UFO / Alien Abduction Observed by Brothers in Bossier, Louisiana

2 brothers, living in a trailer park in Bossier, Louisiana, observe a saucer craft land near the neighboring residence. 2 girls are seen walking into the craft, then soon walk back into their home.

The following account was recently forwarded to me:

"I have not talked about this for 55 years, and it's time that I disclose a strange event, which took place in 1965.

My brother and I witnessed aliens abducting two young girls who lived in the trailer next door. We never told a soul about this encounter, and now that he has passed. I am the only person left to recount the events of that fateful night, which changed our lives forever.

We were living near Bossier City Louisiana, as our father was working deep underground in the Air Force missile silos, and he was gone for days at a time in these bunkers. He had just come home on a three-day leave, and we were so happy to be able to spend time with him.

My brother and I played rough with our dad all day and we were bushed, come bed time. I slept in the upper bunk, and my brother in the lower.

Suddenly, around 4:00 AM we were both awakened by a low thundering sound, and the most brilliantly colored light display, just outside our window at the foot of our bunk bed. I moved to the window and looked down to see my brother looking out as well. We both watched a flying saucer land in the field, close to our neighbor's trailer. Our family was very close to these neighbors, and the two young girls living there, were friends to my brother and myself. I can't recall their names, but they were approximately seven and ten years old.

We debated about waking our parents. But were so frightened, and thought if we wake them, and they start turning on outside lights or walk outside with any weapons. There would be  sheer panic in the trailer park. So, we sat very quietly and simply observed.

This flying saucer was about 50 feet in diameter, and had multi colored lights around the perimeter. Everything beneath the craft was distorted and wavy, as it was gently settling down in the dirt field. There were four metal legs that slid down from the craft, with round pads on each. All of the lights on the craft went out, within about 30 seconds after it landed. But, a light blue glow started to envelope the craft and it made the area around it glow as well. Then, a ramp slid down from the craft and a door opened up. We could partially see inside the ship. There were dull red and orange lights on the walls, and an electrical crackling sound, emanating from the interior. Then the interior lights went out and the weird sound stopped. Suddenly, a figure started to walk down the ramp and was followed by another.

Now, I think I should mention, my brother and I were never allowed to watch any science fiction shows or movies with aliens or spaceships. I had never even seen a drawing or picture of a saucer before this. We were allowed to watch cartoons like Scooby Doo, and Bugs Bunny. Along with shows like The Wonderful World of Disney and Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. So, this was truly an adventurous night for us, and definitely something very new.

The first two beings were walking down the ramp and made their way into the light of our neighbors yard. There was a light on the back of their trailer and their porch. When they got closer to the brighter light on their porch we could see that they were dressed in the same color of suits. But the weird thing was, that their skin appeared to be the same color as well. They looked human in shape and size, but moved in a way that made them function more like robots. Every movement was very smooth and effortless, as though they were moving about in water. They now remind me of the "Blue Man Group" from Las Vegas, because they were completely blue all over. Then, another two beings exited the craft, and they were green. Another two, that were red. Until there were six of them in all. They walked in line, up to the door of the trailer. They all passed right through the door, without opening it, and that scared the heck out of us! We were asking each other, "Did you see that? What are they going to do with our friends?"

Minutes later, they passed through the door again, and they were leading the two girls all the way back to their ship. The girls appeared as though they were sleep walking and even had their eyes closed, but walked just fine, without any help from these strange beings. Now, if you are wondering, yes, the girls passed right through the door, without it being opened too.

Only about five minutes later, they exited the ship and lead the girls back into the trailer. But, when the beings passed through the door, for the last time as they were coming out, they all crouched down slightly, turned and looked directly at our window. Each one did this in succession, and they smiled and waved at us! Now at this point, my brother and I were in complete shock. We were unable to say a word.

They entered the ship, and as the last one went inside, the interior lights came back on. The strange noise started up again and the door closed. The ramp slid back up inside the craft, and as it slowly lifted off the ground the four legs retracted up as well. The amazingly colorful lights came back on around the perimeter of the ship and it slowly lifted skyward. It was about 25 feet in the air, then it shot straight up and out of sight in less than a second.

The last being standing at the door of the ship waved at my brother and I before it closed. I thought I should point that out as well. That is the lasting image burned into my memory every since that strange night. My brother and I talked about that night, possibly thousands of times, before he passed away. But, we never discussed it with any one else. Ever!

We tried so hard to see if their was anything different about our neighbor's daughters, after that night. But, we didn't notice anything unusual.

The Louisiana UFO event troubles me to this day. More so than any other event. I have often wondered, if my brother and I were the actual abductees, and the memory of the girls abduction was planted. But, in any case, two or possibly even four people were contacted/abducted that night. Of that I am sure! I want to find answers to this event some how. Even if it means going to a qualified hypnotist, experienced in the abduction phenomena. I have to know exactly what happened in 1965!

