One Hundred Views of NW3 came about as I thought of the underside of the Swinging London myth. It was actually a difficult time for women, with much of what happened hidden. It is also shows a pre-phone and car society, before gentrification removed poorer people from that neighbourhood.
The stories in Hotel Curtains and The Fog Index collections come from all over the place! Wondering about passers-by, overhearing bits of conversations, wondering 'what happened next?' and trying to solve the puzzles.

Read - bad books are a real help, even more of a lesson than good literature. And buy a really big dictionary, preferably one that has integrated synonyms. No one will go from dictionary to looking up alternative words in a thesaurus and still manage to keep on writing!
