LOOK at ME! Kept by Camille Lindstrom
KEPT by Camille LindstromGenre: Erotica/ Women’s contemporary fiction

From the surface, Jack’s got it all. A six-figure a year corporate dignitary, he lives comfortably with his family. But beneath the surface, this workaholic financier is trapped in a mediocre marriage, pining for release and zest. He diverts these misgivings to an underbelly world of vice in which he escapes his daily demons, paying for the affections of beautiful women.
Enter Lara, articulate and cultured, but struggling to find her path. The two begin a sordid affair that takes them across state lines and through countless airports, under the cloak of a tight-knit clandestine world fueled by wealth and control.
The wine helped my candor. Jack flashes me a sardonic smile.“You ask a lot of questions. Oh, about seventeen years. We met in college. I was a Finance major and she, a Political Science major. She’d always possessed strong opinions, never failing to voice them. Back then I didn’t think about what effect that would have nearly twenty years later. Young and dumb.”
“Wow. Did you want kids or was that kind of something she was adamant about?”
“Well what’s the point in getting married? Most people want kids right?”
“Some marriages are childless. They’ve got less headaches too.”
“True, true.” Jack smirks.
“Five years passed before the kids came. I would have been happy with one, but we ended up having two. Debra was elated. The day they were born, my life as I knew it was gone, never to return.”
Debra. That must had been her name. First time I had heard him mention it.
“I don’t really think about the state of my marriage. Like I said in Dallas, she just kind of does her thing and I do mine. Most important thing is that the kids are taken care of.”
“But don’t you think they pick up on that tension?”
“There’s no tension when you don’t communicate except for the necessities.”
“Those few times you called me on evening walks, was that following some kind of squabble?”
Jack chuckles.
“Perhaps it was. Debra dove headfirst into those maternal inclinations, everything suddenly became about the kids. She didn’t make herself up anymore. She’d just throw her hair under a ball cap. And sex became only with the lights off, and the way she wanted it. To be honest the lights off was better. It made it that much easier to imagine a more taut, polished version of a female.”

In Book 1, I’ll Be Seeing You, Joy Johnson learns of Matthew’s secret plan that concerns her. She thought he was the love of her life, but her world is shattered when she discovers she has been betrayed, not only by the man she loves, but her life-long friends as well. Taking the time to heal and mend her broken heart, Joy slowly begins to forgive.
Unfortunately, the handsome doctor’s wicked and devious ex-fianceé, Emma Ford, has different plans. Emma, who was the catalyst of the destruction of Joy and Matthew’s relationship, simply refuses to go away. What she doesn’t know is that her scheming and conniving only solidify the two lovers’ bond.
Dr. Matthew Davis has the knowledge to make Joy see for the first time in fourteen years. Will she allow her Doctor to perform this miracle, or will Emma get to her first?
It's been one hell of a week, and I still haven't heard from Joy. If I haven’t heard from her in another week, I plan to call her. Today, my parents and I are going to look at the building next door to the hospital. The owners accepted my offer with the provision it passes inspection, and today we are meeting with the inspector. While I'm in my home office, organizing my files and dictating notes from my recent surgery, my phone rings. My heart immediately thunders in my chest when I recognize Joy's ringtone. In my haste to answer the phone, I knock the damn thing onto the floor, and then fumble with it like it's a hot potato. I can’t help but roll my eyes at myself at the comical scene.
Her call is for the sole purpose of getting her things back that she left at my house.
Explaining that I have an obligation this afternoon, we agree to meet at five-thirty. I consider cancelling the meeting with the building inspector, but I know how important this is to my parents, so I’ll have to meet her later in the day.
I can barely contain myself and rush to the kitchen where I find my parents making lunch.
"Joy called." They both snap around and look at me in anticipation. "I'm meeting her today at five-thirty, after we're done with the building inspector."
"Oh, thank the Lord," Mom says, looking at the heavens. "I knew she would call."
"Don't get your hopes up," I say with a hint of pessimism. "She only asked me to bring her things to her."
"Well, it's a start, son," Dad adds affectionately, putting his arm around my shoulder. I nod in agreement and try to muster up a sincere smile. My gut is telling me not to get too excited.
"Jessie said that Laura and Brian emailed her and received only short replies," I say, leaning against the counter to see what they’re making. "It will be a miracle if she forgives. I conspired behind her back — that's pretty much a deal breaker even for the most secure couples."
"She loves you, Matthew," Mom says quietly. "She won't give up on you. I'm certain of it. Come, let’s eat so we can meet the inspector."
After a quick lunch, we head to the new office and tour the building, floor by dirty floor. I'm glad I came in low on my offer, because this is going to require a lot of work, and work means money. After spending several hours there, I keep glancing at my watch, getting antsy out of fear of being late to meet Joy.
"Go, Matthew. Your father and I can handle this. You don't want to be late. We'll let you know what the inspector says when you get home tonight." It doesn't take much persuading before I’m out the door and on my way to Joy's apartment.
To say I have butterflies in my stomach is an understatement; I have anything with wings flying around in there. I've never been so nervous in my life.
Pulling up to the curb in front of her building, I park on the street where I can see the café. I can see her table in the window and inwardly smile at the memory of our first meeting there. Retrieving her belongings from the trunk of my car, I run up the stairs leading to the inside security door. After I press the buzzer, I hear her sweet voice.
"Yes?" she responds, her voice nearly quivering. Whether it’s from fear or anxiety, I haven’t a clue. I just know I don’t like it.
After letting her know it's me, and she buzzes me in. The closer I get to her door, the more my nerves turn into a knotted mess in my stomach.
I quietly knock and the door opens under the light pressure. Entering, I see her standing there, behind the protection of a chair.
She looks tired, sad and beautiful.
Walking to the kitchen counter to place her bag of belongings there, I find the dress, necklace and earrings I gave her as a gift. My body nearly shuts down on me.
My heart shatters.
I can't breathe.
She's leaving me.

