SHAPESHIFTING 'GARGOYLE-LIKE' CRYPTID Encounter on Fort Hall Reservation, Idaho
A Fort Hall Reservation resident encounters an upright coyote-like creature that walks out in front of his vehicle, then shapeshifts into a gargoyle-like cryptid that flies skyward.
“Okay, I don't know where to start. So I was driving down a back road on our rez in Idaho (Shoshone-Bannock Tribes - Fort Hall Reservation). It was about 1:30 AM. I was trying to get to town before 2:00 AM closing time, so you can say I was buzzed. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say I was a 5 or 4 - coming from another town that closes early (in a different county).
I picked up a buddy on the way (he was sober) to drive me. So we were driving down the road at about 50 MPH when all of a sudden we see something close to the road, on the left side shoulder. So we stopped.
Then the thing (grayish/whiteish thing) walked across the road in front of us. It looked at us and snarled. It had sharp teeth and looked like a werewolf, like, it was ugly as hell. We both looked at each other and were, like, GO!! Then it jumped into a tree on the right side. We hauled ass. Then something flew over us - an owl-like creature with wings. We didn't know if it transformed into a big owl or what. We didn't care. We just wanted to get away.
After I told a few people, they said maybe it was a gargoyle. Have you heard about gargoyles? Skinwalkers? Werewolves? Scary stuff whatever it was.” Name withheld
NOTE: I have heard of a similar sighting on the Diné Navajo (Naabeehó Diné Biyaad) reservation at a location near the Arizona/New Mexico border just west of Gallup, NM. The gentleman I talked to was driving his pickup when he saw an upright coyote-like creature standing in the road. He stated that it shapeshifted into a huge gray gargoyle-like humanoid and swiftly rose up into the sky. Bizarre. Lon

A Chicago woman is at her father's apartment. She is on the balcony taking a break when she observes a 'Glimmer Man' in the tree below her. There is another witness as well. She believes that the entity still inhabits the area and that she occasionally experiences a feeling of dread when visiting her father.
A Lawrence County, Kentucky woman tells her son about a hairy humanoid creature that would come down from the mountain and into her backyard at night. She has seen it twice. She describes it as an 'alien ape man.' Also, two Oklahoma feral hog hunters are set up in a field and using thermal scopes. The eyewitness observes an 8-10 foot tall hairy biped with a dog-like snout literally grab a large hog and rip it in half!

WINGED HUMANOID Encountered at Navajo Nation, NM Residence
A Navajo Nation resident describes her encounter with a winged humanoid above her home. She states that the body was 6-7 feet in length with a total wingspan of 15 feet.
Yah-ta-hey, New Mexico located in the Navajo Nation in McKinley County. The incident occurred in August 2018.
I wanted to look at the moon and stars without turning on the lights in my house and the outside lights. I have a lot of floodlights surrounding my house just for the purpose of keeping unwanted entities away and to feel safe because I also live alone.
I was enjoying the light of the moon and twinkling stars and the stillness of the night was standing on the threshold of the house and heard loud flapping. I stood thinking what the heck was making all that noise. I just so happened to look up towards the sound and this large humanoid creature was flying overhead about 25 or 30 feet above me. The span of each wing was as long as his body which I estimated about 6 to 7 feet. The total wingspan was close to 15 feet.
It flew over my sister's mobile home. The family always goes to bed early. It was flying north towards Shiprock, NM. I was wondering if this was the same flying creature people see around NAPI (Navajo Agricultural Products Industry).
I got so scared and started locking doors and turning on all the lights inside and outside. I spent a sleepless night hoping it wouldn't come back.
Two or three weeks ago the dogs were madly barking toward the canyon and the arroyo that runs close by. My son-in-law went to check and saw a big black being standing about I'd say 60 to 70 yards away, he was walking towards it to get a better look but he said it disappeared. So far I've not seen it again.”
NOTE: I hadn't heard of the winged humanoid sightings at Navajo Agricultural Products Industry in Farmington, New Mexico. After looking into the incidents, I was told that there had been two sightings of an unknown winged entity in 2017. The person I talked to said that the sightings were similar to those seen in and around Phoenix, AZ (image below).

