'Mannequin Man' in the Mall
“Something happened to myself and my boyfriend at the time about three years ago (2016) in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We were in a mall before work - in the very early morning hours when they had just opened and as we walked into a store. We both noticed, at the very same time, a very odd looking man sitting on one of the benches, reading a newspaper. He had one leg crossed over the other at a right angle with his arms outstretched, holding this newspaper and a small smug smile on his face, but there was something very, very wrong about him. He had a baseball cap on over hair that looked like a wig and mirrored sunglasses, but even so, we could both tell that his facial features were not normal, in that beyond the thin, smug smile, that never moved, never changed, there were no other discernible features - no freckles, no wrinkles, no pores, no nothing. His entire posture was all wrong and unnatural and he did not move even in the slightest as we walked by. He was also oddly dressed - it was an incredibly hot summer day and he was dressed in long heavy pants and a flannel long sleeve, buttoned right to the top. My boyfriend and I actually turned to one another at the same time as we passed this man and entered the store we simultaneously commented on the oddness of this fellow.
My BF at the time said something like "Did you see that guy?...what the @#$^! was that?" Meanwhile I was saying "That guy looks like a mannequin!" We then both turned around to look at him again together and he was completely gone. We exited the store immediately and looked all around, but the mannequin man was nowhere. For the rest of the day we laughed about how mannequin man's experimental day out "blending in" with us humans hadn't gotten off to a good start and it would be back to the drawing board for the aliens or what have you. The thing about it is that for the entire duration of this encounter, it was as if everything in my body, mind and soul was screaming at me that something was very much not right and that this was something unique. If you've ever had that feeling, you know what I mean - it's pure and primal instinct.” AC

'Creepy Old Lady' in the Woods
I recently came across the following bizarre account:
My story takes place back in the winter of 2009. I was 15 years old at the time.
There were these woods by my house that my friends and I used to spend a lot of time in. These woods were massive. If you didn't know your way around, it would be easy to get lost in them. But it was at this point in my teen years, when most of my friends lost interest in spending time in the woods. But I on the other hand, always enjoyed being in nature. And as a result, I was spending a lot of time by myself in these woods.
If I remember correctly, it was a cold and dreary day in February. I was walking through the woods, listening to my MP3 player and smoking a cigarette. But then out of nowhere, I noticed something moving around in the distance. At first I thought it was maybe a deer or some sort of animal. But then as I took a closer look, I noticed it wasn't an animal...it was a person. Now one thing I should mention is, these woods were well-known for being isolated and vastly-empty; void of all humans. Aside from my friends and I, not once did I ever encounter another human being in the area.
Instead of running away, turning around, or walking in the opposite direction...for whatever reason, I wasn't afraid, and decided to approach this random mysterious person. I took off my headphones and shouted, "Hey you!" What would happen next would shock me to the core.
I came face-to-face with the creepiest old lady I've ever seen in my life. She had thick, wild, and frizzy gray hair. She was wearing what looked like a brown coat, along with a dark blue dress underneath. And along with that, she was wearing what looked like sandals. The weather outside was far too cold for sandals. I immediately got a bad vibe from her. I took a few steps back. Nervously, for whatever reason, I said, "Oh hey, I was just passing through." I honestly didn't know what else to say. This lady had the most frightening face I've ever seen. I'm not trying to sound mean...but she looked like some sort of demon. Her eyes were wide open and bulging out of her head. She looked like she was high on meth or something.
She then began aggressively sprinting towards me and yelling in a somewhat creature-like manner. For an old lady, she certainly had some impressive running abilities. I began running as fast as I possibly could in the opposite direction. But surprisingly, she managed to keep up with me. And trust me, at age 15, I was a super fast runner. Then for whatever reason, I randomly decided to climb up a tree, in order to get away from her. I climbed up the tree as high as I possibly could. Down below, this creepy old lady attempted to climb up the tree, but failed to do so. I screamed at her, saying things like, "What do you want?! Leave me alone!" I really didn't know what to do. Me and this old lady proceeded to stare at each other for about an hour. She had a terrifying look in her eyes, as if she was possessed. I'll never forget that look. She looked like she wanted to kill me. She kept making strange sounds, and I noticed that most of her teeth looked rotten, and many were missing. But then, out of nowhere, there was a noise in some nearby bushes, and she went aggressively running towards it. Her behavior was almost zombie-like. But this gave me a chance to run away. I climbed down out of the tree, ran as fast as I could out of the woods, and returned home.
