BOOK BLITZ: The Honest Liar by Leslie Georgeson #GIVEAWAY

The Honest Liar
Leslie Georgeson
(The Pact #2)
Publication date: May 18th 2020
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Nobody likes a liar.Yet sometimes lies are essential. In my world, the truth can kill. For years I tried to escape the cartel. But will I ever be free of its pull? I have a Big Plan, and no one is getting in my way.Not even a stubborn, sexy cop who won’t keep her nose out of my business.Jamie Sanderson is determined to end me.But she doesn’t know how powerful I am.Even so, some things are beyond my control. Now she’s in danger.I will do whatever is necessary to keep her safe.I don’t want to hurt Jamie, but I’m already buried so deep in the lies that neither one of us will emerge unscathed. Is losing her really worth seeing my plan to fruition?
Goodreads / AmazonEXCERPT:The front door of the business opened and people spilled out of the building. All men. All toting the “thug” look. Shifty eyes. Mean expressions. Most under thirty and dressed in low-slung jeans and Tees. They strode to their cars, and the parking lot emptied out. There was no sign of Rafael Ortiz.Keith cleared his throat. “Are you sure he’s here?”“Well, this is his car…” I trailed off as the door opened again, and Rafael emerged from the building.“Shit,” Keith whispered, his mouth gaping open.Yeah, shit was right.Rafael moved slowly, limping as he headed toward us. His face sported numerous cuts and rapidly forming bruises, his left eye was puffy and swollen shut, and bloody tissues plugged his nostrils. He looked hideous. Like he’d taken one hell of a serious beating. I flinched in sympathy. Oh, what a shame to see that beautiful face marred like that. His open right eye focused on me as he halted before us.“What the hell happened to you?” I blurted. His cut lip twitched in a smirk. “Thank you for asking, Detective. Here I thought you didn’t care about me, except to find reasons to arrest me.”Keith snickered.“That’s not true.” My face heated. Was I really that rude to him?He glanced at Keith. “How did you get dragged into her persecution of me? I thought you were my friend.”Keith reddened. “I simply offered to be her backup since her partner is out sick today. That’s all.”“I’m not persecuting you,” I denied. “I was just following a lead. I know you’re up to something. All those men who just left here are associated with a cartel.”Rafael grunted, his right eye centering on me again. “So, once again, I’m guilty by association? This is a gym, Detective. People come here to work out all the time. To fight. To smooth out their issues.”I huffed. “Well, you obviously just got your ass kicked. Did you get your issues worked out? You look like shit.”He chuckled softly, wincing in pain. “Oh, you got it all wrong, Detective. I didn’t get my ass kicked. I won.”

