Unusual Meteor

“Living in the French Pyrenees, I was out with the dog one night looking to the north and saw what appeared to be a meteorite that resembled the famous Russian one. The difference was that it was parallel to the ground and broke into two pieces with the smaller part falling parabolically before exploding while the main part continued for a fraction of a second before shattering into pieces. I would estimate that it was no more than three miles away yet there was no sound or shock wave. Never did hear of anyone else seeing this but it's pretty much to be expected in France. Saw something similar a few months later but heading in the opposite direction and was far too slow to be space junk yet it too exploded. I have absolutely no idea of what these two things were.” - Michael Egan

'Gargoyle' Perched on Neighbor's Roof in Joliet, Illinois

I recently received the following account:

I believe I may have seen one about 10 years ago in far west Joliet. It was about 2:00 AM end of March beginning of April. I was watching TV with the window open slightly. I kept hearing a muffled cry almost like a woman crying in the distance. I finally decided to take a look and see what it was. I was looking all over the backyard and neighboring yards but didn’t see anything. When I was about to give up I heard it again. I noticed that it was coming from above me. I looked up and notice something about 4 feet tall sitting on the peak of the house behind me. I grabbed my phone to take a picture but when I was about to take the picture it turned its head to look at me. It scared the crap out of me. Then it dropped like it fell. Right before it hit the ground its wings came out and it swooped away. I couldn’t believe how big the wingspan was. DG

I talked to DG by telephone today. He believes it was the early spring of 2010 near County Rd. and Black Rd. in west Joliet, Illinois. DG states he heard what sounded like a woman crying at around 2 am local time. After awhile he looked out the back window and noticed a 4 1/2 foot dark colored entity perched on the peak of his neighbor's roof. The being was crouched down and reminded DG of a Gargoyle. He grabbed his phone to take a photo but was instantly halted when the being looked in his direction. DG said he didn't see the eyes, but 'knew' it was looking at him and that he was terribly frightened. In fact, he dropped his phone in shock.

The winged being stood and leaped from the roof, then dove towards the ground. As it descended, the huge 10-12 foot wings unfurled as it swooped upwards and quickly ascended into the night sky. DG never saw the wings flap as the being ascended. He did notice that it had pointed ears, but could not make out any further features on the face. The wings were attached from the shoulders to the legs and did not seem to have detached arms.

DG heard my live Monday interview with Mancow on WLS Radio in Chicago. Joliet, Illinois is approximately 45 miles southwest of Chicago. Lon

Aggressive Upright Canine Encounters Multiple Witnesses in Centre County, PA

Butch Witkowski recently received a telephone report of a large aggressive upright canine encounter in Rothrock State Park in Centre County, PA. Butch was on-site the next day (March 31st) and then filed the following account. This incident occurred within the 'Lycan Loop' in central Pennsylvania:

Bi-Pedal Report - March 30, 2019

First Case of Aggression Reported by a Bi-Pedal Canine in PA

Location: Centre County PA, Rothrock State Forest

Three couples hiking in the Rothrock State Forest just outside of Pine Grove Mills, PA encountered a Bi-Pedal Canine.

The couples state that between 1PM and 1:30 PM while hiking a large wolf like creature stepped out of the wooded area near a small clearing. The creature was staring at the group and when a female member of the party started screaming the creature took two or three steps towards the group bearing its teeth and growling. All witnesses agree it seemed the screaming definitely set it off to go to an aggressive movement in the direction of the group. The hikers left the area immediately running for their lives as they put it to investigators.

The description by all members of the group state the creature was between 8 and 10 feet tall, a large wolf head, yellow eyes, long muscular arms, massive body build and strange looking legs.

Investigators from the UFO Research Center of Pennsylvania and Phantoms and Monsters Fortean Research team met with witnesses and viewed area of sighting but no evidence found. The witnesses were very cooperative and all descriptions matched.

A more invasive investigation of the area is being planned as past reports have been in the general area of Centre County.

Red-Eyed 'Demon Dog'

The following account was recently forwarded to me:

My friends and I saw some sort of dog-like demon thing in eastern Iowa.

We were exploring this old house out in the country after dark, just looking around with maybe some mild vandalism. Well we had checked out the upstairs and most of the downstairs when I see a door that we hadn't been through yet.

I grabbed the door handle and suddenly had a feeling of dread come over me. I slowly pushed the door open and noticed that the room was slightly lit up with a dim red light that had no discernible source.

