Chestnut Ridge 'Reptilians'

Perryopolis, PA - 2017-01-15 - 2:30AM: I am writing this for a friend. He wants an investigation. He wears a bullet proof vest and carries a gun everyday because of this encounter.

He said that there is eight-feet tall creatures resembling a Reptilian-type creature surrounding his house at night. They get into his head and communicate strange things like stuff about end of civilization stuff and that only a small group will survive. Sometimes they get physical and then there is loss of consciousness. They mimic his voice, when he yells out into the woods at them, it starts off sounding strange and they repeat it over and over until they get it right exactly duplicated until it gives him the chills and goosebumps.

They are over 8-feet tall creature if anything Reptilian. He shoots at them and then a light smacks the bullets out of the air. When the light hits the bullets it makes a loud slapping noise. He finds the bullets in the yard in the morning. Some bullets are perfectly shaped and some are flat like they have been ran over on a train track.

Since the guns and bullets don't work he tried using a knife. Which he did stab one and it yelled. He used a bear trap once. It snapped shut. The thing screamed and the trap was gone in the morning. There is so much to this story that I don't know and can't remember. But he wants an interview and some help.

They don't seem to be able to come into the house for some reason. Humans might be working with them also. At this same time these incidents were taking place. Someone shot his dog and put it in a box in the front of his front door of his house with a note 'DON'T FORGET.' It sounds sort of like 'Mothman Prophecy' stuff to me - strange.

The only way he sees himself actually being able to kill one of these creatures is by stabbing it while it is dragging you away and hopefully it bleeds out before it takes you to where it wants to take you.

There is so much more to this story that only he knows, and is willing to tell all. He just wants to find out how to get rid of these creatures out of his woods. - MUFON

Robed Beings in the Spare Bedroom

Upper Darby, PA - 1972-04-14: Was four years old, slept in a room with my two sisters. We had a spare room that I was terrified to go into even though I had no reason to fear going in. I wouldn't go in even with an adult. I woke up one night and against my will was drawn to go into the spare room.

There were two creatures in robes or sheets; they had huge black eyes, and claws for hands. I couldn't really make out mouths but I could make out their bodies; thin, lean muscles. I was scared but not terribly, felt a sense of wonder even though their eyes seemed to be smiling and laughing at me. I was shifting around so I wasn't paralyzed. one was short; about three and half feet(about my height at the time), the other was tall-maybe six feet. I looked at them for awhile before the little one pinched me in the ass (yes, I know how that could be construed.) and I ran terrified to my parents bedroom. Those things were right there - I didn't see or hear a thing. t=They were sort of swaying like they were mocking me as I screamed over and over, "mom, dad! wake up!" They didn't wake up.

That's it. All I remember is waking up the next morning in my bed. Nothing like that has happened since. It may not have been an experience but I feel in my gut something happened and i need to know. Can you help me? Thank you very much for your time. - MUFON

Strange 'Men' Ruin Sasquatch Encounter

While promoting his book 'Kultus,' author Kirk Sigurdson spoke of a Bigfoot sighting he had in the late 2000s, in the woods near Crescent City, California. Even stranger is what happened next:

“Speaking of this terrible thing that happened. So there's this Bigfoot starting to come up the bank and I look in my rear view and this car, you know, this is a fairly deserted... I mean it was a paved stretch of road and in the summer, you know, you might get cars going up and down more. But this time of year it was very deserted and I saw maybe three or four cars go down this road over the course of like four hours or something. So it was pretty deserted and also it was in the middle of the week.

So anyway the guy, he had some kind of a... this is a weird thing, it looked like a strobe device from when I used to scuba dive with my dad, we didn't have a strobe. We weren't... I didn't... it wasn't a photography type.. it looked like a diving light, essentially, with a pistol grip and I don't even think they make diving lights like that anymore. It was big and bulky like I used to use when I was a kid when I was ship to ship diving, you know, with my dad out in Pugent Sound. So he pulls this thing out of the window and flashes down toward the Sasquatch. The Sasquatch has an immediate reaction when the light goes out over the swamp and this is, like, just around just after dusk. It's pretty... it's getting dark. It's not completely dark yet and the thing bellows and takes off across the swamp. I can hear it running out across the swamp until it gets a fair distance away. Now I thought these guys were Bigfooters and I was pissed because I had spent a lot of time and, you know, it's not just a couple of days of Bigfooting. I mean it's rare to get a good experience like that where you bring one in like that. Even in my whole career Bigfooting it's rare and so it was also a question of just circumstance and luck and a lot of other factors and I was just, like, oh my god, these guys just ruined one of the best chances I had for an encounter, you know, in a controlled situation where I'm inside a vehicle, which is even more rare.