RELEASE TOUR: Not What He Thought by Melissa Kendall
NOT WHAT HE THOUGHTCastle Wolves Series Book 3 by Melissa KendallGenre: Paranormal Erotic RomanceCover Designer: Tibbs Design

Mason Taylor is beta of the Castle Wolves pack. Most people would describe him as a skirt chasing manwhore but in reality it had been years since he found any kind of satisfaction with a woman. Like his Alpha was, he is lonely and wants desperately to meet his mate. After seeing his Alpha find love and happiness through Madame Eve he decides to give it a try. He gives Madame Eve just one instruction - find him his soul mate. The moment he walks into the room, he catches his date's scent and knows instantly they are his mate. When he sees the person though he is shocked there has to be some mistake.
Sebastian Cooke has always known he was gay but growing up in the wilds of Alaska, he has always found it hard to truly be himself. After his friend and fellow pilot, Kate, suggests he give 1NS a try he figures he has nothing left to lose. The last person he is expecting to show up in his hotel room is Mason Taylor.
Can two men get over the preconceived notion of who each other is to find the love they have been desperately looking for?
Reaching the right floor, he opened the door and made his way down the hall. The number on his key was two-twenty and a glance at the first door on the left read two-ten. A brisk walk down the seemingly endless hall and finally, he stood outside the right room.He raised his hand to knock on the door but stopped dead in his tracks. The scent that had haunted him for nigh on a decade hit him like someone had sucker punched him.
It can’t be.
He’d never told anyone about that night. He barely admitted to himself it happened except in his dreams where he relived it time and again.
Instead of knocking, he put his hand in his pocket and pulled out his keycard swiping it through the lock before he could change his mind. There was a better than even chance the person in the room would slam the door in his face before he even got a chance to explain.
He pushed the door open and stepped inside. The full effect of his date’s scent hitting him hard and sending all his blood flooding to the giant erection in his pants.
This is going to be interesting.
***
Sebastian jumped. The click of the door opening catching him completely off guard. He put his hand to his chest as his heart thumped wildly. He turned to see a giant of a man stepping through the door. Big broad shoulders, muscles upon muscles and dark brown hair just long enough to hold onto as he’s fucking you into oblivion. His cock hardened at the thought. It had been a long time since he experienced true ecstasy with a man, since that night so long ago.
As the guy closed the door and turned to face him, his rapidly beating heard plummeted to the floor.
“Fuck.” Sebastian couldn’t believe it was him. Out of all the men Madame Eve could have sent, it was the one he never wanted to see again.
“Well hello to you too.” Sebastian didn’t know what to say so he didn’t say anything. “I’m Mason Taylor. Your date.”
Sebastian stared at the hand Mason held out for him to shake. Was this guy for real? “Un fucking believable.”
“Sorry was just trying to be polite.” Mason pulled his hand back and wrung his hands together in front of him like a little boy waiting to be told off.
“You really think I have no idea who you are? Mason Taylor— manwhore extraordinaire. Everyone from here to the Canadian border has had a turn with you.” Including me. Mason cringed at his words. He hadn’t meant for them to come out with such a venomous tone but seeing Mason again up close and personal after so much time was like a kick to the gut.