I got the door probably halfway open and heard an incredibly deep growl and saw the upper end of a dog thing, probably around the size of a German Shepard. It's teeth protruded past its upper and lower lips a rather significant amount, and it's stance was super hostile.

The thing that really scared me though was it's eyes, they were glowing red.

I noticed that there was blood and viscera all over everything, chunks of flesh and organs all over the floor and streaks of blood on the walls. The smell was overpowering.

I slammed the door and hightailed it out of there.

Here's the part where I'm an idiot. I went back about noon the next day. I had a huge knife with me when I went back to the door, and slowly grabbed the handle, but felt none of the dread from the night before. I pushed it open and I sh*t you not, this perfectly square, windowless room, was literally coated in blood and fur.

I could see what looked like 3 separate mutilated dog corpses. They weren't cut apart, they were shredded. I nearly threw up, shut the door, and left again. I'll never go back there again, especially after dark. - ER

Phantom Jogger

Ben from Tuscon, Arizona wrote to tell of a strange sighting he had:

“My name is Ben and I live in Tuscon, Arizona. This happened back in 1991. I was a young man back then and I was walking from my girlfriend's house at 3:00 AM. Back then you could walk whatever hour without being harmed or shot. Neighborhood's were somewhat safe back then. Now it's a different story, of course. So I was walking next to a fire station that is still there. There are many vacant lots around the fire station. I was almost to my home and about 30 feet from me, a ghostly figure appeared on my left and ran to my right. It also looked at me in mid-run, turning its head to look at me. Once it reached to the end of the pavement to my right, it just simply disappeared. I don't want to go the long way around to reach my house so I hurriedly pass where the apparition had been and ran the rest of the way home which was about a half of a mile. Once I got inside the house, I saw my dad sleeping on the couch and he asked what had happened to me. I admit, I looked like Bugs Bunny with my back against the door, breathing hard and fast. I told my dad what happened and he scolded me. What the hell was I doing that late at night, walking around the neighborhood? Anyway, I remember when we had moved into that house about a decade earlier, I would hear someone jogging late at night just about every night. I had the corner room next to the street so I wondered, maybe the jogger had passed away and didn't realize it. Or his demise continues to jog to this day.”

'The Snowman' of Calhoun County, WV

I recently received another 'Snowman' report from Calhoun County, WV. This witness called and told me about an experience she had when she was a teenager near Mt. Zion, WV. Not much detail, other than her and her mother briefly witnessed a 7-foot tall Bigfoot-like creature with white fur / hair. They saw it while they were on their porch during a December evening in 2010. The witness also called it 'the Snowman.' It made no sound and it quickly crossed the road in front of their home.

Below is a more detailed report I received in 2013:

I grew up in a rural area of Calhoun County, West Virginia. The land we lived on had been in my father's family for many generations and was surrounded by hundreds of acres of woodlands. My sister and I were raised to respect our elders and not to question our parents. Our parents stressed attending and succeeding at school.

My father was what you would call a handyman. There wasn't much that he couldn't do even though he hadn't received much schooling. My mother was a homebody and didn't care much about traveling about. My sister and I were warned about the dangers in the world, especially those dangers close to home.

Both our parents used to talk about 'the Snowman.' This was a terrifying spirit that lived in a hidden burial mound for most of the year. It would rise from the mound after the first snowfall and roam the area each night until the last frost. The Snowman was feared by the Mingo people who once lived here in the early 1700's. My father told us that there was a great massacre of Mingo people one night, not far from our home. The Snowman gathered the bodies and carried them to his hidden mound. He described the Snowman as a tall, rotund being with long white hair all over the body. But the most terrifying aspect was that the Snowman had no face, just long white hair draped over from it's head.

We were warned not to venture out in the dark. The house was kept quiet during those winter nights because we didn't want to draw the attention of the Snowman.

In January 1979, my sister and I were both in our early teens. One evening around 8PM we were in the kitchen doing homework at the table. Our father walked in from the living room and grabbed his coat by the door, then stepped out into the night. I asked my mother what he was doing and she told me that he had forgot to bring in the firewood for the night. No sooner had she responded to my question, my father rushed through the door. He grabbed one of the kitchen chairs and wedged it on the door. Then he opened the cellar door and retrieved his 12 gauge shotgun and a handful of pumpkin-ball shells. What had he seen?

