Friday's Frank Talk

Welcome to Friday Frank Talk
Sage Marlowe Today we welcome one of Siren-Bookstrands BIGGEST Bestselling Authors, Ms. Sage Marlowe. With her keen ability to ensnare us with her writings of male on male characters that capture our hearts and heightens our desires, Ms. Marlowe is one hot commodity! Today, she has chosen to sit down with me for an interesting and titillating conversation. So, let’s give Ms. Marlowe a big welcome!
So Sage tell us…1. Being an Erotic Romance Author, you must have a vivid imagination, especially considering you genre you write in. So tell us, where does all this inspiration come from?

My inspiration comes from many different sources. Sometimes a single sentence I hear somewhere triggers a plot element, sometimes it’s a situation I'm in. That doesn't have to be anything extraordinary. The cutie behind me in the queue at the drug store a couple of weeks ago was very inspiring, as was waiting for the elevator just the other day. I also find inspiration in music, perhaps the most of all. Occasionally I find myself writing a sentence at the exact same moment that line turns up in a song, which is a bit weird, really.
2. So, according to your author page, you’re quoted as saying “My characters just enjoy their romps and being deliciously naughty”, but yet when asked about you, you chose not to answer. So let me ask, do you enjoy a good romp and do you like being deliciously naughty?
Hehe. I'd be in the wrong profession if I didn't enjoy the occasional naughty romp or two, wouldn’t I? And yet, one shouldn’t forget that the brain can be the sexiest part of the body. Sometimes what’s in your head is even better than the real thing.
3. Publishing that first book is a big hurdle for many authors. How did you react when Siren agreed to publish your first book?
My reaction to that very first acceptance e-mail was what I expect a heart attack to be like. You know, going pale, flailing my arms and puffing and wheezing a lot. Good thing I was alone in the house or someone would have called the emergency doctor—hang on. Did I just say that? Drat, I wish I hadn't been alone in the house and someone had called the emergency doctor. That would have been something to put into a book! (Note: my debut novel Sub-Mission was released with Total-E-Bound Publishing)
4. What was it that told you, “Hey, write about Man Love?”
Heh! The fictional character who turned up in my bedroom at four in the morning and kept pestering me for two weeks. He wouldn't go away, so I gave in and wrote his story. Before that I'd always wanted to write a book but the muse kept avoiding me. I guess he just didn't like it that I'd intended to write thrillers.
5. Where does all your sexual inspiration come from?
Ha-ha, wouldn't you like to know? Sadly, the answer to that is not all that exciting. The intimacy between my guys just develops out of the story line and their own dynamic and sometimes I’m honestly surprised what they’re up to. I’m just the back seat traveler who gets to take notes and make it sound appealing.
6. Most readers believe the more hot steamy sex the better! In some cases, readers would like to believe that if the author can write it, therefore she must live it. So tell us…was there a scene that was inspired by none other than Sage herself?
Hmm. Let me think about this… Yes. Hehe.
7. You have chosen to delve into the Gay scene with your writings. What is it about Man Love that tickles your fancy?
Uh, the men? Sigh. Well, okay, this is a frank talk so I will be frank. For me, writing Man Love or rather, about gay men is not just a matter of what tickles my fancy. Sure, two sexy guys going at it is the hottest thing ever, but I write about gay men because it is what I am and what I live. I'm attracted to men, I'm in a relationship with a man, and while the outside world might see me as a straight woman, I really am a gay man on the inside. Traditionally assigned gender roles, especially the female one, are a mystery to me and I find it difficult to write about a heterosexual relationship simply because I don’t understand how the chemistry between the people involved works. Also, I like to think that my characters choose to present themselves to me, and so far they’ve all been male. I can’t seem to write a female character that doesn’t end up being stereotypical.
8. When writing the heavy sex scenes, how do you keep yourself inspired?
Hmm, this is a bit like the question about where all my sexual inspiration comes from, so I assume the operative expression here is “heavy sex scenes”. I don't exactly browse the Internet for wicked sex toys my characters could use (Note to self: must start to do that) but I do have a vivid imagination. And occasionally I come across the odd inspirational, ahem, film or book which provides fodder for that vivid imagination. Sometimes there’s a scene, a particular position or maybe an item that sparks my interest and if it fits the characters and their story, I’ll delve into that fantasy, play around with it a bit and write it down.
9. Do you ever see yourself writing a typical M/F book?
Well, as I said above, I don’t understand (stereotypical) heterosexual relationships and M/F sex just doesn't do it for me. And yet, I have actually tried writing a M/F story recently in an attempt to cross genres and attract new readers. And yeah, I chickened out when it got serious. I could probably pull it off if I really made the effort, but it's not who I am and I'd rather remain authentic in my little corner than write for a specific market. Besides, there are lots of brilliant authors out there who got the M/F romance genre covered better than I ever could.
10. What’s in the future for Sage Marlowe?
Certainly more writing, because I just cannot notwrite. It has become too much of a part of my personality to stop. I'm covered with releases until the end of January 2013 and have a couple of WIPs on the go that I'm hoping to finish eventually. Among my current WIPs is the third book in my Romeo & Julian series, and a novel with the working title "Fallen". They will be the ones I finish next. Furthermore, I plan to write a free short story as a little thank you to my readers and I have a novella on the backburner that deals with the T in GLBT. Then there are all those blurry notes and plot lines I want to follow up on. That should keep me busy for the next decade or so and, oh, right, my alter ego's life needs some looking after, too.
Thank you so much for having me today, Rebecca. This talk turned out quite a bit franker than I thought it would, but it was great fun! Buy link for Re-Submission, my current release from Total-E-Bound Publishing:

Blurb:
Rubbing a toppy sub, a submissive Top and a Dom with attitude together is guaranteed to send sparks flying — but what will they ignite?
Meet Tyler Kane. Ballsy and headstrong, he's far from being the submissive type. Francis Hollister, Dom and proud owner of a BDSM club, couldn't agree more —and yet, as Tyler carelessly suggests a bet, Francis sees an opportunity arise and decides to take him up on it.
Soon Tyler finds himself in Francis' club and about to be trained as a sub. When Shae, the gorgeous Top Francis has assigned to teach him, doesn't appear to be quite as dominant as his role would lead to believe and Francis turns out to be a rather versatile Dom, Tyler sees a perfect match just waiting to be made happen. Too bad though that he's the only one who sees it. Or maybe he isn’t?
Curious to find out what happens when you rub a submissive Top, a toppy sub and a Dom with attitude together and what exactly the sparks from that explosive combination ignite, Tyler enlists the help of Pierce, Francis' brother, and his partner Noah, and sets out on a mission.
While Tyler's plan seems to work out astonishingly well, it seems that there's more than one man in the club who is pursuing a hidden agenda… Well there you have folks…right from Sage’s mouth! Check out her MAN LOVE Books on sale now at SirenBookstrand. Till then, keep reading and tune in next Friday for another Frank Talk with a Surprise Guest! Rebecca Joyce