I wonder if those two young girls are now going through abduction therapy as adults. So many unanswered questions, and I think about that night every single day of my life. I need to get this monkey off of my back, somehow." NM

Sparsely Haired Humanoid Encountered Along Hoback River in Jackson, Wyoming

A man was hunting toads at night along the Hoback River in Jackson, Wyoming. He soon encountered an unknown sparely haired humanoid that was crouched down eating something.

The following account was reported to MUFON:

9-11-2020 - 12 AM

I hunt toads for my snakes down where the Hoback River meets the Snake River. They call it the old boat ramp. Now I have grown up hearing people tell me weird things or how they saw something in the woods, but it ended up being a stump. I never believed in those tales until last night.

I was walking around under the bridge and was not having any luck finding toads. So where the Snake River meets the Hoback River there is a little band right there. I was walking through the bushes. As I reached the corner there about 25' away I saw something crouching in the water. Its back was towards me and its arms were moving and I assumed it was eating a fish or something. This was not a split second ordeal. I had a pretty good flashlight the 20 V LED Dewalt and I had the flashlight directly on whatever this was. While examining it I'm thinking to myself is this a bear. It is hunched over and has shoulders like a man, a back like a man and a head like a man, but I had short gray hair that wasn't thick. You could see the pink skin underneath.

After about 15 seconds of staring at this thing it stopped whatever was doing or eating and turned its head and looked at me. Now when I was examining the back I really wasn't freaked out or scared. But as soon as it turned its head and we made eye contact, that's when the feeling shot through me. The face on this thing was, well, I can't even explain it. It resembled the faces I've seen on werewolves the movies. Small squinty eyes. No snout. I could tell it was angry. This is why I know it was not an animal or a bear or anything like that. Because is soon as it noticed my flashlight it stopped and looked ahead of itself to see where the light was coming from. Which goes to tell me this creature had a thinking process more sophisticated than an animal's.

However once this thing looked at me and we made eye contact I turned around and I booked it back to the Jeep. I hopped in the Jeep, lock the doors and then I back the Jeep up and turned on the brights to see if the thing was coming after me. After a couple seconds I didn't see anything. I said screw this and I drove home.

I went back there this morning because I wanted to see the tracks. I'm not easily convinced in the supernatural or what people see without any proof. Well, it looks like I'm one of those people now. I did not see any tracks there. However, I did see a lot of tracks on the other side on the riverbank. I am pretty skeptical about stuff like this so I need to know for sure that it was just an animal because right now everything I thought I knew about the world around me is in question. - MUFON

Multiple Alien Encounters, Possible Abduction & Experimentation, in Cumming, Georgia

A couple in Cumming, Georgia experience a close encounter with unknown beings while in the bedroom. Afterward, they notice puncture marks and bruises on each of their bodies.

The following account was recently forwarded to me:

Back on June 18, 2019 my friend and I, while at my house in Cumming, Georgia, experienced an alien encounter and possible abduction. The 2 weeks prior to this event I had the feeling, at my house which I live in alone with my dog and cat, that I was always being watched.

I could not seem to catch the shadows/figures that seemed to be everywhere but no where in my house. I’d catch black figures and slight shadows outside my windows in bushes. I’d see a white orbs floating around that were very clearly different from the fireflies. I’d see a white light floating behind one of roses bushes.

That night, I had gone to the rest room. My friend had let my dog off the back porch where she chased something that wasn’t there. She proceeded to chase it until the start of the small section of woods that I had seen other shadows had disappeared into. When I walked out the door I heard my dog growling at something that neither of us could see at that moment. Walking down to her she had all the hair standing up on her body and when I gave the command to go track or find whatever. Peering into the woods, not seeing my dog or anything, we heard a shuffle in the fallen leaves. Then, what seemed to be a high pitch screech, louder than a jet engine would sound.

After we went inside and tried just watching some TV and hang out from then on, it sounded like little pebbles or something was tapping the side of my house and windows.

About 30 minutes later I walked out onto my back porch to put some clothes in the dryer. While in the laundry room my friend, standing on the back deck, starts insisting we need to get inside now. We were seeing floating orbs around and a distant figure standing on the edge of the woods, only being able to see its shape. We proceeded back inside and from there it got even worse.

My friend got the vibe and feeling that he didn’t wanna sleep on my couch. So I let him crash in my bed with me. After turning out the lights and TV the whole house seemingly started vibrating. The sounds of things hitting off my house became more intense. The glasses in the kitchen were vibrating. We can both hear them in the cabinet. Sounds of languages and conversations that we could not understand start happening. Bumps and bangs in the back of my house where nothing was on and locked off from my animals through the night. My dog, laying in bed with us, seemed to start to growl; then just stop like something calmed her.