BOOK BLITZ: His to Shelter by Em Petrova #GIVEAWAY

His to Shelter
Em Petrova
(The Guard, #1)
Publication date: May 18th 2020
Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense
Eighteen years is a long time to never forget…
Retired Navy SEAL Oswald “Oz” Morgon assembled an elite team of men with skills far surpassing those of ordinary bodyguards. To save and protect is a creed that goes beyond simply guarding their wards—it’s a way of life. And these guys are his heart and soul, his brothers…and the family he’ll never have. Now, his next call is to find the one woman who always had a grip on his heart. Eighteen years ago, he walked away from her. But she’s thrown back into his arms—and under his protection. As a JAG Corps Officer, Rose Kilbourn never expected to be kidnapped for doing her job. And there’s only one man who can save her. Back in the day, she believed Oz was the man for her. Then he vanished, leaving her with a secret she can’t confide to another soul on Earth. If Oz had chosen a different path, he might have Rose now. But a man who’s lied, cheated and killed to save those he guards doesn’t deserve the sweetness of a woman like Rose. Still, he can’t help but steal moments while he can, and Rose can’t bring herself to walk away from the happily ever after she always wanted. Now she must decide whether or not to share her secret before it’s too late. But she doesn’t want to lose the man she loves, the man who must protect her or die trying.
Goodreads / AmazonEXCERPT:Oz’s phone rang, drawing his attention. The number meant nothing to him, but they rarely did. If this person had access to his phone number, that meant he knew Oz.“Morgon.”The voice of his commanding officer, now a Navy general, could never be mistaken. Oz still heard his commands echoing in his damn dreams.“General Kilbourn.” A smile spread over his face at this old connection but resurrected a few that plucked his heartstrings as well. “To what do I owe the honor? Have you finally retired and are calling to offer me your brass hat?”“No, goddammit. I call you once in eighteen years and your only response is to grab for my rank.” The harsh tone had Oz snapping his mouth shut on any further comments.“This is no joking matter,” Kilbourn bit off.“What can I do for you, General?”A heavy beat of silence hit Oz before the man replied.“My daughter is missing.”The effect of those words hit Oz like a sonic boom after an explosion. Except this looked more like a nuclear mushroom cloud.Jesus fucking Christ. Rose.“What the hell happened? Where did they take her from?” Tingles shot up from his fingertips to his face, and he realized his blood vessels had constricted with the shock. This was typically the time when people passed out, but he held on to the threads of control.“From somewhere in DC.”“You don’t know?” he practically bellowed into the phone. His voice resounded off the high church ceiling.“No. We have closed circuit cameras showing she left her house around ten-hundred and then went for a run.”Fucking hell.“We can get you the footage,” Kilbourn said.“I can get the footage myself. You believe she’s been kidnapped.” He knew Rose worked as a JAG, who climbed the ranks quickly after she defended a lieutenant and got him out of some extreme charges, which put her services in high demand. Her work required that she dug into back alleyways, uncovering secrets that someone might be trying to keep under wraps.“Yes, she’s been kidnapped. She hasn’t been home in two days and didn’t show up for work this morning. That isn’t like Rose.”“No. No, it isn’t,” he said softly. “Does this have to do with a case?”“We believe so. We aren’t talking about a controlled substance charge and dishonorable discharge—it’s a high profile case of treason, and we might be dealing with groups that can do Rose real harm.”“Does Rose believe this man she’s defending is innocent?” Her name branded his tongue.“She does.”“But she may have dug too deep—stirred up a hornet’s nest.”“Exactly,” Kilbourn grated out. “Oz—I only trust you. Get her back for me.”“I will. In the meantime, do not allow any government agencies to get involved. Those untrained bastards will only get in my way.”“I know—it’s why I called you first.”“I’ll be in touch when I have her back.” Not if. Oz never failed.

BOOK BLITZ: TNT by Giulia Lagomarsino #GIVEAWAY

TNT
Giulia Lagomarsino
(Reed Security, #23)
Publication date: May 18th 2020
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
TNT is book 23 in the Reed Security series and it is suggested they be read in order.
Tony
After walking into my girlfriend’s house and finding her murdered, I’m really struggling to get back to normal. Everyone’s looking at me like I’m damaged, but they don’t know the truth. And when they find out, they’ll never look at me the same again. But a one night stand changes everything. Suddenly, everyone at Reed Security is trying to set me up with this crazy woman that can’t cook, shows up at my work, and call me at all hours of the night. I don’t want to hurt her, because she’s so nice, but how long is a man supposed to go along with a crazy person that thinks there’s a relationship where there isn’t one?
MollyAfter meeting Tony at The Pub one night, I know without a doubt that he’s the man for me. He’s everything I’ve been waiting for, and I’m not going to let this opportunity slip through my fingers. I know that he’s slightly damaged and dealing with a lot, but with a little encouragement from Tony’s teammates, I refuse to let him push me away. I have a whole arsenal of tips and tricks that my momma taught me, and with the help of my best friend, there’s no way I’ll fail. Now I just have to make Tony see that what we have is forever.
Goodreads / AmazonEXCERPT:“Uh…you know, this isn’t working,” I said briskly. She tilted her head, all cute like and looked at me in confusion. “What do you mean?”“Us…whatever this is. It’s not going to work. You’re nice and all, but it’s just not working.”I waited for the tears and the drop of her face. I braced myself for the yelling and name-calling. But no matter how much I steeled myself for her reaction, I just wasn’t ready for what she actually said.“Hmmm. Well, I appreciate your input, but I think it’s going good. Pop tarts?”“What?”“I’m sticking some in the toaster. Want some?”I blinked several times, shook my head, and even slapped my own face, but nothing changed. She was still standing in front of me, asking me if I wanted fucking pop tarts after I just broke up with her. She actually refused to break up with me. Could that really happen? Did I not get a say in this? And if so, was I destined to just be with her the rest of my life? I’d never been in this position before. I’d never had a woman refuse to let me break up with her. What was the protocol for this? Did I just go along with it? Maybe I should just not return her calls. Of course, that hadn’t really worked so far. She always showed up, with food.“Honey?” She quirked her head to the side and smiled sweetly at me. “Pop tarts?”Shaking my head, I tried again. “I’m serious, Molly. I’m breaking up with you. I don’t want to be with you anymore. It’s been fun, but let’s just end this now.”“I hear you. I really do, and while I think you make some not very valid points, I’m going to pretend like what you said makes total sense. But we’re not breaking up. You’re just freaking out and you want to end this before it gets too real. I get it, but we’re still not breaking up.”And with that, she turned around and left the room. I stared at the floor, trying to figure out what to do next. How the fuck had this happened? Was I being too sweet? I mean, I was never too sweet. I was never that guy that women felt they could walk all over. Yet, here I was, standing alone in my pretend girlfriend’s bedroom as she walked out after telling me we were not breaking up.This was not happening. She couldn’t make me stay with her. She couldn’t force me to date her. I wasn’t some chump. I was Tony-fucking-Tacos. I groaned and rolled my eyes at myself. I was not Tony Tacos. I was something much cooler. I wasn’t even Mexican, and if I was honest with myself, I didn’t even like tacos all that much. Not that I would tell Molly that. She had been really sweet yesterday, bringing me food at work because she thought tacos were my favorite. I cursed myself for thinking of her as sweet when I was trying to break up with her. Damnit, I would not be forced to date a woman that I really liked. Fuck, I was screwed. I marched into the kitchen and slapped my hand down on the countertop.“Listen, Molly, this is over between us. I’m not going to let you tell me that we’re not breaking up, because we are so breaking up. I’m walking out that door and you will not follow me. You will not bring me food at work, and you will not call me later tonight to ask where I am. Do you know why?”She smiled at me. “Because you think we’re breaking up.”“Yes. No!” I shouted. “I don’t think we’re breaking up. We are in actuality breaking up. It’s for sure. Not a possibility or a probability. We are one hundred percent broken up, as of right now,” I said, punctuating the statement by punching the counter with my pointer finger. She nodded, her eyes wide with a very serious expression on her face. “I hear you. I want you to know that I really do hear you, but it’s just not possible for us to break up. We have that dinner with Momma and Daddy tomorrow, and they already planned dinner. Momma did all her shopping and got everything we could possibly need for your favorite dinner.”“What dinner?” I asked hesitantly.“Tacos,” she grinned.“Fucking hell,” I said, throwing my hands up in the air. “I’m not even fucking Mexican!”