Thursday's Title Author

Thursday’s Title Author Jan Graham
Welcome to another Thursday's Title Author blog spot. This week we have none other than's Siren's wicked BDSM Aussie writer from down under, the wonderful Jan Graham. So, please lets give Jan a big howdy from the states, and welcome her to Thursday's Title!      Jan Graham is an Australian author who often gets described as living her life slightly left of centre. She is a full time writer with six works to her credit so far and more due for release in the New Year. Jan writes Contemporary Romantic Suspense with BDSM themes featuring heavily in most of her books. She is an active member of the BDSM community in her home state of New South Wales, Australia and has recently moved back to live in an inner city area of Newcastle. Jan freely admits to spending too much time drinking cappuccino at some of the fantastic cafes in her new suburb, while tapping away on her trusty laptop as she writes her next book, of course. Finding Angel and Playing Jax are the first two books in Jan’s Wylde Shore Series and she is currently working on the third book, Switching Mercedes which she hopes to have ready for release in early 2013. BUY MEAngel Wylde is a woman with a complicated existence, a damaging past, and a desire to be normal. Unfortunately, what’s normal to Angel is unconventional to the rest of us. A crime boss will kill to get an incriminating ledger from her. Detective Steve Jax also wants the ledger from Angel, but the infuriating woman has disappeared. Christian and Daniel Shore, Steve's two best friends, don’t know about the ledger. They just want Angel. A chance meeting has them taking her home and deciding she is the only woman for them—yes, both of them. Obviously, Angel isn’t the only one with unconventional desires. So who does Angel trust? Two kinky Doms she just met, a cop she doesn’t know anything about, or a nasty crime boss? Trusting all of them may save her life, and falling in love with two Dominant brothers is the icing on the cake.
BUY ME Steve Jax buried his heart, along with his soul mate, two years ago. He had his turn in the game of love, and it didn't work out, end of story. His new neighbor might stir certain passions within him, but his dark, kinky desires aren't the sort of thing a sweet, naïve ex-nun should be exposed to. All he has to do is convince the determined little minx of that.Rhiannon McCabe has never been in love. She's hidden under a religious veil since she was eighteen. Now everything's changed. She's left the church, created a new life, and finally met the only man to ever arouse her sexual nature. Steve might think he doesn't have the capacity to love her, but she's determined to convince him otherwise. If love really is a game, then Steve Jax is a prize worth playing for. To get in touch with Jan try these links...she would love to hear from ya!Website: http://www.jangraham.com.au Blog: http://jangraham.blogspot.com/Facebook: http://facebook.com/JanGrahamAuthorpageTwitter: http://twitter.com/jan_graham      Well Folks...to read more interesting titles from the amazing Jan Graham, just click on over to her author page at Siren...http://www.bookstrand.com/jan-graham. Stay tuned next week, for another wonderful author. Wednesday's Rant

Wednesday’s Rant
Welcome to Wednesday’s Rant brought to you by a Starbucks Mocha Frapp, my 9mm Beretta and the Law Office’s of Rebecca Joyce! (Warning…GRAPHIC LANGUAGE ALERT!)
First lets be very clear here people…I WRITE EROTIC ROMANCE BOOKS!
If you don’t like to read them, then don’t fucking buy them!!!
It has been brought to my attention that a fellow author is feeling the brunt of ridicule for her amazing talent as an Erotic Romance writer. While many readers look for the next new and upcoming author, and are eager to purchase such books, I find it amazing that ASSHOLES who probably can’t put two words together to make a coherent sentence, find time in their shitty boring day, to crap on people who only want to improve their lively hood by doing what they like. If it’s not personally interfering with your life, why do you give a fuck? I DON’T!