I had rolled the window up because I was scared a little bit, you know, because the thing's coming up the bank and it was coming toward my Jeep so these guys then proceeded to pull up next to me and they are in this like old-style late 1970s compact Japanese style vehicle. It looked like a Datsun or an early Toyota and, I don't know if they made Toyotas back then, maybe a Honda. It actually looked like a Datsun, frankly, which I know most people haven't even heard of. That's what it looked like and these guys, I got a good look at them. They had high cheekbones. They had a very kind of a gold complexion, like, when, I, you know I'm Scandinavian? So when I was in Iceland, I saw a few people with this complexion. There are humans with this complexion and it's very unusual and I think the Icelanders even have a special kind of phrase for it because it's attractive but it's weird. It's just very gold and mixed with the light colored hair and the high cheekbones and these guys were handsome but, like, they just... the guy in the passenger side looked at me like I was a bug or something. Like I was just the most vile annoying zoo animal or something that was out a line, that required intervention or whatever. And so they had light colored eyes, not piercingly light blue eyes but, you know, kind of light brown hair, cut fairly short. They were wearing matching... it looked like plaid shirts that looked kind of well pressed and most plaid is kind of rumpled. People don't wear it pressed. So it was kind of weird. They were way too big for the vehicle. They were just huge in that they dwarfed the vehicle inside. I don't know how big they were, it's hard to tell but, you know, well over 6 feet tall.

And so this guy proceeds to take out his diving light thing and, I know this sounds ridiculous because it sounds like 'Men In Black (the movie)' but it really happened. And he points it at me and I looked away thinking I'd be okay but it reflected off the foliage on the other side of my Jeep and blinded me. And this is the weird thing, so it it blinds me but, you know, normally if you look at a light bulb or something weird... you look at the Sun, I don't know, you get blinded for a second but I just remember, like, when I looked up they were already way up on this little bridge flashing out over the swamp. So I don't know how much time had elapsed but then I honestly can't remember what happened. I try to remember but it seems like they might have come and parked behind me and I took off or I drove around them when they were on the bridge. I can't honestly remember. It wasn't that long ago so it's disturbing that I can't remember what happened. I just remember driving really fast back to Crescent City to a motel and checking in and my left eye was just killing me and it felt like I had a sty at it or something, and I'm not prone to that. Since it happened I've been getting these little sores in the corner of that eye, periodically, and it even makes my eye twitch. And so that night I just, yeah, I am... I couldn't sleep and I couldn't eat, I couldn't hold down fluids and, anyway, I don't like talking about it. It just put a real kink in my Bigfooting experiences after that I just kind of quit doing it.”

Extraterrestrials in the Neighborhood

I recently received the following account from a witness in Santa Cruz, CA. There was a similar post on the MUFON CMS recently, dated 7/7/2017:

Today I was relaxing at home when I noticed some movement across the street from my kitchen window. It's a small side street with lots of large trees. It was hard to tell what I was seeing at first, because they appeared to have some sort of camouflage, but it looked like black SWAT uniforms with small yellow lettering once I was able to get a better view. They were up in a tree, very well hidden by the leaves, and i was only really able to see them when they moved. It was apparent when they moved as opposed to the wind because only a small section of a branch would vibrate. I was startled and anxious because they were looking toward my house, and I first thought they had me under surveillance or something and couldn't understand what was going on.

I watched them in the tree for at least 5-10 minutes, and I was crouched low looking through a cut-out in my fence. They seemed to spot me at some point and some kind of faint beeping sound started, like an alarm on a radio or walkie-talkie. They then began trying to slowly and secretly rappel down ropes that I could see being controlled by a man high in the tree wearing a blue jacket. They dropped out of sight behind the neighbor's fence across the street. So this was all weird enough, but what happened next was absolutely mind blowing.

I was trying to see where they went behind the fence, and noticed something very tall at the back of the driveway of their next-door neighbor. Their driveway extends behind their house into the backyard. I realized I was looking at an unbelievably tall woman with very blonde, long hair. She had a sort of grey and white jumpsuit on, with a strange looking oval back covering that went around the top of her head and all the way down to her feet. It was only solid in the back, and was whitish in color with a patterned border around the edge. It didn't really look like fabric but I couldn't tell what it was. Her eyes were extremely large. She stood very still but moved slightly, and there seemed to be a shorter humanoid shape wearing the same color jumpsuit moving around rather wildly at her feet. But the shadow of the fence made it hard to see that part. The sunlight was good and bright, and the only obstruction was some sparse shadowing from tree leaves. Not really sure what I was looking at.