I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." I didn't think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn't already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.Website / Goodreads / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Newsletter / Bookbub

Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble / iBooks / Kobo—Only 99¢ for a limited time!—EXCERPT:This takes place as Joe and Julia spend the night waiting until her gran gets out of jail...
“Is it always like this?”“Every op is different. Sometimes there’s waiting when you don’t want to wait. It’s the nature of things.”“What did you do when you were waiting, when you were in the Marines?”“Well, I didn’t play cards with a pretty girl, that’s for sure.”Julia felt her cheeks burn as she looked back down at the cards. Her stomach was doing somersaults, and she regretted eating even the small amount of fries she’d managed to get down. Joe got up, headed for the bar fridge and came back with a tiny bottle of wine and a glass.“Here, it will help with your stomach and your sleep.”Julia looked at the glass, then at Joe. “Do you realise that most glasses found in hotel rooms haven’t been washed properly? I watched a documentary about it. Maid service were just rinsing them under the tap, then polishing them with a towel.”He unscrewed the bottle and handed it to her. “Then don’t use the glass.”Julia took the bottle, drank a hefty swallow of cheap red wine, then looked at Joe. “Okay, let’s play.”She could do this. Right? If she didn’t think about being alone with Joe. In a hotel room.“Now that’s what I like to hear.” His eyes sparkled with mischief, making her stomach do the flipping thing again. “Do you know how to play poker?”“No.”“Rummy?”“No.”“Jules, do you know how to play any card games?”She licked her lips, feeling more than a little foolish. “Snap?”Joe threw back his head and roared with laughter. Once he’d calmed down, he appeared delighted. Julia didn’t know why.“Guess we’re playing snap, then.” His grin was wide. “Now when you lose a round, there’s a penalty.”Her eyes narrowed. “What kind of penalty?” She wasn’t taking off any clothes. None.“Julia Collins, you’re thinking about stripping again, aren’t you? You are just desperate to get naked with me. Unfortunately, I’ll have to wait for that pleasure. If you lose, the winner has the right to claim a boon.”Her head snapped up. “Boon?”“Yeah, a reward.” He waggled his eyebrows. “It could be in the form of a question the loser has to answer, or a dare they have to take, or a kiss they have to give the winner.”His eyes lingered on her lips, making her flush as she remembered the brief, sweet kiss he’d given her weeks earlier. The kiss that had made her hide from him ever since. His eyes darkened as he watched her. “You’re thinking about it, aren’t you?”Julia felt her cheeks burn, but didn’t answer.“You still playing?” he challenged.“Is hiding in the closet an option?”His lips twitched. “No.”“Then let’s start.” This might just be a game of snap, but there was no way she was letting him win. Especially with this boon system in place. The dark places of her mind were already speculating about what sort of boon Joe would claim. She shut them down and sat up straight.“You ready?”“Play your card, Joe.”He won the first round because his reflexes were like a cat.“This game isn’t fair,” Julia pointed out. “It’s more about being physical than being smart. I don’t have the same level of fitness as you. Nor do I have your speed.”“I think you just insulted me.” He grinned as Julia went over her words. Her eyes went wide. “I don’t mean I would have a better chance if we were playing a game that needed intellect. I just mean you’re bigger. You have more muscle. You’re sneaky and fast.”“Tell you what, we’ll put the cards closer to you so that your shorter arms can reach them faster. Does that help?”“You’re mocking me.”“Only a little. Now I want to claim my boon.”She froze. “I’m not taking off any clothes.” Not that she had many on. She’d packed a suitcase full of shapeless cotton dresses because she thought they would be the most practical option. All she had on was a beige tent that went to her ankles and beige cotton underwear.Oh. My. Goodness.Joe could not see her underwear. Ever.“You know, just once, I’d love to be inside your mind,” Joe said. “I bet it would be fascinating.”“What’s the boon, Joe?” She squared her shoulders. She could take it.“Unpin your hair. Let it fall free.”“My hair.” She touched the tight bun at the back of her head.“Yeah, I’ve never seen it down.”Feeling entirely too self-conscious, Julia unpinned her hair. The honey-coloured waves fell to her shoulders. Her hair was hard to style. It was never neat enough for Julia, and there was too much of it. She’d inherited her mother’s thick locks.“Beautiful.” Joe reached out and played with one of the waves. “You should wear it down all the time.”“It gets in the way.”“Of what?”She frowned at him. “Life.”With a grin, Joe played another card. “Come on, time for you to win a boon. If you can.”

