And buy a really big dictionary, preferably one that has integrated synonyms. No one will go from dictionary to looking up alternative words in a thesaurus and still manage to keep on writing!
Do sometimes just sit and read a page or two of the dictionary to extend your own vocabulary and enrich your writing further.(less)

Save the World, bit by bit

1 Soap. Ditch those perfumed hand washes. Those plastic containers hold mostly water, labelled trendily as ‘aqua’. Notice you never wash the dispenser’s top and then you have to throw it away. even if it is recycled, it still causes waste and unnecessary labour. A humble bar of soap is self-cleansing; you clean it each time and add your own water!
