HUMAN-SHAPED 'HISSING' SHADOW Encountered by West Virginia Boy

On the first night in their new house and bedroom, two brothers hear someone knocking on the sliding glass door. When opened, a human-shaped shadow is there and hisses on them.

The following account was forwarded to me:

“I don't know how to explain it. I wanted to get your take and ask you what you think I saw. It's been over 20 years ago now. My family had relocated to St. Albans, West Virginia. There are so many little details, that I'm going to try to cram it all into one message here.

Back when I was in the 4th grade, my family relocated to St. Albans, West Virginia and we lived, kind of at the end of a cul de sac and if you can imagine, kind of place where you are driving in this very quiet neighborhood and on the right-hand side, the houses were on flat land. On the left-hand side, there were about four houses that were down over on a hillside and it was just a continuous drop off this hillside. The houses were on stilts. That was one of our houses.

Our first night there, it was at the end of the summer and it was probably around 9:00 PM when this happened. The sun was going down but it's still light enough to where you still kind of see the outline of things. But it was dark enough to not see kind of what was standing out in front of you. My older brother and I shared a room and there was a sliding glass door that went out to a deck that was, of course, on stilts. If you were to walk out on this deck and look over, I mean it's just a straight drop. I mean if you jump off this thing, you would, at least, break your legs and your back or probably worse.

So, our first night there, we're getting ready for bed and the blinds are kind of tilted open a little bit and I heard a knock on the sliding glass door and my brother says, 'Who's that?' And I said, 'Hey, it's the kid from next door.' We had just met earlier that day. That's what it looked like from the outline. I propped the blinds to the side to look at this person. I couldn't make the person out. There was a body. I mean the person was standing right in front of me but it was just completely dark. The person was just a shadow because I could not see who it was just because it was so dark outside.

So when I opened the blinds and saw the thing, it hissed at me and put its hands up like it was making claw marks like it was imitating a cat and it hissed at me. Then, it took a couple of steps back, looked at me again, got a running start, and completely hurdled the railing on the deck. And that was it. I really didn't think much of it at the time. I keep thinking what was that on the deck that night? And, I mean, it's crazy and freaky when I think about it. I just get chills, man. It doesn't sound normal.” J

I feel that intelligent non-human species reside on planet Earth. I have not recognized these alien species living among us, but I believe this theory is entirely possible.
In the summer of 2008, I started talking to David Eckhart who was a proclaimed experiencer. He lived in a large home in a wooded area near Pensacola, Florida that he described as his 'dream home.' The house had a beautiful wood interior with cathedral ceilings and lots of room for his family. David was a successful carpenter and contractor who wanted nothing more than to reap the rewards of years of hard work and enjoy life.
But, for some unknown reason, he and his family were chosen to witness a world within our own. In our first conversation, David repeated a story he had previously told other people, including NUFORC and MUFON investigators. I had heard similar scenarios in the past, but there was something different about David's saga, which struck a chord in me.
Over the past 15 years, I have been privy to videos, audio, screencaps, and other evidence that David has provided to me. His incredible story of countless abductions and home invasions by these beings has been presented in several radio interviews. As well, I have uploaded videos and photographs to my blog to gauge the reaction of the paranormal community. Overall, the reception has been somewhat mixed, but that was expected.
So, David put his faith in me and I did the same with him and we waited. I had decided not to post further details of David's encounters and evidence, to back off, to wait and see what happens. Well, as a result of the research, David's story has been told through multiple media interviews and presented on several television programs. I wrote an entire chapter about David's saga in my book ' Alien Disclosure: Experiencers Expose Reality.'
But David's ordeal is only one of many alien encounters and abduction accounts that have originated on Florida's Gulf Coast. So, please listen to the following accounts I have received from witnesses who recall their encounters, and then decide for yourself. I hope that you enjoy the presentation.

HUGE CRYPTID BIRD Observed Flying Over Tuscarora Mountain, Pennsylvania

A large winged creature was seen north of US 30, 2 miles east of Fort Loudon, PA, and near the top of Tuscarora Mountain. The witness thought it was a hang glider until it flapped its wings.