The next day, I told my friends about what had happened, but they didn't believe me. We went searching for the lady, but couldn't find her. What baffled me was...what was an old lady doing in the middle of the woods? Where did she come from? Why was she running after me? What happened to her? Till this day, there are still so many unanswered questions. But even till this very day, I can still see her face in my mind. Her face actually haunts me. And that encounter is what created my fear of 'creepy old ladies'. SG

El Paso Woman Claims Physical Attack by 'Desert Ape'
On Tuesday July 2, 2019 I received a telephone call from an El Paso, Texas resident who had a physical encounter with an unknown being. The witness, 'YP', along with her husband and young son, were enroute to an area southeast of El Paso in order to do some stargazing. YP had to relieve herself, so they stopped the car near some brush. She heard something moving about and witnessed a 7+ ft. hairy being emerge from an underground opening. It chased her and made contact on her back and legs. She fell and was on the ground trying to get away. In the meantime the husband tried to help her.
I needed to find a researcher / investigator in the El Paso area, and was directed to Bruce Cornet through Sharon Buydens Cornet. Bruce contacted YP and submitted the following information:
Lon, went with YP, her husband and son to locality. She tried to explain what happened, but could not be certain of what bush she crawled under to escape her attacker, who touched her and scratched her. Mesquite thorns abundant, and did scratch her. Bruise-like injuries on her back she said were caused by touch, not blunt force. It was 10:00 pm and dark in those bushes, leading to her difficulty recognizing plants in daylight. Soil too hard for footprints. Method of creature rising up out of a hole not supported by evidence, which shows no burrow or circular disturbance. Grasses between bushes all laid down as if trampled. Shallow depressions with exposed soil everywhere, probably due to scavenging animals. Some broken branches and a couple bent trunks to Mesquite bushes. Strange. She did save shirt worn which was between skin and whatever touched her back. I told her to not wash it and put it in plastic bag to preserve any tissue from what touched her. Bruce

Bruce Cornet describes images below: Describing size of hole which creature emerged from, and how far it had emerged when she turned away and ran. She demonstrated how she crawled between bushes with creature behind her and grabbing her right leg, leaving scratches, which you already posted. She said its fingers sharp as if it had claws - not like Bigfoot fingers. May be another type of paranormal creature, not Bigfoot.
Sharon Buydens Cornet on her Desert Apes web page lists Bigfoot sighting near Horizon East Lake several years ago. Dry lake within two miles of new locality. YP was very emotional and wants her story known. I have to be concerned about hoaxing with no physical evidence other than scratches and bruise-like marks on her lower back. Her young son does talk as if event did occur.
Their two dogs accompanied them stargazing that far away from city lights. They became nervous, sniffed the air, then bolted, running away. I didn't meet their dogs. To the North in upper States and Canada, I saw documentary on wraith-like creatures that attack humans at night. They live near lakes. Bigfoot has fingernails like that of humans. Not claws. Her scratches look like narrow sharp claws. She said her leg not near a bush when scratches occurred. She rolled on her left side and tried to kick attacker when it allegedly grabbed her leg. Sharon Buydens Cornet offered the following information:
A couple of thoughts from me about this. Although I prefer to keep it scientific, this story reminds me a lot of my last witness in this same area. Lon, I posted the link to my website and report on your wall yesterday. The lady also mentioned a hole in the ground (but the creature walking down into it rather than climbing up out of it), yet in daylight at the same location proved no opening was there — we even dig into the loose sand and checked the area and she insisted it was the right spot. What to make of it? Did this new witness have any knowledge of my website and that story? I would ask questions to the little boy and have him tell it as he remembered it happening.

Another thought...too bad it was nighttime and all she could see was black. The hair of every Bigfoot sighting in the area that I’ve investigated shows three colors - a dark brownish-black, a reddish undertone, and a faded grey tips we think from sun exposure maybe (or old age, but I doubt this in every case). Also, another feature of arm hair (that I purposefully leave out of my reports) was not witnessed here due to the darkness. Too bad.
The claws like that I have only heard about from the “grinner” type of Bigfoot creature, but they are tall and quite thin rather than bulky. Did she say what his physique was like (maybe no chance to see it). If you scroll down on my webpage you’ll see an account by Larry Kelm who claims to have walked into a portal opening by accident while hiking and saw a grinner who had spade-shaped fingernails. Freaked him out and he backed out and ran miles to home. But he got a single tiny scratch on his neck as the creature tried to grab him, which later got inflamed and infected severely. This lady, two days after the scratches appears to be healing nicely. Only the bruises appear red on top of the purple color.