I looked back to where the black wearing tree climbers had been, and saw that suddenly there was now a short, skin-colored 'something' standing behind their fence. The fence is a lattice pattern so there are a good many holes you can see through. It was too short to be seen over the top of the fence, but I could see a very large face with a deeply wrinkled forehead and eyes that almost looked like they were made of some kind of glitter. They were very large, and somewhat rounder than what people usually describe as "alien eyes." I could see that it was looking right at me, so not knowing what else to do, I waved at it. It then reached a hand with very very long bony fingers through the fence lattice and waved back. It waved a couple more times, stopping in between waves. I was so stunned that I had to look away and shake my head to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. When I looked back it had stopped waving and was a little farther back from the fence. It seemed like a good entity, whatever it was. Even though I was seeing from across the street through 2 fences, I could see it quite well. Things somehow got even weirder after that.

I decided to lay down for a minute, glancing back to where the massive woman had been, but there didn't seem to be anyone there anymore. I went up into my little loft, which has several skylights under a giant live oak tree. I stared at the tree trying to process what I had just witnessed, when I noticed a couple of branches quivering like the ones the covert ops guys had been shaking. I expected to see more of those creepy agents, but instead strained to see a much smaller creature climbing expertly up into the high branches. It was difficult to see it clearly because it seemed to be a dusty grey green color, much like the trees bark and leaves. It seemed to have textured skin, possibly scaly, and it had an angular face with teeny tiny little projections like little horns or possibly short antennae. It has a small mouth that looked full of sharp teeth. It's eyes were quite large and dark. It had a humanoid build but was short. I stared at this for many minutes, wondering what the Hell was going on. Then I caught sight of some slight movement on other branches and saw two more of the same creatures climbing easily up the tall tree. They reached a high up branch that was big enough to lay on. The light, once they stopped moving much, was not ideal and it was hard to see them when the were sitting still. In the shade of the branches it looked like an even smaller, dark green creature was working on the gray colored ones back somehow...it looked like a massage to me. I watched until my neck was too painful from looking up to continue. When I looked back a little later, the branches were empty.

This was all preceded by an unnerving experience late the night before. I got up to get water and glanced at the driveway neighbors window. Inside I saw an unnaturally gangling figure that was bluish light grey. It was staring out of their window directly at me which caught me off guard and I let out a little shriek. I walked from the kitchen into the bathroom and looked again, seeing that it's eyes followed where I was. I called my boyfriend in fear and told him what I was seeing. He was just excited while I was scared. I thought that would be the end of it when I went to bed, but the next day was even crazier! I wish I had a way to find out what was going on!

There was also a very small orb darting about the branches of the oak tree and any time it would graze a twig it would give a little shake. I've never seen a bird or bug or other flying life form move in that manner. I attest that this is all true and I described it to the best of my knowledge. I have never seen anything like this before and really would like to know what was going on, and if it is real why so many different kinds of extraterrestrials were in my neighborhood.

NOTE: The account posted at the MUFON CMS stated that photos were included, though there was no mention in the email I received. Quite a bizarre series of events. Lon

Daily 2 Cents: Unknown Roaring Creature at Illinois Quarry -- 'I felt horribly alone and frightened' -- Tall Dark Grey in the Kitchen

Unknown Roaring Creature at Illinois Quarry

Sugar Grove, IL - 1988-05-19: My girlfriend and I were fishing at a stone quarry that was pretty much surrounded by corn fields and some small patches of light forest and shrubbery. The sun had just set and we were behind stone walls inside the small quarry so it was getting darker a little faster. One side of the quarry the stone wall was elevated 40 feet, (that is the side we face while fishing) while the area behind us slowly rose to a corn field edged by shrubbery and small trees. The edge of the trees and shrubbery is about 15 to 20 yards behind us.

We were sitting on the edge of the water contemplating packing up when all of a sudden we heard this very loud roar...and I mean loud. It made us both jump up instantly. It roared (howled) again. I could see the outline of a creature with a large head and large eyes. I grabbed my flashlight and shined it at the creature. It had very large greenish-orangish oval eyes. It roared again and you could see very large predator like teeth. Then it moved through the trees and shrugs so fast we could not see it move until it was at it's next destination. Then it roared again. It had a roar that was not like anything that lives on this planet...especially in Illinois. I can still mimic the sound that it made. It was very scary. The creature was at it's closest 10 yards and maybe 50 yards at it's furthest. The eyes reminded me of a large reptile.

The next day I went back with my friend to see if I could see anything or any signs of anything. I could not see anything such as tracks or broken limbs. Nothing.

My buddy and I started fishing. We were there about and hour when it started to get dark again. We packed up and started to walk up the short path to my Jeep when we both stopped in our tracks. Coming across the cornfield at treetop level was a craft. It had several lights on it and it had a large light that shined on us for a few seconds. Then it made a 45 degree turn and went out of the atmosphere in the blink of eye.

