Genese Davis is an American author, host, columnist and media personality. She is the author of The Holder’s Dominion, a next-generation video game thriller heralded as a breakthrough novel by Publishers Weekly. Adam Simon
Adam Simon is a native Californian that began acting at an early age. Fresh out of college minoring in theater Adam began working as a Close Protection Specialist. While training as an actor, Adam offered protective services to business professionals and celebrities all around the world. In 2010 Adam was hired as a 3D technical assistant at Cameron/Pace Group LLC in Burbank California (founded by legendary directors and cinematographers James Cameron and Vince Pace). Adam worked as a Sales Producer for Cameron/Pace while attending the Joanne Baron D.W. Brown School of acting in Santa Monica California to further develop his craft. While attending their two year intensive Meisner Program, Adam continued to write and sell scripts. Adam acts in film and television productions and continues to develop his innate talent as an actor and screenwriter. Adam wrote and starred in “Synapse,” a Sci Fi thriller which is produced by Hollywood Locations and L.A. Center Studios with Kenlon Clark Directing. Adam is also the writer of “Man Down,” a film in pre production with Stephen Mceveety and Mpower Pictures producing and Dito Monteil directing.
Mike Wilson
Mike Wilson is a 20-year veteran of the computer and video game industry with executive positions at id Software, Ion Storm, Gathering of Developers (aka GodGames), and Gamecock Media Group. Wilson is currently a founding partner of Devolver Digital, an independent video game publisher and film distributor. He and his partners pride themselves on helping indies find their way to global audiences, while always allowing creative control and IP ownership to reside with the creators.
Troy Anthony Miller
Troy Anthony Miller is a writer, filmmaker, and improv comedian who lives in Austin, Texas. He teaches improvisational storytelling to businesses such as Whole Foods and Google, and his touring comedy troupe Confidence Men: Improvised David Mamet won the B. Iden Payne Award for Improvisational Theatre (Austin’s version of the Tony’s) in both 2010 and 2011. Severance, a feature film Miller wrote and directed, toured film festivals in 2005-2006, and his award-winning screenplay The Hitch is being developed by filmmaker Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Walking Dead). Using his numerous skills as an illustrator, screenwriter, storyboard artist and more, Rob Prior’s career spans over twenty years of gaming, comic, film, and television experience. Aaron de Orive
A graduate of the University of Texas film program, Aaron de Orive began his professional writing career in the video game industry, serving as a lead or senior writer on Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, Tabula Rasa, Anarchy Online, and Star Wars: The Old Republic. He is also the creator of the fantasy role-playing game SHARD: World of the False Dawn. De Orive’s first novel, Blade Singer, is now available in paperback and e-book. De Orive lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife, daughter, and two very spoiled terriers.
Erik Reeves
Erik Reeves is an experienced concept artist who has worked in various entertainment industries including work for video game companies such as THQ, Activision and Blizzard. In addition, Reeves has worked as a penciler, inker and writer on several independent comics for companies such as Image Comics, Antarctic Press, and Viper comics. He is currently working as a Sketch Card artist for Marvel and Upperdeck Entertainment while publishing his work, Hoodratz In Space comic series.

Danny Fingeroth
Danny Fingeroth was the Group Editor of Marvel’s Spider-Man comics line and has written many comics, including Iron Man, The Avengers, and Spider-Man. He was a consultant to the Fox Kids Spider-Man animated series and has written episodes of the 4Kids’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series. Danny has served as VP/Editor-in-Chief of Byron Preiss’ Virtual Comics and as Sr. VP for Development at animation studio Visionary Media. He is the author of the books Superman on the Couch: What Superheroes Really Tell Us About Ourselves and Our Society; Disguised as Clark Kent: Jews, Comics, and the Creation of the Superhero; and The Rough Guide to Graphic Novels. He was the creator and editor-in-chief of Write Now! Magazine, the leading publication about writing for comics and related media. Danny and Mike Manley have produced a book, How To Create Comics from Script to Print, and a DVD, How to Draw Comics from Script to Print. With Roy Thomas, Danny edited The Stan Lee Universe, a coffee table book featuring rarities from the comics legend’s career.