Did Golden Gate Bridge Documentary 'The Bridge' Capture UFO? (VIDEO)
Content creator discovers an anomalous silver disc UFO craft flying through Golden Gate Bridge in the documentary film, The Bridge (2006), directed by Eric Steel.
In a video uploaded on August 20, 2022, YouTube Channel “Mountain of Entities” in a video titled “UFO disc flies thru Golden Gate Bridge caught on documentary film!!! Must see” discussed their interesting find.
NOTE: 'The Bridge' is a 2006 British-American documentary film by Eric Steel spanning one year of filming at the Golden Gate Bridge which crosses the Golden Gate entrance to San Francisco Bay, connecting the city of San Francisco, California to the Marin Headlands of Marin County, in 2004. The film shows a number of suicides, and features interviews with family and friends of some of the identified people who had thrown themselves from the bridge that year and one person who had jumped previously and survived.
Summary:
“I discover what appears to be an anomalous silver disc UFO craft flying through Golden Gate Bridge in the documentary film, The Bridge (2006), directed by Eric Steel. I sent a tweet to the director saying he should check it out. What do you think? Is it really an optical illusion or it is a real UFO?
Eric Steel tweeted me back saying:
"My guess is that it was a helicopter" What do you think? It is an illusion overlapping the tower?
As far as aircraft being able to fly below the bridge:
According to 91.119:
Except for takeoff or landing, no person may operate an aircraft below the following altitudes; Anywhere. An altitude allowing, if a power unit fails, an emergency landing without undue hazard to persons or property on the ground. Over other than congested areas. An altitude of 500' feet above the surface, except over open water or sparsely populated areas. In those areas, the aircraft may not be operated closer than 500' to any person, vessel, vehicle, or structure.”
Indeed, in the footage, filmed sometime in 2004, a metallic-looking object comes in from the left hand side of the screen and zips very close to the bridge before passing under it. One commenter, Sam Tanis, noted:
“I came here fully expecting to see a white bird flying by out of focus, but that is very interesting. It does look like a metallic object. With the shiny top, and the bottom in shadow, I think it actually is passing under the bridge, and at the moment it overlaps the bridge the shine of the top is no longer visible."

YELLOW-EYED 'GOATMAN' Attacked Commuter Bus Near Porto Alegre, Brazil
A commuter bus near Porto Alegre, Brazil was attacked by an unknown humanoid in the later 1980s. The witnesses described it as a naked yellow-eyed Goatman. The media covered the event.
The following account was forwarded to me:
"This happened between 1986 and 1989. My uncles and cousins lived in Lami, an area in the extreme south of Porto Alegre, Brazil.
My uncle, now deceased, had a small “boteco”(Brazilian restaurant). In that region, and at that time, the nearest neighbor was more than a kilometer away. Pasture and centenary trees predominated the landscape. To serve the region, there were two buses in the morning and two more in the early evening.
At that time there were rumors that a very large animal, with the body of a man and the head of an animal, had been seen nearby, and it was said that it attacked both animals and people. Several people claimed to have been attacked by this monster and luckily escaped. Others swore they had lost an ox or two to the creature.
My aunt, very skeptical, and dedicated to her children and day-to-day chores, did not like to pay attention to these “inventions of the people,” as she said. However, one day her disbelief was put to the test.
She and one of my cousins were returning home by bus, already in the dark of night. Less than ten people were on the bus, when in a certain part of the journey, something very large came out of the bush and hit the right side of the bus, and returned to the bush. The crash caused the driver, perhaps out of fright, to lose control and brake sharply, stopping partially in a ditch.
Despite the scare, there were no injuries, but people were very scared by that event. The driver got very irritated, and left the bus mumbling and cursing, going to check the damage and at the same time calling for help. Being in the dark, and still a long way from home, everyone stayed in their places.
A few minutes after the driver left, everyone heard a strange grunt, which could not be from an animal or human being, according to the witnesses. People panicked and started crowding right next to the conductor's chair.
