Blurb: Kidnapped, captured, and captivated, but who is conquering who?
Publisher’s Blurb:When she is left all but alone to defend her family's castle against an army of battle-hardened Viking raiders, nineteen-year-old Princess Aurelie of Donrose fights valiantly but is soon overcome. After her capture by the tall, handsome leader of the northmen, Prince Anders, she is carried away along with the rest of the spoils of conquest.
Anders makes it clear to the princess that she is now his property, to do with as he likes, and he takes pleasure in stripping her bare and putting her on display. When she defies her new master, Aurelie quickly discovers that Anders will not hesitate to spank her soundly, but to her shame the painful, humiliating punishment leaves her deeply aroused.
Bound and helpless yet burning with desire, the princess finds herself longing for the bold, dominant warrior to take her hard and thoroughly, and when she surrenders to his mastery of her body the pleasure is more intense than she would have ever thought possible. Aurelie's submission to Anders grows more complete with each passing day, but when her brothers arrive with an army to seek vengeance against their old enemy she must make a fateful choice. Will she remain loyal to her family and her people, or come to the aid of her Viking prince?
Publisher's Note: The Viking's Conquest includes spankings, sexual scenes and sexual humiliation, and more. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.Author’s Synopsis:War has come to Donrose, and with her men away, Princess Aurelie is left to defend her castle from the impending northern invasion. Vastly outnumbered and overpowered, brave Aurelie is soon captured and finds herself the new prize of Anders, Prince of the Vikings. Uncertain of her captor, and frustrated by her imprisonment, Aurelie is confused by her burgeoning desires for the towering Anders, but when he puts the maiden over his knee to punish her, her thirst for him threatens to spill over… How can a lady of such high position entertain the idea of a spanking, yet alone be excited by it? Bound, used and displayed, Aurelie’s journey of self-discovery begins as she learns her surrender delivers not only humiliation, but also great arousal and pleasure. With her yearning fit to burst, she yields to her new master, utterly compelled by his dominant affections. But then, all at once – everything changes… And now Aurelie of Donrose must make the ultimate choice and one that she never thought possible. With Anders’ life hanging in the balance, will she choose her family’s lands or her new found love?
Excerpt 1: first meeting (tame content):“Now we are alone—finally.” Those eyes drill into me again. “Tell me, my lady, who are you really?”I flex my fingers in front of me and move my head, boldly meeting his gaze. “I am Aurelie of Donrose, the king’s only daughter and certainly not your lady.”That wry smile cuts across his features again. “I thought you may say that, and yet you find yourself here, tied up on my floor and so, I rather think that you are mine?”“I know not who you are,” I say in the most derisory way I can muster, “and yet I promise you that I belong to no man of the north!”He exhales, shifting his weight in the chair to lean against his right elbow. His big blue eyes never leave me, eying me with an intensity I have never felt before.I push myself upright—not as easy as you’d think without the proper use of your hands. Sudden pain ricochets down my left side and I squeeze my eyes shut. The sound of his movement makes them fly open again and I recoil as I see how close he now is to my seated position.“You’re in pain, my lady?”There’s genuine concern etched across his face and for the first time I acknowledge just what a handsome face it is. His hair is the colour of dark sand, but lighter than any I’d find on a shore of Donrose. His skin is paler than my own and that of my kin and yet I can see the years of experience worn into his forehead and those high cheekbones. His chin is covered in long, dark blond hair, and then there are those eyes… They are the colour of the deepest oceans I have read fables about, and they swim with dark intensity.I take a deep breath, aware suddenly that I have been gaping at him this whole time. “I was hurt in battle,” I whisper, barely able to sustain eye contact with him.He nods, rising from his crouched position and extends a muscular arm down toward me. Slowly and tentatively I meet his hand, making skin contact with him with my bound wrists. As the back of my hand brushes against him, we make eye contact again and an inexplicable shiver rushes down my spine.“Let my servants attend to your injuries…”I’m not sure if this is a question or a command, but his tone is almost hypnotic, trying to quash my defiance and make me compliant. I stand up next to him, fighting the urge to choose an easy life and allow his devilish façade to overawe me. It would, I realise, be all too easy to just stop fighting and consent for him to take care of me.