Adrianne Curry
Adrianne Curry is an American model, reality TV personality and spokeswoman. As the first winner of the reality television series America’s Next Top Model, she has modeled for several magazines, including Life & Style Weekly, Us Weekly, Star, OK!, Stuff, People, Maxim, Spanish Marie Claire, Von Dutch, Von Dutch Watches, Salon City, Macy’s, Famous Stars and Straps, Lucky, Ed Hardy, Kinis Bikinis, Beverly Hills Choppers, and Merit Diamonds. Curry was a co-host on the television game show Ballbreakers. In 2006, she appeared on Gameshow Marathon as a celebrity panelist on the Match Game episode. Susan Eisenberg
Susan Eisenberg is a professional voice-over artist known for her animation and commercial work. Her breakout role was that of Wonder Woman, aka Princess Diana, in the acclaimed Justice League and Justice League Unlimited television series. Eisenberg continued her animation work in cartoons such as Jackie Chan Adventures (Viper) and The Super Hero Squad (Power Princess), as well as in the video games Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Shaak-Ti), Jak II (Ashelin), Daxter (Taryn), Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Mass Effect 3.
Eisenberg reprised her role as Wonder Woman in 2010 in the Warner Bros. DVD Superman/Batman: Apocalypse. Since then she has voiced the Amazon Princess in video games (DCUO & Injustice: Gods Among Us), features (Justice League: Doom) and television (Wonder Woman short). Eisenberg has attended various comic book conventions, including Comic-Con in San Diego, Armageddon in New Zealand and Australia, and Comikaze Expo in Los Angeles. Eisenberg has been featured in national television campaigns for Fancy Feast, Kenmore, Gatorade, Moet & Chandon, Pioneer Electronics, and Microsoft. She has recorded promos for CNN, and voices all of the television and radio commercials for The Salvation Army. Antonia “Toni” Phillips
A veteran of the online gaming industry, Antonia “Toni” Phillips had the good fortune to be raised by a father who fed her a steady diet of creative imaginings and computer science. She built games in LOGO from an early age, whetting her appetite for more complex adventures. Phillips soon discovered the wild worlds accessible via her modem’s AD-DT command and embarked on a series of daring journeys through the distant lands of BBSs, MUDs, and MUSHes.
One fateful day while exploring message boards in 1995, Phillips’ life changed forever when she joined the first residents of a town called Jasper in a place known as Meridian 59. The experiences she had surviving and thriving in that watershed of MMORPGs drove her to become more than a player. She accepted a position as Game Designer at Meridian 59’s studio 3DO in 1998, beginning a career that has taken her to some of interactive entertainment’s biggest developers: Eidos, Electronic Arts, and BioWare. Phillips has accepted many different challenges over the years, building an arsenal of knowledge that includes game design, web and media production, marketing, project management, localization, and executive production for multiple MMO, Action, RPG, and Console titles. Billy Joe Cain
Billy Cain started his game industry career at Origin Systems in 1992, and has participated in the creation of over 250 hit games for home game systems, mobile platforms, and PC / Mac, and has launched three game development studios in Austin, Texas. He believes that games are going to save the world through improving brain plasticity in adolescents as well as making education fun.
Joe Currivan
Joe Currivan is a video game producer for BattleCry Studios (ZeniMax Media). He has been an avid gamer since he could walk, having played games across all genres since childhood. With close to a decade of experience as a video game professional, Currivan has worked for AAA studios such as BioWare and Blizzard Entertainment. Through all this experience, Currivan wishes to share what he’s learned with those interested in gaming and gamer mentalities. In addition to loving games, he is an avid tattoo collector, car enthusiast, amateur 2D artist, and social butterfly who resides in Austin, TX with his wife, Jamie.

Adam Simon
Adam Simon is a native Californian that began acting at an early age. Fresh out of college minoring in theater Simon began working as a Close Protection Specialist. While training as an actor, Simon offered protective services to business professionals and celebrities all around the world. In 2010 Simon was hired as a 3D technical assistant at Cameron/Pace Group LLC in Burbank California (founded by legendary directors and cinematographers James Cameron and Vince Pace). He worked as a Sales Producer for Cameron/Pace while attending the Joanne Baron D.W. Brown School of acting in Santa Monica California to further develop his craft. While attending their two year intensive Meisner Program, he continued to write and sell scripts. Simon acts in film and television productions and continues to develop his innate talent as an actor and screenwriter. Simon wrote and starred in “Synapse,” a Sci Fi thriller which is produced by Hollywood Locations and L.A. Center Studios with Kenlon Clark Directing. J.R. Knoll
J. R. Knoll is a fantasy writer and novelist from Central Texas. His books include the seven novels of the Chronicles of Brawrloxoss, Zoe, Undead’ Zoe, Undead 2, Zombie Princess; Hunters of Darkness Vampire Rebellion, Wonder Woman Legacy, Rose O’scarlett and the Vengeance of Cannonflash Jones, and Hope, Last Year’s Model. He was a volunteer firefighter in his youth. Currently, Knoll spends his time with his wife and four boys, working full time and writing.
Aaron de Orive
A graduate of the University of Texas film program, Aaron de Orive began his professional writing career in the video game industry, serving as a lead or senior writer on Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, Tabula Rasa, Anarchy Online, and Star Wars: The Old Republic. He is also the creator of the fantasy role-playing game SHARD: World of the False Dawn. De Orive’s first novel, Blade Singer, is now available in paperback and e-book. De Orive lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife, daughter, and two very spoiled terriers.