After that I tried to sleep and my friend said he was going to try and meditate. After that I can slightly remember not being able to move and a white light peering through my closed eyelids. The flickering of figures filing in and around the bedroom. At the same time me and my friend both popped up and when the lights came on we both had looks of sensory overload like someone just hit a reset on our brains.

We tried to go to sleep with the lights on when the same thing happened again. We both arose again at the same time, looked at each other and said we need to get the f*ck out now.

Backing out of my driveway we both seemingly picked out a figure with some sort of owl-like face standing in the woods. We left the house for the night. My friend went to a person who is open about this sort of things. She took him to a spiritual cleanser, who listened to his story and said that it was out of her league. After meeting up the day after we both seemed to have IV prick marks on our arms in the same locations. Also bruises and scratches. He had a mark on his side that looks like a medical device implanted something. - Name withheld

'Wolf Boy' Cryptid Canine Encountered in Maryville, Missouri

A witness in Maryville, Missouri recalls their encounter, in his neighborhood, with a cryptid dog that he and his father refer to 'Wolf Boy.'

I recently received the following account:

"I was standing outside of my home smoking a cigarette in Maryville, Missouri at approximately 3 AM in August 2010. The streetlights cast a yellow glow over my neighborhood. The air was crisp from the recent rain. As I stood near the back door I noticed something moved in the yard.

Out of my periphery I thought it was a dog. A really big dog. But when I looked at it straight on I was scared. The dog was about as long as a horse. It loped across the lawn and I got a good look at it. The dog-thing was tan, its tail long and bushy with a white tip. Its eyes glowed green. It stopped next to a neighbor’s fence, staring at me the entire time with those green, glowing eyes.

It stared at me until I finished my cigarette and went inside. About three to five minutes; just long enough to smoke a cigarette. I was little freaked out. The dog slunk off between two houses and I went inside. I took his father outside to look for tracks the next day, but we found nothing. However, when I stood where the dog stopped at the fence, my heart jumped. The dog would have stood at the middle of my chest. I'm 6’2.”

That wasn’t the last time I saw the dog. Dad calls it ‘Wolf Boy.’ We joke around about it being a werewolf.

A few weeks later, I parked my car on the street behind the house after work at around 3 AM. I sat inside the car smoking cigarettes when I saw eyes staring at me through the darkness. The street light back there flickers. I was sitting in the car smoking a cigarette. I saw those green eyes. When the streetlight flicked on he saw the 'Wolf Boy.' I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me because of the green glow. But it was the dog. It was lying down, just staring at me. Each time the streetlight flickered, the Wolf Boy inched closer.

It was freaky as close as the dog was when the light flickered back on. I needed to go inside so I just ran.” TW

Bizarre Unknown Humanoid Stalks Fillmore, California Home

A Fillmore, California resident hears bizarre sounds around their home for several days. They soon encounter an unknown humanoid, causing them to call the police.

The following account was recently forwarded to me:

"I live in the Fillmore area of California where there are hills, mountains, pine and redwood trees mixed with other forest trees, but not many bushes. I know the wildlife since I’ve lived here for 20 years. But something terrifying has been lurking around and not even 2 hours ago I had this happen. Police and animal control left about 30 minutes ago. They found scratches on my clay roofing shingles. I am sleeping with everything absolutely barricaded with my guns tonight.

It started a week ago with a mixture of human and animal gurgled screams, coming from the mountains, faint and distant, but if you were quiet enough outside you can hear it faintly. 2 days go passed and it’s closer, louder, more spine chilling. Another 2 days passed and my neighbor said his pet birds are acting extremely strange since the noises started. A day passes and I gathered more information.

Noises start at the moment the sun is gone, so like 5:40pm-6pm. A day passes, screams are clearer, terrifying, not constant though. Maybe a 5 second scream every 30-45min. The thing moves at second story height, jumps from tree to tree to house it seems.

Today, I heard something thud on my roof, then I hear the scream. Human / animal hybrid that sounded like it was gurgling its own blood as it screamed. As quietly as I could I moved to the only room that you can walk out onto the roof from a window. Unfortunately there is also a massive 40ft pine next to the room. I only opened the door and slowly peeked at the window from behind the door. A humanoid figure, about 5ft tall, something on all 4s. Boney body form. Long head, kind of like alien from 'Alien vs Predator,' but not as huge or curved. It had what I assume is claws for hands and feet. 4 appendages, maybe. No idea what color, maybe grey. It shifted its weight. Then I got scared, shut the door hard, heard it jump off.

