The 12 Days of Christmas Ornaments: Day 2

Picture This was one of the first ornaments my husband and I bought together. We were driving through Manchester, Vermont, and stopped at a craft shop and purchased six of these white ceramic ornaments—snowflakes, flowers and hearts.

The 12 Days of Christmas Ornaments: Day 1

Picture Decorating the Christmas tree has always been my favorite part of the holiday season. As a kid, I loved the grand finale: tossing great handfuls of those silver "icicles" on the tree. But as an adult, it's all about the ornaments for me. I LOVE Christmas ornaments.

My husband and I have always taken a collector's approach to ornaments. We pick up things from places we've visited, and friends and family members give us unique ornaments they've found. As a result, we have ornaments from all ov...

Nervous day tomorrow

Picture My son is testing for his black belt tomorrow. (Fingers crossed!) Now I know how my parents felt at my gymnastics competitions when I was a kid. Utterly helpless! At least I don't worry so much that my son will get injured. (Knock on wood.) My mother spent years expecting me to hobble into the house after practice on crutches or in a cast.

Pet Shop Boys and Sexy French Beasts

Spending the day working on my new book, which features a sexy French beast (oh yeah!), and listening to the new Pet Shop Boys album (that they have a new album is a relief to me since it seems to imply that I am not their only remaining fan).

Anyway, it struck me that "Love is a Bourgeois Construct" is something the sexy French beast would say. :-)

Falling for the Prodigal Son in print on Amazon

Picture There's still something about holding a book with actual paper pages in your hand, isn't there? (And you don't have to worry about losing your entire library if you drop it in the tub either!)

So I'm excited to announce that Falling for the Prodigal Son is now available in print on Amazon!

Happy birthday ... to me!

Picture Friday is my birthday—and I'm handing out the gifts this year!

If you'd like a totally one hundred percent FREE ebook of Cupcakes & Chardonnay, just head over to Amazon on Friday, September 6 and it's yours.

(And romance novels are less fattening than birthday cake. Not that that's going to stop me from having cake!)