From turn-based to real-time action, hear from the movers and shakers on how far the action-RPG genre has come and where it will be going in the future. David Brevik
David Brevik is a video game designer and producer known as the co-founder and president of Blizzard North (Condor Inc.), the highly successful video game company behind titles such as the Diablo series. His prior position was lead technical director at Iguana Entertainment. GameSpot named him as 1996′s fourth most influential person in computer gaming for his role in the inception and development of Diablo. Brevik co-founded Flagship Studios (in 2003) as well as Ping0 (in 2006), a sister company to Flagship Studios. Brevik went on to become the new creative director for Turbine and its new West coast studio. In 2009, David Brevik began at Gazillion Entertainment in San Mateo, California working in the Gargantuan Studio. In 2011, Gargantuan became Secret Identity Studios and David Brevik was named president and chief operating officer of Gazillion Entertainment.
James Schmalz
James Schmalz is a game developer and founder of Digital Extremes. Schmalz began developing games at the age of 12, creating an Ultima clone called Sorcery on an Apple IIe computer. From there, he continued dabbling with game development through his University years at University of Waterloo. Upon graduation, left with a choice between a full-time paid engineering position and the option of self-employed game developer, Schmalz chose the latter and created Epic Pinball, published by then shareware publisher, Epic Megagames. Bolstered from the success of Epic Pinball and the rising technology movement in the mid-90′s toward realistic 3D graphics, Schmalz officially founded Digital Extremes and the company began co-development with Epic Games on what would become Epic Games‘ Unreal franchise.
David Eddings
David Eddings is the VP of business development at Gearbox Software. Eddings has extensive expertise in video game development and publishing, toy manufacturing, entertainment licensing, marketing, and branding. He began his career in video games as an executive with Gathering of Developers (GodGames) where he played a key role in launching numerous titles including Tropico, Serious Sam, and Max Payne. After GodGames was purchased by Take2, David and his partners founded Radioactive Clown, a toy company that made action figures based on video games (Unreal Tournament, Call of Duty, America’s Army). Now as the point man for Business Development and Licensing at Gearbox, Eddings’ goal is to make Gearbox Software, and its many wonderful properties, a household name among gamers.
Jared Gerritzen
Jared Gerritzen is a video games industry veteran who is currently the VP of Publisher and Developer Relations at Major League Gaming. With nearly two decades of games industry experience focused on the art and craft of video game creation and a deep knowledge of the space, Gerritzen joins MLG from Zombie Studios where he most recently headed development for the Blacklight Series. As MLG’s VP of Publisher & Developer Relations, he will focus on management of publisher and developer relationships as MLG continues to broaden and strengthen its position as the global leader in eSports while helping partners benefit from MLG’s competitive gaming solutions.
Chris Lee
Chris Lee is the CEO of En Masse Entertainment. Lee previously served as Vice President of Publishing at En Masse Entertainment, Inc. Overseeing publishing, business development, and marketing, Lee has ambitions to create a global presence for En Masse and its inaugural MMO project, TERA. He has successfully managed and delivered creative marketing programs for blockbuster franchises like Halo, Need for Speed, Age of Empires, and Aion at companies such as Electronic Arts, Microsoft, and NCsoft. He served as Art Director of Doppelganger, Inc. and was part of the games group at Microsoft Corporation. He joined Microsoft as part of the acquisition of Bungie Studios where he was a key member of the art team on the critically acclaimed Halo 1, Halo 2 and Oni. He was a Commercial Architect and has won design distinctions both architecture and interactive.

Kate Edwards
Kate Edwards is the Executive Director of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA), appointed in December 2012. She is also the founder and principal consultant of Geogrify, a Seattle-based consultancy for content culturalization, and a unique hybrid of an applied geographer, writer, and corporate strategist, built upon a passion for global cultures and media technologies. Formerly as Microsoft’s first Geopolitical Strategist in the Geopolitical Strategy team she created and managed, Edwards was responsible for protecting against political and cultural content risks across all products and locales. In the Microsoft Game Studios, she implemented a “geopolitical quality” review process and was personally responsible for identifying potential issues in all 1st party games between 1995 and 2005. Since leaving Microsoft, she has provided guidance to many companies on a wide range of geopolitical and cultural issues, and she continues to work on games such as the Dragon Age series, Modern Warfare 3, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Dance Central series, Mass Effect 3, Halo 4 and Ryse. Edwards is also the founder and former chair of the IGDA’s Localization Special Interest Group, a former board member of IGDA Seattle, the co-organizer of the Game Localization Summit at GDC, and is a regular columnist for MultiLingual Computing magazine. In October 2013, Fortune magazine named her as one of the “10 most powerful women” in the game industry.
Ryan “Morello” Scott
A veteran of competitive multiplayer games, Ryan “Morello” Scott currently serves as League of Legends‘ lead designer. After owning and operating his own internet cafe in Washington State, Scott transitioned into QA at Microsoft Game Studios for the XBox 360 launch. Later, his competitive experience and abstract problem-solving got him a position at ArenaNet, where he contributed to game balance on the original Guild Wars, and content design on Guild Wars 2.
Jennifer Zhang
As a producer for Twin Galaxies, Jennifer Zhang works tirelessly to bring state-of-the-art video game content to the world. Zhang has over a decade of experience working in the entertainment industry throughout the video game, film, literary, and music genres. Over the past few years with nightly celebrity guest hosting duties at 1337LoungeLive and gaming tournament event coverage, Zhang has become a one-of-a-kind host. The award-winning film The Evil Inside that Zhang wrote and produced features five original tracks from the creative team behind her album “VS”.