Grinners use portals, have claws/sharp nails, and grab aggressively at people, but this account seems to have some differences. If it’s the same type of being as my former witness in the same area, then it would not be a grinner’s body type and still be more in line with a regular Bigfoot creature of the southwest desert, which I have coined “Desert Apes”.
NOTE: JC Johnson mentioned a similar unusual breed of Bigfoot that inhabited the Four Corners area - very tall and aggressive with long talon-like fingers. I'm not positive that this is the same creature, but it is intriguing. Lon

Trip to Sedona, Arizona
Hi Lon,
I just got back from a trip to Sedona, Arizona (which everybody knows is one of the world's premiere paranormal hotspots). One day, we went to the "ghost town" of Jerome, which is on a mountainside basically on the other side of the valley from Sedona. Now, this valley (part of the Verde Valley) has historically been off-the-charts when it comes to paranormal activity. The infamous Bradshaw Ranch is located down below, and previous owners have seen thousands of multi-colored orbs, small alien beings, UFO craft, a white bigfoot, a 5-foot-tall dinosaur, various large reptilian prints, and other things. In addition, the son of the owners, under hypnosis, recounted abduction by Gray aliens. The ranch was mysteriously bought by the U.S. government in 2003 but now is used by Northern Arizona University. Many researchers are convinced that a major portal exists on the ranch, and there are literally books written about the place.
Furthermore, the owners and others were sure that a secret military base was located on a nearby ranch since black helicopters, and even large planes, were seen flying very low to the ground and disappearing into a nearby canyon. There were also numerous white SUVs and tractor-trailers driving through the desert in the same direction all hours of the day and night. In addition, dozens of hikers have recounted being confronted by M16-toting soldiers in black bearing no insignias or patches on their uniforms, and being told to turn back and get out of the area.
We went on an off-road Jeep tour of the red rocks, and our guide told us that drivers still see various strange things come down from the sky and disappear into the canyons. One could go on and on about the strangeness of this area.
While in Jerome, I took a photo of the Sliding Jail there, which is a jail that broke away from its parent building circa 1929 and slid down the hill to where it lies today. It wasn't until I got back home that I noticed an object in the sky above and to the right of the jail. At first I thought it was a bird, but it would have to be abnormally large to be one. And although it's tough to make out, it doesn't seem to look like a plane or helicopter.
I'm not saying this is some extraterrestrial craft, but I will say that it's a somewhat weird sight in a very weird location. -Keith in NJ

My 'Skinwalker' Experiences
I recently received the following account:
Growing up, I lived in Northeastern Arizona. Literally about 5 miles south of the Navajo reservation in Winslow. Naturally, being that close to the reservation (or “The Rez”) skinwalkers were a HUGE topic of conversation amongst the locals and we all took it very seriously. Stories of personal experiences abounded. I was no different.
My family had gone camping in a little spot about 50 miles or so south of town called Hart Canyon, near Wiggins crossing (if anyone is interested). We had been there all day and I was extremely familiar with the area as we had camped there 20 or so times before. So my parents let me just wander about alone in the woods. This was back in the early 90’s.
Anyway, I had some G.I. Joes that I had been playing with in the nearby creek. About 80 yards from our campsite. There were not other campers there with us. My mom had called me back to camp for dinner, so I left and ate. Played around camp for a while and realized that I’d forgotten my toys back at the creek. So I took a flashlight and headed back that way. I knew right where I had left them so in no time I found them and grabbed them up. As I was squatted down to grab them on the edge of the water, a sudden urgency that I’d never felt before ran down my spine. I remember feeling frozen because of the fear. Like the little boy on ET when the alien comes out of the field for the first time and he’s trying to scream for his family.
I looked up and pointed my flashlight to the other side of the creek and about 10 yards down the way. I saw something. At first I thought it was a deer. But it was standing up. So I thought it may be a bear. But it was too skinny and not enough poofy hair. It skunked behind a tree, and peered out slightly at me.
I seriously was too scared to move. I had just read a bit about Bigfoot for the first time, since it wasn’t really popular in my area. I thought for a long time that that’s what I saw.