I called the cops immediately, not going to be going in there. Cops come, neighbor is awake with video of something jumping off my roof. (Doorbell and security cams. I only have doorbell cam)." CT

“Mythology in Embryo”

When the Swiss psychologist Carl Gustav Jung finished his groundbreaking work on the UFO enigma, Flying Saucers:  A Modern Myth of Things Seen in the Sky (Brooklyn, New York:  Harcourt, Brace and Company, 1959), he did not totally discount the physical realities of the phenomenon but emphasized the psychological and religious factors inherent in the sightings and alleged contacts with extraterrestrial occupants, especially those manifesting “angelic” qualities.  As a psychologist, Jung was not so concerned about the interplanetary significance of UFOs.  He would leave that type of investigation up to the astronomers, or the officers in charge of the United States Air Force Project Bluebook.  Jung came to see the arrival of the flying saucers in our skies in the context of “visionary rumors.”  His book was one of the first in the frontier field of ufology to grasp some of the religious and spiritual aspects of the UFO phenomenon, that up until the late 1950s, had gone largely ignored in the world’s scientific community. 

Dr. Christopher Riche Evans (29 May 1931 – 10 October 1979) was a British psychologist, computer scientist, and author who warned in 1973 that the George Adamski contact case set a bad precedent for cult activities in the field of ufology.  

Of Jung’s unique take on the UFO phenomenon, Christian apologists Mark Albrecht and Brooks Alexander issued the following statement in an article appearing in the August 1977 issue of the Spiritual Counterfeits Project Journal (Berkeley, California), “UFOs:  Is Science Fiction Coming True?”: “In fact, the actual emergence of ufology as a ‘mythology in embryo’ rather than semi-serious science fiction first occurred some years prior to Jung’s book with the publication in 1953 of Flying Saucers Have Landed (New York, New York:  British Book Centre) by Desmond Leslie and George Adamski.”  This is quite a controversial proclamation, for it equates Adamski’s claims to have encountered the crew of a landed Venusian flying saucer in the Colorado Desert in Riverside County, California, with the conversion of ufology into a cultic movement.  

Apparently, Albrecht and Alexander were not alone in their assessment of Adamski as the spark for the cult of ufology.  British pioneer computer scientist and secular authority on the influence of science in affecting mass culture, Christopher Riche Evans, included a section on Adamski in his now classic book, Cults of Unreason (London, United Kingdom:  George G. Harrap and Company, 1973).  On page 146, Evans admits that the California contactee’s tale has its ludicrous aspects, and then continues:  “Adamski’s account of his encounter with a long-haired Venusian wearing ski-pants with whom he engaged in telepathic contact reads like a desperate travesty of the most simple-minded science fiction;” yet despite these shortcomings, Evans takes note that Adamski’s “experience” was the one that set the stage for what would become an increasing number of alleged “contact cases.”  

These cases generally follow the pattern of contact established by Adamski in his book, Flying Saucers Have Landed.  There is an unexpected meeting with, or abduction by, the ufonauts.  This usually takes place in some isolated location.  Most likely, the communication that occurs between the contactee and the alien(s) is carried out on a telepathic level, rather than verbally.  The message imparted by the extraterrestrials to the contactee generally consists of a warning that needs to be delivered to the people of Earth.  It seems that quite a few of the more familiar science fiction memes come to the fore, i.e. that the inhabitants of the Earth are in danger of ending all life on the planet with weapons of mass destruction and that they (the extraterrestrials) have come to help those of good will from behind the scenes, but are somehow prohibited from intervening directly.  It’s much like the “non-interference directive” imposed on representatives of the Federation of Planets on the Star Trek television series.  Its creator, Gene Roddenberry, probably got the idea from reading contactee literature.  Of particular concern to Christian apologists like Albrecht and Alexander, however, are the “less easily identifiable elements of occult mysticism in the contactees’ accounts.”  In this regard, the apologists point to such subtle underlying themes as the “oneness of all,” “cosmic evolution,” usually by reincarnation, and “psychic manifestations.”  

“Silent Contactees”

It would be a big mistake to dismiss this basic contactee scenario as an isolated, unusual occurrence.  Since the early 1950s, there has been an increasing number of semi-religious and even outright religious cults that have managed to spring up and crystallize around supposed communications originating from the extraterrestrial occupants of flying saucers.  Some of the more well-known include the Aetherius Society, “Billy” Eduard Albert Meier’s Freie Interessengemeinschaft für Grenz- und Geisteswissenschaften und Ufologiestudien (FIGU)/ Free Community of Interests for the Border Sciences and Ufological Studies, Bo and Peep, Eckankar, the Raelians, the School of Thought, the Solar Cross Foundation, Steven Greer’s Disclosure Project, the Urantia Group, etc.  But above and beyond these public organizations, the Australian Christian theologian Clifford Wilson has pointed out in his book, UFOs and Their Mission Impossible (Mount Waverly, Victoria, Australia:  Word of Truth Productions, 1974), page 168, that, “There is a growing army of those who claim to have actual contact with UFO occupants.  An authoritative, and possibly conservative estimate, is that there are 50,000 silent contactees in the United States alone.”  