LOOK at ME! Dark Brew by Diana Rubino
DARK BREWby Diana RubinoPublisher: The Wild Rose PressGenre: Time Travel Romance

Two months in the spotlight change Kylah McKinley’s life forever. Falsely accused of murdering her husband Ted, she learns through past life regressions that she’s the reincarnation of Alice Kyteler, a Druid who lived in 14th century Ireland. Major events in her life parallel Alice’s.
Someone tried to kill Kylah along with Ted in a hit-and-run. Who can hate them both this much? Her journeys to the past as Alice give her the answer.
As Kylah’s trial date approaches and she fights to maintain her innocence, she must learn from her past or forever be doomed to repeat it.
Kylah shut Ted’s den door. She couldn’t bear to look at the spot where he gasped his last breath. His presence, an imposing force, lingered. So did his scent, a blend of tobacco, pine aftershave and manly sweat. Each reminder ripped into her heart like a knife. Especially now with the funeral looming ahead, the eulogies, the mournful organ hymns, the tolling bells . . .These ceremonies should bring closure, but they’d only prolong the agony of her grief. She wanted to remember him alive for a while longer, wishing she could delay these morbid customs until the hurt subsided.
Throughout the house, his essence echoed his personality: the wine stain on the carpet, the heap of dirty shirts, shorts and socks piled up in the laundry room, the spattered stove, his fingerprints on the microwave. But she couldn’t bring herself to clean any of it up. Painful as these remnants were, they offered a strange comfort. He still lived here.
“I’ll find that murderer, Teddy,” she promised him over and over, wandering from room to empty room, traces of him lurking in every corner. “I’ll do everything in my power to make sure justice is served. Another past life regression isn’t enough anymore. I know what I have to do now. And I promise, it will never, ever happen again—in any future life.”
She inhaled deeply and breathed him in. “Go take a shower, Teddy.” She chuckled through her tears as the doorbell rang. She cringed, breaking out in cold sweat when she saw the black sedan at the curb.
“Not again.” No sense in hiding, so she let the detectives in.
“Mrs. McKinley, we need your permission to do a search and take some of your husband’s possessions from the house,” Nolan said.
“What for?” She met his steely stare. “I looked everywhere and found nothing.”
“Mrs. McKinley, the cupboard door was open, four jars of herbs are missing, and the autopsy showed he died of herb poisoning. Those herbs,” Nolan added for emphasis, as if it had slipped her feeble mind. “Foxglove, mandrake, hemlock—and an as-yet unidentified one,” he read from a notebook. “The M.E. determined it was a lethal dose.”
Sherlock Holmes got nothin’ on him, she thought.
“Where’s this cupboard, ma’am?” Egan spoke up.
“Right there.” She pointed, its door gaping exactly the way she’d found it that night. Nolan went over to it and peered inside.
“Ma’am, it would be better if you left the house for a half hour or so. Please leave a number where you can be reached,” Egan ordered.
Nolan glanced down the hall. “Where is your bedroom?”
What could they want in the bedroom? “It’s at the top of the stairs on the right. But we didn’t sleep together,” she offered, as if that would faze them. It didn’t.
After giving him her cell number, she got into her car and drove to the beach.
An hour later, she let herself back in and looked around. They’d taken the computer, her case of CDs, her thumb drive, her remaining herb jars, Ted’s notebooks, and left her alone with one horrible fact: This was now a homicide case and she was the prime suspect.

