roaming clowns are 2016's answer to the bogey man.
At least it is for a large number of adults.
So, on a different note, how many of you have irritating bugs that just won't die in your environment still? We've had a freeze or two, but the fruit flies, no-see-ums and mosquitos just won't die!!
This is me after I've destroyed the house trying to kill any number of nasty biting insects or purely annoying flies. I have found that lilac oil is an amazing insect bite treatment. It takes the itch out and totally heals the bite much faster than Cortizone10. Apparently it helps to repel bed bugs and mosquitos. And peppermint oil is a repellent for spiders and ants.
Okay, okay. Let's see some funny photos! If you recognize any of these, let me know if I've used them before. I don't think I have, but it's been several years of photos.
So very the way I feel when my kids argue with me.
Another sarcastic sign.
Never thought about it, but quite true.
Why, Mittens! What big teeth you have! And a pun...
My favorite is the no need to shower cat. Deranged animals crack me up, apparently. Except for deranged humans. They're just scary...
Any one in particular you like this time?
Thanks so much, Suzi, Veronica and David for commenting last time!

Funny Friday Photos: Belugas with 'Tude
Happy Friday!
Below is a beluga with attitude. A bad one. Maybe it's hangry. I don't know, but I think it's good it can't get to those little kids.
Did you know beluga whales can be that aggressive? They always have seemed to be serene, until now. Won't be looking at belugas the same way again.
Let's see some new photos. It's definitely an eclectic mix this week!
My kids know I'm the one with compassion for their nightmares, so guess who always gets woken up in the middle on the night. Scares the bejeebers out of me each time, too.
So...there's cereal down aisle sixteen?
The carrot would win. I'm not that cool.
There is a problem here.
It's a shame to use such a nicely painted can!
Could have fooled me.
A pun, which I may have used before, but is funny enough for a repeat.
This is such a weird group of photos. No animals except the mean beluga and a human. My fears of using something illegally is really making it tough to find funny pictures.
I guess I'll pic kIron Can as my favorite. I continue to be fascinated by the bully beluga, too.
What's your favorite? Anyone have any writing news to share?
I apologize this is such a brief post, but for some reason I am so exhausted and ready for bed.Have a great evening/Friday/weekend!

Funny Friday Photos: Elephants Win Again
Yay! It's Friday!
Have you had a great few weeks? My good news is that I've finished chapter two of Through the Fairy Ring. Woo hoo! At this rate I'll be finishing the book in another four years... We'll have to see.
Last week's favorite was the lovey elephants:

Funny Friday Photos: Hugging Elephants
Happy Friday!
How has your last two weeks been? Is everyone writing? Or reading? Or both?
I've been writing and reading. My book is Love Lies Bleeding by Susan Wittig Albright and my writing is that damn chapter two of Through the Fairy Ring. I finally decided "F**k it" and started writing crap in my very cute, black and gold owl notebook right before I turn out the lights to go to bed. Like, literally, the worst writing of my life. But, I'm almost done with the chapter and now have something to work with, so I'm going to keep doing it. A plus, there are some nice, salvageable sentences and paragraphs. I may even write all of the Age of Stars this way.
It occurred to me, too, that Adam Lambert bears a resemblance to Drostan, my pixie character. Especially in his heavy eyeliner days. Funny.
Well, on to pics! Almost overwhelmingly, the favorite from two weeks ago was:
Thank you Suzi, Cindy, Sarah, Lexa, and Mike for your input. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos and hopefully this collection will tickle your funny bone, too!
Look at its little smile!
Is that the Gatekeeper or the Key Master from Ghost Busters? (1980's version.)

Funny Friday Photos: Sassy Pants
Happy Friday!
The last two weeks went by really fast! I didn't mean to skip last week's post. It just kind of happened, because there always seems to be something to do on Thursday nights. Heck, there's always something to do EVERY night!
I've decided I really hate chapter two of Through the Fairy Ring and I need to figure out something different to go there. Every time I try to write it I just get a heavy feeling in my chest and I can't do it. I've been fighting to keep going for a long time now because I need to have a chapter two but I've decided to listen to my instincts and ditch it. I'm already more excited about coming up with a new idea than I ever was about the chapter. I'm thinking about getting Edlark and Hazel into a scene together. That would be way more fun than what's currently going on.
I'm really liking Adam Lambert right now. His voice is absolutely amazing. Okay, so he's cute, too, but mostly I'm enthralled with his voice. My sister would have loved him. Anyway, I'm listening to his album The Original High almost constantly. I've always liked his songs, but something about Another Lonely Night moved my interest level up. It might be a good song to add to my Through the Fairy Ring playlist. It kind of sums up Hazel's state of mind at the beginning of the book. Have you heard it? Here's a link if you want to see it. Click here!
Shall we move on to new photos? There's some cute ones this week! Last week was a fifty/fifty tie, so I didn't post the winners here.

Funny Friday Photos: Clear Skin
Yay for Friday!
It's been quite a week here. Between my mom's health, getting my kids ready for and back to school, and work stresses, there has been very little time for anything else. Hopefully it's all smoothing out now, though. My mom is doing better, my kids made it through their first two days of school and we'll just get through the work stuff one office day at a time.
David is finally in the majority. Peanut Gallery got two of the three votes from two weeks ago, and is our winner. Congratulations, David!
So, let's see what I can find for this week!