The craft the we saw did not have a sound. We were pretty much surrounded by the stone quarry. We could here a pin drop on the other side but this craft did not have a sound. - MUFON

'I felt horribly alone and frightened'

Boulder, CO - 2009-01-31: I was operating a motorcoach, 40ft commercial bus, west bound into Boulder, Colorado. It 1st appeared at about 45% directly in front of my vehicle matching my speed, approximately 70mph. It slowed and fell behind me and suddenly turned on a single light, sweeping back and forth the full length of the vehicle, eventually simultaneously concentrating yet another beam into the cab and one on the roadway in front. I became ill from fear at that point and snapped a picture.

I tried to calm down by telling myself that it was only a helicopter but it suddenly ascended to approximately 100ft above the roadway exposing a large sphere w/ no exterior illumination save the two sweeping beams.

I am not a man given to panic but was fast approaching that point. I had tried deceleration and acceleration to no avail. The object matched every maneuver.

As we approached an overpass, the beams switched off and I lost sight of it. I pulled into a toll station, exited the bus and threw up. I was alone and dead heading and had no passengers. I felt horribly alone and frightened. I have traveled around the world and have never seen anything like it. - MUFON

Tall Dark Grey in the Kitchen

Detroit, MI - 2018-03-25: I woke up around 5:25am on March 25, 2018, I went to the bathroom. As I was coming out of the bathroom, to my left in the kitchen, I saw a very tall dark grey alien life form in my kitchen. I took my cellphone and turned the light side of my phone toward the kitchen to see it more clearly but it had left abruptly. It appeared to be a young boy alien. It did not scare me because it's vibe was friendly and playful. It was as if it was afraid of me more so than I was afraid of it. - MUFON

Squirrel Invasion!

Ground squirrels are having their way across the San Diego County coast, despite the best efforts of city and state parks officials to reduce their numbers.

"I almost tripped over a few, and one tried to join me here at the picnic table," said Kevin Braasch, a visitor from Chicago who had just sat down near Tamarack Avenue in Carlsbad after a two-mile jog from his hotel. "They sure are friendly creatures."

A little too friendly, most people would say. The squirrel population is booming at the beach, so much so that the animals have lost their fear of humans. They scamper right up to people, usually looking for a handout.

Unknown 'Substances' Found in Montana Yard

Montana - 2018-03-19 07:30: We were getting ready to leave for work when observer 1 noticed a strange substance in our front yard. She then told me to come and look at this strange substance in our yard. The strange substance was noticed because it was out of the ordinary. Something told her to look in the yard. Maybe intuition but she noticed something out of place. At 1st she thought it was coffee ground and what looked like cooked rice. The substance looked like it was hot when it made contact with the yard since the snow was melted all around the substance. But there were no tracks leading up to the substance which was strange. I decided to take a picture of it before leaving for work. To me the substance looked like nothing from this earth. The black stuff looks like space rocks or some kind of debris from take off? Can't explain what the white goo is but it looks sticky and clumped together like a food of some sort. How can we get sample of the substance to an investigator so it can be tested? - MUFON

Time Slip in Old Haunted House

“When I was living in Georgia a few years ago, a young male (early 20's) told me about an abandoned house that was about a half mile from him. He and a friend took a trip to the house went up the stairs then realized they were not in the house no more. I asked 'where were you two then?' We were in a large school with period setting. I asked about what possible time period, possibly the progressive era was a good guess. They do not know how long they were in there, but long enough to know that something was wrong. He told me they walked the halls and every room was identical. They walked into one of the rooms and sat in the classroom. Being young they did not sense any danger or what was going on. He told me that they sat there for a few minutes and then they turn around as if the stairway was behind them. He asked his friend if he wanted to go down the stairs. They went down the stairway with ease, exited the house and walked out. They hesitated for a brief moment. He asked his friend if he wanted to go back in to look around again, and the both agreed to go back upstairs. As they went upstairs again, it was like the classrooms never existed, because I knew what house he went in and it should have only taken them no more then 10 seconds to walk across from one side to the other. What I knew he did not, and that was the woman that owned the house many years ago (through records) she was a school teacher. So I do not know if her ghost was there or something and his spirit became intertwined with hers. I do not know, but it was one of the most interesting stories I have ever heard.”