Silence took over the people. Everyone was attentive to all external sounds when without warning, a new knock was given on the same side of the bus. Everyone got up and ran to the other side. Some of the people began to cry and pray, one lady became out of control, and my aunt, very afraid, remained to protect her son.
At that moment the bus began to be violently shaken as if something or something was shaking the vehicle from side to side. The dread grew as the bus rocked. It looked like it would be overturned at any moment. Looking through the windows, you could see a large figure outside, but you couldn't tell what it was.
Without the slightest warning everything stopped, and whatever was causing it started to make its way toward the front of the bus, where the door was open. At that moment, my aunt was so terrified that she wanted to die and not see what was attacking them. Even before the creature entered the bus, it was possible to smell a terrible, rotten, unbearable smell.
Everyone fled to the back of the bus and huddled in a corner, which made them look like a single, shapeless mass of people huddled together. Those who had the courage to look, swear to have seen a large naked man, with dark skin, a huge goat's head, with huge horns, and yellow eyes, who ran to the turnstile and stopped.
He spent a few seconds straining and huffing angrily, before turning around, getting off the bus, and disappearing into the bushes. Unbridled crying took over people. People were in shock, totally terrified.
A few long minutes passed when another bus pulled alongside this one. Another driver, who was called to help the damaged bus, was informed of what had happened and left to find the first driver who had not yet returned. Luckily, he was walking along the side of the road, returning from the place he called the bus company.
The Military Brigade was activated, and ambulances, experts, radio, and television came. The case was covered for a few months, with newspaper articles and interviews with the victims. Search parties searched for the creature's tracks, but they were never found.
Several theories were formulated about what would have attacked the bus. But nothing is proven. Apart from some dead animals, which were attributed to the creature, nothing else happened.
Nowadays that region is populated and very different from the time when the events occurred, leaving the mystery of the creature that attacked the bus lost and without explanation." EN

'FBI...open up please' - MIB POSES AS FBI AGENT!
A woman photographs a UFO and posts it on Facebook. Later, a MIB posed as an FBI agent knocks on her door and insists that she forget about what she saw. Very bizarre!
I received the following bizarre account:
"This occurred in December 2016. I was outside having a cigarette at my mom's property in Alexandria, Minnesota. It's not that far from a municipal airport so it's not that uncommon to see low-flying airplanes now and then over the farm. But that night I saw a bright light in the sky, and it moved slowly toward the direction of the airport. The light was so bright I couldn't see its shape.
It was strangely quiet and so the first thing I thought to do was get my phone out and video it. I thought I was in video mode but I was in camera mode. I took a blurry picture and then switched it to video mode but the screen froze up (which was normal) like it was taking a pic or trying to buffer or catch up. My phone froze and I had to restart it but by the time it restarted, it was so far away. It looked like it was going to land at the airport so I thought it probably wasn't a UFO.
Anyway, that night I posted a long Facebook post trying to be funny. Saying that I saw a UFO but I couldn't get it on video on time. And that it was probably a conspiracy and probably why no videos of UFOs exist. It was all tongue-in-cheek but it still weirded me out. It was so quiet for a plane. But it was going to the airport, and I don't think aliens land at small airports so I rationalized it away.
I came back to Los Angeles for New Year, and on New Year's Eve morning, I got a knock on my apartment door. I looked through the peephole and saw this creepy guy wearing a 'Mad Men' era hat and suit. Like a creepy bald Don Draper. I pretended I wasn't home but then he said "FBI, open up, please. We know you're in there." His voice sounded like either he was very old or someone had kicked him in the neck and he was out of breath...it's hard to explain but the only thing I can say is that the voice sounded fake. Like someone was doing an impression of an old man only doing really bad at it.
The FBI thing scared me. I had no reason to be, but the first thing that came into my mind was that I had downloaded the first season of 'Game of Thrones' to see what the fuss was about and I had used a torrent site and while I was there I had searched for porn to see what torrents had. I remember following the rabbit hole and reading a bunch of weird descriptions of weird movies. I didn't download any but I clicked on them and clicked on the preview image to one out of curiosity.