Not everyone has the talent, gumption or spirit to go out into this world and achieve their hearts desires, but for those of us who do…Well, the sky’s the limit! I applaud those who buck the system, in search of something better. They deserve praise, not scorn!
Just because I write Erotic scenes like, “FILL MY PUSSY WITH YOUR STIFF FAT COCK!” doesn’t mean I am any different from the bitch down the street who sells Avon, or Mary Kay. This Bitch just prefers a more stimulating way of making a little extra cash.
We are not millionaires, far from it. We have day jobs, families, lives that our Erotic lives never see. Don’t punish us for ability to weave tails and make you so fucking hot and horny all you can think about is fucking your husband, boyfriend or lover! Embrace it! Let’s us open your eyes to what is new, fun and very titillating! Because face it people, without SEX your asses would be here! Your momma and daddy had to do the nasty for you to be alive, where do you think they got their inspiration? It sure as hell wasn’t from a God damn Lifetime special!
Today, you can go to any book store and find books on murder, incest, rape, blood sucking vampires and my favorite… How to make a fucking bomb with simple kitchen items! Really…but Erotic Romance is BAD?
Erotic Romance has been around longer than your asses have been breathing, Hell, remember Sodom & Gomorrah? That’s in the bible for those who can’t read! A town full of fucking and crazy mothers…party central if you ask me!
Erotic Romance is a billion dollar a year industry that caters to all walks of life. We cover all your fantasies and with a click of a button, you can read your hearts desires, so don’t knock us if you have no fucking imagination, and they best you can do is lay down like a limp noodle while your significant other is probably wishing you HAD picked up that book that you were eyeing, but denied at the book store! Your non-existent sex-life is NOT our problem. Just cause we’re getting the dirty on, doesn’t give you the right to bitch! I know a good toy store down the road that sells some big dildo’s if you need one!
With that said, let me also enlighten you on one little thing…
WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIFE, LIBERTY & THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS!!!
So, the next time you feel the need to bitch, complain, shout to the rooftops, what vile fornicators we are, that we are corrupting the youth of America, or we are promoting pornography, incest or brutality, pick up a fucking book…ANY BOOK any book, read it and then we’ll listen to you. Till then…SHUT THE FUCK UP!

Saturday's Signature Author

Saturday’s Signature Author
 Laurie Roma
Welcome to the Saturday’s Signature Author blog-spot with the AWESOME LAURIE ROMA!!! With her first book, “Under Pressure- IAD Agency” heating up the literary world, the demand for Ms. Roma has been extraordinary. Still, she has found the time to sit down with me, so sit back, grab your coffee, and let’s welcome Ms. Laurie Roma!!!

Hi Rebecca! Thanks again for inviting me to be your super special Saturday Signature Author!!! :)

The feedback on Under Pressure has been amazing so far, and people seem to really love the agents of the IAD Agency. Each agent has their own story to tell and I will get around to them...please just be patient with me!
I am currently finishing up the second book of my IAD Agency series. *Spoiler alert!* The second book features IAD agent Tara Toshi, who has been such fun to write. It has been a pleasure watching her fall in love! The story is set in both Chicago and Las Vegas...and has more action, more intrigue and of course more hot passion than the first!
The IAD Agency series novels are all stand-alone stories, but it is highly recommended to read them in order to get the most enjoyment from the series!

Bio:
Laurie Roma lives in Chicago and is the author of the IAD series. She has always loved immersing herself in a good book and now enjoys the pleasure of creating her own. She can usually be found tapping away on her keyboard, creating worlds for her characters while she listens to music. Of course her playlist depends on her mood…but then again, so does her writing.      An avid reader of the romance genre, nothing bothers her more than annoying characters. Seriously, who wants a happy ending for someone that pisses you off? She loves tough alpha-male heroes and strong heroines that have brains as well as beauty. Her novels are filled with both passionate romance and down and dirty lust-driven interludes, as she believes both are essential to a good love story.

She loves to hear from her readers and can be reached at laurieromabooks@gmail.com.

Review:
TwoLips Reviews
Bella has returned to Chicago to be near family and try to move beyond the damage caused by her stalker. She has fought to regain her dignity as well as her joy in living. While appearing at a charitable function held by her best friend, she meets Jason. Jason is rich and to most appears emotionally cold. That changes when he meets Bella.
Bella makes Jason feel and he is unsure how to handle the uncontrollable emotions. However, he does know what to do when he learns that Bella's stalker has not been caught and is still after her. Will his efforts to protect Bella be too much for the woman just beginning to live again? Or will Bella be just what he needs to give him the family that he lost?
Under Pressure by Laurie Roma is first book in the IAD Agency series. Bella is a survivor. She has been hurt in ways that no woman should have to suffer. When she meets Jason she begins to take back bits of who she was. She feels safe with him and with his love begins to fight. Not just for him but also for herself and against her stalker. Jason has lived with his emotions under lock and key since the death of his family. He appears cold to those around him but that changes when Bella enters his life. He feels more than he is comfortable with but he is unwilling to let that stop him from basking in the love that is Bella.