I recently received the following account from a Phantoms & Monsters Radio listener:

"I was driving west on US 30 (Lincoln-Way West) approximately 2 miles east of Fort Loudon,, Pennsylvania. Looking to my right/north, maybe 1 mile north of US 30, flying south, low along the top of Tuscarora Mountain, what I thought to be a hang glider (there was a hang glider launch just south of US 30 on top of the mountain).

About the amount of time, it took me to think, it’s gliding very close to the tree tops. It flapped its wings, gaining 30 -40 feet of elevation, and made a swooping 180-degree descending turn to the mountain's opposite side and out of sight.

It was large enough to be mistaken for a hang glider at the range of 2 to 3 miles. I thought it was a glider until it started to flap its wings. This occurred in 1987" FB

NOTE: This area is known for various cryptid and unexplained sightings and encounters, especially Bigfoot and, on 2 occasions, black-eyed kids (in the Cowans Gap State Park). The mountain is located in Fulton & Franklin Counties in South-Central Pennsylvania. Lon

LION-LIKE CREATURE & UFO Appear at Same Location Near Auburn, Alabama

A retired security guard describes 2 incidents at the same location but a month apart. First, he sees an African lion-like creature cross the road. Then he later sees a triangular UFO.

I received the following account:

“I want to share something with you. I'm 71 years old and I've done a lot of security guard work. I go to work about 9:00 o'clock at night when I was working and there's just one stretch of road in Alabama that it's like - you're gonna think I'm nuts. I've always been kind of a believer but I never really seen something so solid, but I saw these three lights and I thought it was a guy with an ultra-light who lived not far from there. He had an ultra-light in the field. I said, what is this idiot doing out in with an ultra-light at night because it's about 9:30, at night.

Well, it kept coming and I slowed down. I never stopped and it went over me and there were these three lights and it was about the size of an ultra-light but there was no sound and it was about as high up as two telephone poles above me. It went right on across me and just drifted off out of sight.

At that same spot about a month before, I had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting what I thought was a dog but it was huge. It had like a lion's mane but the rest was kind of more like a dog, kinda like that thing you've seen on YouTube where that guy dresses his dog up like a lion and scares people. He was coming from the same direction as this triangular thing was but a month or so before. He just crossed the road and went on up to the fence on the other side and just disappeared to the south so I don't know if it's one place that something's coming out of there or just that's where my body chose to shut down and I went totally insane. I could never tell anybody. There was nothing there but the sky, a dark, black sky with these three lights. I told a couple of people. I don't know, I told a couple of people when I got to work what I saw but they know I'm crazy and then they thought I was nuts.

And the creature, whatever it was, it was like twice the size of, I guess it was like a big St. Bernard or something. And it looked at me and just went on across the road up to the fence and then it was gone. And this all happened in the exact same spot on this road. I know where it was and I don't if it is correlated but at about the same time of night I was on my way to work because I had a schedule I had to keep. I live about 250 miles from there now. I live down on the Gulf Coast. This happened in the middle of the state, not far from Auburn, Alabama.” B

Possible RED-EYED MOTHMAN Encountered by Law Enforcement in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania

A group of New York law enforcement officers were traveling through Clearfield County, PA when they encountered a red-eyed winged humanoid on the highway.

I received the following account:

"Hello, sir. First off, I've been a New York State Trooper for 23 years. My story happened off-duty. I've seen plenty of weird stuff while on the road. Lots of it is people mostly.

The weirdest one I saw was in the summer of 2023 on my way back from a conference in Virginia to Buffalo, NY. I had 4 guys, all law enforcement, with me in my SUV. We were traveling in Pennsylvania, on the crazy 219/322/80 route, probably near Dubois/Clearfield. If you don't know the route, it's highways mixed with local country roads, but roads you're driving 65 MPH on. And still in the middle of nowhere.