I thought maybe he thought I downloaded the porn or it was about 'Game of Thrones.' I started getting anxious. He pounded on the door some more and it freaked me out even more so. I said, "can I see some identification?" I looked through the peephole and he pulled out a badge, but it could have been a toy for all I knew. But he knew I was there. So I opened the door and prayed he wasn't a rapist and that if he was an FBI agent I could lie my way out of having downloaded 'Game of Thrones' and reading porn descriptions.
He was very scary looking. Old-timey clothes, no eyebrows. Two lazy eyes. Bald. Wrinkled forehead and neck. I almost peed myself. He said to me, "I need to talk to you about the flying saucer you saw on the 22nd of December."
This weirded me out more because my Facebook is private, and I posted no pictures. Just that comment. And I thought about that Snowden guy and how we are being watched and it really freaked me out.
I asked him how he knew and he said "FBI knows everything, ma'am." And he walked through my doorway about 4 feet in and stopped. And that's where we remained during our conversation.
I told him the story and he was emotionless and expressionless the whole time. The next part always makes me laugh when I think about it but at the time was just so out of the left field it completely tripped me out. He asked, "do your breasts produce milk?" I just said "no I'm not pregnant" and hoped this wasn't a weird pass he was making at me. "They're big but have no function." He said. Like a statement. I changed the subject back to the UFO and said "so was it a flying saucer that I saw? Was it aliens?" He said. "No such things as aliens. Forget about the incident." He then asked, "Do you think you have a theory as to why female people look so different from male people?" I was just weirded out more but tried to play it off "interesting question. I sometimes wonder why our bathing suits are small and guys' bathing suits are so big" (I had been thinking about this before) He then said, "Do you think that bathing is the first step in controlling our evolution?"
I was just like "sure man." I wanted him out and it was creepy, but I wanted to be nice and not set him off. Then sh*t got even weirder. He just went silent. And I was silent. It was like he ran out of batteries. I kept smiling at him and he was not smiling back. "Can I help you with anything else? I'd love to help. blah blah blah." Just nervous blathering.
"Flying saucers don't exist. Don't talk about it." "Ok, I won't." "I can't seem to find the door." This was even weirder. It was just behind him. So I thought he must be joking and I smiled and said it was right behind him. "Can you show me?" So then I tried to lead him to the door. He wouldn't turn his neck but I got him to turn his whole body around but it was like pulling teeth. "Are you ok? Should I call the hospital?" "I just get stuck." Not got or get stuck sometimes it was just "I just get stuck," which I thought was weird at the time but now that I'm typing it, I guess it makes more sense. He then walked out. I closed the door as fast as I could.
My heart was beating so fast and I was replaying everything in my head so I could get the story down. Some of it made me laugh, but I was so creeped out. I told my mom, and she said he must have been on drugs.
Over the years I've told some people this story. I've heard "FBI agents don't investigate UFO sightings" or maybe a friend was playing a joke. But nobody ever comments on how unearthly he looked. They just assume he's human. To me, the more I think about it the less human I think he is." JHS

SCARY HIKE While Being Followed For Days on Virginia's Appalachian Trail
A young couple is on the Appalachian Trail in southern Virginia when they become aware of someone or something following them. The next few days were a harrowing experience.
I received the following account recently:
'Back in 2018 my girlfriend and I decided to hike the Appalachian Trail in Virginia. We had hiked other parts of the AT north of Virginia but had never gone this far south. The section we took ran through George Washington and Jefferson National Forests from Roanoke County to Giles County. It is one of the more remote parts of the trail, which is exactly what we were looking for.
We gathered our gear and made our way to the Virginia Creeper Trail to begin our journey. It was early October and the air was crisp and cool. Perfect hiking weather with beautiful scenery. The majority of the trip was pretty uneventful. Just your typical hike. But, our last couple of nights is where things got strange
On this portion of the trail, you are supposed to camp on the trail or at a designated shelter. We didn't really want to run into other people and didn't want anyone coming up on us in the middle of the night. We decided to ignore those suggestions and find our own little spot off the trail. After a little searching around and we found a spot a little ways off the trail in the middle of a small clearing. We set up camp, cooked some food, talked for a while then snuggled up and went to sleep for the night.