Two short stories were published during high school, one as a school project and one in a regional newsletter. Later she worked at a publishing house where she earned insight into the work, process and production of publishing books.
In the last few years she has published several fan fictions to which the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. The Beast And Me is her first published novel.
D.S. hasn't always written stories like The Beast And Me and she is still writing stories from all kinds of genres that do not have horror aspects or are targeting adults only. Those stories are published with under a different name. So if you like her writing style but not really the genre, you might want to check out her other books, which soon will be published.
Her name actually is a play on words and language. D.S. is put together from the initials of her internet name and Wrights simply has the same sound as writes.
Before writing she prefers to bring herself in the right mood for the story, listening to specific songs, reading through what she has written before and especially talk about the story with friends and fans. So feel free to write to her.

The Zeta Cartel anthology - criminally good!

Romance, violence, murder, and mayhem, all twisted together in off-beat, action packed stories featuring the Zeta Cartel in Mexico.

The first Zeta Cartel novel by AJ Adams
“Dear God, please help me! Don’t let them kill me!”
Her hot body, slick with sweat, was pressing up against me. Her face was in my neck, her legs wrapping around mine. She couldn’t use her hands, but she clung like a limpet. She smelled of sweat, fear, and a sweet, flowery soap. An old-fashioned scent. Lavender maybe. Or rose. I’m not a gardening man.
Terrified they’d drag her back and hang her again, she was whispering frantically in my ear, her voice hoarse, her tone pleading. “Habla Ingles? Take me home with you. I’ll be yours! I’ll do whatever you want!”
Instantly my cock hardened. The girl froze for a moment, then rubbed against me, promising, enticing. “Chingat!”
Hearing the insult, my hands gripped her arms tightly with instinctive anger.
She gasped. “Oh crap, no! Not fuck you, I mean, fuck me! You understand? Oh Jesus! Amor. Joder.”
She was babbling now, terrified I wouldn’t understand her offer. As if I could think of anything else but having her. I could see the pale white skin of her swelling breasts tipped with sweet rose nipples, tight and taut with fear. I could feel them through my shirt as she writhed against me. She was rubbing against my cock lasciviously, making her offer clear in a language every man on the planet would understand instinctively.
“I’ll do anything you want. Just take me home with you. You won’t regret it, I swear.”
She spoke with an unusual, light, lilting accent. Not an American. Or a Canadian. Not Australian, either. English probably.
The men came crowding round, laughing, catcalling and demanding to have their toy back.
“C’mon, chismoso! Give her back!”
“Yes, we had her first!”
She didn’t need to understand what they were saying; their message was a universal one, too. “You want me!” Her voice cracked desperately in my ear. “Come on, take me to your place.”
She was kissing my neck, but I could feel tears. She was crying. I grabbed a chunk of her hair, and pulled her head back so I could see her face. Wide spaced dark blue eyes, a small nose that would have been pretty if it weren’t dripping, and an oval face framed with shoulder length black hair. Although she was clearly terrified, and tears were running down her face, she tried to smile. She had guts.
Frightened by my silence, she moved slightly, riding my rock hard cock that was threatening to tear out of my jeans, and setting her breasts jiggling right in front of my eyes. I couldn’t help it: I dipped my head and licked a nipple. The tight bud set in the soft skin quivered. The girl gasped and pulled away, but as everyone around us roared in laughter and yelled obscene encouragement, she shuddered and deliberately leaned towards me, offering herself.
“I can show you a good time,” she whispered.
It was just too tempting. I leaned back in my chair, holding her slightly away from me so I could see her body. The ripe, luscious hips and the sweetly dimpled thighs decided it.
I looked towards Arturo and knew his answer before I even spoke. He was grinning like a bastard, and when I said, “You mentioned a bonus...” he burst out laughing again.
He’s pretty generous, Arturo. When we were kids, he was always the first to share his toys.

The second Zeta cartel novel by AJ Adams
“You’re the big boss.” She looked up at me and smiled. She was dressed in a cheap cotton shirt and jeans that should be on the burn pile, but that smile was pure gold. This girl had guts.
“I told José he was a fool to try and cheat you,” she said. “I wasn’t part of it, and I don’t work for you. I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
She’d heard about our policy protecting bystanders. Of course it doesn’t apply to anyone whose eyewitness testimony can put me in a courtroom. Well, try to put me in a courtroom. In Mexico nobody would dare accuse me, and I’ve enough resources in England to guarantee a police investigation would come to nothing, but it’s not my style to take chances. Solitaire would be going into the ground along with Escamilla.
“Mr Vazquez,” Solitaire gave me her best smile. “I don’t expect something for nothing.” She dropped her voice. “You’d like me,” she whispered. “I’ve heard about you. We’re the same.”
“Are we?”
“Yes, I can make you very happy.” She brushed my hand over her cheek and then kissed my palm. “I’m a very good girl,” she said quietly. “Unless you prefer a naughty one?”
She sucked my thumb, and I was instantly rock hard.