It was late, maybe midnight or 1 am, and just me and another guy in the backseat were awake. I was driving with the houses on my right, and woods on the left, in the middle of a heavily wooded area. There are no streetlights, so it's pitch black except for my headlights. I saw this enormous figure swoop over the car about 10 feet up. I caught enough of it in the headlights that it looked humanoid and had a brown hairy body, but the wings and size were massive. Not like a bird, but like a giant bat or a flying dog, if the dog was a mastiff/short hair. And the eyes were red.

I saw it, and my brain registered it. And I looked around and couldn't see any more, because I was going fast enough. As I looked around, I just heard my friend's voice really calmly from the back say, "I saw it too."

I just got a chill and kept driving but we didn't say anything more until we got home. One of my friends later told me that it was probably the Mothman, and I'd have to say that that could probably be the closest thing. I saw something that WASN'T a bird, and my friend saw it too.

So now when I drive through the no-man's land of Pennsylvania, I keep an eye out for whatever the hell that thing was." HW

PHOTO: Was SPIRIT ENERGY Captured Leaving Crash Victim's Body?

The photo supposedly captured the apparition of spirit energy rising from a body, not long after a fatal motorcycle crash. Is it authentic? I will note that 2 psychic medium associates have told me that the photo is the real deal. What do you think?

STANTON, KY. – A chilling photo taken at the scene of a fatal motorcycle crash in Kentucky is getting a lot of attention online.

According to Lex 18 News, the crash occurred in Powell County, Kentucky on Tuesday evening around 5:30 p.m. A motorcyclist was seriously injured after crashing on Highway 15 near Stanton. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Saul Vazquez of Mount Sterling, Kentucky witnessed the photo while in his truck. He took a picture of the accident and then noticed something unusual about it.

“Zoom in and pay attention to the shadow just off the top of the state trooper hat. All I say is I hope everyone involved is okay!!” wrote Vazquez in the Facebook post.

The photo has been shared over 3,800 times since Vazquez posted it less than a day ago. Many people believe the photo shows the motorcycle driver’s spirit leaving his body. Regardless, it’s certainly sparking a lot of conversation on social media.

Vazquez told Lex 18 News that the picture has not been altered. FOX59 also reached out to the photographer for comment, but we have not heard back from him at this time. - Chilling photo from fatal crash appears to show man’s spirit leaving his body

EXPERIENCER: 'I'm Enjoying My ALIEN ENCOUNTERS'

A Texas woman describes, in detail, her alien experience since she was a child. She says that she looks forward to subsequent encounters. Be careful about what you wish for!

"My first experience happened when I was a child living in a small town in Texas in a house on a few acres of land for horses and cattle. My adoptive family was very Christian and thus I had a very strict upbringing. They didn't believe in a lot of things other than God. I wasn't allowed to watch very much television. Programming was very restricted and anything racey was completely out of the question. So isolated from the outside world I naively thought that people actually broke out in song and dance in the real world like I'd seen on the many musicals we watched. Funny, huh? Cute? Maybe. But my point is that I'd never heard of nor seen anything about UFOs or aliens before in my life. Until one night I found myself out in the field standing in front of a spaceship.

I was in my nightgown and there was a being in front of me - behind it stood the open hatch of a light-filled door. I do not remember how I got there or back inside. I have also forgotten what, if anything, was said or done to me at that time. When I spoke about it I was reprimanded harshly and told I had an over-active imagination and it was only a dream. When I insisted on repeating my story I was punished. I didn't understand why it upset them so much when I said Jesus came down in a UFO. I don't know if that is actually what I saw or what I related it to be as far as my understanding of things at the time. They demanded to know where I'd seen such a thing and the little television I was allowed to watch became much smaller to the point where to mention what had happened only brought negative consequences. So I stopped talking about it, and subsequently, its details were gone, buried inside my mind like priceless treasure awaiting retrieval. Despite this fact, it remains forever in my memory.