 

George Adamski (1891-1965) is rolling over in his grave.  Adamski never wanted to see cults form around him or his “cosmic philosophy.” He claimed that thousands were in contact with the friendly extraterrestrials and that he was not the only channel.  The contactee would have been especially disappointed to see one of his former research associates heading up such a dangerous cult, besmirching his legacy.   Photo source:  Real magazine Flying Saucers Pictorial (special edition), Studio City, California, 1966, original in Keller Venus Files.

Misappropriation of Adamski Legacy

Because of the notoriety that George Adamski gained through the publication of his flying saucer books, to include some of his accurate and prophetic pronouncements about the conditions in outer space that our astronauts would discover once they ventured out beyond the Earth’s atmospheric boundary, in addition to some of the multiple witnesses attesting in writing to the reality of his initial encounter with an extraterrestrial out in the Southern California desert, it comes as no surprise that his status as the preeminent contactee would continue long after his death on 23 April 1965.  After having returned from a book tour of the Northeastern United States, Adamski was lodging in the Silver Springs, Maryland, home of two of his closest friends and research associates, Nelson and Madeleine Rodeffer.  The tour had apparently taken a toll on Adamski’s health, whence he was transported by ambulance to the Washington Sanatorium. It was there where he passed away due to congestive heart failure brought on as a result of respiratory problems.  George Adamski lived to the age of 74; but his profound legacy continues to this day, stronger than ever.  

While Adamski was alive he never established anything in the line of a cult of personality.  With the help of Hans C. Petersen, a retired Danish Royal Air Force major, however, he did manage to create an informal organization to bring those interested in the message of the space people in contact with one another to share reports of flying saucer sightings and occupant encounters in local newsletters the world over.  Adamski and Petersen referred to their friendship association as the International Get Acquainted Program (IGAP).  After Adamski’s transition to the “other side,” so to speak, others not satisfied with the casual nature of IGAP formed more cultish groups, among them Charlotte Blob of Appleton, Wisconsin and her UFO Education Center.

Following the death of George Adamski, one of his research associates, Charlotte Blob, became quite a well-known lecturer on the UFO circuit and even made a short appearance, talking about the space people, in the 1971 movie Rainbow Bridge, filmed on the island of Maui, Hawaii. It is a documentary about New Agers and hippies and the positive impact the youth movement was making on the contemporary cultural scene.

UFO Education Center Criticized as Flying Saucer Cult

Jon Funabiki, an industrious correspondent for the Copley News Service, looked into the various activities and reports of cultish practices alleged to be occurring in the UFO Education Center.  From his thorough article published in the Columbus, Ohio, Dispatch of Sunday, 15 April 1979, we learn about the travails of Center member Susan Kolb, who almost divorced her husband Thomas for the prospect of talking to people from outer space.  In January 1974, the couple began attending meetings of the UFO Education Center to learn more about the UFO phenomenon.  It seems that the two had recently spotted an unusual, flashing orange light in the night sky passing over their home in Kiel, Wisconsin.  Neither of the pair had any idea what they were looking at.

But after two years of attending lectures at the Center, viewing slide shows and participating in intimate discussion sessions with other members and leaders of the group, Susan’s obsession with UFOs had certainly intensified.  Thomas found the programs at the Center interesting, but wasn’t particularly concerned about his wife’s growing attachment to the subject of UFOs and the group until one day she suddenly left him.  “It just happened overnight,” Thomas informed Funabiki, further explaining that Susan had not only shut him out of her life, but the rest of her family as well.  Susan had moved into the Center, where she worked as a volunteer, along with other members, in answering telephones, writing back to people mailing in letters and even scheduling lectures about flying saucers.  Susan even took up three jobs in order to make hefty weekly contributions to the group, ranging anywhere from $25 to $100, which was a lot of money back in the mid-1970s.  She said that she felt guilty if she let a week go by without making a financial donation to the Center.  Susan was so dedicated to the Center that she went for months with only a few hours of sleep each night.  

Susan was so committed to the group because she wanted to educate the world to “our friends, the human beings from other planets.”

Charlotte Blob (1936-2009), Director of UFO Education Center.  Many came to later see her as the leader of a dangerous “religious cult.”

Center Headquarters Moves to California

The Appleton headquarters of the UFO Education Center was located in a three-bedroom home owned by Charlotte Blob.  She also rented a home in Guadalajara, Mexico, where one day she hoped to move the entire group, where it would be untouchable by law enforcement authorities in the United States.  

Susan described the group’s membership as consisting of both adults and their children, all dedicated to studying mental telepathy, recording their thoughts in notebooks and hoping to one day speak with the “space brothers,” provided, of course, that the leaders of their commune deemed them worthy enough to do so.