I finally had seen enough to gather my wits and scrammed as fast as I could back to camp. I told my parents and they kind of dismissed it as my imagination. So I just stayed close the rest of the trip.
About 2 years later, I was at my house. I had two dogs. They were outside dogs, lived their whole lives in my backyard. One night they went psycho. Barking at first at something in the alley behind my house, then they both started whimpering. I had my window open slightly and one of my dogs straight up jumped up to the window, frantically CHEWED THROUGH THE SCREEN of the window, forced its way into the house and would not leave the house for 3 days.
Another time when I was about 13. We used to play night games in the town. Mostly - there being nothing much else to do - we would walk around our neighborhood and act suspicious so the cops would come chase us around. And we run down the alleyways and hop into random folks backyards to hide.
Now, it was extremely common to see an intoxicated Navajo or Hopi in the alley. So it was no big deal to see one in the alley behind my house that night as we (we being 2 of my friends and myself) ran from a police car hot on our tail. We saw him plain as day standing in our way. We ran around him and jumped into the nearest yard to hide. We waited for the cop to pass us and hopped back out. Literally about 3 minutes went by. We ran back the way we came and as we got to the point where the drunk man had been, he was gone! In his place was a coyote sitting there watching us. We ran right past it. Feet from it. And anyone who knows coyotes knows they will bailout WAY before you get close to them. This bugger held his ground and calmly sat and watched us run past him. We all freaked out and stayed inside for a month.
My last experience was when I was about 15 or 16. My brother has a girlfriend that lived in a small community south of Winslow called Starlight Pines. About 25 miles-ish. Well, we went to go see her one day. And as we drove out, about 15 miles out we saw a native guy standing on the side of the road. This was quite odd because the Rez was north of town and it was rare to see anyone on foot south of town because it’s just desert and forest for literally 80 miles. Anyway, we see this guy, he looked normal enough. Flannel shirt. Jeans.
We got to our destination and hung out with my brother's girlfriend and her family well into the night when we decided to head back home. Hopped in his truck, a Chevy S10, and drove back the way we came. In the same spot we saw the native dude, he was still there! I remember thinking, that dude is crazy standing out there all day and into the night, what’s he doing?
Right as we passed him we hear a loud BANG on the back of the truck. At first I thought we hit an animal but I hadn’t felt anything that we’d run over. I turned around and looked out the back window. My brother started to slow down, thinking there may be something wrong with the truck. In the brake lights I see the native guy chasing after us! We are easily going 55 to 60 at this point as we were about to stop. The guy is in the road, FEET behind us! I scream at my brother to not stop! 'Gun it, man! Gun it!!' He does and being a Chevy S10 it had a speed governor on it at 80. 2 miles! This guy keeps up with us. We are seriously freaking out! I asked my brother what if we don’t make it back to town or what about when we have to slow down once we get close?
After those two miles that stretched forever, I looked back and he was gone!!
We got home, booked it into the house and told our parents. Next morning, I get up to head somewhere and look at my brother's truck thinking about the night before. I wondered what the loud bang was just before we started getting chased. Inspecting the truck, I found a handprint smeared in the dust from about 2/3 over to the right then smeared to the right taillight. I never went there again.
Sorry it was so long. But those are my experiences with what I’m convinced were skinwalkers. AMA

An Experiencer's Unique Daughter
I recently received the following information from an experiencer who I'm going to refer to as 'EC.' She has lived in Ohio all her life, particularly in Franklin County:
At the time of my first encounter, I was a 23-year-old mom and newlywed. My husband was a proud and possessive dad. And of course my son was spoiled and cried a lot. One particular night, my husband and I had settled in after a minor disagreement about whether or not our son should have his bed in our room or his own. I was a little upset, so I turned away from my husband because I didn't want to be hugged or embraced like we normally did. Within the hour my husband had fallen asleep. However, I was having a difficult time, so I just laid there, staring at the ceiling. For some unknown reason, I was feeling anxious, and restless. Every creaking sound of the furnace or heating vent kept me awake.
Finally, around 12:30 or 1:00 AM I began to doze off, as I felt my body relaxing.