(Satan’s Pride, #3)

Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Orion – sign of the club and shield. He lost it all before he found the family he’s committed to now, Satan’s Pride. He survives the loss of his mother, the coldness of his father and the sudden death of his wife and child. He survived this all and the only casualty was his heart. He vowed to never love again, so he would never relive that pain. Can one woman make him learn to give all of himself one more time?Viviana loved everything and everyone. She embraced life, even though her childhood was filled with turbulence and abandonment. She wanted a family to call her own and when she became pregnant, she believed her choice was to flee, giving Orion the freedom she thought he wanted. Can these two souls leave the past in the past and listen to their hearts instead?
Goodreads / Amazon / KoboEXCERPT:Orion plunks himself in an armchair and hoists one woman on each of his knees. One begins to caress his chest and the other makes a move to kiss him, but he moves his head so that she nuzzles his neck. This is wrong. So very, very wrong. He’s making a big mistake. My feet drag me in front of Orion and my mouth has a mind of its own. I can’t seem to control or stop myself.“Orion, please don’t do this. Please, I am asking you not to do this,” I urge in a hushed tone, so that I’m not overheard by anyone else in the MC.“What’s it to you, sugar-girl?” he asks, then leans in to add suggestively, “You want in on this?”I am taken aback for a moment. An indignant gasp escapes me. Good thing I bounce back quickly and formulate my thoughts to find a different method of reaching him.“Orion, Vi would forgive you anything–anything, but what you are about to do. This she will never be able to forget or forgive. Is it worth the risk?” I ask with a defined tone. I am thinking is the wrong thing to say when Orion jolts out of his seat.Orion stands, not caring that the women, who were just moments ago seated in his lap, are tossed to the floor with the intensity of his movement. He bends his large frame to meet my eyes. “What do you know about what Vi wants?” he spits out. Then, in a mere matter of seconds, as if the haze lifts from his clouded head, the light dawning on the horizon, he takes a menacing step forward, forcing me to move back a step. He quirks his head to the side to study me. “What do you know, Hanna?” Orion questions, with fury in his tone.“I really think that she loves you and this would be the one thing that she would never be able to forgive you for,” I reply softly. My eyes dart around, looking for an exit. Old instincts start to kick in. Instead I find myself surrounded by Ava, Maddie, Risk, War, and Orion, their eyes all staring at me intently. Damn me and my big mouth.