The kind of lifestyle being led by these hermit-like UFO aficionados was certainly not winning the hearts and minds of the rock-ribbed conservative residents of Appleton, Wisconsin, so sometime during the last quarter of 1977, Charlotte Blob made the unilateral but interim decision to move the headquarters to Valley Center, California, where she registered it as a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation.  

By Halloween of 1977, Susan’s family could see the “writing on the wall,” so to speak, and realized that if they didn’t do something soon to liberate her from the clutches of this UFO cult, all would be lost.  Susan’s mother, Elaine Utecht, felt that the UFO Education Center was nothing but a “religious cult” that had abducted Susan one night after she was leaving her good-paying night job at the local bank.  Once in the clutches of the group, Utecht opined that her daughter was brainwashed; and she was convinced that if she didn’t do something soon, Susan would be lost to her forever once the cultists moved out to California.  

Elaine Utecht realized that she was going to need a lot of firepower to liberate Susan, and to this end, she contacted the controversial religious cult deprogrammer, Ted Patrick, to free her daughter’s mind of this sinister group’s influence.  Although she had to pay Patrick the hefty some of $5,000 for his unique services, Utecht declared, “It didn’t make any difference what it cost.  You don’t put a price on your daughter’s life.  I just wanted her to be able to sit down and think for herself.”

Elaine Utecht was happy to report that Patrick’s intervention was successful and that Susan has been reunited with her family.  “It was a rescue, not a kidnapping,” is how Susan’s mother described Patrick’s liberating operation.  At the time of the interview with Funabiki of the Copley News Service in April 1979, Susan was 25 years of age, reunited with her husband, and the mother of a four-year-old daughter; and quite pleased that her parents hired the deprogrammer. 

Reminiscing of her time in the cult, Susan declared, “It gets to the point where the Center takes over your whole existence. It’s like being addicted to a drug.  You have to keep going back.”

Cult Receives National Scrutiny 

Following all of the local attention focused on the Susan Kolb deprogramming case, most of the Wisconsin membership moved out to Valley Center, California, lock, stock and barrel, where they occupied a large white house rented by Blob.  As it was back in Wisconsin, they weren’t getting much sleep at night, being busy with UFO Education Center work; and during the hours of daylight, the members donated their labor to a printshop that published the Palomar Press in nearby San Marcos, which was the main source of the group’s collective income.  Between Blob’s home in Wisconsin and the rented houses in California and Mexico, by April 1979, it was estimated that there were 35 adults and children residing in them.  The departure of Susan Kolb led to the sporadic defection of yet more members, some by deprogramming and others simply becoming soured by the whole experience.  

The UFO Education Center seemed to be a runaway train.  The corporation’s directors appointed Catherine Reid, one of their own, to be the group’s spokesperson.  Hopefully Reid would be able to stem the tide of adverse publicity.  In a public statement, Reid declared, “We are not a mystical, occult group.”

Reid, at first, was hesitant to discuss the activities in-depth of the UFO Education Center with representatives from the media; and Charlotte Blob, the group’s founder, remained unavailable for comment, even over the telephone.  Reid explained that “Charlotte Blob doesn’t generally telephone people she hasn’t met.”  

Reid explained that the Center’s roots are found in the writings of the late George Adamski, a controversial figure in the UFO community in the 1950s and 1960s who claimed to have made friends of extraterrestrials from Venus, Mars and Saturn.  Adamski espoused a “cosmic philosophy” that offered the possibility of reincarnation on other planets for those who served the good of the universe.  

Reid failed to mention, however, that Adamski never authorized the formation of a cult around those mysteries he wrote about in his flying saucer books, or anything concerning the cosmic philosophy that he advocated.  He urged the individuals interested in his work to pursue their own paths of enlightenment and readily stated that thousands of others have been contacted by the extraterrestrials.  He wasn’t the only channel available for such esoteric knowledge.  

Escaping Cultists

Many of those who escaped from the UFO Education Center described life with the group as one of unyielding commitment- emotionally, financially and philosophically toward the Center’s work and its leader, Blob, a one-time associate of Adamski.  They also point out that for those who are thinking of dropping out, their lives are laced with feelings of guilt and fear.  Said one former member from Escondido, California, who live at the Valley Center compound for nine months with her two children, “We tried to talk the others into leaving; but they chickened out.  Blob says that when you leave, you are committing the greatest sin.”

Like Susan Kolb, others caught in the cult are encouraged to shun their parents.  This is especially so if those parents urged their children to leave the group and return home.  This forced estrangement was the cruelest part of the cult experience for a Clintonville, Wisconsin, woman whose daughter left home after graduation from high school to go live with the group in the Appleton house for three and one-half years.  This sad mother exclaimed, “She felt very hateful of us.  That’s the way they wanted it.  They did not want to the people to have anything to do with their parents.  Her letters said we didn’t mean anything more to her than the ‘manure of this Earth.’