For thousands of years, the Morgans and Andersons have been sworn enemies. Clans, steadfast in their loyalty and commitment as handpicked first families to the Devil and God. Both sides tread carefully, maintaining the balance between Virtue, Sin, and Immortality, enduring each other only twice a century, during the Summit of Good and Evil.
With the mysterious murder of Gus Morgan, the balance is threatened and the future of humanity in jeopardy. Treading through a minefield of treachery and deceit, Kate and Grant must solve this murder, face their attraction, and stop a family feud before all hell comes crashing down.
She’d been born into the most powerful crime family in the world, but all she wanted was to protect the innocent…The water cascaded down her body, washing away the shampoo in her hair and the lovely smelling body wash across her skin. One thing the water couldn’t wash away were her memories of the last twenty-four hours. Images of mangled and desecrated bodies filled her mind. The hard facts of her stay were burned into her memory.
Her DNA, the cells that made up her body, were infused with programming from Satan and his demons. All around her, thoughts invaded her senses—unconscious confessions of heinous acts casually tossed around, as if her relatives were planning their daily “to do” lists, like ordinary people.Instead of picking up the kids from soccer or remembering to get milk from the store, they were hideous and grotesque. ‘Manipulate John X into thinking his wife was having an affair. He was a prime candidate for murder-suicide. Work on another insider trading tip and pin it on poor Sally J. She didn’t have the temperament to survive public humiliation and ten years in jail. Once out of the way, her family land could be sold to a developer for a hundred times its worth.’
Kate blinked back tears, trying to turn off the images in her head. On the one hand, she had an obligation to serve and protect but, on the other hand, the onslaught of thoughts were destroying her soul—one small piece at a time.
Unable to control the tears, she slid down the marble wall of the shower, knees drawn to her chest, her body racked with sobs from all of the pain, the anguish caused by her family. How could she fight that power? The family influence was everywhere. Was there anyone in the world with the ability to stop them?

RELEASE BLITZ: Treasured Legacy by Holly Barbo
TREASURED LEGACYQuick Reads Book 6by Holly BarboWith dwindling time, Leone uses the last of her strength to share important family history with her only living relative: her grandson David. Despite her final request to not sell the family heirlooms, David and Anne look into it because of their desperate need for money. But the pieces have secrets and the young couple finds themselves in unexpected danger.

The old woman pulled the warm shawl around her shoulders with frail, liver-spotted hands. Reaching for her cup of tea, she took a sip. The cup rattled in the saucer as she set it down on the side table and looked up at the young man who was setting up the small electronic device.“Thank you for doing this for me, David. You are the last of my family and I wanted you to know about your history and ancestry.”He smiled and tucked the colorful afghan over the elder’s lap and feet. “Are you comfortable, Grandmother?”At her nod, he sat near the video camera and raised his hand to float above it. “Let me know when you’re ready.”Her faded eyes twinkled. “Start it. I have stories to share, and there isn’t much time on my end.”With a wink, his finger brushed the start button and he sat back to listen.“Our family has several heritages. Thirty years before the terror of the French Revolution, a talented gypsy silver smith named Silas Rose married a daughter of a Jewish jeweler named Boehmer. In the next twenty-five years, the two worked together and gained fame for the remarkably skilled pieces they crafted. Their work came to the attention of Louis XVI and later of Marie Antoinette. It was an unfortunate situation. A very expensive necklace had been commissioned…”***The bell above the door tinkled as the young man entered the ornate jewelry shop. An old gentleman stepped out from the back, his face breaking into a grin at the sight of his visitor. “Valentine! It is good to see you! Come in and tell me of your journey. Are Silas and Rebecca with you?”The dark-haired youth shook his head, his expression solemn. “Is it time to close the shop for the day, Grandfather? I have much to share with you.”For a long moment, the grey-haired man studied his grandson’s face. “Lock the door and pull the curtains. I’ll get the wine out of the cellar.”Turning from his task of securing and barring the door, Valentine called over his shoulder, “I brought whiskey. Just get the glasses.”Taking his bottle to the workroom, he helped his grandfather, Antoine Boehmer, to put away several partially completed projects into the safe. They finally settled in some chairs by the fireplace. Valentine poured two glasses and passed one to the older gentleman.“No one wants to buy that necklace. They think it’s cursed. First there is the taint of King Louis XV commissioning the piece for Madame du Barry but dying before he could pay for it. Add to that Marie Antoinette refusing it…twice.” The young man shook his head. “The fiasco and scandal with the cardinal and Jeanne de la Motte has sealed the issue. No one will touch it. Father was able to sell several of the stones to jewelers in Amsterdam and that netted 1,000,000 livres. It doesn’t pay for your craftsmanship but it compensates us for the stones.” He handed over the packet of remaining gems and money.“You traveled the roads of France and the streets of Paris carrying this? Mon Dieu! You could have had your throat slit! This is a king’s ransom for ninety percent of the people!”“I was with Mother and Father on the ship. I left them in Le Havre as neither were feeling well. They urged me to see you right away. I was also eager to return to Jaelle before she gives birth.” He gestured to his travel-stained appearance. “I purposely didn’t clean up and wore my oldest clothing.” Valentine stood and looking down at his soiled presentation, made a grimace of disgust. “I need to stop and bathe, then it is off for home.”“I’ll have Margaux prepare a bath for you. While you are waiting I must show you some special pieces of furniture that were made for me. Jean Henri, a German fellow named Roentgen and I collaborated on their design. Jean wanted to gild everything like his pieces in Versailles, but I talked him down to using beautiful marquetry instead…”

