ThemeFuse to Brizy Our ThemeFuse WordPress themes were moved in the Brizy visual builder for WordPress

As you may already know we’ve been developing this amazingly easy to use visual builder for WordPress called Brizy. You can check it out and take it for a spin for Free on http://brizy.io/

Brizy was launched in 2018 and we started to migrate all our ThemeFuse themes on Brizy, read more about it here, but also added the ThemeFuse layout designs in Brizy as design layout packs.

Since we think Brizy is the future of creating WordPress websites, and we want to focus even more to make that happen, starting today all the ThemeFuse layouts will be available only in Brizy.

The ThemeFuse themes

The themes will not be available for sale anymore on ThemeFuse.com, but be part of our Brizy plugin. We encourage anyone interested in our WordPress themes to try our Brizy WordPress builder.

What does this mean for current ThemeFuse customers?

Only great things, if you are one of our ThemeFuse customers, we’ll offer you access to the Brizy PRO WordPress plugin for 2 years. You’ll need to contact us to get this deal.

Cloud hosting providers are very popular nowadays, and providers are struggling to make the best offers and to attract attention. There is no way you won’t be offered cloud software when looking for reliable hosting. And there is a good reason for that.

You should also be ready for unexpected bills. While it is easy to balance expenses with standard hosting, cloud hosting charges you for what you use, which means that acquiring extra resources may turn out more expensive than you ever expected.

ThemeFuse & Brizy We’ve migrated our ThemeFuse themes on Brizy visual builder

For anyone not up to date, we’ve recently (about two months back) launched Brizy a new way of editing WordPress websites visually.

More about what Brizy means for ThemeFuse and the plan to integrate Brizy in all our themes can be read in my original article when I’ve announced the Brizy launch.

Since then we’ve worked hard to migrate all our WordPress themes on Brizy, so when you install and import the demo content you’ll be able to edit the pages with Brizy instead of the Unyson’s back-end visual page builder.

There are 25 demo websites in The Core and we can’t have a part on Brizy and the rest on the previous builder, we need to have them all on Brizy before updating.

We’ve migrated 20, still 3 in the works. The Chatter and The Trip are blog-oriented and we still need to see about them since Brizy doesn’t have a blog element yet.

In the future

We plan to have only Brizy themes on ThemeFuse, this will bring a great user experience and ease of use for our clients plus it will alleviate some of the support in the long run since Brizy is far more easy to understand and use.

Considering the point above we’ll be forced to retire some themes that can’t be migrated on Brizy. Themes like Paws & Claws, Kiddo Turf or HomeQuest are a couple of examples of themes that can’t be implemented with Brizy right now.

Most likely we’ll retire them (maybe temporarily) until Brizy will be able to handle them.

This was and still is a massive undertaking since we basically had to recreate all the themes from scratch so I want to thank you for your patience in the past few weeks. I am very excited with the new possibilities Brizy brings on the table so I can’t wait for your feedback.

FEATURES. One of the winning features to make Vultr a serious candidate for a hosting would be the mobile features. Nowadays, when checking everything online on a phone or tablet, work on mobile screens becomes a necessity, thus this counts in as a valuable feature. Everything goes mobile, even serious businesses. Vultr made it super easy to check the website and use server to manage it.  Vultr comes with block storage offer for a symbolic price of 10 cents per GB a month. It is known that unmanaged servers lack a lot of feedback. From the bright side, there are many FAQs and guides to follow into solving most of the problems by yourself.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT. InterServer Hosting comes with all possible means of communication with their customer support. They offer 24/7 services, toll-free phone calls, live chats and they answer fast to all the issues. The average response is 4 minutes but it is the quality that is worth mentioning. A well-trained customer support is an advantage of any company dealing with customer services.

MODERN TECHNOLOGY used by InterServer is geared from Cisco, Riverstone and Extreme Network, which makes it well equipped with network hardware and software and electrical solutions for good service working.

INTERSERVER’S DISADVANTAGES (-)

LIMITATIONS. Even though InterServer comes with cheap hosting plus free awesome stuff like migration and SSL Certificate, the limitations are a huge deal for their customers. In case customer didn’t get an ‘unlimited’ SSD hosting plan, they will experience a low performance of their website in cases of huge traffic. Daily limitations of new users and services make you worry whether there are still available services, and if not you got to wait for another day in the line. LOWER SPEED included too, unfortunately, based on the same limitations, BANDWIDTH not the best from the industry with their slow and low offers.

NO SECURITY services mentioned. Security is an important moment for any hosting since a hacked or catching some malware website is a huge responsibility. Secured hosting means a secured website.

NO BACK UP for VPS and dedicated servers. Even they offer free backup services to some categories of users of shared hosting, others will have to do the back up by themselves via the cPanel in order to keep data relevant for unexpected cases.

Same with money guarantee for VPS and dedicated hosting plans: they do not get into the category, thus they get NO MONEY GUARANTEE, even those 30 days applicable for users who sign up for shared hosting services.

 

CONCLUSION:

Vultr has quite an underrated value for the offered services, being among the few hostings that cannot even have serious drawbacks based on the price tag. On the contrary, if someone is looking for a long-term commitment and values the well-packed plans offered for a decent payment, Vultr might be their case.