I was definitely not the life of the party. As a matter of fact, I never wanted to go to any high school dances or any activities the school offered. I was good with being alone. I had to grow into my own and I eventually became the fun loving, open-minded and creative person I am now. I love the me I have become and I am grateful that this is where I have landed.Writing is my release and I have escaped in my imagination to some incredible places meeting the most awesome characters. I also wanted to be a rock star but anyone who has ever heard me sing kindly convinced me that I do not have any talent. (In other words, I suck at it.)Although I have been writing since I was in grade school, I only just launched my first novel. I have had pieces published as short stories and such but “Guard: is my first novel, with many more to follow.I am a hopeless romantic. I thrive on two individuals connecting in mind, body and soul. The understanding of wants and needs and placing them as a priority and not out of fear of losing them or because you feel you need to concede; you do it because it feels easy and right in your own heart.I love to cook! I enjoy making meals for my family and friends and bantering around the table. I have colourful people in my life and they all add to my rainbow. I love music! I like it all, depending on my mood.My other passion is travelling. I want to enjoy all that life has to offer. I want to meet people, learn from them and create the most fantastic, sexy love stories. If I can do this overlooking the ocean and feeling the breeze wash over me then I have my heaven on earth. I am so blessed! Thank you for reading!Website / Facebook / Newsletter

BOOK BLITZ: His Baby, Her Billionaire by Sloan Storm #GIVEAWAY

His Baby, Her Billionaire
Sloan Storm
(Her Billionaire Series, #1)
Publication date: May 15th 2020
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
He has billions of secrets. Me? I only have one, my baby bump, and it’s starting to show.Dalton “The Destroyer” Maxwell. That’s what they call him. He’s the sexy older man, the distinguished battle-hardened SEAL turned brooding, introspective professor. There isn’t a red-blooded female in five hundred miles that wouldn’t kill to trade places with me.It was only a fling – just a chance encounter in a faraway place. I wasn’t looking for a fairy tale ending beneath those starry skies. But what should’ve stayed a memory didn’t. It chased me home, leading me right where it shouldn’t – his arms. Now the consequence has me feeling like I’m cramming for an exam that I’ll never pass. The truth is, everything about us is forbidden. Nothing good can come of it.There’s only one problem. Dalton disagrees and won’t take “no” for answer. When he promises he’ll give it all up for me and his baby, that’s when his ten-figure truth leaves me with an impossible choice. What have I done?
Goodreads / AmazonEXCERPT:She turned her head but didn’t speak as her blonde hair fluttered in the gentle breeze of the oceanfront spray. I was close enough to catch her scent. A faint hint of lilac and sweet jasmine blended with the surf-churned air, capturing my focus and pulling me closer to the source.I knew she heard me.I also knew what she was probably thinking.Couldn’t stay away huh?Subtlety isn’t a strength of mine, on the battlefield or in the war of love.In my hands, an arsenal of alcohol, one bottle I’d half-emptied, guzzling it down on the stroll. I hit the beer again, taking a quick pull and attempting to draw her out of her guarded silence.“Guess that’s a no.”It’s not like I gave a damn about the game. I doubted she did either. Then, she turned and my jaw clenched.Easy.Easy.Only it fucking wouldn’t be.The chick was an absolute knockout. She’d be right at the top of any man’s trophy shelf. And if my plan panned out, I’d be adding her to my collection long before the sun crested over the distant capri-blue swells.Maybe it was those early years, being shipped off to military school like a dog chained up in the yard after it’d pissed the floor one too many times. Whatever the cause, the effect had a way of heightening my interest in the fairer sex long before it otherwise might have.Point is, for as long as I could remember, only the most beautiful of women were worth the pursuit. After all, you only live once. Tales from the rocking chair are always better when you landed the big fish, not when it disappeared back to the murky depths.Even so, I never breathed a word of my conquests over the years.Outside the small circle of my SEAL brothers, my appetites were strictly confidential. Sometimes I wondered if my blue-blooded parents thought I might not even be straight but instead playing for the same team like my sister, Shelley. But whatever, fuck them.I thought for certain I’d bedded the best, had more than my fair share of beauties from one far flung part of the planet to the other. That is, until now.My breathing slowed. I blinked even slower and tightened my grip on the bottlenecks so hard, it felt like they might crackle into shards between my fingers.Sunlight flared in the depths of her hazel green eyes. Lightly tanned skin and high cheekbones drew my gaze toward a set of supple, silk-smooth lips. She didn’t bother trying to contain the renegade, wind-whipped strands of her mane as they lashed about, tickling her sun-kissed complexion.Instead of giving me the results of the game, she fixed a little smirk on her lips and came right back at me.“Guess.”That was all the opening I needed. I took a step her direction, the sea-dampened sand giving way under my feet.“Better luck next time.” I lifted the bottle. “How ‘bout a consolation prize?”She wrinkled her nose. “Thanks, but no. I’m not much of a beer drinker.”The condensation on the neck dripped from my fingertips as I offered her the bottle once more.“No strings.” I wiggled it. “Why waste this beautiful sunset sober?”Just then, a wave hammered the shoreline behind her, surf thundering as it roared our direction. It was on us in no time, swirling around our legs and tugging at them like a deep sea vacuum. A shriek escaped from her lips. It didn’t sound like fear though, more like a melodic blend of whimsy and surprise. She hadn’t meant to do it.Or maybe she had.I steadied myself, flexing my legs and core while she clung to me. But almost as soon as it came, the rushing current receded, leaving only her fear-filled fingers clutched tight around my biceps.“Sorry.” She sputtered out a reedy breath and snatched her hands away, forming two white-knuckled fists. The doe-eyed beauty stood there frozen stiff, in a defensive position with her hands partially blocking her tits. I imagined those same delicate fingers curled into the meat of my hips while I claimed her wet silk, taking her under the stars in a secluded seaside hidey hole.

