The 12 Days of Christmas Ornaments: Day 2
This was one of the first ornaments my husband and I bought together. We were driving through Manchester, Vermont, and stopped at a craft shop and purchased six of these white ceramic ornaments—snowflakes, flowers and hearts.

Decorating the Christmas tree has always been my favorite part of the holiday season. As a kid, I loved the grand finale: tossing great handfuls of those silver "icicles" on the tree. Nervous day tomorrow
My son is testing for his black belt tomorrow. (Fingers crossed!) Now I know how my parents felt at my gymnastics competitions when I was a kid. Utterly helpless! At least I don't worry so much that my son will get injured. (Knock on wood.) My mother spent years expecting me to hobble into the house after practice on crutches or in a cast.

Pet Shop Boys and Sexy French Beasts
Spending the day working on my new book, which features a sexy French beast (oh yeah!), and listening to the new Pet Shop Boys album (that they have a new album is a relief to me since it seems to imply that I am not their only remaining fan).
Anyway, it struck me that "Love is a Bourgeois Construct" is something the sexy French beast would say. :-)
Will have to add this to the book's playlist ...