He stood at the door and said "Snowman - he's out there." I ran upstairs to the attic so I could get a look out the window. My sister was right behind me. For almost 10 minutes, we noticed no movement. Then my sister said "look at the garden." There it was. It was huge, maybe 8 ft high. It would stand, walk a few feet, then crouch down digging into the hard frozen ground. It continued do this for several minutes. Then it stood up and moved closer to the house. Father was correct, there were no facial features! A second or two later it turned and moved into the woods. I never saw it again.

My mother is still with us and continues to live in the old house. She says that she has heard screaming at night, but believes it's the spirits of the Mingo people killed by the Snowman. Jesse

'I Encountered a Redcap Goblin'

I found something interesting today...never heard of this before:

Hey everyone, first time poster here. I've always been a firm believer in the paranormal and have had my fair share of strange occurrences/encounters. I'm quite curious to know if anyone has had a similar experience to mine.

Before I begin, If you're unfamiliar with Redcaps - they're a type of malevolent fae/goblin found in English folklore. I was a bit startled to discover this artists depiction looks disturbingly similar to what I'd seen, except the head was significantly larger than the body in my case. Also, it wasn't wielding a weapon from memory.

This was a very early childhood memory. I can't recall my exact age at the time, but I'd estimate that I was around 5-7 years old. Unfortunately I can only recount a small/specific point in the story, but nonetheless this is what happened. I was in my parents bedroom, crying in fear, as I witnessed what appeared to be a very short, malicious looking, fair skinned "goblin", wearing a pointed red cap. It simply stood on the end of the bed, laughing maniacally at me. My mother was trying to calm me down and had no idea why I was so hysterical, since she couldn't see or hear anything. So seemingly, only I was able to see this entity. That's all I can remember, sadly. I have absolutely no recollection of what happened after that and never saw this being again. Does anyone have thoughts or insight on what they believe I may have witnessed? - zanvyn

Grey Encounter After UFO Sighting

“I have a friend who seen a UFO. Her and her mother saw it. They lived on a farm in New Columbia, Pennsylvania. My friend said she went in the house after she saw the UFO. She went into her bedroom and sat on the bed when two aliens (small grey with big heads and black eyes) came into her room. After that she said she doesn’t remember anything. She blacked out. She won't go to a hypnotist because she doesn’t want to remember anything that happen after she blacked out.” - kay Grabell

Alien Driving Car?

I saw an entity in a car once back in 1969. This entity had a light bulb shaped head. I was nine at the time and didn't know much about bulb headed aliens. He was in a Mini Minor and he was driving along our street quite slowly. I remember looking at it as he passed by and thinking his head was too big and was touching the roof inside the car. It was only a passing moment but I've never forgotten it. I probably saw someone in a costume, but I'm not totally sure.” - jacqui webb

Chased by a 'Hairy Humanoid'

I recently came across the following account:

I saw and was chased by a humanoid...something in the woods outside my childhood home.

This was rural northern Wisconsin and I was 14. Up until that day I had zero fear of the woods. I spent most of my time out there exploring and feared nothing.

My parents had a lousy marriage and fought a lot and I felt more at home outside than in the house. On hot nights, I'd take a sleeping bag and sleep on the roof of an old shack on our property.

I saw bears, I saw wolves. They were always more afraid of me than me them. I didn't believe in ghosts, Bigfoot, demons, or even God. I only got lost out there once when dark fell sooner than I expected. I stayed calm, found the north star, and knew that if I continued south I'd eventually come across the old railroad tracks near my house. Even the thought of spending the night out there didn't bother me, the thought of my mom's rage when I didn't come home did.

So it was summer, I had just turned 14. My mom had left my father, father worked all the time, sister was living on her own. Once school was out it was me and my cat and this is before the Internet or smartphones.

We lived on a dead-end dirt road and around noon I took my usual stroll down the long driveway to check the mail. My cat followed me everywhere and I actually kind of relied on him to give me a heads up if there was a bear or something close by.

A bit of movement behind me as I stood at the mailbox made me aware there was something across the road in the trees but there were pesky deer everywhere. I heard a loud crash, like something very loudly making its way through the brush.