Tall Black Xenomorph

Port Charlotte, FL - 2018-03-21: A larger Xenomorph looking creature saw me as I entered our screen porch area, and escaped through a missing screen lost during hurricane. It used one foot to push off, and jumped clear onto the one story roof, scattering rocks into the patio area. Then it went over the roof, I think back to the canal and escaped into the water. Dark black a little shiny large maybe nine foot, exoskeleton, looked like an ant like Xeno, it was not hostile it only looked to escape. Someone else from the house was there but I don't know who I heard the door close. - MUFON

“I had a glitch in the world. I've lived in the same state for over 14 years. SINCE I WAS BORN, and while I was going to my friend's house, I realized something was wrong, I was on the wrong street. Somehow the WHOLE street moved over and another one was there which never knew about, which was there all this time. (MY friend says the street has always been there.) I don't know how, but it wasn't there before, somehow a WHOLE ENTIRE street was made overnight. I'm serious, like, what happened?”

Personal & Historical Accounts of Winged Humanoids

I thought I'd describe a few of the many flying humanoid / Mothman encounter statements I have received or found over the years. These accounts were not included in Mothman Dynasty: Chicago's Winged Humanoids[image error]:

Several years ago, I received an inquiry from Australia:

Sir - I am writing on behalf of a business friend who I visited in September 2015. He lives in Tokyo, Japan. While I was there he told me of an incident that occurred while he and his fiance traveled to the Mt. Fujiyama Komitake shrine.

They had been at the shrine and other local sites throughout the day. While they were leaving the parking lot they both noticed a strange looking man crouched down by a tree near the edge of the forest. My friend slowed down his car as they continued to watch this man. The forest was dark, but they could see a halo of red light over his head. About that time he turned and stood up. Instantly a pair of huge dark butterfly-like wings sprung open from his back and he shot up into the canopy. As it ascended, they noticed the wings reflected light.

They then noticed that two older women had been watching this man as well, who screamed and ran away towards a nearby building. Other people then reacted to the screams and were looking towards the forest. My friend did not stay and drove off. They were both frightened and his fiance cried most of the way home.

I was shocked by their encounter and started to look on the internet after I returned home to NSW, Australia. I then read about the Mothman incidents and other strange winged humanoids. I talked to my friend and he said that someone had told him the same thing and that it had been seen in Japan. Could you offer an explanation? Thanks - Jan

In September 1877, the following 'Letter to the Editor' of the New York Sun was published:

To The Editor of The Sun--Sir:

On Tuesday afternoon of this week, a few minutes after 6 o’clock, I noticed from my window a very peculiar, solitary, vapory object in the heavens. Its position was about where the constellation of the Dipper would be at that hour, viz., due north, and thirty-five degrees above the horizon. In magnitude and contour it in a marked degree resembled a human form, head, body, and nether limbs, the body and limbs robed in shadowy drapery. The head, which was of brighter luminosity on the crown and forehead, had thick flowing hair, and the whole figure was extended horizontally, with the head eastward and the front downward. But there was another feature quite as marked, and that was an appearance as of wings projecting upward and backward from the shoulders, and these in due proportional extent to the body and limbs. This last named feature gave the entirety the appearance of an angel.

Flying in mid-heaven, considered as a cloud, it was remarkable that it kept the same outline continuously, which is uncommon in those vapory objects, while I had it in view for a considerable time, as it progressed swiftly toward the east. The luminosity of the shadowy angel was of a golden white, and it presented a very beautiful appearance against the blue background of the sky. In addition to the startling outline of the object, the interest in it was greatly increased by its being at the time the only one visible in the whole northern heavens, except some low-lying black clouds on the horizon. I called the attention of several persons to it, one of whom discovered himself the resemblance I did.

Query--Was this a presage of a coming event? It reminded me of the words recorded in Mark XIII., 27: “Then shall he send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds;” and those in Daniel IX., 21: “Gabriel being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.”

Well...just a few years later, another flying being was seen over Coney Island. It was described as 'a man with bat’s wings and improved frog’s legs.' There are also references to similar sighting in St. Louis and Kentucky. Could these be early Mothman sightings?:

AN AERIAL MYSTERY

One day last week a marvelous apparition was seen near Coney Island. At the height of at least a thousand feet in the air a strange object was in the act of flying toward the New Jersey coast. It was apparently a man with bat’s wings and improved frog’s legs. The face of the man could be distinctly seen, and it wore a cruel and determined expression. The movements made by the object closely resembled those of a frog in the act of swimming with his hind legs and flying with his front legs. Of course, no respectable frog has ever been known to conduct himself in precisely that way; but were a frog to wear bat’s wings, and to attempt to swim and fly at the same time, he would correctly imitate the conduct of the Coney Island monster. When we add that this monster waved his wings in answer to the whistle of a locomotive, and was of a deep black color, the alarming nature of the apparition can be imagined. The object was seen by many reputable persons, and they all agree that it was a man engaged in flying toward New-Jersey.