One night in early 2004, I was home alone at my apartment in Houston, Texas. As usual, I fell asleep on the couch in front of the television. Shortly after drifting off I awoke feeling frightened, like I was in danger of some sort, and felt a strong urge to check and make sure the front door was locked. It was, so I laid back down and fell asleep once more. Suddenly, it seemed, I was again awake in my living room. However, I was now upright gliding seamlessly across the floor. I looked down realizing that I was not walking but instead floating towards my bathroom. Upon this realization I also recognized that I was not asleep and was consciously thinking to myself, I am floating! A series of emotions ran through me, confusion, fear, as well as excitement as to what was happening to me. But these feelings were tempered and although I didn't understand why I felt helpless to do anything to stop it. The bathroom was cold and dark, visibility possible due to the dim light coming from the plug-in by the sink. Although I have no memory of putting the toilet seat down, I found myself sitting on it confused.

I thought to myself, what am I doing here? As I looked up there in front of me was what is commonly known as a Grey. It was standing slightly taller than me as I sat, staring at me stoically with its huge, unblinking eyes. Startled, my regretful reaction was to raise my hand up as if to hit it. My arm was instantly and simultaneously stopped and lowered in a series of short jerks. I immediately thought it was controlling my body, and shortly thereafter realized that although I should have felt more afraid. I wasn't. I then thought to myself, it has subdued my emotions as well. It felt as if I had been drugged but was wide awake. I felt a little giddy about what was happening. As a matter of fact, I didn't mind at all and was eager to submit myself to the experience. This is when I found myself wishing I hadn't reacted in fear and raised my hand to it. But it was happening all so fast and I was not in the least bit in control of the situation. I did not verbally speak nor did it, but I remember thinking it knew exactly what I was thinking and preceded with its agenda with astute purpose. I recall getting into the bathtub for some reason but my memory after that is vague and muddled. I presume this is when it performed whatever experiment or procedure it came to do.

When I awoke the sun was starting to come up. I was oddly lying flat on my back with the covers tucked neatly, carefully under my arms. My chest was beaded with a wet necklace of huge round drops of sweat, and my arms were riddled with goosebumps. I instantly felt a rush of fear and excitement and also oddly a bit sad as well. My memories were indeed confirmed by the way I found myself. I am a notoriously bad sleeper and because of a painful back injury and never sleep prone. I had a real sense of missing time and felt a bit groggy. When I went to the bathroom everything seemed in place outside of the fact that the shower curtain was not only pulled back completely but wet as well. And of course, the toilet seat was still down. There were spots of blood in my panties and it hurt to urinate. Left only with this most vivid memory that I wanted to share but found often that when I did it only brought odd silence and strange looks, assurances that it was only a dream. But it was not a dream.

Throughout this experience, I was consciously thinking. The details do not fade and it has not been forgotten like any dream I've ever had. Not even when I showed what I felt proof was I believed. In the big toe of my right foot, I have an implant. There is no visible scar nor has it ever been painful. It is it seems right under the skin because its shape can be felt and the skin slightly raised however it will not move. I am curious about the implant but do not want it removed. I believe that they are coming back for me to do some kind of doctor-like follow-up. I have been looking ever so forward to it. This experience left me with no lasting effects but feeling special, chosen, if you like, for some purpose unknown.

Almost ten years passed when, once again, they came to me while I was lying in bed watching television. That familiar feeling suddenly swept over me. I felt like I should check the door. Excited, I slowly got up trying to be completely aware and careful not to make, what I felt like, the same mistake of reacting with any kind of fear or noncompliance so that I might fully have this experience. I wanted to try to communicate and interact with it this time. I opened the door to the starless, midnight sky overhead. Looking out over the pond that usually held the shimmering reflection of the moon pictured on its surface but tonight it lay empty and still, dark and menacing. I closed the door and was swiftly overtaken and found myself immediately back in bed. I felt a surge of adrenaline as a green light enveloped me and suddenly had a strong sense of deja vu. I was once again consciously thinking to myself that it was absolutely happening again. I had it in my mind as to how long ago the prior experience had taken place but was quickly becoming overwhelmed with the numbing effect of the light, its fluorescent color made me think to myself jokingly about being in the "limelight" so to speak.