Just as I was entering my deep sleep mode, I felt the covers moving as if someone was climbing up on the bed. In my head I thought, there's no way my son could have climbed out of his baby bed and made it to our room. He couldn't even walk at the time. I also knew my husband was fast asleep because he snored a little. At that point, I decided to turn over on my side and look over the bed. As I began to move, I felt myself be straddled with my back pinned to the mattress. My eyes and mouth felt that they were sealed shut. As much as I wanted to scream and wiggle I couldn't. This lasted for about 2 or 3 minutes. As soon as I called out the name of Jesus 3 times in my mind, the pressure lifted. Suddenly, I yelled out my husband's name. He abruptly woke up and asked what was wrong. I started crying saying that someone was in our house and just lifted off the bed. He turned on the light and I began yelling for him to call the police. I ran into our son's room while he called the police.
I begged him not to go downstairs until the police came, but he went downstairs anyway in his pajamas. When the police arrived, they searched the house thoroughly, even the basement. There was no sign of any break in so they left. I kept panicking assuring my husband that someone had been in the room, sat on my stomach and covered my mouth and eyes. My heart was beating fast and I was afraid to go to sleep, but afraid to be up by myself. I begged my husband not to go to work the next day. He assured me that he would call during lunch and check on me. That day, I kept my door opened and locked the basement. From that day forward, I wanted to move, and I was afraid to be left alone. When I told my grandmother what happened, she said that it was the 'devil riding me.' I just thought it was a demon trying to attack me because there was friction and discourse in my home, and I was a young new mom.
Over the years, I started having dreams that extended beyond my normal sleep pattern. In other words, during my waking hours I felt that the same people I dreamed about were still watching me during the day. They were discussing me and following me everywhere I went as if I were being observed by a parallel dimension. As I travelled, ate and even showered, I felt eyes on me. I never told anyone for fear of being identified as "strange".
Five years later, I became pregnant from another relationship, well and after my divorce from my son's dad. I was quite surprised, seeing that the big gap in my pregnancies ever occurred, and seeing that I had an IUD (intrauterine device) inserted a year before to ensure that I would not become pregnant. The biggest surprise was that the IUD had to be removed and I was already 5 weeks pregnant. As my pregnancy progressed, I was worried that my baby would be affected by the device or that she would have a birth defect. Nonetheless, I worked during my pregnancy, walked a lot, and even fell on my stomach at 8 1/2 months, yet my baby girl was more resilient than her older brother. Nonetheless, during my pregnancy, there were times when I felt my body being levitated a few times in the night. I even remember waking up, not being able to open my eyes as I was lowered back to my bed.
During my childbirth, the doctors found an extra mass on other ovary. I was gray, its shape resembled a human ear and slippery like a mussel or piece of octopus. The doctors placed it in a plastic bag and gave it to me. I inquired of my gynecologist if this mass was possibly another baby that never formed and they just said 'possibly.' Ironically, despite the hard work, walking and falling never affected my daughter. She has never endured childhood diseases, had a healthier weight than her older brother, her teething came earlier, she learned to walk earlier, and she is much more intelligent than her brother (although both are smart and in the medical field). My daughter is very independent, captures everyone's attention, and has traveled and been accepted in many parts of the world she has travelled. After my daughter's birth and becoming of age, I no longer experience being watched. However, I have developed a strong perception and extra sensitivity to people and voices of people in a psychological and spiritual sense. Nowadays, I feel that there is another entity working inside me, influencing me, and speaking to me from within my brain. It's not a noise I hear. It's like a suggestion of words being transmitted to me at times, giving me instructions.