In fact, the ghost says “Marilee’s with me.”Whether that means the child is a ghost as well is a question Rob and Kelly hope to answer.
Goodreads / Amazon / iBooksEXCERPT:A frightened “Mom” roused me from a fitful sleep. I swung my legs off the bed, the hardwood cool against my feet. “I’m coming,” I called as I rushed to TJ’s room. I found him sitting up in bed, his eyes big and worried.“What is it, sweetie?” I asked as I sat beside him. “Did you have a bad dream?”“Mom, Alexa was crying again.”“What do you mean?” I tipped his face up and looked him in the eyes. “Alexa can’t cry. She’s not a real person. Tell me what happened.”“I was asleep and I heard a little girl crying. There wasn’t anybody in my room but I could still hear it.”“Maybe you were dreaming.”He crossed his arms over his chest and glared at me. “I wasn’t dreaming, Mom.”“Okay, then. Maybe it just sounded like crying.”“There were words, too.”“Words?”He nodded. “I said, ‘is anybody there’ and the crying stopped. Then Alexa said Help us.” His serious eyes dared me to not believe him.

Genres: Adult, Urban Fantasy

She’s going to have to challenge the very Laws that govern her kind. And nothing is going to stop her from honoring her word.
Goodreads / Amazon—Only 99¢ for a limited time!—EXCERPT:I waited for her to load in, then went to the back door, keeping my eyes down respectfully. I couldn’t pose a threat to them now, not if they were taking me to the wolf I needed to see.“You were prettier in the pictures, Jacky. Less…battered.” His voice was like a smooth brandy, somewhat chilled, and very secure, brimming with an arrogant element of confidence. I looked up to see the wolf next to me and found myself looking into the grey-blue eyes I already knew well.Heath Everson was right next to me, and he didn’t look pleased to see me.“Where’s my daughter?” he demanded.I sat stunned for a moment. There were a couple of problems that kept me from getting my brain to function properly. One, I wasn’t used to the power that filled the air around me. This wolf was powerful. It was in his scent. It was in his posture, leaning back half against the seat and half on the far door, with one arm stretched out over the back, which he could use to grab the back of my neck if I wasn’t careful. He’d positioned himself carefully, with his long legs stretched out into my leg space, an obvious play that I had no personal space he cared to respect. Two, he was disarmingly good-looking. He hadn’t seemed like that in the pictures I had seen of him, quietly sitting in the back. His smiles in those had been soft. The one I was confronted with was sharp. He wasn’t a rugged man like most werewolves I’d seen. He was classically beautiful, with a sharpness that made me uncomfortable. The only thing about him that wasn’t styled to perfection was his hair, which looked like he’d run his hand through it too many times. It fell over his face, framing his dastardly grey-blue eyes. And that was all before I got to his broad shoulders, encased in a crisp black suit. He didn’t look like a man who was fighting for his life. Not in the slightest.Three…well, it was time for me to tell him that his daughter was taken from me, and I was pretty certain he would try to kill me after that.“Start talking, Jacky.” He didn’t remove his eyes from me as the SUV got moving.