It's like every classic horror story. My brain had no capability for the thought of anything paranormal or spooky. I simply tucked the mail under my arm and headed into the woods to investigate. My cat followed close behind. I got about 10 yards in when I noticed what I hadn't noticed before. There was no noise. Nothing. It was a beautiful June day and there wasn't a single bird singing, no insects, no leaves rustling. It was absolutely silent.

At the same time I registered the silence, I got that eerie feeling that something was watching me. I stopped immediately and started scanning the woods for deer. Hunters know what I'm talking about when I say you look for the shape of a deer instead of trying to pinpoint them by color.

That's when I spotted it. Two brown furry legs, the top of it concealed by tree branches. I went to sigh with relief when my cat hissed. I looked down and he was completely poofed out with his back arched. Looking at the same thing I was.

I looked back up and the legs moved. Not like a deer. Like a human. Everything happened at once after that. I dropped the mail, picked up my cat by the scruff and ran for it. Whatever was out there with me was running after me. I have never run so fast in my life. I tore up the driveway, into the house, locked the door and grabbed the phone.

I called my next door neighbor who was the ex-chief of police and he came over immediately with his pistol. He checked out the spot I was in and found nothing. I was so hysterical I was in tears. He stayed with me until I was able to reach my mom and have her come get me.

Of course they thought I was completely high or delusional. I know exactly what I saw and felt. It was broad daylight. I never felt safe in those woods again and stopped sleeping outside.

NOTE BY WITNESS: I should probably add that I thought I was looking at a deer's forelegs, but once it took a step I realized the legs were far too thick and human (but with fur) for that. And there were only two legs, not four. Plus I realized it was way too tall for a deer to be concealed by the tree branches. It all happened within seconds.

I was (and still am) the calm, rational middle child and my parents trusted me (they let me sleep outside. Sometimes we all did to catch a meteor shower). I'd casually mention running into a wild animal and my Dad would just as casually say "You made a lot of noise? Good."

I was quiet and sensible and had never freaked out about anything before then. I had my neighbor's number for emergencies and had never called him prior to that. This is how shaken I was. I was embarrassed when he and my mom looked at me like a fool and later, when my Dad also didn't believe me.

Not once did my instincts set me off in those woods until that very moment when I absolutely beyond a doubt realized I was prey and ran for my life.

Lion-Like Creature and UFO Appear at Same Location

Bailey from Alabama called to tell of an experience he had:

“I want to share something with you. I'm 71 years old and I've done a lot of security guard work. I go to work about 9:00 o'clock at night when I was working and there's just one stretch of road in Alabama that it's like...you're gonna think I'm nuts. I've always been kind of a believer but I never really seen something so solid, but I saw these three lights and I thought it was a guy with an ultra-light who lived not far from there. He had an ultra-light in the field. I said, what is this idiot doing out in with an ultra-light at night because it's about 9:30, at night.

Well, it kept coming and I slowed down. I never stopped and it went over me and there was these three lights and it was about the size of a...it looked like about the size of an ultra-light but there was no sound and it was about as high up as two telephone poles above me. It went right on across me and just drifted off out of sight.

At that same spot about a month before, I had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting what I thought was a dog but it was huge. It had like a lion's mane but the rest was kind of more like a dog, kinda like that thing you've seen on YouTube where that guy dresses his dog up like a lion and scares people. He was coming from the same direction as this triangular thing was but a month or so before. He just crossed the road and went on up to the fence on the other side and just disappeared to the south so I don't know if it's one place that something's coming out of there or just that's where my body chose to shutdown and I went totally insane. I could never tell anybody. (Church asks what the object looked like when it over). There was nothing there but the sky, dark, black sky with these three lights. I told a couple of people...I don't know, I told a couple of people when I got to work what I saw but they know I'm crazy and then they thought I was nuts.

And the creature, whatever it was, it was like twice the size of, I guess it was like a big St. Bernard or something. And it looked at me and just went on across the road up to the fence and then it was gone. And this all happened in the exact same spot on this road. I know where it was and I don't if it is correlated but at about the same time of night because I was on my way to work because I had a schedule I had to keep. I live about 250 miles from there now. I live down on the Gulf Coast. This happened in the middle of the state, not far from Auburn, Alabama.”

