Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, M. E. (Michele) May now lives near Chicago with her husband, Paul. She has two children, four grandsons, three great grandsons, and two great granddaughters.

She studied Social and Behavioral Sciences at Indiana University, discovering what influences human behavior and finding her talent for writing.

Michele created the Circle City Mystery Series to showcase her hometown as well as give her readers great crime thrillers.

The first novel in the series, Perfidy, released in November 2012, won the 2013 Lovey Award for Best First Novel. This was followed by Inconspicuous (July 2013); Ensconced (Mar 2014); Purged (Nov 2014); and Unscrupulous (2015).

Too much time is wasted on sex scenes. Each one is redundant as it's a repetition of what's happened before. I'd rather see more of the story. I think it's a shame for the author to give young girls the impression that men are so intent at giving the ...more