The daughter in question, Joy Mulligan, 23, of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, was still reluctant to speak of her dark experiences with the group to her parents, even nine months after she had left it.  At the time she was involved with the UFO Education Center in Appleton, however, she did say to a reporter from her hometown newspaper that, “I am perfectly happy at the UFO Education Center and consider my contributions of money to the Center and work at the Palomar Press as my share of the living expenses.  I did not enlighten my parents about this because some people just misunderstand.”

Reid, according to the testimony of some ex-members, referred to Joy Mulligan’s mother as a “witch” for wanting her daughter to leave the UFO Education Center.  

And then there was a Greenfield, Wisconsin, woman who met a similar circumstance with her son, who was in the Appleton Center for several years.  After getting out of the group, he refused to talk about it with his mother.  He said, “I simply want to make a whole new life and forget the whole thing.”

Theologians Opine

J. Gordon Melton, the director of the Institute of American Religion in Evanston, Illinois, believes that the cultism of the UFO Education Center stems from Adamski’s “cosmic philosophy.”  The former members initially expressed only an interest in UFOs, but said they were gradually introduced to Adamski’s philosophy, which ultimately drew them completely into the organization.  Melton said that Adamski’s followers constitute the oldest of some 25 “UFO religious groups” that have formed around contactees.  “They also have a direct relationship to transcendental forces,” the theologian noted.  “Instead of godly stuff,” he added, “It’s space brothers.”

One former member, who concurred with Melton that it was all about the philosophy, declared: “The philosophy, as it was put to me, was that when you ‘pass on’ you will progress through reincarnation if you have done a responsible job at whatever you have chosen- anything of service to the universal needs, the good of all.

“You pass on to the next planet.  Earth was only like kindergarten.  Venus was the planet of love.  Saturn was the planet of balance.”

Also finding agreement with Melton was Reverend Richard D. Leach, an ordained Methodist minister and associate professor of philosophy and religion at Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, who taught a course on cults and sects.  He also believes that the UFO Education Center is a cult; and he bases that opinion on numerous interviews that he has conducted with former members.  “What they hold before their members is the possibility of communicating and meeting ‘brothers,’ as they call them, from other planets,” remarked the minister, adding that, “It seems to me that their use of religious sources, including the Bible, really translates into religious and ecstatic sorts of terms.  I would say that in my understanding of a cult, they qualify.  I have talked to them and that’s not what they think.  Of course, cult has so many negative connotations that I can understand why.”

'Communion' Alien Being Encountered in Ellerslie, Maryland

A young boy, living in Ellerslie, Maryland, encountered an alien being that he later recognized as the same illustration on the Whitley Strieber's 'Communion' book cover.

The following account was posted on the MUFON CMS:

Ellerslie, Maryland - 11/1977: I grew up by the woods and at the age of around 6 years old, I had a terrifying experience. Many times I would accompany my mother to take our dogs for a walk in the woods. Around this age, I was fascinated with different TV programs and what I would describe as doing a witch laugh or cackling. I would do this "witch laugh" when we would walk in the woods because I was trying to master it to sound scary.

One day I was playing in my backyard with my brother when I began hearing a very hard knocking sound coming from the side of our house. I looked at the house and saw nothing and my brother continued playing. The sound hit the house again and I looked again and saw nothing. This horrendous loud sound (that I suppose only I could hear) hit the house again. For the third time, I heard the loud sound again. Except for this time I had this feeling to turn my head to the left facing our garage by the woods.

This is when I saw a grey like creature standing partly behind a tree right in front of our garage. It had would I described at that time "an upside-down onion head" with large slanted eyes, small mouth and nose. It then telepathically communicated my "witch laugh" into my head, but in a demonic sound.

My brother noticed something was wrong with me and asked me what was wrong, but I couldn't speak. I could hardly get my legs to move and if my brother wasn't there I don't think I could have moved at all due to fear. The fear it put into me was like nothing I have ever experienced in my life. It began laughing demonically in my head and doing the witch laugh. The sound filled my head and it was deafening.

Finally, I could scream and began to partly run, almost falling as I headed for the front door of our house. As I got to the door my mother came running asking what was wrong. I was hysterical crying and screaming realizing that this thing was pure evil. My parents asked my brother what happened, but he didn't know. I described to my parents what I saw and what it did to me. My parents decided to go out and investigate the tree and garage area, even though I begged them not to. They found nothing nor saw nothing and I never saw it again.

Many years later I came across a book that had the exact picture on it of the grey alien I had seen called 'Communion.' There on the front cover was the same face of the grey alien creature I had seen. After looking at the content of the book, I knew then that others had seen the same alien creature I had and that this was real. - MUFON

Huge Cryptid Wolf / Canine Observed in Duluth, Minnesota

A National Guardsman, stationed in Duluth, Minnesota, described as a huge cryptid wolf / canine while patrolling the base at night. What could it have been?

