Cover Reveal – Four Years Later by Monica Murphy
Name: Four Years Later (Drew + Fable, #4)
Author: Monica Murphy
Release Date: February 2014
Synopsis (may change):
Guilt. That is all I ever feel when I think about my mom. Now she’s back in my life, always wanting something. Having her around makes it so easy for me to fall into those bad habits that get me into trouble. Skipping class, smoking weed, fooling around with girls that mean nothing to me…I’m messing up. The last thing I need is my sister on my case.
So I keep my mom’s return a secret. But promising I’ll get my grades back up on my own isn’t enough. Fable makes me see a tutor. And Chelsea is the smartest girl I’ve ever met. She’s definitely not my type but there’s something about her that I’m drawn to. She’s sweet, she’s shy and she seems completely immune to my usual moves.
Chelsea has her own secrets and she’s not talking. Like I have any room to judge. How can I get her to open up to me? And will I ever be able to convince her that what we have could be something real?

Back to possible paperback covers
Well, I knew the moon wasn’t exactly related to the book, so I’ve just been scouring the internet for images that do relate and found an awesome black wolf. I also found a nice picture of some monochrome (I’m sticking to a theme, or so it seems) woods, they’re quite a big part of being a wolf; hunting and all that.
I just don’t know what to put on the cover. If you can come up with something, feel free to let me know. But so far, here are the covers I’ve done:
Moon?
Black Wolf?
Monochrome Forest?
Which do we prefer? If any?

Book Review – Lash
Name: Lash (Broken Angel, #1)
Author: L.G Castillo
Genre: New Adult, Paranormal Romance
Release Date: 1st May 2013
Rating: DNF
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Decades after being banished from Heaven for saving a life he shouldn’t have, Lash is given a chance to redeem himself. His mission: protect Naomi Duran, a young woman who has lost her faith. The assignment proves to be anything but simple when his superiors, the Archangels, withhold key information about Naomi and refuse to restore Lash’s powers. When an unexpected source reveals centuries-old secrets, his trust is shaken to the core, and he begins to doubt those whom he had once considered to be his greatest allies.
Determined to avoid anything that would risk his chances of returning to Heaven, Lash struggles with the greatest obstacle of all—his growing feelings for Naomi. But when her life is threatened by an unknown source, Lash questions the wisdom of the Archangels and his ability to keep her safe.
Soon, Lash will have to choose where to place his faith—in the home he has fought so hard to regain or in the forbidden love he can’t bear to lose.
I’ve had this on my to-be-read shelf for a long time on Goodreads before I saw it on NetGalley so I kinda jumped at the chance to review it. Maybe I had high expectations or something but I just couldn’t really get into it. The writing style was hard for me to gel with and I just found myself getting a bit bored with the storyline.
Then there was the fact that something happened in Naomi’s life–something major–and we didn’t actually find out about it until after, which confused me a bit as I had no idea what the family was so upset about, and therefore I had no feelings about it.
This just wasn’t up my street at all but that doesn’t mean it was bad. If you like the sound of it, then try it.

Paperback Cover?
I’ve just been messing around on CreateSpace and came up with this design for the front Cover of Cat’s Wolf. I’m not entirely convinced that I like it, but at the same time I do. Maybe it’s because it’s so different from the original cover?
Just wondered what you guys thought? Like? or Not?

Fight Scenes
I am rubbish at writing fight scenes (as some of you may have seen/thought in the first one (Cat’s Wolf)) but I have a feeling I’m going to be writing a few in Wolf Claimed. In fact I’m writing one right now and so far so good. That’s not to say it wont go downhill soon (fingers crossed that doesn’t happen :S)
I’m hoping this story will read a bit more exciting than the last, as I know the ending was a let down for some of you. It was my first story that required combat/fighting and I hoped I’ve picked up a few things since then and this will be more entertaining on that front at least.
Unfortunately I cant copy it into the post because then it will spoil the plot-line…
Ciao for now

Tim O’Rourke
I’ve decided to go for something a little different with my Kindle reading this time and gone for Witch by Tim O’Rourke. This will be my second book by him and I’m looking forward to it, if it’s anything like the other one, Vampire Seeker/Cowgirls & Vampires, which I gave 5 stars.
Synopsis:
Twenty-year-old Sydney Hart has always made mistakes and when she meets Michael Grayson, she soon comes to wonder if she hasn’t made the biggest mistake of her life. That one moment of passion between them causes Sydney’s world to spiral rapidly out of control.
Suffering from nightmares, Sydney soon realises her life and the people closest to her aren’t who or what she believed them to be. Fearing she has been cursed, Sydney attempts to unravel the dark secrets that surround her, and is desperate to discover why a dying man called her ‘Witch’.
A racy, paranormal romance with a chilling twist.

Synopsis:
Samantha Carter believes that a vampire is responsible for the brutal deaths of four women in Whitechapel, London, England. Each murder is identical to those committed a hundred years before by a very different serial killer.
Desperate to prove the killer’s identity, Samantha follows him onto a late night tube train. But Samantha doesn’t reach the next station and finds herself on a very different journey, where she discovers vampires are very real and far more dangerous than she had ever imagined. To stay alive, Samantha needs to figure out why things have gone so terribly wrong for her – and more importantly, why she is out of time?
‘Vampire Seeker’ is Book One in the Samantha Carter Series.

I will certainly be keeping an eye out for more of his work on Amazon because he is a great author and you should definitely check him out if you like the sound of his work.

A Poll
I don’t know why I keep thinking on this, but I do.
My mum breaks the spine on books when she reads them while I always support it, so it doesn’t break. My bookshelf full of books looks almost like they’ve never been read, apart from the ones that were previously owned when I bought them.
So I just thought I’d ask this to see if I’m a little crazy for how I treat my books or whether I’m not alone.
Take Our Poll
P.S. And it turned out the book I had to read for today ended up as a DNF. It started off good but then I got a little bored and I was 34% in.

I lied, there’s one more ARC
I was sent an email last night telling me I was allowed to review a title I requested a while ago, Heavy Metal, so there will be one more review. The only problem is it’s being archived tomorrow, so I’m going to have to read, read, read today to get it finished. Fingers crossed I get it done, though.
I don’t think I can cope with another late night like last night after reading Fallen Too Far until 1am and then getting up at 7:45…ugh. Totally worth it though. If you haven’t read it yet, then you totally should. It is awesome. Just have some tissues at the ready because I was a mess when I finished it this morning; crying like a baby.

A Break…
…from a couple of things.
One: ARC’s. I haven’t requested any new ones from NetGalley in an attempt to try and work my way through the list of books on my Kindle. The number is still in the 700′s and though I have cut down on buying new one’s it still happens every so often when I cant resist a book that’s price has reduced that’s on my wish-list. If you are on GoodReads you can view my list here. If not, then I’m sure you can imagine how long it is.
Two: Wolf Claimed. It’s kinda hit a bit of a brick-wall. I’m sure it’ll all come back to me soon but for the time being it’s on hold. Instead I’m concentrating on other stories and working my way through both my paperbacks and kindle stories (one of each at a time). Finger’s crossed I’ll have good news for you in the next blog post.
Ciao for now

Demon Trappers Series
Look what’s just arrived in the post. Ebay can be a Godsend sometimes when you want books. These were cheaper (they’re brand new) than on Amazon and they’re only £3.85 each on there.
I just need Foretold now, the final book in the quartet, and I’m sorted.
I so need to know what’s going to happen between Riley, Simon, Beck and Ori.
I’m routing for Beck though!!
