Cole took hold of her hand and pressed her palm against his heartbeat. “It's a Claddagh ring, a silly Irish tradition really.”
Alex cocked her head, much like he would. “Tell me?”
“Worn on the right hand, with the heart facing out, means your heart is free.”
She tried to peek at the ring, but he kept his hand over her fingers.
“Worn on the right with heart facing in means you’re spoken for. If it’s on the left with the heart facing in, you’re happily married.”
Finally, he released her.
Her gaze flicked down to her right hand, and she laughed with giddy relief. The heart was turned in. Even though he’d been so angered by her, he had placed the ring where it belonged. “I’m spoken for.”
“Hell yes.” He pulled her down on top of him.