About a month ago an object of precisely the same nature was seen in the air over St. Louis by a number of citizens who happened to be sober and are believed to be trustworthy. A little later it was seen by various Kentucky persons as it flew across the State. In no instance has it been known to alight, and no one has seen it at a lower elevation than a thousand feet above the surface of the earth. It is without a doubt the most extraordinary and wonderful object that has ever been seen, and there should be no time lost in ascertaining its precise nature, habits, and probable mission.

That this aerial apparition is a man fitted with practicable wings there is no reason to doubt. Some one has solved the problem of aerial navigation by inventing wings with which a man can sustain himself in the air and direct his flight to any desired point. Who is this adventurous flyer and what is his object? are questions of immediate and enormous importance. Of course, the first impulse of the unreflecting mind will be to exclaim that the mysterious flyer is an aeronaut who has invented practicable wings, and is secretly experimenting with then before making his invention public. This is directly at variance with the known habits and customs of aeronauts.

Had any aeronaut invented a pair of wings he would have advertised, long before his invention was perfected, that he was in possession of a machine wherewith to make an aerial voyage to Europe in twenty-four hours, and that he was prepared to exhibit it for a few weeks to every one who would pay 50 cents to see it. A little later he would have taken up a subscription to pay the expenses of his proposed voyage in the interests of science, and would probably have published a book on the science of aeronautics. Then he would have suddenly disappeared, taking his wings with him, or accidentally burning them, and after the first outburst of indignation on the part of a swindled public would have been totally forgotten. This has been the invariable practice of these ingenious aeronauts who have claimed to be the inventors of balloons or other apparatus capable of navigating the air. That the mysterious flying man has not followed this custom makes it perfectly clear that he is not a professional aeronaut. Beyond any question, either the flying man or some Scientific Person at present unknown has invented the bat’s wings and frog’s legs with which the flying man now sails through the air. Why has not the inventor patented his invention and had himself duly written up by the press? The reason is obvious. The flying man is engaged in some under taking which he cannot safely proclaim. In other words, he is an aerial criminal, a fact which explains the cruelty and determination visible on his countenance, and what can be the nefarious object which this probable wretch has in view? It cannot be simply theft and robbery, for it would manifestly be impossible for him, in his flying costume, to perpetrate burglary or highway robbery, or to pick pockets. It cannot be plumbing, for obvious reasons, neither can it be the sale of books published by subscription only. Yet the flying villain must have an object, and we have a right to assume that only a peculiarly nefarious object could induce a man to fly to New-Jersey or St. Louis in hot weather and without an umbrella or mosquito net. It has not escaped notice that of late Mr. Talmage has been wandering in the West in search of entertaining varieties of crime wherewith to embellish his sermons. It is also known that he returned to this City just before the flying man of Coney Island was seen. Now, if there is a man in this country whose arms and legs are fitted to endure the muscular strain inseparable from the act of flying, that man is Mr. Talmage. He has preached for years with those graceful limbs, and must have developed and hardened their muscles to an extent which would fill every other professional acrobat with envy. What is more probable than that Mr. Talmage has equipped himself with wings in order to study interesting types of immorality from the lofty height of a thousand feet! He has flown over St. Louis and Kentucky — precisely the places which might be expected to yield a rich reward to an investigator of crime; and he is now flying to and fro over Coney Island, preparatory to preaching a scathing sermon on the wickedness and indecencies of our bathing resorts. Here we have a natural and probable explanation of the flying man, and it is earnestly to be hoped that no one, with mistaken zeal for field sports, will attempt to shoot the preacher on the wing with a shot-gun. There is not a shot-gun in existence which will do any good at a distance of a thousand feet.

The following account was forwarded to me in 2013:

Hi Lon...I am from Waterville, Maine. Back in the late Summer, early Fall of 1971, I was newly married and living in Killeen, Texas with my husband who was in the army. We had a small duplex apartment in Killeen. One night he had duty and I was home alone in bed around 3 am in the morning. I woke up suddenly and saw a black figure standing at the bottom of my bed. It was 8 or 9 feet tall and had huge big black wings and red eyes. I closed my eyes and opened them again and it had moved closer to me on the right side of my bed...I couldn’t scream. It was as if I was frozen in fear. I covered my head in the blankets. I was so afraid!

About 5 mins. later I looked and it was gone. It gave me a horrible feeling and I prayed never to see it again. Shortly after this event I came back to Maine as I was way to frightened to ever stay alone at night when he had duty. I told my mom I had seen a huge black angel that night and she was glad I came home as that didn’t sound good. I had never heard of the Mothman but a few years later I came across an article and a drawing of one. Even before I read the article I said 'wow'...that is exactly what I saw in Texas. It didn’t have a noticeable neck and its face was like hooded, its wings tucked in on its side but you could tell they were very large. It was totally black except for the eyes were round, large and red. Lon...I still think of this thing with fear. Personally do you have any idea what it is? I'm 57 now and I am still searching for an answer.