Ms. Roma gave us a story in which both Bella and Jason were lost and found what they needed in each other. They were strong individuals who were willing to fight for love and respect. This is a wonderful new series by Ms. Roma. The men and women in this elite group look to be a great new collection of stories. They are all Alpha and I look forward to where Ms. Roma will take us.

STORY EXCERPT
Her screams stopped, turning into whimpers. Shudders wracked her body as she clawed her way from the dream back into reality. Bella’s breath came out in sharp gasps as she battled to force air into her lungs. She shoved the nightmare back, held onto the sound of his voice.        Jason.

She could smell him, the spicy, sexy scent of him, close. Offering safety. Gripping the body that held her close, she clung to him and buried her face into his neck, just breathing him in.

Son of a bitch.
Nothing could ever compare to the sheer terror Jason had felt when he had snapped awake to the sound of Bella’s screams. Reacting instantly, he wound his arms around her flailing body and held tight. The devastating pain he heard being ripped from her was utterly petrifying. Never had he flinched in battle, always a cool steady hand in every combat situation he had been in. None of that shit mattered right now.
Jason was terrified.
Right now Jason was shaking like a leaf in the wind, and he was chilled to the bone. Her pain, her anguish had become his own. The glimpse into her nightmares had destroyed him. Soothing words spilled from his lips. Unknowing what he said, as long as they gave her comfort.
For fuck’s sake, get it together, man.
It was still night. In the darkness, Jason pulled her chilled body against him. Wrapping himself around her, he ran his hands down her back, trying to will her pain away. Bella burrowed into him.
“I’m okay…I’m okay…” she repeated over and over. She was fighting the tears, determined to regain control. Minutes faded as she finally calmed. Deep embarrassment swamped her.
Whispering “I’m sorry,” she tried to pull back, putting a hand on his chest to push away. Muscles flexed beneath her hand, and she found herself trapped underneath the large body of a very pissed-off male.
In the moonlight, she could see his face, fierce and savagely beautiful. “Never, never apologize to me for having a nightmare,” Jason snapped in a cold, commanding voice.
“Umm—”
“I’m not finished.” His voice was as sharp as a knife. “I’ve things to say, and I will bloody well say them now. Never apologize for what that animal did to you. Let me be here for you, damn it. Don’t hide it from me. I will not accept you pulling away from me after that.”
He could hear the words that were spilling from his mouth, but he couldn’t seem to stop. Jesus, was he crazy?
He gulped in a deep breath and let it out slowly, trying to calm his own frantic heartbeat. “Christ, I’m sorry. I’m being an ass again. I dinna mean to snap at you. I don’t deal well with being…scared. Just let me hold you, love. I need to hold you. Please just let me be here for you.”
Bella wound her arms around him as he rolled over to his side, pulling her into his secure embrace. His body was rock solid, pure muscle wasn’t that comfortable to lay on, but the immense warmth of his body helped chase the last of the chill out of her body. His leg trapped hers, and he curled up as if he were trying to shelter her with his very being. Her head rested over his heart, listening to the strong powerful beat calmed her more than anything she had ever known. One of his hands came up to stroke her hair, and the other remained wrapped around her middle like steel, holding her to him.
“Bloody hell that was a bad one, wasn’t it?” He could feel her nod.
Jason held her tight to him, wanting to absorb her into his own body where he could keep her safe. “Don’t ever hide from me, okay? We can get through this together. You just have to let me help you. I handled this badly, but just know I want to be here for you. Love, I need you to let me.”
Bella turned and pressed a kiss directly over his heart. He in turn kissed the top of her head and pulled her closer. The heat of his body seeped in and melted the bitter cold she always felt when coming out of the nightmare. His protective embrace comforted her just like the reassurance given with his words. Time passed as she counted the beats of the strong heart beneath her head.
“Do you hear that?” His voice was soft, a deep rumbling of sound that touched her very soul.
She kissed his chest again. “What, your heart?”
“It beats for you now.”
Touched beyond belief, she felt hot tears slowly trickle out of her eyes to slide down to his chest. Her throat closed up, but she forced herself to give him the only thing back she could think of. “I heard you calling me,” she said softly. “You pulled me back, out of the nightmare. I just had to find you. I heard you, and I knew you would keep me safe. You…you make me feel safe.”
Jason felt his own eyes mist and closed them in defense. Jesus, what was wrong with him? Fuck, he loved her. Those words, so simple, so bravely spoken had torn down the last of his defenses. Bella’s eyes fluttered closed again, words slurring with exhaustion as she burrowed into his heat. “I need you. I hate needing you so much. Hold me until I sleep? Don’t let go, okay?”
“Never,” he vowed, pressing a kiss on the top of her precious head. “I’ll never let go.”  Well folks, there ya have it! Ms. Laurie Roma herself and her first book, "UNDER PRESSURE". All I can say folks, if you haven't bought this book yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!! GO GET IT!!!Till next time, KEEP READING! Rebecca Joyce