When I encounter certain persons, I can feel their personalities or coldness. People find themselves saying things to me that they don't realize. Later, when I bring up a conversation that we've had, those same people say, "I didn't tell you that" or "how did you know that?" So I just stopped telling them things because they look at me strangely. I feel that my hypersensitivity is because of my encounters with species not of our likeness. I felt I was observed from a highly intelligent transmission within our galaxy but beyond this Earth. My daughter is shocked and thinks its unique how I can duplicate some of her thoughts and conversations with her husband, while living in a different state. She lives in Illinois and I live in Ohio. I bring up words and private conversations she's had with her husband. Thanks for reading. EC

'Monster of Sister Lakes' in Michigan
'Huge Monster' Frightens Girls at Sister Lakes
The 'Monster of Sister Lakes' made a daylight appearance today, terrorizing three young girls and causing one of them to faint. Joyce Smith, 13: Patsy Clayton, 12, and her sister, Gail, 13, said they were walking along a wooded road in Silver Creek Township about 9:15 AM when the 'monster' suddenly appeared. Joyce saw him first and promptly fainted. Patsy got a good look at the creature before it ducked into the woods. Gail was too far away to see it. After the 'monster' fled, the girls revived Joyce and they ran to a neighboring home and telephoned police. Sheriff's deputies armed with rifles rushed to the area. Joyce said the creature 'did not look like a man,' Patsy, who said she saw it at close range, said it 'looked like a bear.' She said it was about seven feet tall and 'had a black face.' Earlier, authorities had ended the search for the 'monster' after thousands of residents poured into the area, creating a massive traffic jam. Area residents have been on edge in recent days since reports began circulating that the monster is back. Terrified residents have described the monster as about nine feet tall and weighing 500 pounds. Cass County sheriff's deputies said the presence of the monster has been reported off and on for about two years. Mrs. John Utrup of nearby Dewey Lakes, Michigan, told the sheriff's deputies the beast chased her into her home Tuesday night. She said she was saved when her dogs barked and drove the monster away. Other descriptions said it was covered with black hair up to its neck and had eyes that glowed like an animal that had a light shining in its eyes. Various witnesses said the monster made noises 'like a tamed goose' and 'a baby crying.' Cass County Deputy Sheriff Ernest Kraus said deputies were dispatched into the area in which the monster had been reported. They were armed with deer rifles and would stake out the area 'until we solve this.' But deputies said the area was inundated with a flow of curiosity seekers and all the officers were forced to direct traffic. 'We had all the men we could spare up there and had to get some help from Van Buren County 'to take care of the traffic,'a spokesman said. He said man cars were loaded with up to six people. 'We don't know what it is. We don't even know if it exists,' the sheriff's spokesman said. 'But there have been complaints by about 10 reputable persons and we have to check them out.' Kraus said it has not been precluded the object of the extensive search in progress is a gorilla. 'We have had no reports of any circus gorillas having escaped by the description of several persons matches that of a gorilla-hair up to the neck, widespread eyes and about nine feet tall. 'Whatever it is, it could have been in that swampy and wooded area for some time.' Authorities also theorized the creature could be a big bear. Tracks found in the mud showed an imprint of 3 3/4 inches at the heel and spanned six inches across the foot. The general area in which the monster has been reported is on the Cass Van Buren County line. The area is inhabited by year around occupants as well as the location of many summer resorts and cabins. Kraus said many witnesses agreed with Mrs. Utrup in the description of the monster. 'That many people can't be wrong, so there must be something out there,' he said. He said that officers from two counties investigated similar reports about two years ago but were unable to locate the mysterious creature. 'I hope we can find out what the score is,' Kraus said. 'Women are terrified and refuse to leave their homes without escorts.' Gordon Brown, Dowagiac, Michigan, said he saw the monster Tuesday night in the headlights of his car on the farm of Harold Utrup, brother-in-law of Mrs. Utrup. 'It's no bear,' Brown insisted. 'It had a face like a human.'

Massive Avian Cryptid Observed in Lihi, Utah
I recently received a telephone call from an eyewitness 'JR' who claims she observed a huge winged creature in Lihi, Utah.
This incident occurred in the summer of 2017, on a very hot clear day at approximately midday. JR states that she had stopped for a traffic light when she noticed several Sandhill Cranes flying across the sky in front of her. She says that she was about 150-200 feet away. Apparently this is a nesting area for Sandhill Cranes.
As she watched, she saw a large dark wing creature descending towards the cranes. As it got closer, she was astonished by the size. It was definitely avian in form, with feathered wings that she estimates spanned 20 feet are more. JR has a Biology degree and is well-versed in the local avian wildlife.
The monstrous bird literally snatched one of the Sandhill Cranes, rose up and ascended on a thermal. It quickly headed off and away from the area. JR said that she noticed a band of white color on the front edge of the wings. She likened the shape to that of a Golden Eagle, but that the body was smaller in comparison to the huge wings. She also said the massive bird was 'at least' 4-times the size of the Sandhill Cranes!
JR said that she noticed only one other car at the intersection and doubts that they witnessed the event. She contacted her professor and asked for his opinion. He was flummoxed and told JR that she must have misidentified the bird. She is positive at what she saw. JR has made many attempts to identify the cryptid bird, but has been frustrated. 'Little Humanoid' Encounters
This first story is from my father.
During one particular summer, my father - who had been toiling out in the yard - had decided to come inside to get away from the heat and take a little break. He said he went into his bedroom and laid down on the mattress on his back, looking up to the ceiling. After some time, just enjoying the silence and the warm buzz of the empty room, he heard the sound of paper rustling softly to his side. Thinking perhaps it was a mouse, he turned his head very slowly (careful not to scare it away) and was startled to see a small humanoid figure rummaging through some newspaper that was near my parents' dresser. He said it was a little person, and that it was dressed in dark brown rags.