P.S. - The apartment I lived in had a well in the entrance way that always gave me the creeps...a cistern I believe it is called. Just a flat rock covered it and it still had water in it. I couldn’t see the water but I heard the plop when I dropped a rock in it. This probably has nothing to do with any of this but felt I should tell you anyways.

Bowen, IL - 1984-04-29: For a few months now I've been waking up and seeing binary code while awaking. I've never told anyone this but as a child I remember a craft landing. It was a tube, inside was a group of aliens. It was a study group. The teacher was teaching earth history. Somehow I managed to run inside the craft. I saw all white walls windows and it seemed to curve all occupants were wearing white and just as startled as I was amazed. Then everything went dark and I remember being on the ground when I woke up and in a daze 3 Greys appeared to examine me not on a ship but inside my mind. One was tall and seemed to be the leader. He was mad as if something had changed within me and now I was to be considered unworthy of their agenda. All this happening within my mind. Out of the 2 little Greys one seemed not to agree but was harshly regarded by the tall one. I could feel a connection to this little Grey. I could sense compassion as well as a family bond as if this little Grey was a distant relative and the second little Grey seemed disconnected from thought as if there was only obedience to the tall grey. I don't know if you are familiar with the word 'gleening' but that's the word that pops in my head when i think back on that day. I felt like I knew why or at least part of the reason they were there was too save them from something bad coming and time was short. i can't express to you enough the connection I felt towards the little Grey. I know it was of the same origin as my family line. This is all I can remember but even it is fuzzy and I know there is more I don't know. - MUFON

8-Hour Daydream

“You know when I was I would say about ten years old I went to a summer camp with the church that my family and I use to attend. One afternoon I remember eating a slice of pizza, surrounded by a group of kids and the next thing I know I found myself walking around in the woods 100's of yards away, hours went by. I know because it was around noon when I was eating the slice of pizza and know it is around eight o'clock at night. I felt confused and disoriented and my clothes was dirty. I always wonder what happened to me that day. Everyone was looking for me and when we asked the group of kids that were with me when I was eating the slice of pizza. They all said that I just got up and walked away. Nothing remotely close to this has ever happened to me before or after this incident. I basically don't remember what happened for about eight hours!”

Mysterious Burn Spot on Lawn

Idaho Falls, ID - 2018-03-20: I had just arrived home from work. I was standing on the porch smoking a cigarette with my SO when she pointed to a spot nearby on the lawn that was dark. I thought maybe it was trash or debris, so I went to go clean it up. When I got closer, it became apparent that the earth had been burnt, although the grass on the burnt earth is still in tact. my oldest son (3) has been speaking of aliens and how he talks to them for approx. a week now. - MUFON

Alien Implant Cures Severe Back / Leg Pain

Canton, GA - 2015-10-14: I preface this story to say that I had severe back/leg pain for 10+ years. On October 15, 2015 I became an experiencer. I woke up from sleep paralysis that lasted between 10-20 minutes. There was a presence behind me but I could not move to see the presence. The being was doing a procedure on my back. I found over the next few weeks that my pain was gone. I am completely confounded because I suffered with it for so long. I am still symptom free. Consequently, I had an CT scan on October 17, 2016 and a piece of metal was found at my L2 vertebra. How this is possible that metal could be at my L2 vertebra? - MUFON

Shmelix...'Get her!'

“Very recently I had something very strange happen to me and I wanted to tell you all about it. There's a stray cat that's been coming to our yard for about a year now. She is somewhat feral, but you can also approach her at other times. She is a calico cat, but with some tiger stripes mixed in. We call her Shmelix. So one day, I saw that Shemlix was getting bigger and bigger, and I knew that it was because she got pregnant, so I wanted to get her spayed as soon as possible. I put Shmelix in the plastic carrier, however because she is somewhat feral, she started banging her body against the inside of it, however there is no way she could get out of it because it was sealed shut.

What was weird is that as I was walking down the street to hail a cab, a very weird, grinning sort of man with a top hat of sorts, was walking towards me. He started saying, 'Get her... Get her... Get her,' which was very weird in and of itself, however he quickly said, 'She is leaving.' When I looked inside the transporter the cat was gone, and when I looked at the street, she was running at full speed away from me. I was so freaked out by it that I immediately went into shock. There is literally no way she could have escaped. I immediately thought of those magician shows where a bunny disappears or a bunny comes out of a hat. It was pure magic, and I didn't know if this guy had anything to do with it, or if it was some sort of glitch in the matrix. I just know that when I saw the man, I didn't like the feeling I had. He seemed somewhat inhuman. He looked human but there was something about him, the way he uttered those words, 'Get her,' was cruel and sadistic in some way. Me struggling with the cat seemed like a game to him. That's my story, and I'm still freaked out about it, I don't know how she got out...it was virtually impossible unless this man made my cat teleport.

