Donna Del Oro’s dream since childhood (when she used to create her own comic books and share them with her friends) has been to write fiction. Escaping the humdrum of ordinary life always seemed to her an ideal form of self-entertainment. Better than TV and even better than some books! As soon as she retired from high school teaching (which was a suspenseful adventure in itself), Donna turned to fiction writing. Becoming a member of the RWA and Sisters in Crime has helped her to learn the craft and focus on what she needed to do to get published.
Besides writing Chica Lit, she writes romantic suspense and thrillers. THE DELPHI BLOODLINE is a hybrid thriller about the present-day descendants of an ancient bloodline of women with extraordinary psychic powers and how they must fight against enslavement by a ruthless high-tech tycoon.

Claire can’t remember a time when writing wasn’t part of her life. Growing up, she used to write stories with her friends. As a teenager she started out reading fantasy and science fiction, but her diet quickly changed to romance and happily-ever-after’s. A native of Massachusetts and cold weather, she left all that behind to move to the sun and fun of California, but has always lived no more than twenty miles from the ocean.
In college she studied acting with a minor in creative writing. In hindsight she should have flipped course studies. Before she was published, she sold books on eBay and discovered some of her favorite authors by sampling the goods, which was the perfect solution. Claire has many book-irons in the fire, most notably her urban fantasy series, The Elementals’ Challenge series, but writes contemporary and shifter romances as well as.
While she’s not a movie mogul or actor, she does work in the film industry with her office firmly situated in the 90210 district of Hollywood. Prone to break out into song, she is quick on feet and just as quick with snappy dialogue. In addition to writing she does animal rescue, reads, and goes to movies. She loves to hear from fans, so feel free to drop her a line.

Book Review Plans for 2020
It’s been a long time since I’ve written anything from my own perspective on here. I had Baby Jack in December and it’s been super tough to get used to life with a newborn. However, the thing that has finally made me feel like myself was reading.
Yesterday I got a surprise package from Waterstones. It was a book I had pre-ordered. I hadn’t done that forever and to be honest, I hadn’t had a lot of time to read even before I had Jack.
So I’ve started reading My Dark Vanessa that I plan on finishing for this month and writing a book review for. Things I haven’t done in a long long time.
But, as I was reading, I was thinking how I could read a book a month now that Jack sleeps or plays on his own for a few minutes and I don’t need to be on a whirlwind of feeding schedules and extreme fatigue (although that is definitely still a reality some days).
My hope is to buy a new release each month and review it.
So far I have a list of:
My Dark Vanessa April 2020
Hunger Games Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes May 2020
All Eyes on Her June 2020
I like contemporary, I like thrillers, I like young adult books. Does anyone have any suggestions for me for the rest of the year?
What are some of your pre-ordered books for 2020?