LOOK at ME! The Slayer Series by Vanessa Lieve #GIVEAWAY
THE SLAYER SERIESby Vanessa LiebeGenre: Historical Paranormal Erotic RomanceContent warning: Lethal Union: Exhibitionism, Voyeurism, Light BDSM, Slayer’s Soulmate: Violence, BDSM, Exhibitionism
Sarah Carlton is a debutante in Regency England and she is also “The Slayer.” She has the difficult task of balancing her life between the social whirl of the haut ton and slaying demons and the undead at night. To complicate her life further, Sarah knows a Master Vampire is coming to London – a vampire she has been ordered to capture rather than kill. But nothing prepares her for the Marquis of Sandford, or her attraction to him.Dominic, the Marquis of Sandford, has come to London after hearing of the Slayer. Believing her previously to only be a myth, he’s curious to meet her and fight her – he’s not expecting to desire her and start wanting something else entirely. Then she is kidnapped just as he has convinced her to be with him. Can he rescue her in time?
Dominic stepped outside and followed the girl down a path and deep into the garden. Amazingly he could sense no other humans out here making an illicit rendezvous. It was just he and the Slayer. She was safe, for now. Then he looked ahead and was shocked that he couldn’t see her anymore. The damn chit had vanished.
“Why are you following me?” a husky voice demanded from behind him.
Dominic had to admire her. The girl had been aware of him following her the whole time and had double backed to surprise him. He slowly turned around and faced the Slayer, liking what he saw. She was even prettier close-up. Holding up his hands to indicate that she was in no danger from him when nothing could be further from the truth, Dominic smiled. “I saw you come out here and wanted to warn you that you shouldn’t enter a garden at night on your own like this.”
The raven-haired girl looked him over as if totally unimpressed by him. “I’m aware of the dangers,” she scoffed and Dominic’s lips twitched. It was tempting to uncloak himself again and see how the brazen chit reacted to a Master Vampire instead. “And I’m curious as to why you felt compelled to warn me. Who are you?” she asked rudely.“The Marquis of Sandford, at your service.” He gave a mocking bow.
The chit merely blinked, before raising an eyebrow skeptically at him. “Well, my Lord. Thank you for your concern, but I came out for some fresh air and I wish to be alone,” she said, dismissing him.
Dominic couldn’t help liking her. She had guts and he wanted to talk a little more to see what other insults she would give him. He couldn’t let her go yet. He was enjoying the fact she had no idea what he really was. “Aren’t you going to tell me your name?” he asked when she was about to turn and walk away from him. “It seems only polite under the circumstances.”
“No.” She frowned when he laughed. “We haven’t been introduced by anyone and I don’t think…”
“Come now. Take pity on the gentleman who cared enough about your safety to warn you about the dangers of entering a secluded garden. Tell me your name.”
“Miss Susan Smythe,” came the prompt reply. “Happy?”
“I’ll have to be.” But he knew the girl had lied. No matter, he would discover her real name later.
She was about to turn from him again when he stepped closer and he enjoyed hearing her little gasp of astonishment. He also saw a fleeting flash of awareness in her eyes for him as an attractive male and it pleased him.
“You should be more careful of your reputation, Miss Smythe.” He stared at her mouth. Such plump, soft lips and they were begging for a kiss. Perhaps he should oblige.