I recently received the following account:

"This incident occurred in the winter of 1999 while I was stationed at the Duluth (MN) Air National Guard Base. I was in the patrol truck, doing my usual rounds; checking doors and fence lines. Late at night, on the north side of the base was usually creepy enough when patrolling by yourself.

Anyways, I was on this road driving towards our baseball field, when my headlights caught a pair of eyes reflecting back at me. They were almost eye level with me. Around this time, a few of the guys had been seeing this huge buck around the property (like a 16 pointer or something around that size). I was about 80 yards or so, when I saw these eyes reflecting back at me. So, I'm thinking it was a big deer. I thought that I've got to see this thing. So, I hit the gas and started speeding towards the field. This is where it all happened so fast.

It's almost hard to explain. There was a little slope behind the baseball field. It sloped down, probably about 12-15 feet into a brush line. The brush went about 30 feet, then turned into a thick tree line. The brush was probably armpit high to me and pretty tough to traverse through; being so thick.

As I turned into the baseball field and turned the truck towards the thing. I just caught the rear end of the it leaping down the slope, below the line of sight of my headlights. The thing was no more than about 20 feet ahead of me when it leaped. All I got a look at was the back end of the thing, and it was big! The best I can do to describe it is to say that it was wolf/dog like in nature. It had a long tail (longer than 2 feet). The hind legs looked exactly like that of a dog's; same with the back paws, but the paws were huge. They were bigger than my hands, for sure. The hair/fur was wavy, yet matted and thick. The color was blondish or very light brown. I didn't notice any gray in it, but this all happened within about 2 - 3 seconds.

I sat in my patrol truck for a couple of seconds, confused and thinking, "I know what I saw, but it couldn't have been what I saw." So, I hopped out with my flashlight and M-16 rifle and walked to the edge of the slope. All I heard was the thing running through the woods in front of me heading in a northwest direction. And this thing sounded like a moose charging through the trees! It made a lot of noise! That's when I started to get really scared; thinking, "If this is some sort of wolf or whatever it could be, my M-16 isn't going to do a thing to this animal." So, I jumped back into my patrol truck as fast as I could and headed back to the headquarters.

I never told any of the other members about this, for fear of ridicule or being called crazy. There is no way I misidentified this thing! I'm a trained observer, an avid hunter and have worked with animal rehabilitation, with the Minnesota DNR in the past. I know my animals and the North Woods extremely well. I saw exactly what I saw. And that was the back end of a large wolf/dog thing, that basically had its eyes level with mine, while I was in a patrol truck. The back end was definitely much larger than any of the largest deer or black bears I've seen." B

Possible Reptilian Encounters in Washington & Delaware (Interesting Photo)

2 separate accounts of Reptilian encounters, including an interesting photograph of a supposed being in a blue flight suit and a possible craft.

These 2 account describe possible encounters with Reptilian beings:

Olympia, Washington - 2019-01-28: I was driving through a heavily wooded area approximately 30 minutes from west Olympia. I heard gibberish and a loud yell. I stopped my car and took a picture at the base of a drop off, there were 3 beings. 1 in a small triangular ship. 1 next to the ship and one near a tree to the right. There was also two dead deer. They saw me so I jumped back in my car and drove away.

There is no road access to where they were. There was a tall grey on the right. A tall reptilian looking one in the craft. It had a helmet on and one next to the craft with a big white colored head and long neck. It was wearing a blue astronaut/suit (image below). It appeared to have a smaller being or human in the back seat strapped in.

This was very real and scary. - MUFON

Magnolia, Delaware - 11/30/2020 - 10:15 AM: I was walking my dog through my neighborhood which is surrounded by dense woods on all sides on 30 November around 10:15 am. We came to the pond and I noticed all the geese were lined up in a straight row next to the street which was very unusual so I decided to take a picture of them. At this time my dog became very upset, scared, and was jumping up on my leg for me to pick up. I was trying to control him and continue our walk.

We proceeded on several more yards and I took another picture of the trees on a hill next to the pond. At this point my dog is so upset he’s literally pulling me and running so we ran all the way back to my house. I looked at the two pictures and was shocked to see the first picture of the geese, as to the left of them was a massive, dark, solid circular shape, looming probably to my best guess 800 feet or higher and maybe as wide or more, sitting on the ground and behind some trees, in the woods.

The second picture shows a large reptilian type being high in the trees above the large green tree where I can see its head, shoulders and arms. I got in my car and drove right back to this area and took pictures again of both areas and both the suspected UFO and reptilian being we’re both gone. Later that day I went back to this site with an EMF detector and it continued to spike large numbers in this area. This possible UFO also was sitting right next to the Tidewater Tower and propulsion building, making me wonder if it was garnishing energy of some type. It also looked as if trees and leaves were burned. I have checked my body and do not see any initial marks and do not believe I was abducted. - MUFON (original photos were not included).
