The vibrations of your soullike the fluttering wings of a firefly, electrically aliveas friendship ascends to love.

Call of the Light

Cherry petals in early sunfrom grey branches smooth as bones in the desertallow the quiet vibrations of self to surface –the sanctity of spring,a holy ground for beginningto hear one’s own voice.

Elan Vital

In the movement of pastry through fingers, the plenty that prevails even in hardship,my Godson measures earnestly, his three-year-old palms rolling and shaping with such concentration,I ponder if he can even fathom how much he is loved, while in requiescence and remembrance,my grandmother’s hands  sift the gifts of the Earth into pastries and pies through my own.