Lady Emma Sandford is the perfect Victorian socialite by day and slays demons with her family at night. Daughter of the Slayer and a Master Vampire, she is powerful enough not to need anyone, or so she believes. After all, Emma has enough to worry about at the moment—whether her mother will decide to be turned or not. She could certainly do without the appearance of the handsome Lord Alaric and the distraction he brings.Alaric, the Earl of Northwich, has been sent by the Vampire Elders to observe the family of Slayers. He needs to determine whether they are a threat. He never expected to meet his old friend Dominic and become involved with the family. Nor did he intend to fall for the lovely Emma. Will he manage to convince her they are soulmates or will the Guardian’s Guild and an unknown group of malicious vampires ruin their chances?
“You’ve been avoiding me, Lady Emma,” he drawled, and his deep voice made her stomach quiver. Which was ridiculous. No male affected her. She swung around to face him.“Yes, I have.” She wasn’t going to deny it, and she looked him over coolly as he lounged against the locked door with his arms folded over his broad chest.
“My family seemed to have welcomed you, but I don’t trust you.”
Emma didn’t need to explain herself, but she wanted him to know that she wasn’t scared of him or of any threat he might pose. The Elders may be different, though, and she wanted to know more about them from him.
“I’m sorry you feel that way.” Alaric sighed. “I’m sure your father has told you that I was sent to London to observe the Slayer’s family.”
She narrowed her eyes. “Oh, I know you were. And then you realized that it was my father who had married the Slayer, so you thought it was your chance to worm your way into our house and our life. Supposedly you’re no threat.”
Well, she wasn’t convinced.
“Emma.” He eased himself off the door. “I am only an observer. I’m not here to harm you.”“What about the Elders you’re reporting to?” she hissed at him, revealing her small fangs.
Alaric seemed taken aback by the sight of them. “Incredible. You have fangs.”
Emma retracted them. “I’m half vampire. Of course I have fangs.” She spoke to him as though he was a dullard. “Now, tell me about these old vampires.”
He stared at her for a moment longer as if transfixed and then shook his head. “Suddenly you’re interested in me?”
“Hardly.” She was quick to deflate his ego. “I’m interested in what you can tell me about them.”
She tensed when he took a step toward her.
“What will you do if I don’t comply?” he purred. “Beat it out of me?”
“If I have to.” Emma frowned when he laughed. Didn’t he believe her? She’d taken larger vampires than him out and had no qualms about using force where necessary if it meant protecting her family.
Alaric looked her over, his green eyes lingering on certain parts of her body longer than others. “Are you going to pummel me in that pretty gown of yours?”
As an attempt to distract her it was pathetic. She wasn’t falling for that one. The second she looked down at her dress, he’d pounce on her. She smirked at him. “You’d be surprised what I can do in this gown.”
Heat flared in his eyes and she regretted her words, especially when he took another step closer. “I mean I can still fight perfectly well in it.” Damn him. It was just like a man to deliberately misinterpret what she’d said. And she could fight in a gown. Combined with her other powers she was pretty lethal in one, but he didn’t need to know about those yet. Keep your enemy wondering was her motto. She’d only use them if he didn’t start talking soon.
“Do you normally beat up your father’s guests?” he inquired in a lazy drawl as he took yet another step closer.
Emma gulped. He was getting far too close for her comfort and would end up forcing her hand. Determined to get that information, though, she lifted her chin. Nobody mocked her. “Only the inconvenient ones.”