This experience was a bit different, it all seemed to happen at once, quickly. Space and time were blurred in the limited confines of my travel trailer. All at once I was frozen, stuck in an odd, contorted fetal position. The room was so bright, lit with the huge picture of the television that took up almost the whole wall in front of the bed along with jade, radiating in an arc around me on the bed like some strange, stifling blanket. As it dissipated and shrank, I cautiously began to move, my neck stiff and slightly sore from the way my head had been turned. Even though it all seemed instantaneous, I knew a lot of time had passed because the program I had begun watching was not only over but it was well into a show scheduled hours later. Sitting up, awestruck by it all, filled with wonder and hope, I just smiled. Left wondering when, if ever, they will come again and hoping they will. Soon." S

UPRIGHT CANINE or WEREWOLF Terrorized Southwest Florida Neighborhood

In this older report, the witness states that she and her friends/family experienced a series of strange and unusual events. I have been asked not to divulge the name of the community and specific area but I will say that the general area has had a very high number of unexplained incidents over the years. In fact, southwest Florida (and several specific counties in that region) has exhibited almost every paranormal and supernatural phenomenon imaginable:

"Hi. Lon. We had a house in southwest Florida, back in the early to mid-1980s. For over a week, our neighborhood had a series of what I believe were werewolf stalkings.

It was June I think and around 9 PM, I was out back on the patio. At that time no one had fences around their property, because all of us knew the other families around the area. The only exception was the family across the street from us - they had a 7-foot-tall cinder block wall behind their house. They had a large wooded piece of property and kept equipment out there. The dad was in construction and the wall enclosed 3 sides of the property. It was hot out and a slight breeze, no clouds, and starry.

As I sat there I could hear the dogs in the neighborhood begin to bark - then everything got quiet. A lone howl started, so I howled back. I do this rather well - I'd watch National Geographic and would mimic wolf cries. Anyway, this went on for about five minutes, and each time the howl from the other end got closer. Down the road are train tracks that run north to south. The sound seemed to come from that direction. I started to get spooked as the howling stopped. Our yard had bushes and a tree on the side where the sound came from. The hair on my arms and neck started to stand up so I felt like I should go in. As I stood I heard movement by the bushes, I glanced over and saw something move. I didn't wait to see what it was so I booked it into the house and I stood by the door which had glass panes in it. I watched as something very large and dark moved about the bushes. It moved away and I could no longer see it from my vantage point. I went to the front porch to look out the windows hoping to get a look at whatever was there but it never came out that way. So I went to bed and read for a while to calm down.

About less than an hour later my brother came home, he came to my room and was as white as paper. He was shaking all over - his eyes the size of saucers. I asked him if he was okay? Now my brother is the sort that has an explanation for anything unusual, and he's a big guy, so for him to be in this state was not normal. He said I need you to come with me right now, I'll explain when we get in the truck. I was still dressed so I got up and went with him. When we got outside I asked what was going on. He told me there was something in the road by the tracks he needed to show me first. I was not happy about that as I just had my own experience with something from that way. As we got there it looked as if something had exploded all over the road. There was blood everywhere as if something was mowed down in that spot, but there were no body parts anywhere. My brother related then what he had seen coming down the road.

"I was coming home and as I got closer to the tracks, there was this huge thing lying in the road. I thought it must have been a Mastiff or Great Dane in the road, but as I pulled up to it it didn't look like a dog I'd ever seen. It was hairy, its head and nose was twice the size of a dog - the body wasn't a dog, just dog-like, but much, much bigger. It was all over the place, there was an arm on the road! Not a dog, a human arm."

There was no trace of anything when we got there and it was only minutes that it took us to get there. I said to get the hell out of there now and we went back home. I told him what I experienced just before he got home. A couple of days later my sister came to me and said she had been seeing a large dog prowling around at night. It was huge and she had seen it across the street, as she sat on the porch. I told her what my brother and I saw and not to be outside alone until we could find out what it was. We got together and decided to stake out the yard over the next night, sure enough, it was back in the neighbor's yard. This thing was about the size of a Shetland pony, black in color. We had flashlights turned on it took off to the back wall behind the house. Their dog was going off like crazy, they had a small terrier. We watched this dog thing scale the wall. The neighbor came out to see what was going on, and we shouted there was something in his yard. He went back in and grabbed his pistol and went around back, but by that time it was gone." M

Is There Any Tangible Evidence That UPRIGHT or CRYPTID CANINES Mauled Humans?