Newly Compiled Humanoid Encounters

A few more newly compiled humanoid accounts from the database of Albert S. Rosales:

Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Date: 2002
Time: night

The witness was a security guard working in a big fenced in yard in a rural area. One night he was getting ready to go to the restroom in the main building. One minute he was walking and the next he was in front of four, what he called “Bird People” that stood about 4 feet tall. Their face was humanoid, but sort of a combination between human and bird. Their bodies were shaped like a bird, but their faces were different. It was flat gray, their eyes were slit-like and the nose was kind of hooked like a bird’s, they had small mouths. They were standing apart and they were four of them and they stared at the witness as he stared at them. His next memory was of walking towards the restroom, he does not recall seeing the entities leave. The next night he was sitting in his patrol car as he always did when he heard a beautiful sound, between a bird and a human. It was like they were “singing” to him. It seems as they knew he had acknowledge them and they had acknowledged him. It was an enchanting melody, according to the witness.

Time: unknown

A United States special forces unit was supposedly operating in a remote area on a mission to find a patrol with which they had lost radio contact and aid if they were in danger. The team was making its way along a goat path when they allegedly noticed that the ground was littered with bones and a piece of what ominously appeared to be broken communications equipment, as well as large, heavy rocks that looked as if they had been arranged into patterns by hand. It was claimed that as the unit examined these stone patterns and the piece of smashed equipment they were suddenly confronted by a creature with long red hair and a shaggy beard, that stood a truly enormous 12 to 15-feet in height. The towering, humanoid beast reportedly carried a long, pike-like weapon of some kind which it used to promptly stab one of the men and the rest of the team immediately opened fire on it, managing to apparently kill it. The entire violent episode only lasted around 30-seconds. It is then claimed that a military helicopter was sent to retrieve the body of the creature but was unable to, due to its massive size. One of the witnesses would say:

It was too big, we couldn’t move it, it smelled worse than a skunk – a corpse that’s been around for a while. The communication was sent out that we had a very large, possibly human creature.

One C-130 pilot later claimed that he helped when the corpse of what has come to be known as the Kandahar Giant was eventually moved to a military base in Ohio, and that it was revealed to be a humanoid creature that measured 12 feet long and weighed approximately 1,100 pounds. What happened to the alleged body after that is anyone’s guess. Witnesses claimed that they were later ordered to alter their reports on the engagement to remove all mention of the giant they had encountered, and that the government had gone to great lengths to cover it all up. As to what the creature could have been, those who believe the story point to the fact that its description matches up very well with a legendary race of giants written of in the Bible which are called the Nephilim, and are described as often carrying lances as weapons.

Time: 02:30 a.m.

Delfino Garcia Zarate was at his post as security guard at the Technical Secondary school # 98 Mariano Escobedo and was making the rounds in the patio area when he heard a strong sound resembling a bird moving its wings at a very high rate of speed. Curious he looked up in the direction from which the sound originated and was able to see a hairy man-like figure with two huge dark wings. Terrified he ran into the school and hid in one of the schoolrooms until the morning. Around the same time a woman living in the Unidad Puerta Grande suburb was out in her back patio washing some dishes when she also heard a loud thrashing sound overhead, at first she thought it could had been an eagle and looked up but was surprised to see a hairy man-like figure floating overhead on a pair of huge wings, terrified she also ran into the house. Also around the same time in Cocolapam suburb a man and his son were repairing the TV antenna on their roof when they noticed a winged creature, gray and hairy in appearance that was approaching their location from a northerly direction, the winged humanoid glided on a pair of huge wings and quickly disappeared from sight. Another woman reported being awake around 3:00 a.m. taking a shower when she looked out the bathroom window in the direction of nearby Cerro De Escamela was surprised to see a huge winged dark creature resembling some type of prehistoric being gliding slowly over the area. Others in nearby Cerro Del Borrego have seen a similar winged creature.

Date: January 27 2003
Time: night

The witness was asleep in bed with her boyfriend when she suddenly awoke and looked at the doorway and noticed two creatures that were “squishy” in appearance. They were dark colored and about three feet tall. By her bedside there was another creature, which was very tall, thin, and large yellow eyes, it was grayish to almost lime-green in color. Terrified she pulled the covers over her head, but suddenly she did not feel afraid anymore. She then felt very confused and does not know if she left her bed, she could not speak. At one point she was lying on her stomach and something was being inserted in her rectum. When her fear returned a creature that was somehow made to appear human comforted her telling her not to be afraid that she would not be hurt. The tall creature seemed very comforting towards the witness; he stood over her, patted her on her head and mentally told her that they were not done. Soon she found herself back on her bed, very scared and confused.