The third Zeta Cartel book by AJ Adams
I could’ve strangled her. She knew it too because she stepped away quickly. “Touch me and I’ll have you!” she snarled.
“Bruja mala leche! What the fuck do you think you’re playing at! You can’t push me around!”
“Sure I can.” Her eyes were slate grey, the same colour as the sky, and just as cold. “I need help, and you’re going to give it.”
“What the hell are you talking about?”
“I’ve got a situation. I need someone who isn’t afraid of murder and mayhem.”
I should have charmed her, offered to help and maybe it would have settled it, but I was too mad to even consider it. “Help you? Over my dead body!”
She shrugged. “We can do it that way, too.” She took out her phone. “I’ll call you soon, hopefully within the hour. If you still refuse, I call Smith.” The eyes were hard. “I’d rather not shop you, because I hate that bastard, but I will if you make me.”
I gave her my number. I mean, I wanted to kill her, but in London they notice things like bodies in the street. Especially if you’re careless enough to do it in broad daylight next to a cop shop.

Talking to Edie!
AJ And Storm: What tags best describe your genre?
Edie: Contemporary Romance. This particular book is a romantic comedy.
AJ And Storm: What did you love most about this story?
Edie: It's a fun story. I love the characters. The silliness of it made it fun to write.
AJ And Storm: Do you ever get writer's block? How do you cope?
Edie: All the time. I get stuck on scenes or trying to get from point A to point B. Sometimes I take a break and it comes to me. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with a solution. Most of the time I come up with solutions in the shower or doing something else that's routine. It seems like it helps if I mull it over for awhile.
AJ And Storm: What's the most challenging thing about writing?
Edie: For me, the most challenging thing is getting my characters to do what I want them to do. Many times I have an idea of what direction I want the book to go, but once I start writing, it goes in a different direction.
AJ And Storm: Tell us about your editor and proofreader. What's your top tip for finding someone good?
Edie: Finding a good editor and proofreader can really make the difference with a book. Good editing a proofreading is extremely important. As far as self-publishing, asking around is always a good way to find someone good. I recommend finding authors (if you aren't already friends) that have books that are similar in genre and style to yours and are edited well. Ask the author who they use. As far as online publishers, you can look at other books that the company has launched to see if the editing/proofreading is good. I was very lucky with Tulip Romance. Their editors and proofreaders are excellent. They've helped make my book (and my writing) stronger.

Review: Docklands Diamond By S A Smythe

By S A Smythe
60,000 words
M/M erotic romance
I love Savannah Smythe, now rebranded as SA Smythe, so I was expecting to enjoy Docklands Diamond - and I did!
Docklands Diamond is laugh out loud funny, tender and sexy in turns. I do love the banter and sense of fun that trademarks British romance novels. It’s so real, and so incredibly human. I think heartwarming is the word I’m looking for.
Alex and his talking cock, Broadsword, had me in fits of giggles. I also liked Leith, the playboy with the dark side, Kento, the fun and sensible friend, Shirley, the embarrassing mum, and Willow, the no-nonsense witch.
Critical reviews mean pointing out the rough with the smooth. There’s nothing bad about this book at all, except that I wasn’t in the mood for a lot of sex, and as it’s an erotic romance, I skipped a few of the longer scenes. It didn’t worry me because the story kept me enthralled.

Review: His Cemetery Doll by Brantwijn Serrah

A terrific read that would make a good sensuous horror film
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The hero Conall is a nice, ordinary, decent man, possibly one of the best moral men I’ve come across in ages. The child, Shyla, is a great character too, sensitive and not mawkish.
The story itself built nicely, and there was a good balance between horror and hope. Without going into spoilers, this is a story you will probably want to read in one go.
One thing that thrilled me was that it’s set in the UK after WWII and it mentions the bombings of Clydebank where the shipbuilders were working. My father’s family are from there, and my father used to tell me about those bombings so it was odd and yet familiar to see it mentioned here.
The one thing I felt was a bit awkward was the revealing of the reason behind the haunting. There was too much information dumped in one go, and some of it didn’t quite hook up for me. But overall it was a great read and I’d certainly put Brantwijn Serrah on my Favourite list.