On ghost territory in tropical Queensland they come up against more than they bargain for−close encounters with the ghosts, a gathering of the ghost clan, and a matriarch with attitude, to say nothing of the feisty Gabriella who they have both fallen for before they realize she’s one of the enemy.
Gabriella in turn finds herself torn between loyalty to her family and her love for two men from the enemy clan who are threatening to kill those she loves. As prophesized they are each faced with a choice that will either help end the curse or ensure it reverberates through generations to come. Will revenge or love triumph?

Jarrod and Jesse Tremain are extraordinary men even before Becc Morton discovers their secret. Working with their father to try to save the Tasmanian Devil from extinction in the remote wilds of Tasmania, Australia, Becc find she is instantly attracted to them both, as they are to her.
But the Destroyers, a group descended from the False Vampire Bats, threaten both Becc’s and her men’s future happiness as well as the survival of the Were-Devil species. A curse from love gone wrong two generations earlier looks like it may be reenacted as the Seer’s stones tell of an uncertain future.
Racing against time, a secret from Becc’s past threatens them all, and the Were-Devil brothers are given a choice, as the prophecy foretells. Will they make the right choice, and can they save their father and still both have a future with Becc?

Investigative journalist Stephanie Beauman takes an undercover job helping dangerously attractive Jeffrey Caroway make a documentary on the glamorous International Grand Prix circuit, only to find that former lover Gabriel de Romanos is now an owner of the Argentinean team.
Gabriel will stop at nothing to win both the championship and Stephanie, and sees French driver Jean
Luc as the biggest obstacle to both. Jeffrey, having already rejected her once, now seems intent to keeping an eye on her as they race toward the glittering climax at the new Texas Circuit of the Americas.
Stephanie’s uncovering of murder and corruption involving both Jeffrey and Gabriel puts her own and Jean-Luc’s lives at risk. She must decide who she can trust and who she loves, but will it be too late to save Jean-Luc and find happiness?

The second of three novels in the Stephanie Beauman series takes the investigative journalist from New York, where she is recovering from the end of her affair with Gabriel, to France and Spain. Producer Jeffrey Carroway is making a film on the Camino de Santiago—the famous pilgrims' walk—and Stephanie has a tip-off that he is planning to buy himself an Academy Award.
Stephanie joins the film crew and finds more than she bargained for when things start going wrong on set.
Sabotage, bribery, and artistic integrity are all in the mix as Stephanie finds herself attracted to the charismatic Carroway, deals with the attentions of the director Paolo and handsome actor Damian Croft, tries to work out why the location manager is keeping such a close eye on her, and wonders whether she will ever truly escape Gabriel.