Somewhere around 2 am, I was awakened by my girlfriend shaking me awake and telling me "Get your gun! Someone is outside walking around our tent!" She told me that she woke up to what sounded like someone right outside the tent running a knife or something along the side while circling us. When hiking I carry a .45 automatic. You never know exactly who or what you might run into when at a remote location. I got the gun out of my pack and then we sat silently listening for any sounds.
After a while, we heard snapping and crunching sounds of someone or something walking in the woods behind our tent. I got the flashlight and silently made my way out of the tent. Our fire had gone out so it was nearly pitch black. I told my girlfriend to stay put while I checked it out. I didn't flick the flashlight on right away. I waited to hear more noises. After a few minutes, the sounds were bipedal. I turned on the flashlight and flooded the area with light. I thought I saw someone move behind a tree. I yelled out and told them to go away and that I was armed. I kept the light on the area with my gun drawn and slowly approached the area where I thought I saw the figure. Then, from my right, I hear what sounds like someone running away through the woods. I spin and face my light that way, and then from the original spot hear who or whatever was there take off into the woods. There's no way I am giving chase, so I return to the campsite. I end up sitting guard outside the tent, in the darkness until daybreak.
In the morning, I looked around a bit for signs of who or whatever it was and I discovered a boot print in some soft moist dirt not far from our tent. It wasn't mine and it wasn't my girl's. This freaked me out as it confirmed that someone, perhaps more than one, was stalking around our tent. I kept it to myself because I didn't want to freak my girl out any more than she already was. At this point, we were pretty deep in and still had 2 days left.
When it came time to set up camp, I found a spot near a cliff where we could place the tent in a small overhang and prevent anyone from coming up behind us. The whole day up to this point I had a feeling we were being followed. I had no confirmation of this as I hadn't seen or heard anyone else, but it was just a gut feeling. We set up camp and made some food, then retreated to the tent. I kept the gun right next to me and I assured her that if I slept at all it would be with one eye open. After a while, she drifted off to sleep and I stayed awake listening to the sounds of the woods at night.
I was awake for a few hours, just waiting to see if anything was going to happen. At some point, I drifted off. I awoke sometime later to what sounded like someone going through our stuff outside the tent. I grabbed my gun and woke my girlfriend. From the faint glow of the fire, I could see someone's silhouette against the tent. There was really someone out there. I yelled out to them that I was armed! They stopped what they were doing and bolted. I came out of the tent, gun drawn and ready to shoot someone. Our stuff was strewn all about. I walked to the edge of the woods in the direction of whoever was out there who had fled. There was a creek nearby and I walked to the edge, where there was a small trail running alongside it. Down the creek, I could see a light. it looked like a lantern the way it flickered. Then I saw 3 more emerge from the other side of the woods.
I told my girlfriend to start packing up whatever she could and that we were leaving. Now! We packed up everything of value, left the tent and a few other items, and headed back onto the trail, in the middle of the night. I kept hearing people talking off in the woods and hearing branches snap for quite some ways. I kept looking behind us every few seconds to make sure nobody was coming up to us. It was completely nerve-wracking. If something happened, we were still a long way from anywhere and quite literally on our own, since we hadn't seen another hiker the entire time we had been out there. I really felt we were in serious danger.
We had been walking for quite some time when I heard something in the woods behind us. As we rounded a corner I turned around and saw someone step out onto the trail and just stand there watching us. It was just as the sun was coming up and barely any light. I couldn't make out any features, just the silhouette. I stopped and looked at them for a second and asked them who they were and what they wanted. They just stood there silently, watching us, and then turned and walked back into the woods.
We picked up the pace and kept going, looking back every so often. We didn't see them again. But my gut told me they were still there for quite a ways.