My father recalled watching it for a few seconds in disbelief, and that was when the figure stopped dead in its tracks, as if it suddenly realized that it had been noticed. At that moment, he said it turned quickly and walked through the wall, vanishing. As soon as it disappeared, he jumped up off the bed to search the spot the figure had just occupied, even feeling at the wall where it had gone through. But there was nothing there. If you've ever seen the film "Cat's Eye" (based off of a collection of Stephen King stories) my father claims that the little person he saw closely resembled the little creature that was living in the little girl's room. I'm in my mid-thirties, and to this day he still stands by what he saw.
My second story - to piggy-back off the first one - also took place when I was a child. This is a story within a story.
My family owns property we mainly use for hunting. It's on the edge of the town where I grew up, and apart from the acre we've cleared out to feed deer, the rest is all thick brush. When I was little, my father bought the property off of another family, and once, while they were negotiating prices, etc. he heard a strange story from the buyer's grandfather. Now, the old man had grown up in the area, and used to love talking about his boyhood adventures on the property. All innocent stories, except one time, the old man related a strange incident that happened to him one early morning when we was very small.
A large creek used to run through the property. Today, it's nothing more than a dried out ravine, but when the old man was a child it was full and had fish in it.
The old man said that one early morning, he had come out to the property with the intention of doing some fishing. As he approached the creek, he was startled to hear hushed voices. Creeping quietly to see who it might be, he said he found himself looking at two small people standing by the water's edge. The figures appeared to be no bigger than a foot, and were dressed in dark green and brown clothing. The voices that he had heard belonged to these two people and although he couldn't tell what they were talking about, he remembered feeling that it was something serious. Then, he remembers that one of them whistled (like a bird) and to his astonishment, a whole group of these beings clamored out of a dead nearby fallen tree. The old man said he watched as they gathered and walked in file down the bank, disappearing where the creek bent and went in another direction. Of course, when he got up to find them there was no trace of them. The old man told my father that he had tried going early again several times hoping to see them again, but he never did. - John

Police Sniper Observes Bigfoot Prior to Drug Raid
I received a telephone call from a retired police officer who wishes to remain anonymous. I am not going to name the town or county, but I will state that the area is in southwest Ohio.
The incident occurred in early September 2003 during a drug raid in an area near a state forest. The police officer was also the department's designated sniper. It was approximately 5 am and there was surveillance on the residence an hour before the time of the raid. The suspect was known to use booby traps, so there was a lot of caution. The witness told me that he was stationed about 25 yards from the back door of the house.
He had been there for awhile when he started to hear heavy breathing and snorting coming from an area behind the house. His first reaction was that the suspect was out in the yard, so he looked through his scope and noticed a huge hairy being digging through something. As he continued to observe, the being stood and looked in his direction. It began to snort heavily and raised its right arm pointing in his direction. The witness noticed long hair hanging off the arm. He could sense that this thing knew he was there watching it. The witness stayed quiet, but did attach a suppressor on the muzzle of the rifle in case he needed to use it.
It was beginning to lighten up some, so the witness was able to see more detail. He stated that this being was 7+ foot in height and had dark long hair all over it body. The face had very sparse hair and the skin was almost black in color. The nose was large and flat. He also noticed that the fingernails were also black. It continued to make heavy snorting sounds and looked back at the witness occasionally. By this time, the witness affirmed that this was probably a Bigfoot.
He told me that he thought about shooting the Bigfoot, but was afraid it was cause a ruckus and compromise the raid. After approximately 10 minutes of observation, the Bigfoot moved away from the area. But before it left, it literally broke a 3 1/2" thick limb off a nearby tree. The witness assumed that this was in reaction to him observing the beast. At this point, the witness was concerned that it would circle back and attack him. Fortunately, the raid began a few minutes after the Bigfoot left the location. The witness later told me that the Bigfoot had been digging through a pile of garbage. That's when he also examined the tree limb.
He never mentioned this incident to anyone other than his wife. He did state that the area is well-known for suspected Bigfoot activity and that his department occasionally received a sighting report. The witness laments to this day that he didn't take a shot at the beast, but did acknowledge that the arrest of the drug suspect was high priority.