During an April 2016 Arcane Radio show, Sean Forker and I discussed that we had not heard of an upright or cryptid canine attack. A few days later I found one instance that raised my attention since it occurred in an urban area. The following is the newspaper account:

Search Continues For Dogs That Killed Tulsa Man

Monday, March 29, 1999

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tulsa police remained confident Sunday that they would locate two large dogs that attacked and killed a man on Saturday.

"I think eventually we will find the dogs," said Sgt. Wayne Allen. "We are still looking in the area."

Allen said authorities had expanded the search area from the immediate area where the attack occurred about 4:30 a.m. Saturday and that police and animal control officers would continue to actively look for the animals through Sunday.

He identified the victim as Darrel Roberson, 42, who lived a few blocks from where the attack occurred about 4:30 a.m. Saturday. Allen said police were sure Roberson was killed by the dogs.

"We know the throat wounds were premortem. He was still alive then," Allen said. "Some of the others were postmortem but the wounds that probably killed him were the throat bites."

He said a newspaper carrier called police after he chased off the dogs as they chewed on Roberson's body, which was found in the middle of a north Tulsa street.

The carrier chased the dogs off again when he returned and saw that they had resumed their chewing.

Allen said police weren't sure what kind of dogs were involved in the attack, but were "relatively sure" they were Rottweilers.

The newspaper carrier, Allen said, could only identify the dogs in the pre-dawn darkness as either large, black Rottweilers or Doberman pinchers with bobbed tails.

Sgt. Greg Matthews said Roberson apparently had not been in the street long when the newspaper carrier found him.

The investigating officers said "it was a terrible scene. It was very traumatic," Matthews said. "The officers said he was not a small guy. Had it been a child ... "

Police advised people in the area to careful with their young children until the dogs are captured.

"We are advising people that we possibly have two Rottweilers who attacked a grown man and caused his death, and to use their own judgment in letting their small children outside," Allen said.

Please note that fatal dog attacks have seemed to have increased every year since data was kept. This particular attack occurred in an urban area, and it seems that neither dog was ever captured. Most of the dogs described in these reports are said to be 'large and dark' and some of the victims have been removed by the predator to other locations. In some cases, the carnage has been likened to a 'shark attack.'

There has never been a documented case of a wild wolf killing a human being in the United States. But canine fatal-attack statistics, compiled by the Humane Society, rank wolf hybrids in sixth place behind malamutes, huskies, shepherds, Rottweilers, and pit bulls. So yes, it's true that domestic dogs have been known to attack and kill humans. But some of these attacks seem to be more than mere attacks by domestic animals. Sure, there has been a variety of anecdotal evidence or word-of-mouth accounts, for instance, the Land Between the Lakes tales where multiple people were said to have been attacked and/or mauled.

I'm not sure if any of this information can be designated as an upright or cryptid canine attack since we have scant evidence at this point. Nonetheless, I believe that all avenues need to be taken into consideration.

UNKNOWN BIPEDAL CREATURE Blocked Our Path!

2 boys are near Benson, West Virginia under a rock overhang. They hear and observe an unknown bipedal creature that has blocked their way out of the area. What was it?

The witness wrote me to tell of his experience:

“I think it was the summer of 1982. My friend Mike and I used to spend hours on the hills behind my grandmother's house on 48th Street in Benwood, West Virginia. Route 2, a four-lane highway, and the railroad tracks were right there. Even though Mike and I were just kids, both around 11, we disobeyed our parents and carefully crossed the four-lane highway. On the other side was what I now believe to be a game trail. No doubt created by deer on their quest for the river. This was the path to our adventure and led to all the cool spots we would come to enjoy.