We eventually reached the end of the trail and got to where we had parked my girlfriend's car, extremely exhausted. We made it out of the Virginia woods without becoming a victim of whoever was following us." AA
NOTE: This section of the Appalachian Trail is well-known for Bigfoot encounters and other unexplained incidents, including 'Not Deer.' It's difficult to determine who or what was actually following them. Lon

Terrifying INVISIBLE RED-EYED BEING Wearing Long Sleeved Shirt & Pants
A group of friends encounters a red-eyed invisible being that is wearing a long sleeved shirt and tan pants on a rural Michigan road. Could it have been a 'Glimmer Man?'
“This life-changing and terrifying event took place in 1986 in Belding, Michigan. We were on the back roads with three of my friends. We turned off the road onto a two-track and stopped the car my friend and I jumped out and jumped on the back of the car and got a huge luggage rack so we could hold ourselves on without falling off. We were cruising down the two trap which was woods on each side and went back further and further until it came to a cornfield.
Now there was a cornfield on one side of us and woods on the other side. As we were approaching a 90-degree turn, there was a little cutout in the cornfield and just as we were turning, we saw something standing there that had red eyes and was invisible.
Now, this is where I'm going to lose a lot of people. This is the absolute truth. We all saw a shape of an invisible person who was also wearing a long sleeved shirt, tan pants, and glowing red eyes.
As we turn, the car stalled out and that put my fear out of control to the point. I thought I was going to lose my mind. My friend and I jumped off the car and jumped into the back seat and we took off. I was actually sitting on the floorboard, afraid to see another person outside of the car. I can't explain the fear that I was feeling. I absolutely thought I was going to lose my mind.
Fortunately, we were some of the weak ones and we never got back together after that point. We all went our separate ways and never spoke about it. At first, I couldn't speak about it because the fear was running so high in me. I've told very few people since but only a couple of people have believed me so it's nice to be able to tell my story and not get ridiculed.
It messed with me bad. I still refuse to have any electronics in my house that have red lights if that tells you anything.”

BIGFOOT ENCOUNTER During Eagle Creek Fire in Columbia River Gorge
Clackamas County, Oregon man has a Bigfoot encounter on a local golf course. He believes that there were multiple Bigfoot seeking shelter from the Eagle Creek Fire in the Columbia River Gorge.
I recently received the following account:
"It was a Sunday morning the 3rd of December 2017. I was playing the back nine at Eagle Creek Golf Course alone. The air was heavy with wildfire smoke from the Eagle Creek Fire in the Columbia River Gorge caused by fireworks. I was on the 13th hole bordering Bonnie Lure State Park in Clackamas County, Oregon.
My drive hit a tall Douglas Fir tree about 30 feet up dead center. It made a classic wood knock sound. I regularly look for lost golf balls and often take a look over the cliff to the right side of the green. As I stepped up to the edge I heard a grunt and a loud wood knock followed by a loud howl. I could feel the vibration in my chest. It started with an ape-like 'oooh' sound and rose in pitch and volume. Immediately afterward a pack of coyotes started howling. I ran back to my bag for my phone but it was too late. Everything went silent. I did take some videos and still shots but never saw anything.
As I approached the 14th tee, three deer were flushed from down below onto the course. No other witnesses, unfortunately. I believe there was a group of Bigfoot seeking shelter from the fire. If you look on Google maps you will see how this would be a likely place to hide." E

'GLIMMER MAN' Recently Observed & Reported by Two Chicago Witnesses
A Chicago woman is at her father's apartment. She is on the balcony taking a break when she observes a 'Glimmer Man' in the tree below her. There is another witness as well.
I recently received the following account:
"I'm no storyteller but I will try to recall as much detail as possible. Now my experience happened on September 2, 2022, so not that long ago. I had been out through the day running a few errands here and there for my dad who is elderly. Later that same day to return back to my dad's apartment which just happens to be in a tall residential building in Chicago. His apartment is 6 floors up.
At some point during the earlier evening, I decided to go out on the balcony for a quick cigarette. I was standing there just staring out into thin air not really thinking about much or doing much. As I stood there with my cigarette in hand I shifted position and began to observe a very large tree about 20 feet away. It was roughly about 15 feet down from me. I noticed that one of the branches on this tree was bowing quite heavily which I remember now thinking back was quite odd at the time. As I'm staring at this branch and trying to make sense of what my eyes are seeing I have this horrible feeling come over me. The most intense sense of dread and fear. It was like almost every part of my body was screaming at me to turn around and run, but I didn't know why.