On the other side, InterSever has managed to keep their old style clientele and they do not aim to progress fast, preferring to maintain the interest of the clients instead of running after new. However, they have their own limitations that might interfere with the desire to stay with them for long in a specific situation.

How will Brizy impact ThemeFuse?

There are two major points to take from this:

1. We’ll update our themes on Brizy

Right now if you install Brizy it will work with all our themes, but you will not be able to edit the current page content with it but only create new content.

Because of the technology that Brizy was built on, there is no easy way to press a button and just update the themes in the new format. We basically have to recreate all our premium WordPress themes with the Brizy visual page builder.

What this means is that the pages built with the Unyson page builder will be replaced with pages made with Brizy. All the other parts of the theme (the blog, header, footer), mainly the dynamic parts of WordPress, will stay the same.

This update process will take around 4-6 weeks and we plan to start releasing them in batches and not wait until we have them all. We have around 10 already done and we’ll start pushing the updates in the next days.

We’ll keep you in the loop about the updates over email.

New Clients

This update will not have an impact on new clients as they’ll get the new pages built with Brizy by default.

The visual page builder extension from the Unyson framework will not be installed anymore so the old pages will not be there.

Existing Clients

For existing clients, the new Brizy pages will be accessible by installing the demo content again for the themes that have already been updated.

The theme doesn’t change, it’s the same theme, only the demo content changes (the pages created with the Unyson builder will be replaced by pages with the Brizy builder).

IMPORTANT: It’s important to understand that the new Brizy themes will work on new websites not old ones.

All the current ThemeFuse websites that you have built can’t be automatically upgraded to Brizy. If you want them on Brizy, you’ll basically need to recreate them.

2. We’ll include a Brizy Pro license

Brizy Pro is in the works and will be available in 2-3 months.

All our themes will be updated on Brizy Free, all the functionality will remain the same, we don’t want to force you to buy Brizy Pro to use our themes.

As a bonus to our clients all our themes will come with a license of Brizy Pro in accordance with the Brizy license system:

– 1 website Brizy Pro license if you buy a single ThemeFuse theme

– multiple (3-5) Brizy Pro licenses for the Developer pack (with included renewal for Brizy Pro if you continue to pay for the Developer ThemeFuse Membership)

Discover Linode vs. Hostwinds: Linux Only or One-For-All Solutions?

While each hosting company is supposed to give more or less similar solutions for the website owners, their targets groups and extent of offered essentials might differ dramatically for the customers. In their Terms of Service, they mention that a pro-credit is offered on request in case their servers go down long enough. However, although statistics are not available, users are providing a generally good feedback on uptime.

AWESOME BACKUP OPTIONS. Data, whether it is separate digital information or website related, has a tendency to get lost. In order to keep it going, Linode decided to offer spectacular opportunities to keep the backups of the data for any possible loses. The system allows to chose your own options of regular data back up through a single click, having the access to the changes whenever you might need it. Moreover, the system is built in such a way that incomplete or corrupted back up wouldn’t replace a full data package stored previously.

LOAD TRAFFIC BALANCED. Linode Hosting Company didn’t overlook the potential traffic jam that can happen when a website might suddenly start receiving a lot of traffic. These are usually the times when data can crush or website might slow down seriously. In order to avoid the situations, companies use various load balancers that help spread the process over other servers. Linode’s balancing system is called NodeBalancers and they help the website run properly no matter the traffic load.

FREE OPTIONS. One of the helpful options offered by serious hosting companies is the free website migration. Moving through a hosting to another can become a difficult process that requires support and delivery short times. Linode helps to make the process easy and makes it for free.

The only system provided for hosting by Linode is LINUX ONLY, this limiting seriously the client variety.

Having built a Linode Library for most of the issues, the company will redirect you there first thing when you address the issue. HOSTWINDS – MULTIPLE SOLUTIONS FOR ANY CUSTOMER

Shared, cloud, VPS (virtual private servers), dedicated or WordPress – Hostwinds offers a range of solutions for any potential customer, be it a small, medium or big business. It has a good reputation among reviewers and customers for its diversity, maintaining the shape of a company that still preserve their focus on clients. Founded in 2010, it has been developing its services to maintain the position of a good hosting. However, how would Hostwind benefit your business? Let’s see its strongest and weakest moments.

HOSTWINDS ADVANTAGES (+)

PACKAGE VARIETY. Hostwinds has it all for any taste, remaining a dominant and flexible web hosting in the industry market. SECURITY comes with a price for Hostwinds, and even though it is a reasonable pay for such an important issue, other hosting companies usually offer it for free. Hostwinds uses Advanced Website monitoring that would be monitoring your website 24/7, will automatically react to any problems by submitting tickets in cases when the website would be down. This being mentioned, it probably hints that uptime might not be the strongest point of the company, even though they claim they have it under the control. For an extra cost, you can also add ID protection for purposes of masking the name and IP in Whois registry.

UPTIME is one of the focal points of any company who goes online. Businesses and blogs tend to build their special relationship with their customers and readers, thus the website is supposed to be “on the run” 24/7. Hostwinds, on the contrary, can offer a wide range of services almost to any group of customers. The clients also claim their services became only better over years, with quality customer service and well priced hosting types. If you want to see its ranking, it goes close to giants like DreamHost and HostGator.