We climbed the hill and passed our favorite locations like that little overhang of rock that could shelter us from the rain and provide a convenient place to light a fire. We loved building small fires. We were careful though. I give us credit for that. Good old Smokey Bear did his job. A little later in our explorations, we found an even larger overhang that would provide shelter from even a storm. This, we thought to ourselves, was where the Indians took shelter. Despite the truth of that statement, we never found any indicators of modern occupation. Do not forget, we were 11 and 12.

Now, the forest was beautiful that time of year. Birds were chirping and sunlight streamed through the openings in the forest canopy. I can remember the smell of some wild bush on the land, some aromatic thing floating through the air. I felt good that day and I was with a good friend. At some point, we deviated from the trail and began to move north along the side of the hill. Keep in mind we could hear the highway below. So we were able to get through. We went perhaps a few hundred yards and then began to descend. We made our own path through the woods but soon we would find our path blocked.

We see something hunched over moving up and down rhythmically. There was no sound except for the creature rustling the underbrush. It looked about the size of an ape or perhaps a small bear, but it was now upright on two legs. We did not know what to think. My first reaction was to throw my Jolly Rancher at the creature and take off running down the hill in the direction of the highway. I think Mike did the same but at that instant, it was all about me. Suddenly we come to a screaming, screeching halt – briars! There was a whole wall of them and no clear path around them. In fact, we were among them before we even knew what happened. We looked around and listened but there was no sign of the creature. It must have taken us a half hour to find our way through or around the briars and find our way back to the highway.

When I look back at it, it was an adventure but one that scared the freaking crap out of me. We returned home and made no mention of it to our parents. After all, they did not need to know just how far we had gone that day.”

NOTE: Though the written statement implied that this was a Bigfoot encounter (according to the source), it could possibly have been something else. This location is along the Ohio River and very near Wheeling, WV. and north of Moundsville. There have been several unexplained sightings in this area for many years, including upright canines, strange flying creatures, apparitions, bizarre humanoids, and UFOs. Then again, it's West Virginia. Lon

SHADOWY MANIFESTATION Appears One Day Before Father Passes

A woman and her young niece were walking back to their house when both observed a tall shadowy figure near their home. The woman's father passed away the following day.

I received the following account:

“Something weird happened to me years ago when I was picking up my niece from the bus stop at the end of our road. My house lies in the very middle of our street. I used to pick up my niece every day as her mother was at work. It was an ordinary day. Not much sun but cloudy as I recall. The stop is about a 2 or 3-minute walk (depending on how fast your pace is) from my house. You can see the end of my driveway when you're halfway there. Only about 3 to 4 houses away. My niece was in the 1st grade at the time. She was maybe 6 or 7 years old. I must mention that my father was close to the end of his life.

When my niece and I were about halfway home, I looked up and gazed near the end of my driveway. There was this humanoid figure just standing there facing us. It was looking in our direction. Was it looking at us? Waiting for us? I can't make out many details as to its attire only to say it was all black. Like all black clothes, or silhouetted? I could not make out the face either, but I knew it had one. I'm not sure about the color? Why couldn't I make out any details as we were a short distance from my house? I got this eerie feeling about it though and it just wasn’t good news.

While I was walking, I asked my niece if she could see it too. She confirmed she could. I asked her 'Who is that?' Neither of us could tell who, or what that was. I kept watching it as we came closer. Still couldn't see the facial features well. It was tall. I'd say about 6 or 7 feet. It was still like a statue. No movement or sound. Just there. I looked down at my niece for a very brief second or two and when I looked up again it was gone instantly. Just like that. It was there for only a minute or two. One minute it's there, and the next minute, "poof" it's gone. As if nothing was ever there.

As we reached my house there was no one anywhere. Where could someone run that fast? I was the only one home at that time, and they would have told me if they were waiting for us or something. I never saw him again and to this day every once in a while it comes to mind. The strange thing about it is, that my niece can't remember a thing! I tried to refresh her memory a few times, as she did say at the time she saw it too, but it's like that one memory has been erased. Was it because she was so young at the time? How much can kids remember at that age? One more thing, my father passed away the very next day.” R