At this very moment, the bowing branch that I had just been observing began to shake violently despite my internal instincts still screaming at me to leave. Curiosity had now gotten the better of me and I started to move along the railing to get a closer look. Then I saw it. What I saw at first was a small glimmering form. As I stared a bit closer this glimmer then became what I can only describe as a transparent human figure that shimmed a yellowish-white color. I snapped out of my fixated stare and quickly took a step back from the railing. It suddenly hit me that what I was looking at was like something straight from the movie 'Predator." More specifically when the Predator is using camouflage.
At that very moment when I realized what I had just seen this 'thing' dropped out of the tree and hit the ground below. It landed directly behind a man who just happened to be walking past at the time. The man immediately spun around assuming that someone had thrown something at him. The only thing I noticed was a cloud of smoke or dust arising from the ground behind the man. I waited for some time expecting to see this thing re-emerge from the dust or smoke but it was completely gone.
At the same time, another neighbor just a few floors below had also observed exactly the same thing as me and they managed to confirm all the same details. The neighbor and I then managed to track down the man who was walking past a few hours later. We had a conversation with the man and he said that he'd felt an impact but didn't see anything when he turned around. He also went on to report that he felt the same dread that I'd experienced only hours before.
Does anyone have any idea what these beings are? I feel like they can be dangerous. FL"
NOTE: I was eventually able to talk to both witnesses by telephone. They both are very apprehensive about this entity. 'FL' believes that the entity still inhabits the area and that she occasionally experiences a feeling of dread when visiting her father. The location is in the Groveland Park neighborhood. Lon

OCHEESEE POND 'WILD MAN': Bigfoot or Feral Human?
Did the people living around a Florida Panhandle swamp actually capture a Bigfoot back in 1884? The evidence indicates that they did. Ocheesee Pond is a swampy lake near Sneads and Grand Ridge in Jackson County, Florida. It is more than three miles long and nearly the same distance wide.
In 1884, something very strange happened there according to local lore and the New York Times. A mysterious creature began causing problems for local people living around Ocheesee Pond in the Shady Grove community. The story is that they saw this thing but couldn't tell what it was. It was raiding their gardens at night and stealing their chickens.
The people of the Ocheesee Pond area were tough people living in a tough time. Many of them were former Confederate soldiers. They decided to go out and find this thing and see what it was. So they organized a search posse. They armed themselves and then went into the swamps.
They eventually caught the Ocheesee Pond Wild Man. News of the capture was carried up the Apalachicola and Chattahoochee Rivers by the Steamboat Amos Hayes. A correspondent from the New York Times heard the story in Columbus, Georgia, and shared it with readers.
The description that appeared in the New York Times indicated that he was emaciated and covered with thin from head to toe. He couldn't speak and was unintelligible. They said they didn't know what they had found. He was later taken to nearby Chattahoochee, Florida in the belief that he might be an escaped mental patient. He was eventually placed in the Florida State Asylum for the Insane. He apparently died there a couple of years later.
The legend lives on around Ocheesee Pond of the mysterious creature captured that day. Some even believe that his descendants still roamed these swamps and sightings of similar creatures continue to this day.

Hadley Vlahos is a registered nurse, author, nonprofit founder, content creator, mom, and wife. I have been a nurse since 2015 and have worked in hospice and elder care since 2016. I share stories on social media @nursehadley about my life as a mom and nurse as well as uplifting stories from my patients as I hear their incredible advice that they want to leave this world with. By doing this, not only do my followers' lives change for the better, but my patients are able to live on through everyone who hears their stories. My book, “The In-Between” with Penguin Random House will be in stores this summer and is a collection of patient stories that changed my perspective on life and the afterlife. I am currently pursuing opening a nonprofit hospice house which I hope will eventually become the new standard of care for hospices nationwide.