Opening her eyes again as Miguel continued to kiss her neck and shoulders with a warm, insistent mouth, she saw Gabriel had leaned forward a little, into the light, watching her, her reactions, the suggestion of her nakedness before him. Through the shadows she stared back, daring him to stop her, daring him not to want her.
New York journalist Stephanie Beauman goes undercover in Sydney, Australia, to investigate a corrupt business deal, taking a job as hostess for enigmatic businessman Gabriel de Romanos.
Initially confident, and with groundsman Reno as her ally, she is drawn into a world of high-stakes business, wine, social excess, and murder. As she accompanies de Romanos between Australia and Argentina, he and his suave rival Miguel involve her in their business and sexual games. Stephanie is forced to take increasing risks and finally to choose between her story and her own desire.

Wednesday's Rants

Welcome to Wednesday's Rants brought to you by, 400mg of Motrin, a heating pad and a pulled muscle! Ouch!

Yeah folks, that's right, somehow, don't know how, or when but I can tell ya it friggin hurts! Somewhere in the middle of my back right under my left shoulder blade, I have pulled a muscle, that is not only effecting the way I sit, walk, and move, but it's now beginning to mess with my neck! So yeah, close your eyes and picture Quasimodo and him saying..."Yez Master" as he drags one foot along, hunched over in pain and that's ME!!! Total gimp/mother of the friggin year and in pain.

Of course, you would think having two teenage boys, a pre-teen daughter and a husband (who is legally obligated to love me) that they would help their poor, hurting mother/wife out, right? NOPE! Last night my teens wanted to know when dinner was gonna be done, the pre-teen wanted to know if I was still gonna take her to the mall, and the husband (you remember, the one LEGALLY OBLIGATED to love me) yeah, well he ran out of beer mid way threw some friggin college basketball game, and asked me to go get him more! Are you friggin kiddin' me, I can barely hold my head up on my shoulders but hold on...I'll cook dinner, drive ya to the mall and get you another case of fuckin beer!

Now don't get me wrong, I love my kids (Only because I am biologically supposed to!) but I am seriously beginning to fear for their future spouses! As for the Husband (the one Legally Obligated to love & care for me) yeah, well...He had the bright idea of Stretching & Exercising the muscle (and NO I am NOT talking about in the pleasurable way!) That brings me to another point, My hubby, not only is he the Temperature Police, he is also a KNOW-IT-ALL!!! The guy takes one...count em' 1, ONE, Health & Fitness Class and he is fucking Dr. Spock! (God please help me!)

So picture this...I am on the floor (don't ask how I got down there, that is still a blur) and Hubby has me doing Yoga moves that are humanly IMPOSSIBLE to do! My favorite was when my 210 pound husband decided to put his weight on my back (cause it helps relieve the pressure, he says!) Oh yeah, if I could have reached my gun, I would have been a widow last night! Needless to say...my Genius Husband only made it worse, but he IS THE EXPERT, so I went along with it. So after my torturous yoga experience, my beautiful neighbor decides she has the perfect remedy...Her medicine Cabinet!

OMG! Love my neighbor, but since I never take anything stronger than Motrin or Tynonal, I quickly refused, but did accept a Lidocaine Patch, that is supposed to numb the area for up to 12 hours...Yeah...that's still sitting on the kitchen counter.

So, with Thanksgiving one day away, and lots of baking on the agenda for today, I have no other option but to buck up and deal with it...cause we all know, those damn cookies & pies wont cook themselves and if the Turkey isn't in the oven by 6am tomorrow morning there will be a small rebellion in my future. Alas, that is the only option for a mother/wife...oh, and don't forget the Alcohol!

Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving Everyone!

Free-spirited, voluptuous Shay Mathews isn’t afraid to strut her stuff and live life on the edge. But when she crashes her car then wakes up slung over the back of a hot, naked man, she thinks she’s either hallucinating or dead.    Werewolves Rosh and Renkon McClain and Walker Ramirez fall for the feisty Shay and want her to stay with them in a mystical world for supernatural beings, but she’s set her mind on getting back to the real world outside the secluded paradise of The Hidden. Not heeding her lovers’ warnings, Shay is abducted by the leader of the wretched creatures called The Cursed to become his mate.