“Once when I was a child I was lying in bed watching TV. It was only my mom, brother and I in the house. My brother and mom were downstairs in the kitchen and I was upstairs in my mom's bed. Let me say, I wasn’t sleepy. I didn’t just wake up from sleeping a few minutes prior to this experience and I wasn’t under the influence of anything. I was 9 years old when I had this experience. Well while I was lying down watching TV, all of a sudden, I felt like a hand began to move under my pillow. It started from directly behind the bed and felt as if it was making its way to my back as the pillow began raising my head more and more as if someone was moving their hand and arm under the pillow. That’s exactly what it felt like and not only did I feel this, I heard it, just as if someone was moving their hand under a pillow. As that was happening it took me a moment to process what was going on. I blocked out the sound of the TV and all of a sudden I jumped up on the bed leaped off and ran as fast as I can to my mom and brother who are downstairs. Let me tell you I still remember the goosebumps from that day. Also I’m completely sane. I served in the US military and I had a certain clearance in the military, so I was interviewed along with 3 other people that knew me were interviewed. I can assure you I’m not crazy. My mother, brother and wife are the only ones that know this story. Do you know of anyone that has ever experienced something like this before? It only happened to me once by the way.”

Unknown Flying 'Devil'

In September 2009 - According to information provided by a family in the neighborhood of Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico (who requested anonymity), they described the event as follows:

"We were taking pictures of the house during reconstruction and really did not see anything, but when we were looking through the pictures to send them to print, we found what you see. Really do not know that it was but if you can say that in this area more strange things, such as passing lights, things we think are the devil"

Humanoid Observers?

Bear with me. This is a very detailed account of what I experienced, and quite frankly, have no way of explaining what exactly I witnessed and felt.

It was a little more than 5 years ago. I was sitting on my couch, talking on the phone with a friend about my upcoming baby shower. I was alone, which is normal. It was just after noon. Very suddenly, the atmosphere in my house got very thick and heavy. It also felt electrically charged. I looked over to the entryway leading into my kitchen when I saw a very tall (7+ feet) humanoid figure step out from behind the wall and immediately step back. It was "looking" in my direction when it stepped out and seemed to jump in surprise at the realization that I was looking at it. I told my friend I had to go and hung up, never taking my eyes off the entryway. Once I hung up the phone, I saw a smaller figure (5 to 6 feet tall) creep out of my hallway directly across from the other figure. It was hunched over, like it was trying to hide from me. It went towards my stairs and as it was ascending the stairs it turned and looked at me. It was almost like it was checking to see if I was still watching. And when it realized I was, it seemed to have a sort of "oh shit, she saw me" moment as well and ducked back down. I said hello. Immediately after speaking I heard a sound similar to bells but off somehow. The heaviness and static feeling dissipated instantly and I immediately knew I was alone and they had left. This whole thing took place in about a minute.

Now for their physical description. Their arms and legs were disproportionately longer than they should have been in comparison to their very skinny torsos. Long necks. Smallish heads. Think Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas. They appeared to be made of tv static and smoke. They seemed to be glowing from within. Not brightly, just a subtle glow all over. They were a grayish white color. They had no discernible facial features, but I knew when they were looking at me. They almost seemed purposely blurred. Like someone on a tv show that doesn't want their identity shown. The "smoke and static" was solid. It wasn't swirling or moving in anyway. They had mass. I could not see through them. The smaller one even had a shadow. Their movements were smooth and fluid like a humans. There was nothing odd or disconcerting about the way they moved. They behaved like people trying to sneak about without being seen.

I got the distinct impression that the taller one was male and the smaller one was female. I felt that they were studying or observing me in some capacity, and that I was absolutely not supposed to see them. Like it was supposed to be impossible to see them. They both genuinely seemed shocked that I could see them. They seemed familiar with my home. As if they'd been there a while. Never once during this did I feel scared. I never felt like I was in danger. They felt neutral, leaning towards benevolent. I felt confused and surprised. But nothing even close to fear. They gave off the vibe that they were disappointed and shocked that I had seen them and that had somehow broken their protocol. Like they had a job to do and failed. I don't know why I feel this way, that's just how I felt in the moment and still do to this day.

I don't believe there was any malice in what they were doing. I truly believe they were observing or studying me. Why, I don't know. There is nothing particularly interesting or exceptional about me.