Can they find her before she’s changed by The Cursed? If they’re too late, will they be forced to kill her, thus saving her from a life of misery?

***TEASER TIME***  SHAY SPINS OFF THE ROAD        She glanced around and saw the tracks her car had made in the road as it had spun around and into the forest. She’d gotten lucky that her car hadn’t careened off the side of the mountain. Gathering her wits, she decided that she had four choices. She could stay inside the car and wait for help to come. But she wasn’t the type to wait, and who know how long it would be before someone came along. She could walk back to the motel. She wasn’t sure how long it would take, but at least once there she’d get dry and warm. Scanning the road back the way she’d come, she weighed her chances of walking up the icy road with its steep incline. She doubted she could make it without losing her footing and either breaking a bone or slipping off the edge and plummeting to her death. Should she start walking downhill? But going downhill was as slippery as going uphill, and she knew it would take her hours before she’d make it to the first rest stop that had a gas station. She turned and faced the woods. Could she make it very far in the forest? Once she’d taken that route, she’d have little chance that anyone would find her. Not that anyone was looking. Willa and Bill would assume she’d made it off the mountain and wouldn’t check on her. Only Tatum knew she was headed home, and if she didn’t show up in two days, Tee would simply assume that she’d taken another detour. Weeks would have to pass before Tee grew worried enough to raise an alarm. She rubbed her arms, fighting against the chill creeping into her bones, and made her choice. At least if she made it downhill, she had a chance of running into someone. She’d just have to keep moving and hope that would keep her warm enough until she found help. Shay took a step toward the road then stopped at the crashing sound that came from directly behind her. Whirling around, she stared, alarm clogging her throat. Could it be the Thing I saw on the road? A small fawn broke through the trees and slammed to a stop. Its huge black eyes fixed on her, looking as stunned as she felt. The fawn’s light brown coat was dotted with dark spots. It was a vision of wilderness beauty against the pristine backdrop of the snow-covered trees. A giggle escaped as relief swamped her. The Thing? Drama queen much? What next? The creature from Alien? Get a grip, girl. A fawn was better than confronting the Thing in the road. She smiled and forgot about the pain in her forehead for the first time since running into the trees. But her joy was short lived as a dark movement to the right and back of the fawn caught her attention. Was that the Thing? Or something even worse? A vision of the glowing eyes and the long fangs froze her. Warning bells clanged in her head to get back into the car, and yet she stayed where she was. After everything that had happened, after everything she’d seen and done in the past few days, she couldn’t stomach the idea of the fawn dying a terrible death. “No way, no how. I am not going to let whatever it is hurt you,” she whispered. Searching around her, she found a large branch that, for one reason or another, wasn’t covered with snow. She moved slowly, carefully, and picked it up then hefted it, judging its weight. Hoping that the fawn could sense she was on her side, she lifted the branch over her head and circled the car. The Thing in the underbrush moved again and growled. Shay sucked in her gasp, rethought her idea, then forged ahead. It’s probably a rabbit. Yeah, like rabbits growl all the time. Making a semicircle through the snow, she worked her way toward the brush, putting herself behind the predator. Once in position behind a large tree, she waited for it to move closer to the fawn. If she hadn’t thought it impossible, she would’ve guessed that the fawn was fascinated and knew what she had planned. The branch was heavy and its bark bit into her skin, but she held it firmly over her head, ready to react. Everything happened at once. She saw the brush shaking as the animal broke through its branches and dashed toward the fawn. The fawn jumped into the air then spun around to bolt into the forest. As a large wolf rushed out of the forest, she brought down the branch as fast and as hard as she could. Her vision blurred in the same moment that she hit the animal. Shockwaves shuddered through her arms and she dropped the branch. Shit. Unable to control her body, she fell forward, darkness overcoming her.   Well folks there you have, your Teaser for Shay's Shifter's by Jane Jamison.
